Applescript open action and quarantine items
Hi,
I have a simple applescript droplet, but not all dropped files are being passed to the open handler. It appears that the problem is with files that have the com.apple.quarantine attribute set. If I drop a single file with this attribute set, the droplet runs as expected. If I drop multiple files, the ones with the com.apple.quarantine attribute are silently exclude from the list. Here is a sample the exhibits the problem:
open theDropped
display dialog "Dropped " & (theDropped's length) & " items"
end open
Say I drop five files on the droplet, and three of them have the quarantine attribute set, the droplet will pop a dialog saying "Dropped 2 items". If I drop one file WITH the quarantine attribute set it will say "Dropped 1 item". I have confirmed by looking at "theDropped" that it is the items with the quarantine attribute that are not making in on the list. If I first clear the quarantine attribute using xattr, everything works as expected.
How can I make the open handler see these "quarantined" files? I know I can preprocess the files to remove the attribute, but that just avoids the real problem.
Thanks!
'Mail' has been brutally cut off at the knees. No actual trying to send a click to any of its elements works any more.
BAD Apple!
I've tried the following without success. If only I could send a click to the first element, the required menu item would activate.
set SaveAttachmentsMenu to true
tell application "Mail"
activate
set WindowCount to count of windows
open item 1 of messages of mailbox "* items to store" # drafts mailbox
set x to 0
repeat # wait until the message is really open.
tell current application to delay 0.1
set x to x + 1
if x > 40 then exit repeat
if (count of windows) > WindowCount then exit repeat
end repeat
tell application "System Events" to tell process "Mail"
tell current application to delay 1
try
select scroll area 1 of window 1
click
end try
try
tell scroll area 1 of window 1
set {xPosition, yPosition} to position
set {xSize, ySize} to size
end tell
-- modify offsets if hot spot is not centered:
click at {xPosition + (xSize div 2), yPosition + (ySize div 2)}
display dialog xPosition & tab & yPosition as text
on error errmsg
display dialog errmsg
end try
tell current application to delay 0.2
if exists menu item "Save Attachments…" of menu 1 of menu bar item "File" of menu bar 1 then
keystroke "a" using command down
if not enabled of menu item "Save Attachments…" of menu 1 of menu bar item "File" of menu bar 1 then say "attachments disabled"
click menu item "Select All" of menu 1 of menu bar item "Edit" of menu bar 1
set x to 0
try
click menu item "Save Attachments…" of menu 1 of menu bar item "File" of menu bar 1
end try
repeat until exists sheet 1 of window 1
tell current application to delay 0.1
set x to x + 1
if x = 40 then
set SaveAttachmentsMenu to false
exit repeat
end if
end repeat
end if
end tell
end tell

AppleScript open and save file with Numbers
Hi all,
I need to save an Excel .xls file as an .xls file in order to break the links that are included in the original Excel file. Since Numbers doesn't have any actions for Automator, I hoped someone could help me writing an AppleScript?
It needs to open (Numbers) and all the .xls files that are added to a specific folder on my Mac, then save them to another folder as .xls (not .xlsx) and overwrite any existing files with same name. Since this all should work automatically, warnings and pop-ups that need a user to click an option are not allowed.
Didn't think this could be too hard, but I'm just a noob when it comes to AppleScript. Help?
Thanks in advanceCheck the attributes of the <textarea> tag. You can use wrap="no" or wrap="virtual" or wrap="hard" to define how the text area handles carriage returns.

Hi all
We are currently busy finalising our FI-CA BW Data Modeling exercise - and in process to complete Dataflow documentation.
We will make use of the standard open and cleared item extractors with enhancements on different levels. Some background on the requirements:
- We will have to extract document types, divisions, dates, clearing reasons, contract account, Business Partner etc.. information to meet the requirements.
- We will have to keep history for at least 26 months to produce the required management reports (very high number of data), and 'partition' the cubes on date level for both Cleared and Open Items.
- Most of the reports display 13 months worth of billing/ payment figures. I.e. the report for the end of October show billings vs. payments for October 2006, September, August, July, ... to October 2005.
- The requirement is that the report figures will not change from one month to the next (i.e. if I run the report for end of October - all figures from October 2006 to Oct 2005 will remain the same when I run the report for end of November). I.e. if reversals, transfers, returns etc. occur - these will be picked up in later months.
- For the above requirement, we are looking at extracting open (end of month) and cleared items (for the specific monthly interval) on a monthly basis, and appending the data in the cubes. We will then always base the June figure in the report on the June month extraction (LAUFD/ LAUFI fields) and we will pick up any movement in the next month/s - i.e. July.
Has anyone had these types of requirements before - to report on billings vs. payments, and report on history as described above. We would appreciate it if you could share your report requirements, and also design documents, especially the DataFlow documentation that we can look at as input to our design. We had a requirement to retrieve "aging of receiveables" by customer. Basically, it goes thru each record and depending on the due date places the amounts in the following buckets (example). 0-30 day Overdue, 31-60 days Overdue, 61-90 days overdue, 30+ days overdue, 60+ days overdue) etc all the way to 6+ years overdue.
There are also cooresponding buckets for coming due analysis. For example, what is: 0-30 days coming due, 31-60 days coming due, 30+ days coming due, etc...
To do this, first I needed to be able be able to produce an open items statement at any given time in the past. Now, this seems impossible because of how the items go from open to cleared all the time. And an item that was open one month ago, may not be open anymore.
What I did was first remove any selections on item status. Then compare the posting date with teh key date in the past, if the posting date is less than or equal to the key date, keep the record.
Then compare the clearing date with the key date. First, keep all that are #. (This keeps all records still open from that posting date/key date)
Then, add another check for all items that were cleared after the key date (GT Key Date). This gives you the open items on that date.
Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you want clarification.

Doubt about report FBL5N of screen field:Open items and Cleared items
hi
i know the report FBL5N is use DDF LDB and the report work flow is BSID->BKFP->BSEG
but i don't know to differentiate Open Items and Cleared items in this report.
Open items and Cleared items stand for a field flag in these table (BSID,BKFP,BSEG )? if true the field is?
or they must be calc in program ? if true what about calc rules?
waiting for help! thank you!Hi,
Here is the difference in Open Items and Cleared Items.
In FI first the document is Open (when it is posted) so the entry is made in table BSID. Once the document is cleared, it will move from BSID to BSAD. And for Cleared item you will see Clearing Document no and Clearing date values updated (these are blank when the item is open).
The only difference in Open and Cleared is via Clearing Document and Clearing Date. If the values are present, it means document is cleared.
Hope this helps.

Interest calculation on Open items and cleared items
Dear Experts
I am trying to do needful configuration for interest indicator on which interest can be calculated for open items and cleared items as well. But, system is calculating interest for open items properly, but not calculating interest on cleared items with same interest indicator, I am repeatedly getting error "interest calculation indicator is not compatible with this type of interest calculation"
Is it possible to use same interest indicator for open line items and cleared line items of customer?
If possible, request you share the needful config steps to do same.
points will be awarded for usful reply.
Best regards,
S. Habib Pasha.Hello Habib,
depending on the requests you can setup a item interest calculation or a balance interest calculation "Define calculation types".
IIC: check settings (item selection, all cleared items, only items with payment, no cleared items) "Prepare item interest calculation"
I guess you have setup the item interest calculation - maybe you have mixed some entries with BAIC.
Check in "Prepare account balance interest calculation" whether you have entries with the indicator you want to use.
At least check your entries in "Define time-based Terms" If you have entries with Balance account interest calculation the system gives even an error.
Hope this is helpfull.
Best regards

Time capsule has been working perfectly for months.
Suddenly I can't connect to the drive on my airport time capsule and am receiving the message: “AirPort Time Capsule” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.
Time machine appears to be still backing up (last backup within the last hour), but drive is not visible and I have files stored on it.
I have tried rebooting everything in order as suggested for other issues, anyone got any ideas how to see the drive again??What OS are you running??
It is very typical Yosemite issue.
1. In airport utility does the TC show up.. if so click it.. and see the summary page which will include its IP address. That is what you are after.
From my screenshot you can see the TC address is 192.168.2.57
It might well show up briefly after a reboot or in ipad / iphone version utility. Yosemite is hopeless. The airport utility hardly works.
2. In Finder use Go, Connect to server.
Type in SMB://192.168.2.57 (replace with IP you discover).
If it is possible it will request a password.. type that in and DO NOT FORGET.. to store it in your keychain.
This will work until the TC changes IP which won't happen if it is main router.. but will happen if it is bridged.. so you need to tell me the whole network setup.
Mavericks is nearly as bad and the above instructions should be universal except I would use AFP instead of SMB. Apparently Yosemite is now totally Windows oriented. -

Hello All,
I need to get Open and Close items for customer based on company code....i mean to say user don't want to give customer number he want to get Open and Close item for all customer under that company code.
It would be great if some one suggest me any function module and BAPI name....Hi,
I/m not sure whether there is any FM for the requirement.Instead can have a look into this BAPI_AR_ACC_GETOPENITEMS Customer account open items at a key date or CUSTOMER_OPEN_ITEMS FM
In a report prpgram.. Hit the KNB1 table for a specify company code fetch all the customer and using these customers fetch the open and closed items.

How to clear the open items and parked items for customer
Hi Experts,
I need to clear the open items and parked items for customer.
So any one could let me know the transaction code and procedure for clearing the items for customer.
Best regards,
Kesava balaji.Hello,
Parked items will have NO RELEVANCE, unless you post it.
You CANNOT clear parked items.
You can clear the posted items using F.13 or F-32

Open Quotations and Open Items
Hello Experts,
Can you tell me what are open quotations and open items? And in what scenario they are used?
ArathiOpen quotations are those on which no orders or reference documents have been created so far.
Open quotations can be seen in VA15 tcode
Open quotations is a term which is applicable for the whoel document.
On the otherhand, there will be some documents where reference documents are created for some items, while for other items no reference documents are created
For example lets say a quotation has ItemA and Item B, both having 5quantities,
On this an order is created for ItemA only for 5quantities.
Now the quotation is in Partly completed status
Item A willbe in Complete status
Item B will be in Open status.
Hope thsi helps you to undersatnd things.
Reward if this helps. -
I have an external hard drive that I have been using for years. All of a sudden my mac will not recognize the external as a "save as" device location. But the external does show up on my desktop and I can open it to drag and drop items. What happened and how do I get my mac to rerecognize the device?!?!?
Hi,
Check Finder>Preferences>Sidebar, is it checked there to show external drives? -
Extraction of the open items(TC FPBW) and clear items in FI-CA(TC FPCIBW)
Dear experts,
I have a question regarding as the transaction FPBW and FPCIBW .
What i know is that these transactions tranfer the open item and clear item information from the table DFKKKO to table DFKKOPBW and DFKKCIBW.
But I would like to know whether there are some filters when these transaction SAP transfer the table from DFKKKO.
As we are adding a new document type (DFKKKO -> BLART) in the FI-CA system, I wonder whether they would be also transferted by the transaction.
Thanks in advance.Hi,
How you resolved this issue?
If you are having the solution for this please share with me as well.
and one more thing, how can we schedule these two jobs in background for daily loading the data into DFKKCIBW and DFKKOPBW.
Please share these two things with me.
Thanks in advance.
