Apply strictfp globally
Hi all,
Is there a way of applying the strictfp flag globally with the following JVM:
java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode)
I looking for the equivalent of what is done with JRockit:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15289_01/doc.40/e15062/optionxx.htm#BABHBDAH
If it is not possible, does anybody knows about a simple workaround ?
Thank you in advance !

I have a question that I hope someone can clarify ... I will be supporting a new ASA 5585X running 8.4 and I was wondering if it's possible to apply an ACL globally instead of it as an access group that is applied to a specific interface as in or out ... below are the interfaces and ACL ..

access-group outside-acl-01 in interface internet-outsideHi,
Beginning from 8.3(1) you should be able to use a single access-list to control traffic/connection.
It still uses the "access-group" command to "attach" the access-list as a global access-list
command format is:
access-group global
Just out of interest, are you moving to ASA from some other product or why would you want to use one global access-list? Personally I could never think of changing to global access-lists. I guess thats probably due to the fact that I have used the access-lists attached to certain interface and direction for so long.

1. login as applmgr user
2. source env file
3. close apps services
4. run adadmin (type adadmin and enter on applmgr user)
5. Change Maintenance Mode than 1. Enable Maintenance Mode
5. cd patchfolder
6. ls
7. you will see there xxx.drv file
8. run adpatch and give xxx.drv file while adpatch ask you driver file
9. You dont need to use admsi.pl you can use adpatch option
Ps: If you dont have idea how you can apply patch please check:

Q: changing Global Currency 1 in OBIA 11.1.1.7.1
We started configuring BI Apps 11.1.1.7.1 and are not able to change the Global Currency 1 (and 2-5) from USD to EUR (or anything else). Same applies for Global Currency Exchange Rate Type 1-n.
In the Edit Parameter Value dialog, no values are displayed, and no edit is possible, although the icon does not indicate that this is a read-only parameter.
Any idea's what we are missing.
Thanks,
LucWe finally got this to work, by adding an Externally Conformed Domains:
In the Functional Setup Data Configuration and Load Plan Administration
select Manage Externally Conformed Domains
Configure Domain for E-Business Suite:
Currency
Conformed Currency Rate Type
After this we could select EUR as global currency 1.
There may be other possibilities, let me know if you managed to use alternative solutions.
Best regards,

Hi,
As far as i know, These are the steps to follow the HR Global Patches..
My version is 11.5.10.2...I think HRMS Family Pack will be 11i.HR_PF.H...
I want to apply HRMS Legsliation patches for Australia (AU)...
These are the steps which i want to follow
(a) For AU, if I want to apply the Latest HR Global Patches, I need to have my HR PF should be in 11i.HR_PF.K and RUP1....So I will apply the these patches
(b) Next Apply the GLOBAL Patches 6196112, 6339534,6348219
(c) Next download AU Legsliative patch 6071863
(c) Next run the DATA Install
(d) Next Apply HRGLOBAL.drv
Is the above steps correct..please suggest(a) For AU, if I want to apply the Latest HR Global
Patches, I need to have my HR PF should be in
11i.HR_PF.K and RUP1....So I will apply the these patchesFYI, 11i.HR_PF.K.DELTA.2 is available (Patchset 5337777)
(b) Next Apply the GLOBAL Patches 6196112, 6339534,6348219 In case you decided to go with (Patchset 5337777 - 11i.HR_PF.K.DELTA.2), then you would need to apply Patch: 6242856 - HRGLOBAL: SCHEMA AND DRIVER GLOBAL FILES FOR 11I.FP.K.RUP2
Other than that, your steps look fine. -
Global correlation / reputation filtering in monitoring mode
We use Cisco appliances primarily in monitoring mode. We'd like to use the IPS reputation filtering / global correlation to alert us when we have connections to "bad" IP addresses (e.g. botnet, etc). Is it even possible to use either of these features for this purpose? According the the following document is appears there may not be alerts for packets denied before signature analysis. Surely that can't be???
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ips/7.0/configuration/guide/cli/cli_collaboration.html#wp1067283
"Note This feature only applies to global correlation inspection where the traffic is allowed if no specific signature is matched. It does not apply to reputation filtering where the packet is denied before signature analysis, and no alerts are generated when packets are denied by reputation filtering. "Just listened to the techtalk on global correlation. about 16 minutes in...."we do not send events just to keep the load quiet". Can someone from Cisco please confirm that this completely naive and poorly engineered facet of the solution still works this way? I'm sorry to sound like an arse, but I am so completely frustrated with the value we get out of these appliances. Apparently, the ASA botnet functionality can do what we want, but not the stand alone IPS appliance....come on Cisco.
-
I have an ASA 5510 with an SSM-10 module. I have global correlation turned on and updating. When I look at the dashboard's "Global Correlation Report" I see packets that have been denied by global correlation. Can someone tell me how global correlation events are logged? I'd like to be able to see the raw data associated with the global correlation.
Thanks.Hi,
Take a look at this:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ips/7.0/configuration/guide/idm/idm_collaboration.html#wp1065809
As can be seen, whenever "global correlation" causes any kind of action to be taken by the IPS it produces an alert unless the packet is being denied by "reputation filtering" which does not produce any kind of alert. Also, "This feature only applies to global correlation inspection where the traffic is allowed if no specific signature is matched".
I am not sure of all those fields in then alert but i have seen at least some of them. If you are not seeing any alerts with those fields, then global correlation may not be seeing any instances where it has had to modify the risk ratings and take appropriate actions for it, that is, you may not be receiving any kind of such packets from malicious hosts at all in the first place.
Also, if you have "reputation filtering" on, you might want to turn it OFF to ensure it is not causing this behavior.

Applying filters to multiclips
Hello,
I am trying to apply a filter to a lot of footage, including multi-cam footage. It seems that whenever I apply a filter to a multiclip, it dissapears if I switch angles and back again... What is the best way to apply a global filter to a clip, so that the filter is applied not only in the master clip, but also every time it appears in a sequence, and everytime it appears as a multi-clip?I'm not sure what you mean by button list... could
you clarify?
Tools > Button List > multiclip. Or option + j
also, is there a way to color correct a master clip
and have that correction applied to whenever that
clip appears in a sequence? If it appears in 15 or 20
sequnces this would be a lot easier than copying and
pasting the filter whenever the clip appears.
I've found the easiest way to do this is the do a Find in the timeline. If you have named your clip properly you can Find All of a particular clip. The find command will select all and you can drag a saved effect to them all at once. -
Cisco Prime Inf 1.2 global SNMP/SSH parameters
Hi - I'm looking for a way to create global credential profiles in Prime Inf, like I was able to do in CiscoWorks LRE. I have discovered a bunch of devices on my network, but I cant get the configs or inventory to sync on some because the SSH and/or SNMP parameters are incorrect. I can edit a device and modify the credentials, but if I select more than one device, the edit option is grayed out. I don't want to have to go into each device and modify the credentials. I'd like to do select a group of devices and apply a global credential profile to them.
We have several areas that use different credentials so that is why having mulitple global credential profiles is necessary.
Please advise.
ThanksLook in the Prime 1.2 user guide--there are sections that talk specifically about templates.

Global change of paragraph tags
I need to change like a hundred heading2s into heading3s, and heading3s into heading4s. I could do a find for each para tag and manually change it to a different heading tag, but I am hoping there is an easier way. Is there a way to select say 50 pages and globally change paragraph tags?
BillTim1911 wrote:
This works great, but only for a single file.
Is there any way to apply the Global Update Options to every file in a book file (i.e., every chapter in a book)?
Thanks.
* Make a safety backup of all files that you'll work with.
* Change the definitions in a single file, then include that file in a book with all the files that you want to change to the same new definition.
* Save the changed file.
* Use Shift+File > Open All Files in Book; when you do the import below, all open files will be changed as you command, but will not be saved, so you can back out of the changes, if you discover unwanted results, by closing the files without saving.
* Select all the files in the book window.
* Use File > Import > Formats.
* Choose the changed file as the source; turn off all the items except the paragraph formats (and character formats if you want them changed).
* Click Set.
* Inspect the open files for correctness.
* When you're sure all changes are OK, from the book window choose Shift+File > Save All Files In Book.

I am in the process of applying a global signature. While, I know that I can apply it to the PO, I would rather apply it on the user level. Is there a way to set multiple users Client Options to use the sig rather than opening each user and changing their options individually?
Oops. Posted in the wrong category. I don't need GWIA assistance :)

Global vs interface switch command
Hello, If I have a command globally which applies on all switch ports but then I want to configure one port with a different command not apply the global command on the switch. When i configure that port will it take effect the new command configure for that port and disregard the global command that was apply on the other ports?
Well without testing and not knowing more details about what command you wish to try - I think that more specific (in this case interface command) will take precedence above global one...
Plese do some testing - in this particular case it's about 5min job...

When i configure that port will it take effect the new command configure for that port and disregard the global command that was apply on all ports or the global command still take effect and interface command not take effect? Some of the most common commands that are used on a per-interface level (which overrides the global commands) are:

Global Background Colour with individual Overide Text Boxes
Hi I am looking to apply a global background colour using the details properties.
However I have individual text boxes that have their own background colour based on expressions that I want to overide the global details properites.
So I set up the global one with this expression
IIF(Fields!Number_of_Defendants.Value = 1 ,"Yellow","Transparent")
for the individual text box I used a nested IIF
=IIF(Fields!Bill_Rate.Value = 115,"Red",IIF(Fields!Number_of_Defendants.Value = 1 ,"Yellow","Transparent"))
This works but I'm wondering if their is a easier way so I don't have to have the 2nd clause.
RegardsHi aivoryuk,
As per my understanding, I think the expression you post is simple way. If you don’t want to use IIF function, I suggest we can try to use switch function as below to achieve the similar requirement:
=Switch(Fields!Bill_Rate.Value = 115,"Red",Fields!Number_of_Defendants.Value = 1 ,"Yellow")
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
Thanks,
