Apple replaced my iPhone 4s but the tracks bought previoulsy (on the old phone) wont update to the new phone... help please!

Hello,
Apple have recently replaced my phone due to a faulty lock button. I have now sync'd my new phone with iTunes but the songs bought from the original phone wont sync to the new phone.
I know this is basic but any help is welcome.
Thanks,
J

Are those songs in iTunes on your computer?  With your iPhone plugged in and iTunes running, do you have the appropriate boxes checked in the Music tab?
