I recently purchased my Macbook Pro and want to stream my XM radio service through my computer. When I log in and hit play on XM I receive the following error message.
This page has content that requires an Internet plug-in.
This page contains content of “application/x-ms-wmp” type. You do not have the plug-in required to view this content.
Any suggestions?

Thanks Kurt! I had tried all that and had tried closing both programmes from the application monitor, but SyncServices Agent refused to close. I tried closing Launchd which is their mother application, but that just caused the screen go go blank. In the end the two programmes let themselves be closed next time I tried the installation process so all was well. Thanks for your help!

First, tell Apple about your problems... with details... and hope for an update that fixes your slowness
Second, Yosemite sometimes has problems, often related to "default" permissions needing to be changed

"Application wants to install Helper". Is this genuine?

A box keeps appearing saying Application wants to install Helper and asking for my password to access the hard drive. It just doesn't feel right to me and I wonder if it is genuine. Would be grateful for any advice.

Like an idiot, I actually entered my password, Safari crashed, and now it won't open. Sad thing is, I knew it wasn't genuine but was in the middle of a deadline and just was trying to make the window go away. Now every time I relaunch Safari is closes unexpectedly and won't reopen.
