Applicable Updates and Importing Spice Models

Two part question:
Just installed version 10.0.144 (as seen in help-about Multisim) from CD and since my company uses a proxy server, I will need to manually check for updates. How do I know which updates are available for this version ?
Next, and more importantly, I need to import externally developed Spice models, assign them a shape and be able to use them in a simulation. While you do have a method for importing a spice netlist, I do not see anything that applies to subckt models (files that contain a .subckt definition.

It is possible to configure the Multisim 10 updater to use a proxy server.
Launch the Support and Update Utility (SUU)
SUU will check for updates, but will fail if you haven't configured SUU to use the proxy server
On the main SUU window, click Settings
On the second tab labeled Internet Connection Settings, enter the settings for you proxy server
Click OK and restart SUU
The latest update of Multisim 10.0 will update your version to 10.0.343.
As for your second question, it is relatively easy to create symbols and components that use SPICE models. What you need to do is outlined in this tutorial: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3173.

If you have been syncing with itunes on a computer, then should not be a problem. If you've never dones so, then you should. If you don't have a computer, then at least set up icloud on your device and perform a backup in icloud.

From indesign I am creating an assignment file as well as incopy files.(.inca and .incx file created through exporing). Now indesign hardcodes the path of the incx files in inca file.So if I put the incx files in different folder then after opening the inca file in InCopy , I am getting the alert stating that " The document doesn't consists of any incopy story" and all the linked story will flag a red question mark icon. So I tried to recreate and update the links. What is the best way to export and import updates between WSUS servers for specific KB's with environments that have different data sets?

We are under strict regulations and monitoring at my company. Because of this, we have to define what updates are being installed during a patch cycle by KB Article. Two production networks and one test network. The installed updates have to be the exact
same in the test environment, run for a few days with no problems, and then we install them in our production networks. The issue is, not all of the software in the environments is identical.
I need to figure out a way to take failed/needed updates from production that are unapproved, export that list so I can approve all of those updates in the test env.. Then once I approve those and any other needed updates in test, I need to be able to export
all approved updates from the test env (which includes the needed ones from production) and import those approvals in production.
How can this be done?

Data Modeler 3.0 EA1: Importing domains and 2.0 model doesn't work

If I import (or open) a relational model from Modeler 2.0 which refers to domains, Modeler 3.0EA will not recognize the domains. I end up with a model full of "UNKNOWN" column types. I tried importing the domains first then importing the model, opening (or importing) the model and then the domains, and even importing the domains into the default domains set before opening the model. Nothing works; the column types will always be marked as UNKNOWN.
Is it me or a "known bug"?

Hi Bert,
Version 3.0 doesn't know anything about your domains - just copy defaultdomains.xml file from 2.0 installation (it's in datamodeler\domains directory) into 3.0 directory datamodeler\datamodeler\types.

Questions on Subviews and Import/Export in Data Modeler v3 EA1.

I have a few questions about the capabilities of Data Modeler v3 EA1:
1) Is it possible to rename subviews? Would like more meaningful names then Relational_x - Subview_x.
2) Is it possible to save documents at subview level?
3) Is it possible to import/export subsets of data?
4) Having problems importing Erwin 7 .xml file, is there known problems with this import?

Hi Judy,
1) To rename a subview just right click on it in the browser tree and select "Properties". In the properties dialog change the name and click OK button.
2) You can save a subview as new Data Modeler design - from the File menu select Export -> To Data Modeling Design. In the newly opened dialog select the subview you want to export and click OK button.
3) After saving a subview as new design (see answer #2) it can be imported in some other design (File -> Import -> Data Modeler Design).
4) What kind of problems do you have with import of Erwin 7.* xml file?

Looks like someone changed setting in iOS8.
Change this setting.
Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Grayscale or Invert Colors

Update and Overwrite Option in Import Master Data Package

Hello,
In the package Import Master Data there is the option "Select method for loading master data". I don't understand very well what is the difference between the "Update" and "Overwrite" option. I have tested both and I get the same result.
Can someone explain to me what is the difference between both options ?

Option overwrite: all properties are overwritten. If they are not maintained in the source file, they will be deleted in the member sheet
Option update: only the properties maintained in the source file are overwritten. The other ones are not changed.

As RAW images import into LR I watch as they post but then they seem to update and darken. Help!

I'm shooting in RAW on a Sony a900 and the images look fine on the back of the camera. When I import the raw images to LR, as I watch them come in they look fine, but once all of them get into the library I watch as something seems to update and darken all of them. I have the imports set as default settings. It's taking a lot more time for post-processing and driving me crazy. Anyone got some insight on a setting to change to fix it?

Updated to iMovie version 10.0 Opened it. All my clips and projects were there. Then it crashed. Now no clips no projects. If I try and import them they are dimmed. If I try and 'update projects and events' a dialogue box says no files found.

The reply from Nerval fixed it. It is very simple and it works.
If you have a lot of Projects and Events, leave the iMovie running for a long time. I had 160G and it took 4hrs. It is doing it in the background so don't shutdown too quick.

Different service packs SAP MDM 7.1 supprot the same Syndication and Import map format.
For Import map is updating you can use Import manager
For syndication map is updating - Syndicator
If your syndication and import map have been saved into repository just archive repository from your source landscape and unarchive it in destination.
If your syndication and import map haven't been saved in repository.
Exporting your maps to xml(syndication maps from syndicator and import maps from Import Manager) before migration and importing it to new repository.
According updating(modification) repository structure:
For Import map is updating you can use Import manager
For syndication map is updating - Syndicator
Another way(very exotic) - make changes in exported xml maps.

Model Export and Import - Error 40144

I'm trying to transport a model from one system to another and I get the following error when I try the Model export and import functionality in IBP 4.0
"errorCode":"40144","errorMsg":"Repository: delivery unit not found; deliveryUnit: 'SOP_MODEL_EXPORT_DU', vendor:sap.com'"
Steps:
1. Model Export -> Create Export
2. Once the Export is created, I clicked 'Download Deployment Unit' and that's when I get the above error.
Am I doing anything wrong? If so, what is the procedure to execute the model export and import between systems?

It turns out a transportation path has to be set up (one time) from the backend (by SAP) to enable this feature.

Where were you storing your contacts? In the cloud? In outlook? Synch them back from wherever they were being stored.
