Hi all, I've just been to check my account on the apple store but it's comming up with Please choose your country for a vaild method of payment, You need a vaild address & billing adress for a country in wich Itunes is aviable Please select a country from the list below. If a country is not listered. It means the itunes is not yet aviable in that country. ***. It was working 6 hours ago. I'm in the UK and been using the apple store for over 4 months without any problems and just downloaded a game called payback @ 221meg for my Ipod touch, but when i goto choose a country in the list, united kingdom is not even there ??? what gives, is it a temp problem or is my account on both the pc & ipod touch f*ked cheers

You should really read the manual.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

Personally, I would not recommend deleting/removing the iWorks 09 folder for several reasons: one is that the new versions have had several functionalities removed and until you decide that you can work with the new one and do not miss any features the older version had, I would leave the old one in place. Personally, I will not be using the new versions.
The second reason is that you can accomplish what you want using a different approach: simply open a Get Info window of your document and choose which version of Pages you want this to open in - you can also stipulate that all docs like this are opened with whichever particular version.
FWIW: Once you have edited an old document in the new Pages version, you can no longer open it in the older version. However, you can still export it to the old version.

It sounds like you have a user account named Ghost, that you want to delete all content from and remove from the computer. This article will help you do that named:

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Users & Groups or click Parental Controls.
Click the lock icon to unlock it, and then type an administrator name and password.
Select the user account you want to delete, and then click Delete below the account list.
Do one of the following:
Select “Save the home folder in a disk image” to save the folder as a disk image in /Users/Deleted Users/.
Select “Don’t change the home folder” to leave the home folder in /Users/.
Select “Delete the home folder” to remove it from the computer. If you want to prevent programs that read raw data from retrieving any files, select “Erase home folder securely.”
Click OK.
Keep in mind, if you remove the user and delete the data, without Time Machine you will not be able to restore any data from it in the future.

Hi OK my iPad has the latest/greatest version of ios - Mavricks? Anyway, we bought out iMac in the spring and I installed Pages. It apparently is so out of date that the new doc I created on my iPad can not talk to my iMac. Apple Store says that Pages is installed. Under general settings there is nothing to update. Ah...what do I do to get the docs to work? I don't have time (or energy) to spend hours on this.

If you look in the Applications folder do you see Pages? If so, that should be the new version. Launch it and try to open one of your existing Pages documents.

Thanks for you reply. I'm 99% positive that I'm using the user id and password that I used to set up my computer. That's why I'm stumped. I read the solution someone else suggested (type your user name without @gmail and create a new password. When I tried it, I was asked for my birthday. It didn't recognize it. Perhaps, but maybe not, as what can they do with one with the UK plugs? I'm just saying regional things like that often have to be returned at a store in the country you bought them.
But, just go and ask as the worse they can say is no. If they do say no they cannot exchange it, then for very little money you can buy a UK-to-India plug adapter and use that charger in India anyway. Such plug adapters are only $2-$5 here in the USA on Amazon.

If you made your purchase from the online Apple Store, did you create an account? If so you can sign into your account and view the purchases that you have made in the recent past. Unfortunately, the information retained by Apple and available for your viewing only covers the last 18 months.
If you made the ourchase with a bank card, oerhaps you can loctae that information in your bank card records and with that information Apple may be able to locate the purchase for you. Call 1-800-MY-APPLE in the US when you have located the bank information for the purchase.

Sorry to hear your MacBook Pro is not charging or powering on. Sometimes a System Management Controller reset can help with the following charging and power issues:
Power
The computer doesn't respond to the power button when pressed.
A portable Mac doesn't appear to respond properly when you close or open the lid.
The computer sleeps or shuts down unexpectedly.
The battery does not appear to be charging properly.
The MagSafe power adaptor LED doesn't appear to indicate the correct activity.
To reset the System Management Controller on your MacBook Pro (with a built-in battery) , you can follow these steps:
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
