AppleCare Registration Problem

I got a new 13'' MacBook Pro for Christmas this year (2012), and my parents got me the AppleCare Protection Plan with it. When I got to register it online, it says:
We're sorry, but the registration number does not match the product or agreement type you have selected. Please check your agreement type or serial number and re-enter the information. If the information is correct, you may need to contact us.
I know I am entering all the information correctly, so I don't know what's wrong.
If anyone has had the same problem, I would love help!
Thanks so much ya'll!

  • Applecare Registrations problems

I don't know if this is supposed to go here but, I bought the 32gig version of the 3G S the day it came out and also bought the AppleCare protection plan. I went home that day and tried to register the AppleCare stuff, but when i entered the numbers and hit continue, i get this:
"We're sorry, but this registration number is not valid. Please check your information and try again."
I have no idea what to do. Any ideas? Or am i missing something?

I don't know how they are handling the 3GS applecare registrations. I bought mine separately from my iPhone 3GS and registered it online -- three days later, it still says "registration in progress" and I haven't gotten my certificate. I registered a Macbook Air AppleCare the same time and got the certificate about 4 minutes later on eMail.
I am thinking that they are so backlogged on AppleCare registrations for the iPHone that it will probably be a few days before they get caught up.
Typically, if you purchase an apple care product either at the Retail Store or online they already automatically put that onto your iPhone account or your macbook account and you don't personally have to register anything.
You can check the status of your registration by going to apple>support -- on the right column click the "register or check registration" link, and follow the links through to your agreements. You might find that your AppleCare iPHone 3GS is already listed.
I'm going to give them a week before calling to check on the registration status, thinking they will get those things processed eventually...

  • Macbook Air Applecare registration Problem

    Hi,
I've purchased a Macbook Air about a month ago, and it is FANTASTIC!
I received a +2 Year Apple Extended Warranty for Christmas but I can't register it because I always get this message:
+"We're sorry, but there are no AppleCare products available for your location. For more information, please contact us."+
    My Location is Hungary.
Would You be so kind to help me about how to register it? It is a Worldwide Warranty isn't it? So it should work in Hungary too...plus there are Premium Resellers here in Budapest who sell Applecare...so it should work in Hungary too I guess...
Your help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!
    Best Wishes,
    Mate

    Hi Allanon25,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
As recommended by RonAnnArbor, it's best to contact Applecare directly for specifics on registering. I'm unsure if the US-based technical support team will be able to facilitate registering your agreement but they should be able to get you in the right direction.
Regarding your comment on "worldwide" coverage, there's always fine print. The worldwide coverage is subject to participating countries and there terms & conditions that they have setup with Apple. To my knowledge there's only about 25-30 countries that fall into the "worldwide" scope of coverage, but I'm just that list might also be bigger (this was the last I checked). It's very possible that Apple does not have coverage available in Hungary.

  • AppleCare registration problems

I bought a new Macbook Pro and an Applecare protection plan. At the same day I registered both products and today I was informed that I don't have an Applecare. I try to register again and appear this information:
"We're sorry, but this product does not appear to be eligible for coverage. If you believe that your product should be covered, you can submit your Proof of Purchase. If your product is eligible, it will be added to your agreement later."
    What can I do?

So you got a new machine because the old one was defective and you had Applecare with it?
And you bought a new Applecare for the new machine? Since the replacement machine came from Apple, you might want to call them - you didn't really "buy" the machine - you only bought the Applecare for it, right? If I understood all that correctly, then I think you need to call Apple because the machine came from them.
I don't know if a replacement machine is eligible for Applecare or not.

  • Applecare registration difficulties

I've just bought an iPhone 4S on O2 to replace my old (2+ years) trusty 3GS.  I also purchased an iPhone AppleCare retail pack.  When I tried to register it the website informed my I need to provide further documentary proof of purchase ... (?)
I did this but three days later still nothing and it's still not registered (verified by checking my AppleCare plans online once logged in).  I rang UK Applecare support this afternoon to ask for help.  After a long-winded and tortuous palaver I been asked to provide, to an apple email address, the following:
Scaned copy of my iPhone proof of purchase (I'll cal it PoP from now on)
Scaned copy of my AppleCare PoP
    My full details
My iPhone IMEI and it's serial number
A scanned copies of the AppleCare pack and registration number as printed on the content of the retail pack.
Initially my AppleCare registration number was also rejected by the support team - they chatted online to someone who then told me via the agent that I was giving them the wrong number and was giving them the iPhone IMEI number and not the AppleCare registrtion number.  After much persuading they finally believed that the number I had given was the indeed the long number (printed in tiny font) stuck on the applecare instructions within the AppleCare retail pack/box.
Now I've been an Apple dia-hard fan and user for years, have spent thousands of £ with them and suddenly I'm being made to jump thru hoops just to register one of their products I've paid hard cash for.  I've been made to feel like I'm a liar and feel so let down by Apple who up until now have always treated me well
Apparently the registration number I have given them is being rejected as it's format is numeric and not the newer aplhamumeric codea.  Is this really my problem?  No it isnt.
    Apple get your act toghether!
If anyone can help me or shed some light on the matter I'd be very grateful.
    Richard

    Hi DH,
I finally mangeD to resolve my issue by scanning and uploading the supporting evidence using the form the apple website provide during the registration attempt.  To recap: I entered my AppleCare registration number which was rejected and I was then promptedto upload the info.
    I scanned and uploaded:
    Copy of iPhone purchase receipt
Copy of AppleCare pamphlet that had the rejected registration number on it
Copy of the purchase receipt for the AppleCare pack.
After 2 or 3 days I got an email telling me the registration had succeeded.
When I rang AppleCare prior to the above the guy I spoke to referred to a document he had for dealing with this exact issue.  So, apple are aware and indeed have a procedure in place to cope with it.
    Good luck, Richard

  • Find AppleCare Registration Number Online

    I bought a 15" MacBook Pro a year ago.
    According to Apple's website:
Time is running out. You may be able to buy an AppleCare Protection Plan to extend coverage to 3 years from your hardware product purchase date, but you must do so before 04 April 2013.
So, I just purchased the AppleCare package.
But in the email I got, the delivery date is April 5th.
Will my Mac Book Pro still be covered?

Yes.  Once you receive it you can confirm coverage.

  • Cisco 9951 and cucme registration problem

    Hi Everybody
I am trying to register a cisco 9951 phone to a cucme. The phone was previosly connected and registered to a cucm 9.1, now it must be registered in the cucme. The problem is that the status messages of the phone show that the phone has 9.3(2) firmware version and the cucme has 9.2(1) sip9951.9-2-2SR1-9.loads. It means that the phone has a higher version than the version in the router flash (cucme).
I tryed tod download a newer cucme file-set but the last version available in cisco.com is the 10.0 and it has the sip9951.9-2-2SR1-9.loads file which is still older than the version in the phone. So the phone doesnt register.
I follow step by step the instructions to configure and register ip sip phones to cucme. but I am stock.
here is the configuration:voice register global
     mode cme

  • AppleCare Registration in Progress, still?

    Hi all,
I recently purchased an AppleCare for my Macbook Pro (1st year warranty expires on the 15th Aug), and I did the registration online and i seem to recall an error at the end of the registration asking me to try registering again at a later point. I just wrote this warning off seeing as how the status of the registration was still "in progress" so I figured it was just working..
But it's nearly 5 days later and the status is still "registration in progress." I don't see how I can register again, or amend the registration seeing as how the only way to register is to type in the AppleCare registration code, however when I do it tells me that the code is already in use, and prompts me to contact Apple..
Any ideas on how I can do this without resorting to making any phonecalls?
I hate phones! (except the iPhone :P)

My turn for this. I thought it might've been because I bought it off eBay (despite the seller having 100% positive rep for hundreds of AppleCare sales) - of course, the AppleCare support person I spoke to pretty much said this and suggested that it should only be bought from an authorised retailer etc etc. Somehow I knew they would be as awkward as possible if they are not getting their overpriced direct sale.
I was told to send proof of purchase, as they seem to think the code has already been used, but surely the reason it's already been used is because I've tried to register it! The agent didn't seem to understand this concept. Anyway I've sent eBay and PayPal receipts and guess all I can do is sit and wait and hope for the best. I'll be pretty annoyed if I've lost £56 due to Apple assuming I'm a criminal who's stolen the code from somewhere.

  • How to find the AppleCare Registration Number

i need the extenstion my iphone warranty, so i can't find my AppleCare Registration Number, so please help to find the number
    thanks

    Have you already purchase AppleCare?
If you purchase your AppleCare agreement at the same time as your hardware products from the Apple Online Store, the Apple Retail Store, or select Apple resellers, your AppleCare agreement may be automatically registered. To verify that your hardware is covered under the AppleCare agreement, click here.
To find the registration number of any of the boxed AppleCare agreements in the table below:
Check inside the original retail box or envelope of the agreement. Refer to the table below for images of the boxes.
Find a card or booklet called "Getting Started" or "Web Registration Instructions." This card or booklet will show your AppleCare agreement's registration number.
    Note:
If you do not have the retail box or envelope or cannot find the card or booklet inside, contact AppleCare Agreement Support with your original receipt (or purchase order) and the serial number of the product covered by the agreement.

  • Applecare registration failed

I just bought a MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display 2.0GHz, with applecare.
I'm trying to register my applecare, but every time I try, after I enter my macbook serial number and applecare registration number, when it comes to the terms and conditions screen it says that the service is not available. I've tried re-doing it for the past 3 days and it gives me the same result every time. What do I do?

I notice it is late 2013.   Where did you buy it from.   Just wondering if it was old stock and what that could mean.

  • Problem with AppleCare Registration

    Hi,
I've purchased an AppleCare Plan for my Unibody MBP, but I have some problems during registration. It says my serial number is not valid, and when I try to see the warranty status, it says that my product serial number is not valid.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do in order to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance

that happened to me with my brand new MBP. Went to register it and it didn't like my serial #. I just called in and spoke to apple. They did it on their end and all was well after that.

  • LMS application registration problem

    Hi,
I have a problem with the application registration of Campus Manager 5.2.1 under LMS 3.2.
Right now in the "Functional" tab of the LMS portal the "Campus Manager" view is empty.
In "Common Services" - "Server" - "Home Page Admin" - "Application Registration" Campus Manager is missing in the list of registered applications.
I can connect to the Campus Manager using the direct link http://<servername>:1741/campus/adminIntro.do.
The "CM" tab on the LMS portal page works.
I tried to register it this way:
In the CS Homepage Admin I click on "Register" - "Register from Templates" - "Next"
Then I get the list of templates. I select "Campus Manager" - "Next".
    I enter these values:
Server name: fully qualified name of the server
Server Display Name: hostname of the server
    Port: 1741
    Protocol: http
When I click on "Next" - "Finish" the Campus Manager is not added to the list of registered application and I get no error message.
Did I enter wrong values? Where can I find corresponding log/debug messages?

It sounds like the CMIC database may be corrupt.  There is a process to recover this, but it's somewhat complicated.  If you open a TAC service request, your engineer can walk you through the process.  This will clear out the CMIC database and reregister all applications.  That should sort you out.
