Apple Store Complaint

I recently ordered a iPad through the apple store. I chose to go through the store because the iPad is a gift and it's the only way I could have it engraved. I placed the order and opted to pay for it through a wire transfer, since I did not want my partner to see the purchase appear on the credit card statement.  It has now been a week and Apple still can't find the money. I even e-mailed the prrof of payment from my bank. I've been in touch with customer service, who inittially could not even find my order. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

  • Who do I contact to file a complaint about wifi on my new IPhone5 and poor customer service at the Apple Store in Leawood, KS

I am having problems connecting to wifi at home with my new IPhone 5.  I got it replaced today at the Apple Store after dealing with a rude customer service person yesterday and today.  They simply would not listen to me explain all the troubleshooting I have done.  I also have an Apple Airport Extreme base station router, Macbook Air, two IPads, IMac and my husband's IPhone 5 on this wifi system with no problems.  After talking to Apple Care yesterday, they told me to go to the store today to exchange my phone.  The customer service person argued with me that I would have the same problems even if I exchanged the phone.  This has been a very frustrating experience and after being a loyal "Apple" geek for many years, I'm seriously thinking about returning my IPhone 5 and getting a Samsung Galaxy S3!  This is totally unacceptable!  Tech support at Apple Care was great yesterday and that person actually listened to me unlike the two individuals at the Apple Store in Leawood, KS.  How do I file a complaint about the hassles at the Apple Store?

    Talk to the store manager.
    Regards.

  • How do I submit a complaint about an Apple store?

I want to lodge a complaint about the (lack of) service at the Apple store in Eaton Centre, Toronto, where I made a reservation for training, and no trainer showed up. The site does not include any information about how to actually contact Apple management. Thanks

No, you're question was about filing a complaint about the Toronto store. This is a user forum, not a complaint forum nor a line to Apple. Apple is not listening here.
If you want to send Apple feedback do so at Apple Feedback. If you want to resolve your issue with the specific store then call the store manager. We are all users like you. We cannot resolve your problem.

  • How to lodge a complaint for bad Apple store experience

    Hi
I had the worst experience of the lifetime with Apple store in Castle Hill Tower Sydney on 23/4/15. The Manager on duty (Mr Steve who refused to give his last name or employee number)  was very arrogant and gave very insulting treatment. When I asked that I want to complain about him, the Manager behaved as if nobody was going to take any action against him (welcome this is Apple - sic)
I want to know how to lodge a complaint against Apple bad customer service.I checked Apple website which to my astonishment did not give any easy option for mailing complaints.
Can anybody tell me where to lodge complaints. Thanks.

  • How to file complaint against an Apple store?

Hi, I would like to know please how to file this complaint against an apple store:
    Dear Apple support,
I have a MacBook Pro (Model No: A1226 ans SN: w87***x91) which I purchased from "Apple Line" store (http://www.appleline.com.eg) August 2007. The problem is, on December 2008 it suddenly stopped working. Apple Line told me it needs a new Motherboard and that it will cost me around 1,272 US$! or, as an option, they can buy my MacBook for around 170 US$!!! (The same MacBook I bought from them for around 2,730$!!!).
Asking another store, "Sync" http://www.syncegypt.com/, I was told that Apple offers free replacement for this model in particular, due to some graphics card failure (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377) even if after warranty for as long as two years.
The problem is that they told me I need to pay about 400$ shipment fees for that!!!
Please tell me how to get it repaired for free as Apple announced (Or replace it even with a newer model and pay the extra cost)
Also consider this an official complaint against your resellers giving me false and misleading information all the time which lead to a great deal of harm, waste of time and losses.
    Thank you and best regards...
    <Edited by Moderator>

Good luck with that. First, be aware that Apple doesn't read these forums, its user to user, You need to contact AppleCare for further assistance.
Second, you purchased your item from an Apple Authorized reseller -- that was NOT an official Apple Store...most users here aren't going to be able to help you or even advise you what to further look at, nor how to get it repaired in Egypt.
Third, sorry about your problems, but charging for shipping for repairs is pretty standard, and they often charge more for people in other countries than we pay here in the US...
Hope you get your problems resolved, but this forum isn't the right place for this.

  • The New Istanbul Apple Store Frustrating... Where should I submit my complaint?

    Hi,
The first Apple store in Istanbul had a grand opening last month. I was so happy like some other Apple users in Istanbul, because I have bought all of my Apple products from Apple Stores in the US. I have always been so much impressed of  Apple's great customer satisfaction approach. Each time, when I got an issue and go to the Apple Store, I have always got out with a smilling face.
However, I have been experiencing serious problems since I upgraded my Iphone 4 to ios 7.1 . I went to the store in Istanbul (29th of May)  and try to ask my question but unfortunately the employees seemed not happy with serving the customers. Finally I got a young rep working for Genius Bar. The whole exact conversation was exactly below:
Me: - Hi, I got a question about an upgrade issue for my Iphone 4 and I have been so frustrated. Could you please guide me?
Apple Employee- have you got an appointment?
Me: Nope. But I just need an answer and I may wait because I could not sort out in the last 4-5 days.
Apple Employee- I am sorry, first go online and get an appointment. Don't see these people waiting for genius bar? This is how it works here.
Me: I would like to wait till you guys are done and I would like to have my quick answer.
Apple Employee: Sorry, everyone here got some problems and they all took the appointment.By the way, I got an Iphone 4 and upgraded to newes IOS and got no problems.
Me: Okay. But I got problems, sorry for bringing problems to you. Can I get the appoinment here and can I wait here. It does not take weeks, right?
Apple Employee: At least 7 days.
Me: Are you kidding me? I was thinking to buy the new Iphone 5s and put my second sim on my iphone 4. Then I will be stepping out the store and go to Samsung Store , buy a new Galaxy.
Apple Employee: Sure... It is your choise sir. If you would like to buy Samsung.
Me: Could I talk to your supervisor?
Apple Employee: Yes, he is right next to me (he calls the supervisor. And the store is fully packed with customers and everyone hears all this tragic conversation)
Supervisor: Yes sir. My coleague is right. You should get an appointment and wait for approximately 7 days. By the way, your phone is out of warranty because one of the screws are not there.
Me: This phone has never been opened by anyone.
Supervisor: It is impossible, you opened the phone and lost the screw. So this phone is out of warranty.
Me: I am saying that this device has never been in the service, never touched. Moreover, my case is a software upgrade issue.
Supervisor: Sorry. If you would like to, you may contact Apple Customer Service.
I still feel so speechless and frustrated. The products in the store are great, design looks as same as other Apple Stores in the States but the employees are really problematic and tragic. I have never been insulted and humilated as a customer in my life.
Thanks Apple Store in Istanbul. I will tell everyone around me not to go there. But I am so so frustrated and would like to share my experince with someone who knows the real Apple Customer Satisfaction approach. I am so lost and don't know what to do.

Supervisor: It is impossible, you opened the phone and lost the screw. So this phone is out of warranty.Wow, I think that supervisor may need some training.  On something that small, a defective screw could fall out, and be missed the moment it is outside its case.   That in my humble opinion is not something most users could or would notice.   Talk about minutia of details.    Now if the moment they bought the phone the cover seemed a bit loose, that would be noticeable, but only if the screw was in an important place to keep it together.  If there are at least 2 screws elsewhere, the looseness of the case may never happen.   Better evidence the phone was opened would be needed, such as something out of place inside the phone.  Without having an appointment to visually inspect inside the phone, you can't really tell for certain it wasn't just a defective screw.

  • How can i file a complaint about the service i received from a licenced apple store?

    hi dmachine,

  • Is there any way to find out if an apple store can replace a macbook air battery whilst you are there before you go there?

My MacBook Air has come up with the Service Battery warning and isn't holding charge as well as it used to.  I expect the battery needs replacing.
How do I find out if an applestore can replace it there and then?
I've been told I need to go online to book a genius appointment, and online the nearest apple store is one that can service macbook air laptops.  However, when I go online and select book genius appointment for mac at this applestore it says "There are no available appointments at this store".
When I speak to apple on the phone, I am told, it is not possible to tell me on the phone whether apple stores have spare batteries or not for my macbook air.
On Tuesday I may have time to go to this apple store (Liverpool) without a genius appointment, but not to the next city (Manchester Trafford Centre).  When I look for appointments at the Trafford Centre, the only available slot in the next 7 days is on Friday which I cannot do as I am not in the country.  It is not possible to book further forward.
So, I really don't want to be going on a wild goose chase trying to find somewhere that can provide and fit a new battery.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated as to how I can get a new battery fitted for my macbook air as soon as possible.
As this is not a rant or complaint (my previous post was removed), I also would like to clearly provide the same constructive criticism as included in my previous post.  When the problem "Service Battery" is highlighted by the laptop, in this "connected world" we live in, I think excellent customer service would be being able to book a genius appointment from your laptop with 1 or 2 clicks and also to be able to buy and reserve a battery to be fitted there and then.
As my macbook air is critical for my work and I used it 7 days a week, I really need to be able to replace on applecare customer service to fix this.  Thanks.

call them, tell them you NEED a new battery installed, and they need to tell you when they can do it.  That is their job to help you! Give pushback if necessary.

  • Any luck with exchanges at Apple Store?

I have read multiple complaints that ipad 2 exchanges are wors then the first one people received.
Wanted to see if anyone has had luck in the past week in getting a replacement ipad 2 w/o light bleeding issues.

    Sylo wrote:
I'm on my 4th one going for the 5th tomorrow, its a funny thing this light bleed becuase the guy at the Apple store said that there isn't any iPad's out there that don't have a light bleed. furthermore he said if people say they dont have a light bleed there just lying.
So can anyone out there with a PERFECT iPad 2 come forward and show some pictures to prove this guy is wrong!
I have two 64GB AT&T Black with absolutely no display imperfections. No white spots, no yellow discoloration, no dead pixels, no light bleeding. I'd say the salesman was a salesman.
I 'tested' my displays by taking a picture with the camera lens covered and displaying it in the photo app. I couldn't tell any difference between that and the black with the unit turned off.
Edited to add: I ordered these online at 6:55pm PDT Mar 11 and received them at 10:20am Mar 29.

  • Where to complains about apple assistence and apple store

is there a was to assing feedback to an apple store?

If you have a complaint about an official Apple store or a re-seller you are within your rights to make a formal protest to ...
    Apple
    1 Infinite Loop
    Cupertino, CA 95014
Put it in writing and make sure all the relevant detail, dates of purchase and visits are accurately recorded.
Having said that, we cannot tell from your post or profile how old your machine is, whether it is still covered by the warranty or if you bought AppleCare.  If it is more than 12 months old and you did not buy AppleCare then I'm afraid the cost of repairs is on your shoulders and there would be no grounds to make a formal complaint.

  • I have an answer: Why payment declined in apple store

I know there's a lot of people having problems with apple store declining payments and I have been in that road. I also have called apple care to see if it's in their end and they told me I have to call my credit card company to see why it's declining. SO I DID! Here's is some of the possible causes that you all might not know about. Here's what happened to mine.
I was trying to purchase an app that is $9.99 and kept declining my card. Asked me to verify security code, address etc... I did and still a pop up method of payment declined.
Here's the answer from my bank. Any app that is over $5.00 is a suspect of fraud will put a hold on your payment. Hence, declined. The bank told me if I want to open the account specifically for Apple Store indefinitely? (meaning if I don't want any restriction amount, it will proceed). So, I said yes. So, they took off the Block.
Second thing you have to know is.... everytime you keep trying to buy the app and it is declining... Apple will charge you $1.00 everytime you try to keep accessing the app you are trying to download but keeps declining on you. Why didn't apple tell us about this? I don't have that answer and I'm about to make a complaint because the bank company don't have that access except for apple.
I hope this will enlighten anyones possible problem. I am sure this is not the only problem that's causing yours to decline.

    They do not charge you.
It is an authorization hold.  It will be reversed.

  • Just got back from the Apple store RE: wifi problems. No fix in sight.

I took my iPad into the Apple store this afternoon because of the wifi issues I've been having. The problem I'm having is that the connection frequently drops and I get a message that says "Incorrect Wifi Password". This has been happening a TON lately and is getting really annoying.
The genius at the Apple store tested my iPad on their network and couldn't replicate the problem. Therefore, he concluded that the iPad is not defective. He talked a lot about router technology and basically said that every other router and network other than what's at the Apple store is old technology, that's why it doesn't work. This is an unacceptable answer. He offered no fix or remedy for the problem.
I asked him if Apple is working on a remedy and he said they are NOT because there is NO PROBLEM.
Judging by what I've read on here and experienced, there IS A PROBLEM APPLE!
Since he was convinced that my device is functioning properly and also that Apple is not going to provide a fix or update to address the wifi issues, I asked about the return policy. He said I WOULD HAVE TO PAY A RESTOCKING FEE BECAUSE MY DEVICE IS NOT DEFECTIVE! <--- can you tell I'm yelling??!!
I asked him to help me understand how a device is not defective that can't function as intended on any network other than an Apple network. He said if my iPad works in the store, it's not defective and I'd have to pay the 10% restocking fee.
This is really really not what I expected from Apple, not at all. Since the Apple genius told me that Apple doesn't recognize that this is a problem, and that Apple is NOT working on a fix for it, I am going to return my device to Best Buy this afternoon.
I'm really not happy about this because I really love this device, but it's just not usable if it keeps dropping connections.
    I'm having a sad Friday.

Good heavens, I can understand why you're having a bad day - and in essence you are absolutely right, if your iPad doesn't work with your network and other devices do, then the iPad is the problem. After all, if you go to Starbucks, a hotel, airport, hotspots provided by cities or any vendors, you can't ask them to replace their routers if you can't connect. It's not your job to resolve infrastructure problems, but it is Apple's to ensure the device is compatible with the infrastructure which exists.
    However:
This is really really not what I expected from Apple, not at all. Since the Apple genius told me that Apple doesn't recognize that this is a problem, and that Apple is NOT working on a fix for it, I am going to return my device to Best Buy this afternoon.
I would urge you not to believe this genius speaks for Apple as an authority on the subject. Even if right at this moment, the more complaints, calls and returns they have for wifi faults, the more they will react to the problem, because they have no choice. What they generally won't do (based on past experience) is announce publicly that there is a problem, but it doesn't mean they are not collecting and reviewing data and researching potential solutions.
So, before you return your iPad - and might face the debate on restocking fees - call Apple and discuss the problem, if necessary escalating the call to the next tier up until you get someone who can help you work through it, or arrange for a timely replacement, or a return without you having to face a penalty. Apple are typically very good in customer service, as the surveys show, but that isn't always the case in the early stages of a fault where the issues are not yet clear.
    Good luck!

My iPhone overheats. Battery drops from 100/90% to 10% sudenly. Got the device 20 days ago. I'm currently living in The Hague, there is no Apple Store in this city, took an appointment in Amsterdam, after 3 hours drive and 60€ travel cost got into the Apple Store, 73 minutes delay on my appointment the Genius  tech tells me I should leave my device for further checks in the store and come back in a week or two. Not presicely the answer I was looking for, plus he did not have any device to lend me until my iPhone was checked. Quite dissapointed, Apple was standard for quality on customer satisfaction, in the last 10 years I bought 3 MacBooks, 5 iPdas, 7 iPods, 5 iPhones and 2 iMACs... please don't let me down. Dear Ocean, one is a complaint about the quality of the device.
The second about the quality on response from Customer Service.
No worries, I'll delete both post since it seems that won't bring anything productive.
    Good bye Apple!

  • Got a used iphone 6 plus, when i bought a brand new from utc apple store sandiego

I bought a new iphone 6 plus from apple store utc  Sandiego. While i was playing with the same i noticed that my call time cellular settings was set to 05:00 hrs in less than a hour i bought it.
So i went to the store and asked them to run a diagnosis test and found that there was call logs even for OCT 6 on my phone, while i got the same phone from the store on OCT 7.
The manger was very rude and asked me to return the phone, if i don't like. He didn't even gave a proper explanation  for it.
What shall i do in this case. Is apple doing a big scam

I am not sure, that will help. I went to the same store myself. They don't even care for their customers
Why will it not help? Obviously you have an issue with that store, so make a complaint to Apple Customer Support. Do you wish to fix your situation or just moan here about it?

  • 3rtd generation iPod touch 'bent' - an unpleasant Apple Store experience...

    Hi,
Over the last two days I had two fundamentally different experiences in the same Apple Store in the UK.
Background: My iPod touch 32GB (purchase date Sep 22nd, 2009) slightly bent. I don't know how it happened, however, I realized it about a week ago and it does neither look good nor do I like the sound of pressing the display into the back of the device. Also, gradually the battery life deteriorated over the last couple of months.
I walked into the Apple Store yesterday in order to ask for some guidance on what to do. A nice guy explained to me (after typing my serial number into the system and checking the applicable status of my device) that I could get a replacement right away - he then advised to backup the data and come back the following day. I did as I was told, and went to the store again about one hour ago. The whole conversation (and the nice Apple employee), however, have changed entirely. Apparently the situation changed over night and the store does no longer want to replace the iPod. Very unpleasant... most of all in the light that I could have just grabbed a new iPod the day before.
Could anybody tell me what to do about it?! What hotline to call or which email form to fill? Would really appreciate an opinion of an Apple employee as well - most of all on the inconsistency in communication I experienced.
    Thanks,
    Daniel

If you're still under warranty, and your Touch doesn't function, Apple will usually replace the unit - presuming you didn't physically damage the unit (droppage, water damage, dents or cracks).
I have not personally heard of a Touch that "gradually bend(s)," but in this case, it would be in your best interest to scour support forums for similar incidents, and base your case on this. You might want to base your complaint on posts like these:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=672886
Note, however, that the Apple rep has no doubt left a customer service note documenting your complaint. If you're certain you're correct, contact your Apple Store/Genius Bar with your research.
