AppleTV not appearing/syncing in Itunes since the UK film roll out...
I know there are post on this already, but I've never had any problems at all with my AppleTV being recognized or syncing with Itunes since before now... I'd got a bit giddy with excitement over the roll out of the films on iTunes, so I decide to download a rented one from iTunes (no menu option to do this on the AppleTV at this point. The download went pretty smoothly taking an hour or so, and I was able to move it over to the AppleTv.
Interestingly enough the new Movie menu options had now appeared after being received. I had made sure that the AppleTV was up to date before this I may add and didn't have any further upgrades, so how did it get the new menu options?? So after that I noticed I was able to browse and buy films directly from the AppleTV ( but I have not tried this yet) Anyway...
I watched the rented film, and it was fine, all went smoothly, told me I had one more day to before I'd lose it... Shortly after watching it the iTunes I sync with on my MAC lost connection. Not a sign of it. Factory reset the AppleTV, re-installed iTunes. Nothing... Then I tried connecting from the AppleTV by syncing a new computer with the 'four digit code' And hey presto invoking that procedure brought up the AppleTV back in my devices on iTunes.
So.... Now all have to do is sync everything over again, fine, take a few hours I know. After three hours and more the sync freezes, so I cancel it. And guess what folks! No AppleTV in my devices as before.
Now as I say at the beginning of this post, I've never had a problem with syncing with AppleTV, I believe the introduction the films to iTunes has introduce a software bug, or maybe made an existing one worse!
Yeah ,this only worked temporarily. I don't know what's going on with my router and my AppleTV but it's proving impossible to reliably sync to the AppleTV when both the AppleTV and my iBook (the syncing computer) are connected to my router wirelessly. Sometimes, fiddling with the router fixes it, sometimes rebooting the AppleTV fixes it, but invariably, the time comes when I can ping and see the AppleTV from my desktop (connected to the router via ethernet) and not from the iBook (connected wirelessly)

I have the new version of Itunes and have upgraded from 1st gen. Ipod to 4th gen. When I sync recently bought albums to my iPhone I get duplicated tracks. How can I resolve this. The duplicated tracks do not appear in my itunes library, just on my iPhone.
It seems to happen with songs that were purchased before synchronizing the new iPhone
I will tell you how I fixed it.
Note: I have iTunes in spanish so I will try to translate and figure out the commands that appear on ITunes in english. I will put my translations into brackets. English is not my native language. I will do my best.
The workaround is:
1.- Dragg no working songs from iTunes to a folder on the hard disk. (Only for backup purposes)
2.- Deleted those songs from iTunes library.
3.- On the left panel in ITunes click on "Purchased" under the STORE option. All your purchased songs will appear on the right panel
4.- At the bottom and right there is the option : "Download Previous Purchases". Click there.
5.- Click on the option "Are not in my Library" (top right)
6.- The songs you deleted from iTunes will appear.
7.- Downloaded them again. (You have the option to download at the bottom right)
8.- Syncronize your iPhone and that's all. -
I install an old version of itune since the new version does not sync with my iPhone but the old version I installed did not play rather it says that it can't read a file 'itune library .itl' written by Newer version of itune how do I installed this old version to work
You need to restore the pre-upgrade backup of the library file in the manner shown in Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

How do I move a movie I have synced from iTunes into the "Movies" tab of the Video App? I need to access a slideshow I made in IMovies and may not have WiFi. I did it once, but can't figure out how to do it again! The file is an m4v. Thank you!
Im just guessing but it seems like you would have to get your movie into the correct folder on a computer then use iTunes to sync it to your iPad. If you've synced to a computer and have movies then on your computer should be a folder with the movie in it. You could export your iMovie to something like Dropbox then download from Dropbox to the folder you think it needs to be in the sync your iPad again. Again this is just a guess. Others may have a better answer.

I am using Iphone 3gs. Last week I updated my itunes to latest version, although I couldnt not update my iphone OS since the download fails saying error 9006. For last 2 days all my Iphone applications fail to open except the default ones. Any solutions?

if my phone says it needs to be restored will it delete all of the stuff i have on it? Such as music i have on an app? The music has not been synced to itunes. Will all my pictures get deleted aswell? My phone is not working for some reason, when i was downloading ios6.1 it crashed or something. PLEASE HELP!!

Any photos in your camera roll, not previously imported to your computer, you will lose. You should be regularly importing these photos, as the iPhone's camera roll is not designed as a storage device.
Had you been regularly syncing/backing up, you wouldn't lose anything. Now you know, don't backup your data, and you will eventually lose it all, guaranteed. -

IanOne correction, from the icloud I was not able to listed to the entire song. So when you purchased the song if it wasn't downloaded to your library, chances are you have lost your opportunity to listen to it.

This is the problem. My father just got an iPhone 5. He has a Macbook Pro 2009 with OS X 10.5.8. The iPhone is not compatible with this version since the iTunes is an older version as well. At our local Apple store in my home country, they told him he needs to upgrade (which I agree of) but that the memory of this computer is not enough to hold the newer OS.
Please help, he does not really agree with buying a new computer just because of the versions.

My iPhone4 (iOS 6) does not sync with iTunes. The message displayed suggests to return the iPhone to factory settings (which I cannot do). This happened after the iPhone was upgraded to iOS6 and performed one sync. Any ideas?

i cannot transfer movies on my iphone 4s eventhought its mp4 format. it say 1 item could not be sync see itunes for more information. Tried to look for the reset warning on itunes 11.0 but cannot locate it. Help please

how do i manage syncing to allow to merge or sync to iTunes or sync to iPad? i have a lot of music in my iPad which when i iwant to sync with iTunes in the desktop that will be erased as it is not available in my iTunes music file?
is there any important stuff saved to your emails? if so you could log on to your emails from a seperate device and back them up. im not sure what else you could do :/
