Applescript application(Run only)/Password protected

Hi,
I'm copying files from source to destination using input XL then relink the images in InDesign Files. Saved that Apple script as Application(Run Only). When I run the application its throwing "0 doesn't understand the count message". But Code is working fine for me. Don't know why. Can anyone help me...
And also I need to protect that apple script using password as manual. Is it possible??

admin is the normal "admin rights" under SL. I would NOT change these. If you have an admin account then you have the proper rights.

Application runs only in one user account

Hello,
While trying to install a Canon LiDE 200 scanner, I am experiencing this very odd problem:
The "Setup" app on the install CD will only run in one of the two user accounts installed on my macbook (both are admins). In the other, the application opens and asks for the password as usual, after which nothing happens anymore.
Secondly, once the software is installed (using the other account), it works fine in that other account, but it keeps on crashing ("program quit unexpectedly") upon start in the other (the account in which I in fact need it).
I have tried creating another new user account, but have the same problem.
Any ideas on this?

The installer doesn't give anything in the console. It doesn't really crash either, it just keeps running in the dock but nothing happens.
Once installed, while I try to run the software I get the following in console:

Applescript - save as "run only" gone missing

Did OS X 10.7 do away with the ability to save Applescripts as run-only? I just noticed that all my scripts compiled and saved previously as "run only" now have the Rosetta prohibitory symbol on them.
Is there a work-around for saving Applescripts as run-only? I prefer to open Applescript, run the compiled script in the background, then quit.

On Mountain Lion I had the same problem. But it wasn't solved by choosing duplicate. When I chose application I only had the options, "Show start up screen" and "Stay open after run handler".
The help menu suggested that "Run only" should be there but it is not.
Anyone have any ideas?

How to password-protected an external disk on yosemite?

I search for hours but with no results...
I'm searching for a simple and free application that will password protect my external disk I'm moving from one place to another one. There are a lot of free solutions for PC but I have a hard time finding a solution for Mac.
Encryption with disk utility is not a solution for me since my 10.6.8 computer would not recognize the disk.
Moreover, I only want a simple password-protection.
I bought a WD elements and thought I could use Wd security but it looks like it only works with WD my passport (that contains this software) and that WD is preventing WD elements hard disks to be recognized by this application....
I searched the internet and it looks like there is no free solution. Or any free solution is not updated (not yosemite compatible).
Is there a free app ? Or do I have to buy a software (in that case which one would you recommend me)?

Using php include for password protection

Hi all, and as usual I am also new to RH. I am running a
password protection site using php include.
I have published my WebHelp project but was trying to change
the htm file to php and include the php include and I keep
receiving this error - "whlstt0.htm was not found on this server."
I have done a search and can not find any direction. Has
anyone an idea of how I can create a default php file the will open
all the frame files needed?

I think the question is not about passwording the diagram, but a UI choice where certain parts are only shown after entering a password. For example, there might be data for the operator and there might be extra data or controls only of interest to the engineer. The display should change depending on the privileges of the current user.

Why can't I save my password protected file in a password protected folder?

I've just encrypted my folder which contains password protected files. I've attempted to save a new password protected file (Word document) but have had to save it to my desktop because when I try to save the file to the folder I receive a message: "Word cannot save or create this file. The disk may be full [which it is not] or write-protected [which it is]". Sooooooo. Does this mean I can only password protect the folder and not the files? Which is really annoying because I really do need the two levels of security. Please can someone help?

File Vault is not in Disk Utility. It is in System Preferences/Security/FileVault.

Can't access Password Protection Manager on my External Hard Drive to unlock it

I can't access password protection manager on my External Hard Drive to unlock it , I got updated antivirus and I always use safely remove to remove the hard drive. I see the UNLOCK APP Drive, and the Public Area, but when I run the "Password Protection Manager.exe" file at UNLOCK APP Drive, the bar will just be fulfilled by approximately 60% by showing "Loading...", then it stops for many seconds, and it starts to run the Installation file (PasswordProtectionManagerSetup_F.exe) which will delete all unlocked files if I accept it to install.

Password protect some pages in an iweb site

Just wondering if it is possible to password protect certain pages in an iweb site....
I have a phtography site that i use for more professional pictures, however I wanted to upload personal pictures and only have certain people be able to access the pictures on certain pages?
does anyone know if this can be done?
for example and person who visits my site may see all my work on photo page 1 and 2, however only restricted persons can access pages 3?
if anyone has any insight, it would be much appreciated.

You can only password protect a site. So you can add another site, move the pages you want to it and password protect it. Then add a text based link to the second site.
An alternative could be to create an iPhoto Web gallery that's password protected and link to it from your site and have it open in an new window so it's easy to get back to your original site.

Password Protecting a Blog

Hi there,
I am trying to create a blog on my new website but I want to password protect it. I read that you can only password protect the entire site, not single pages. I just figured it being a blog there could be some way you could keep some people from not reading it (thus the the password protection question).

The only way to do this via iWeb is to split off your blog into a separate site of its own. Then you could password protect that site. The rest of your site stays put right where it is. You could probably just hit new site and then drag the blog down to it in the Site Organizer.
Keep in mind that if you do this, there will be no automatic links to your blog "site". You will have to make these links yourself. But there is a way of making a link in the navigation menu to a separate password protected site. Varkgirl has detailed her method here...

Hi, I am sure you have been asked this plenty of times, there are times when I loan my iphone to say a friend to make a call but I don't want him to open my email and read my messages is there a way to password protect my mail widget and if so how.

Uploading password protected site

December 18th...need some help folks. I have a pretty big site: monmouthboatclub.org which I update daily for my boat club..... I have a members only, password protected site, where I put my membership directory with telephone numbers, etc. as well as the boatclub newsletter. The sign in: mbc and the password: sailing ---- has worked for a year... suddenly I am getting "publishing error." I can publish it NON PASSWORD PROTECTED..... I have the latest edition of iWeb 3.0.1....gotta fix it. Help. I tried publishing entire site and it works without password protection, get the error with password protect. Help.

Php password protection

Hi all, and as usual I am also new to RH. I am running a
password protection site using php include.
I have published my WebHelp project but was trying to change
the htm file to php and include the php include and I keep
receiving this error - "whlstt0.htm was not found on this server."
I have done a search and can not find any direction. Has
anyone an idea of how I can create a default php file the will open
all the frame files needed?

Is it possible that you simply need a PHP file to serve as a
barrier between your WebHelp project and the outside world? If so,
just create a stand-alone page that does this and allows access.
Then forget about adding PHP to your RoboHelp pages. I think you
will find that things will work much more smoothly that way.
