Apple error?

Hello, I have a question.
If my Macbook Pro came bad from the factory?
The first day I turned on my Macbook Pro 2012 (not retina), it came with a bad pixel (there was a with little line on myy Mac). The second problem was whrn I made my first update, my screen was gray for 3 minutes after the updaten finished (I turn it off and on and it was gray). Another problem was that when I openned it the first time it had a scratch on the back of the screen. The third problem is that my superdrive sounds with no cd on it, it makes an strange loud sound. The last problem was that during the update I made my fan died and lag started.
Im very delicate with my Mac because I really like them, this is the first time that this happens to a Mac I bought.
This is a factory problem?
Can they exchange my Mac for another one?

You should take your MacBook Pro to your nearest Apple store for an evaluation.

    Hi
Recently I purchased Iphone 4-s and tried to connect it to my existing i-tunes but it didnt recognise the device. So I tried updating the I-tunes to see if it made a difference but it was no good.
Hence i followed the trouble shooting and uninstalled and re-installed i-tunes but it wont get installed properly now. Since then I have un-installed and re-installed the complete set of i-tune softwares a dozen times but it still gives me the same error- Apple Error: 2 and Windows Error :2 and report of being unable to install the Apple Application Support software. I have spent 2 1/2 hours talking to the Apple Technical Support Team regarding this but it still hasnt been resolved.( In addition, i have ensured the firewalls are disabled and also opened new user account (admin priviledges) to try and download it)
Now not only can i use my iphone but also my ipod is out of action in regards to music and downloads.
I would really really really appreciate anyone helping me in this matter as i am in dire straits now.
Thank you so much in advance
    Regards

I also have this problem. I cannot open links from a discussion board I frequent nor can I open links from my email. Also after opening my email, I cannot go to any other sites except my home page. I can then go no where else.
When I close Firefox and try to reopen it, it does nothing! I have to bring up the Task Manager and end the Firefox process before I can get back in.
To the best of my knowledge, this problem started with the new update to Ver. 3.6.9. I am running Windows XP Media Center 2005

Hi. I recently got a new computer and transferred all my files across using TimeMachine. Whenever I try to sign into any CC program (including CC) the program instantly shuts down and an Apple error message comes up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled CC twice with no avail and deleted every Adobe product on my computer and nothing is working.

I have seen similar discussions before... transferring does not work, you must install

  • I am running Windows7 on my PVC. When I log in I'm getting two Apple error messages. One says, " The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll." The second says, "Apple Photostreams stop

I am running Windows7 on my PVC. When I log in I'm getting two Apple error messages. One says, " The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll." The second says, "Apple Photostreams Uploader has stopped working".  Help!

Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of. If that doesn't help read on...
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

Contact whoever you got it from. If they can't or won't remove the lock, get your money back. If they won't do that, or you can't contact them, turn it over to the police. It's probably stolen.
There is no way to bypass the activation lock.

  • Unbelieveable lack of support from Apple (error -50 issue)

Well I've just updated iTunes again and of course, I still have the -50 error trying to download the video I purchased over a month ago. That's at least 3 or 4 releases of the software and still no fix. And before somebody recommends that I do the things mentioned on this forum (like deleting the .tmp file and rebuilding your music), I've done all of those. Also, I purchased a ringtone the other day for my iPhone and it downloaded just fine SO THE ISSUE IS OBVIOUSLY RELATED TO iTunes and a large (over 2gig) video file and has nothing to do with my computer.
What really gets me is that I've posted more than once on this subject, along with other people, and have absolutely no support from Apple. Oh well, at least I have a $100 voucher I can use for something. Maybe I can get my $10 back for the video I paid for....
I also have a mac Mini so I really consider myself a good Apple customer. To bad they don't really seem to care....

  • HT1349 Cannot play my music - Apple error message

even though i have changed my e-mail address and password i keep getting my old e-mail address in the window to authorize use of my computer. Last time i purchase from i-tune was 2010.  Then i get an error message that i have not used my apple ID. How can i get the music i paid for on my list in my file/play list ??

If you are trying to play music from your iTunes on your computer, use the Computers icon with Home Sharing enabled in iTunes - the library should appear there.

  • TS3694 what is error 3014.It is listest in the apple error directory but with no **** solution provided by apple!!

whatis this **** error and how do we overcome it? Apple does not provide a solution!

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile]]
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Ok, I've had my iPad Mini forsince Febuary now and I have not had a problem until now. I was perfectly fine on iOS 6.1.3 and suddenly I recieve a software update foriOS 7. • Apple error message reminiscent of Microsoft

Scary how Apple is copying Microsoft these days by having their apps create error messages that mean nada, zip, zilch (and worse).
I keep getting an error message that includes the following:
    Status: Failed: QuickTime Error: -120
Wow, thanks Apple - that helps lots
Anybody have a clue what -120 means?

The codes you found are OS 9 and earlier. I'm guessing the QuickTime -120 I'm getting has to do with something else.
At this point I'm assuming, seeing as it's always the QuickTime file within the batch that is failing, that whatever part of the QuickTime engine being used to compress the file within Compressor is incapable of rendering Flash or whatever within a web page at the same time, hence the error message and failed process.

  • Help with Apple Error Code & Intermitant Boot Up Problems and ? marks

Well that was a long winded Subject line but I am a technical individual ... but know PC's and learn the Mac world which I have fallen in love with.
Recently I have been getting lock up as well as hanging boot ups with the flashing question mark on the screen.
I have been doing some research and one of the most recent things I did was run the Apple Hardware Test. During the quick test I received the following erro message:
    4M0T/ 40000003: HDD
I am feeling like this likely a hard drive problem but not certain. I was trying to find what this error code meant and havent any luck yet so I thought I would try and post here. If I could find the error codes it woul dbe helpful. But if you have any ideas please help me out.
I have had session lock up where I can not do anything but move the mouse, totally frozen sessions, as well as boot ups.
One of the things I did earlier was run the TechTools System Tools that came with my Imac. It said everything was fine. So confused with what is wrong.

For an iMac 24 inch (Early 2008) 3.06 GHz machine, the 4MOT error code* indicates a fan issue, and recommends that a technician…
    • shut down, the power back on and retest the machine
    • verify that the fan speed indicator is not a zero value (yours is reporting a 3)
Without special tools and substantial experience, and because doing so would require opening your machine and thereby invalidating its existing warranty, they indicate that a technician should…
    • verify that the fan blades are not obstructed by cables, tape or other obstacles
    • verify that the fans are properly connected to the logic board and rotate when the machine is started
    • if the problem persists, replace the fans and retest the machine
    • if it still persists, replace the logic board
While HDD is a commonly used abbreviation for hard disk or hard drive, there is no Apple Hardware Test error indicator for a hard drive for this particular platform, and yours does not relate to one based upon that AHT result. While there may be a sensor issue in play, AHT does not report a sensor issue in your case.
You may wish to run the SMART diagnostics against your drive to see if it indicates an impending failure, but what you report is limited strictly to fan operation. You should take your covered machine into a dealer or service provider in order to have it tested and repaired under warranty.
*NOTE: these error codes are often non-unique, and can mean very different things from one model series to another, and—within one product family—from one specific machine type to another.

  • Working in CS 5.5, ID continuously crashes when placing images of any kind, Adobe says its an apple error. What do I do?

Using an imac with 8gb ram, intel core, OS 10.9.5. I currently have CS 5.5. When working in InDesign, it continuously crashes whenever I place an image on the page. I've tried all types of images and sizes, but it still crashes. Talked to an adobe tech, they said it was an apple issue. I sent them the crash report and followed all of there instructions, but still crashes. Any suggestions on what to do next? Is there a patch that I'm missing?

I found 2 reports from InDesign: Just a note, my entire computer doesn't shut down, just InDesign.
