Application on satellite transmission?
Recently, our client wants to use VSAT system to transmit data and voice between Taiwan and Mainland China. However, we are not sure if your company's software will have problems when it is applied in satellite transmission. Let me explain my question. During satellite transmission process, it will delay 0.5 sec. When your PC uses the ping program to ping a remote server, your PC will list the response time and hang it up when there is no response after 1.28 sec. My client uses your company's E-Business Suite R11-I software. When their Mainland China's staffs use the software to send a request to the AP server in Taiwan by the satellite transmission, how long will the Mainland China site's PCs will hang up the connection if there is no response from AP server? Are there anyone can reply me and give me the reference information? Thank you very much.

which type of camera is it? Internal camera or external over USB? You can try to remove the software of the camera and just install the drivers, without additional software.
Maybe some application is occupying the camera...

Newbie RF satellite cables measurement

I want to know what tools I need to test rf cables for satellite transmission application. We are experienced manufacturers of data cables and now our clients are requesting us for coaxials cables for satellite transmision, from IF band (70 Mhz) to Ku band (12 to 14 Ghz). I need want to know what I need to ensure that our cables are well made and that they have the needed quality. I'm newbie in RF cables and I don't know what parameters I need to test to ensure that the cable will work and what equipment I need for do that.

A vector network analyzer could be used to acquire full magnitude and phase response of the cable in the specified frequency bands, with limits for magnitude and phase variation depending on the tolerances of the application.
An RF signal generator and spectrum analyzer could be used to acquire just a magnitude response if phase variation is either not important or minimal in the cables themselves. Transmitting data that has been modulated with a phase modulation scheme like PSK or QAM (which modulates phase and magnitude) could make the cables' phase responses more important, thus implying a greater need for testing its phase response.
In summary, the amount and type of testing done on the cables is a technical and business decision. The business decision lies in minimizing test time and capital expenditure on test equipment without sacrificing technical requirements.

Satellite A105-S4211 can be launched at safe mode only

I am a newer, and need help!
I have Toshiba Satellite A105-S4211 laptop. My kid used it for a year, and told me the Window XP operating system could not be normally launched up. I tested it. This laptop only can be started at safe mode. I used following method try to fix it. but it still works at safe mode only:
1. Replaced memory.
2. Replaced hard drive.
3. format hard drive, and reinstall Toshiba recovery disk--> could not install completed, fail at latest step.
4. format hard drive, and install Window XP professional SP2 --> fail at latest step also.
5. lauched at safe mode, and use command chkdsk to check disk. finsihed checked disk and ask me to use command "chkdsk /f" at next start up because some file is used. I reply "Yes", and restart laptop, it still going to safe mode.
6. One of my friend told me this maybe the video card of this laptop is out of work because it only works at low resolution. I have no idea.
7. I read some error messages at the process of launch. such as error at address 0x00000005. but I don't know how to fix it.
Some one told I should replace a new mother board. I bought this laptop at the fall of 2006, but my kid used only one year. it has not been used because this trouble. Is it the reasonable idea to buy new motherboard?

I tested this lapton again as following:
1. Boot from orininal recovery disc, erase and partition hard drive
2. continue to boot from recovery disc, select option of recovery of factory default software
3 finish the process to create CRC, and screen show the recovery completed
4. Screen shows " Apply final configuration (Don't interrupt)
5, Window Xp show to shut down, and restart laptop, the normal desktop screen is shown
6. pop up window indicates "load personal setting"
laptop repeatly step 4 to 6 two to three times, then I had couple different results:
a. laptop still power on, screen does not show any image, black, but it is different to the "black" without power.
b. a small window indicates: This system is not fully install, please run setup again"
If I manually shut down this laptop, and make cold power up:
a. stay at Window XP initial image, can not go to next
b. laptop show blue screen for one second (looks to make disk check), go to option to select safe mode or normal mode
c. go to Window guiding setup, I finished the Windows XP set up step by step, laptop freeze
The trouble begins at the step of "Apply final configuration".
Do I need to order the disc of Recovery and Application/Drivers, Satellite A100/A105 Series"?

Satellite A215-S4757
Machine trashed due to virus and want to reset to original configuration. Using disk 1 of 2 labeled RECOVERY AND APPLICATIONS/DRIVERS SATELLITE A210/215 SERIES WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM 32 BIT. When the CD boots an error is displayed. The error reads:
"This Recovery and Applications CD is not configured to work with this machine (*).
This CD is for: Satellite A215, Satellite A210
Please use the correct Recovery and Applications CD."
Can you tell me why this is not recognizing the machine correctly? Thanks for the help.

The copy error occurs when you try to copy the files to the main OS that has allocated the VM ?
Because another option is to get those files toward the VM across and ftp server. You could use
an ftp server installed in the main machine or in the network where you are connected o inclusive from
your mail if you have connection to internet.

Windows 7 and Networks with High Latency
We are currently trying to rollout Windows 7 on our network to replace XP but have encountered an issue whereby we have remote clients that access the network over high-latency satallite links (BGAN and Vocality/Satellite). The latency of the links (based
on ping results) can be 600ms for Vocality and 1-3s for BGANs.
The particular services that don't work are a full motion video solution using TVI Viewer 7.9.1 and Outlook 2003 or 2007. These work fine on Windows XP. Shares can be accessed but are significantly slower than XP and ping does respond fine.
Windows 7 is running on Panasonic Toughbook CF52 and CF74 and I've tested in with a vanilla install with no updates and not on the Domain (2008R2 native) to eliminate GPO interference and tried it with all MS updates as of about 2 months ago.
I've tried removing the extra services on the network card (Topology Discovery, ipv6 and QoS), updated to the latest NIC drivers from Panasonic and drivers from Intel themselves. Reduced the MTU to as low as 500 and increased the Frame size (I forget what
to but was following a guide for slow links).
I've successfully replicated the issue on out development system using a satallite simulator.
Windows 7 with Outlook and TVI work fine on our network when connected via the LAN, ADSL, 3G and WiFi.
I'm currently analysing Wireshark captures but they don't seem any different to the XP ones.

The fact is that this kind of connection in Windows 7 use TCP protocol. Transmission Control Protocol ( TCP ) under ideal conditions can provide reliable data delivery, but it is inherent in the existence of a throughput bottleneck, with the emergence on
the long-distance WAN packet loss and latency increases, the bottleneck is becoming more prominent and serious. In satellite networks with high loss, effective throughput may be as low as 0.1% - 10% of available bandwidth.
However, FASP can be the solution.

RahulThough I'm not aware of a standard report for this, you can query table NAST with SE16 or SE16N. In your case, use selection criteria:
Application = EF (purchasing)
Transmission medium = 2 (fax)
Processing status = 1 (successful)
You may need to pick a message type (typically NEU), depending on what sort of documents you send to the vendor.
For regular use by client personnel, you can make a permanent query using transaction SQVI, which you can assign to a report name.

has anyone found a fix for this issue? i'm currently experiencing the same issue and would like to know how i can fix this..
Spool requests are being sent the the B9 printer queue. Most spool requests are for one page, when there are spool requests for multiple pages these spool requests take longer to create, in the meantime, other spool requests that are single pages are going to the printer queue. This creates and "out-of-vendor-order" issue during printing.
The out of vendor order sequencing creates a significant level of work effort for the business users to resort the printed copies in order to prepare the documents for mailing. A change is required to eliminate this manual effort.
Development has indicated an enhancement could be made to the RSNAST00 program where only those print jobs for application "MR" with transmission "1" (for print) would be gathered in groups of "X" number of documents to create one spool, prior to creating the spool, a check would be made to see if the next document was for the same vendor, if so the next document/s would be included in the same spool, when a new vendor was found, a new spool would be created.
To temporarily fix the issue the jobs have been placed on "no execute" and the support team is identifing the chargebacks and RTV created during the week, manually running the RSNAST00 program in groups of 500 - 800 documents, ensuring all doucments for a vendor a sent in the same spool request.Post Author: Stephen@Azzu

I have no problems whatsoever in printing the reports, everything is fine. However, when the report is sent to the printer, the printer queue displays 'document' as the, err, document name. I'd like it to say something more relevant, such as the document number the user selected.So I've tried setting the ReportDocument.Name but wait, it's read only!? How about the summary info? No change. Filename? No change either. I've browsed the internet, searched the knowledge base and found nothing. Have a friends model A205-7458 that he was downloading a file onto a USB HD when apparntly the printer cable got hooked on the USB drive and yanked it out. System now will not load and hits a corrupt file message in \windows\system32\drivers\fileinfo.sys Status: 0xc00000c9 Info: Windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt.
None of the options booting under F8 will respond.
He found the "Recovery and Applications/Driver Satellite A200/A205 Series" CD's/DVD's but when I load and boot to the 1st CD\DVD (I do hear it access the CD/DVD) it runs a bar across bottom and says it's loading Windows files and then goes to a black screen with Micrsoft Corporation at the bottom with a small bar with yellow squares running across it. It hangs there for a wile and then goes to either an all black screen with the mouse arrow, which I can control, or to just an all black screen.
Would like to repair this system if possible and only do a recovery as a last resort but am not getting any options from this CD\DVD. Do see instructions that say to hold own C on boot but they say this wll do a recovery not a repair.
Only thing I can think of is that the CD\DVD drive isn't working correctly since the corrupt file is a main driver file.
Also tried going into the BIOS to load defaults but that didn't do anything. Tried diabling USB Legacy Support since it was a USB drive that started all this but that didn't do anything either.
Before I give in and do a recovery I thought I'd ask and see if anyone here might have any ideas. Would replacing the fileinfo.sys file work? If so how would I get a clean one? How do I get to a DOS prompt? Am I understanding the instructions wrong and holding down C on boot would bring me to the options screen?

Thanks :-)When I select repair my computer off the F8 boot it goes to "Windows is loading files" on the bootom of the screen with a progess bar which stops after about 2 inches in then after a while it goes to the original corrupt file error about unplugging a removable storage device while device in use. (see 1st post)
I don't have a stand alone Vista installation disc to try. Only Vista recovery discs from other manufacturers.
Did try dong a full reinstall, holding down the C during boot. Instructions do not say whether system should be set to boot to HD or CD\DVD for this so tried both. Did get a screen that said something about Windows setup in the same black & white I've been getting. When clicked on that it went to the same "Windows is loading files" and progress bar. After files loaded it went to an all black screen then eventully it gave me a mouse arrow. That was it. Never did anything else.
Whatever I try I get either a hung progress bar then the initial corrupt file error - or a completed progress bar and then a black screen with a mouse arrow.
Either something else is wrong with the hardware on this system - like more happened than what the friend is telling me - or something is wrong with the recovery discs. The discs were unopened with the plastic wrap and seals intact.
At this point I think I'm going to give it back to him and tell him it's beyond the tools I have at my disposal to fix. He can either pay to get it fixed from Toshiba or some other place where they have the tools needed or buy a new one.
But if anyone can think of anything else to try I'm up for it.

I have problem starting OPS Center services. Ops Center is not coming online as scn/repordb is in the maintenance state. svcadm clear scn/reportdb too doesnt work.
Did stop / start of agentadm, proxyadm and satadm server times, but no use. OCDoctor.sh is not reporting any specific error.

Internet Explorer 8 will not open
I have been using Internet Explorer a long time with Windows XP SP3. Just recently I needed to do a download for another application and after that download finished I was unable to use Internet Explorer, I downloaded IE8 to try and fix the problem. It
didn't. Internet Explorer is the default browser but it will not open in any menus. I can't even open Help and support either, a lot of applications worn't open now for some reason. Any sugestions??Hi,
Based on the current situation, I would like to suggest you use the following methods to check the issue:
1. Check Your Antivirus & Firewall. Most of the time, the problem is with your antivirus or antispyware. In fact, incorrect settings in your antivirus and antispyware create problems not only with Internet Explorer but any browser or application requiring
data transmission over a network. To check if they are the cause, turn them off.
2. Check Your Add-Ons. Add-ons or plug-ins are either added manually or are added with the installation of any application such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. If Internet Explorer begins working properly, one or more of the add-ons are corrupt, and you should
follow the method mentioned in the next paragraph to fix the issue.
3. Check for Conflicts among Processes. There is high possibility that one of the processes on your machine is conflicting with the functioning of Internet Explorer. To check this, you will have to test your Internet Explorer in a clean boot environment.
4. Return To Defaults. Resetting Internet Explorer restores the browser to the state when it was first installed.

KapilUse MRM1 transaction and maintain the condition records for the message type INVC. There can be no-retroactive message assignment here, so even after the this set-up the invoice you referred cannot be still processed with MR90. Maintenance condition records ensures that future invoices are automatically assigned with the message type INVC and hence can be processed in MR90

Post-installation configuration interface not running
I've just installed Ops Center 12.1 on a new SPARC T4-1b running Solaris 11.
We are using a remote database hosted inside an Oracle Database Appliance. The installation went through entirely, and I'm at the point where I need to configure the application.
The problem is that the web GUI that is supposed to be running on port 9443 isn't running. (doesn't appear in netstat -an).
The instances bound to port 80 (the redirect) and port 443 exist -- but the rewrite sends me to the non-existent service running on port 9443, so I am stuck.
