Applying audio parameter to an iobject

Hello everybody:
I have a little problem... I am trying to apply a behaviour to an object. The audio parameter to make it follow the audio track I am playing. I select the object, apply the behaviour and in the inspector window in the audio source I apply to.... audio track. Nothing happens with the object, no following any frequence of the audio, nothing at all. Am I doing something wrong_ Could someone give me a hint on this please?
Thanks a lot....

To apply the audio parameter behavior (or any parameter behavior for that matter) first choose the parameter you want to animate in the HUD or Inspector (e.g., Scale), then right or control-click on the parameter and choose Audio from the pop-up menu. Then, in the HUD or Behaviors tab of the Inspector, assign the audio track to drive the animation, set an amplitude and frequency range if desired, and adjust the other parameters to taste.

  • Creative media source-How to apply audio cleanup permanant

I have some older blues in mp3 format that I have downloaded and some that I have ripped from cd. They have alot of hissing and "noise" in the background, when in creative media source organizer, I use audio clean-up button to get rid of hissing and noise, but if I want to burn those songs to cd, how do I apply the audio clean up to the file.
Also It mentioned in all of the advertising that you can "super rip" your audio cd's, which I have done, but it also says you can permanantly change your whole music "library" into better quality (I am assuming using crystalizer), but how do I permanantly apply these settings to the music files on my hard dri've. Does any one know how to do this, or if there are any good "links" or tutorials I should look at, thanks in advance for replys.

No, you cannot apply audio clean up permanently to the files. Audio clean up is a unique feature of MediaSource's playback. The noise will be removed by MediaSource before MediaSource plays the audio. However, the physical file is not changed at all. One trick you can use is to record What U Hear while playing the files with clean up enabled. This way, you can record the clean audio.
SuperRip's audio enhancement cannot be applied permanently to your existing files. You can use the same trick of recording What U Hear.

  • Red line and beeps when trying to apply Audio Filters in FCE

I'm using FCE 4.0.1 and am getting red line and beeps when trying to apply Audio Filters. I have rendered the files. No problems with audio otherwise.

Just as a point of clarification, you stated that you were "getting red line and beeps when trying to apply Audio Filters"  Did you mean when you applied audio filters?  Or just when you were trying to apply them?
What is the format, sampling rate and bit depth of the audio?   Does it happen just with certain filters or with any filters applied?

  • How do I permanantly apply audio noise reduction in FCP X

I have a clip shot on a blue screen set that had some noise in the background (constant hum from air conditioner). The Background Noise Reduction in FCP X, applied at 100%, does a truly amazing job. But there is one huge problem. It appears that FCP X "learns" as the clip is played, perhaps taking it's own noise print of the background noise, and applying it on the fly. Because for every clip I apply 100% background noise reduction to, that clip begins playing and you hear the full audio with noise. After a few seconds the backgroun noise begins to fade away. After playing for about 5 seconds, the background noise is completely gone. And it's freaking amazing. Better than what I've ever been able to accomplish with Soundsoap or other programs. But the fact that it must do this on the fly each time means it is unusable to me. I can't have each clip in my timeline start with noise, then have the noise drop out after a few seconds. Is this a bug? Am I doing this wrong? There are really no settings. You either have Background Noise Reduction on or off and set your percentages.
I am fixing audio on a 1 hour program. Really need this to work. Anyone else having the same problem, or found a solution? Or know what I might be doing wrong?

Does this mean you actually like the audio to sound as though it was recorded under water? I guess it depends on the amount of noise that requires removing, but I've never been able to tolerate more than about 40% before the audio gets horribly distorted.
I really don't share your experience of FCP X removing background noise 'on the fly' (sorry).

  • Applying audio fades across multiple tracks for surround

    Hi,
I am working on a concert recorded in surround, and have been given the mixes as 5 separate audio tracks. I have to fade in and out at the end of each song as there is a commentary in between the songs. But I have to apply the same fade to each track (i.e. left, right, centre) which is quite time consuming, especially when I need to change the fade length by a few frames so they fade out equally.
Is there a way to link the fades (I've linked the audio tracks - but it doesn't seem to effect fades)
    Thank
    Daniel

You could also Map the individual Audio Tracks to a Submix Track and then apply the Fade to that. It can be easily done in Audio Mixer with Track Keyframes on the fixed Effect>Volume. You can also use Audio Mixer to "route" or Map your individual Tracks to that Submix Track.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
Note: Audio Mixer will apply TRACK Keyframes, so they stay exactly where placed on that Track, regardless of what one might later do with Clips.

  • How to apply audio and video transitions automatically when drop multiple clips to timeline?

If I remember OK, in previos versions of Premiere it was possible to Drag multiple Clips from project area to timeline, and apply automatically audio/video transitions.
It was possible to configure how many video frames will be overlapped to do a default transitions (and for audio, also).
Is it possible in Premiere CS6 to do the same thing ?  Leave me a link to documentation, or a hint, how to get this thing done.
I have searched over the documentation, but i have not found.
    Thanks for hints.

I believe the feature you're referring to is Automate to Sequence. In CS6, it was in the Project Menu; for those using CC, it is in the Clip Menu.

  • Applying audio to both channels

Does anyone know how you can take a signal that is already inported into imovie that only has audio on the right channel and apply it to both audio channels?
      Mac OS X (10.0.x)

iMovie does not allow editing of left and right channels BUT that's why it integrates with GarageBand! If you have the latest version of iLife, you can export the project to GarageBand for scoring and sound editing! This allows you to place sounds in the left or right tracks.
If you have QuickTime Pro, you can also do the same sort of thing, but I find it easier in GarageBand.
If you find this helfpul, or if it solves your problem, please indicate this by clicking in the appropriate icon in the header of this reply.

  • Can't apply audio transitions over some sequence joins

I have a rough cut sequence I'm putting together and am trying to apply a cross fade over 2 sequences. For some reason I can't apply the transition over the splice area...it will go to one seq or the other (icon is |= ) other parts work fine (icon is =|= )
    There are 6 seq's in this cut 4 transitions work as I expect...2 don't
any ideas what I'm doing wrong???

For every clip you put on the timeline there is a clip in and clip out.  The clip also has two physical ends of the media file.
If the clip out of the outgoing clip is the same as the end of the media file, OR, the clip in of the incoming clip is the same as the start of the media file, you cannot place a transition--there must be overlap for most transitions.
Go to the junction between the two clips you are trying to place a transition:
Using the trim tool, drag the clip out of the outgoing clip back an amount equal to 50% of the transition duration
Using the trim tool, drag the clip in of the incoming clip forward an amount equal to 50% of the transition duration
If this created a gap between the two clips, do a ripple delete of the gap.
By dragging the clip in and clip out with the trim tool, you moved them away from the physical ends of the media file  you now have what Harm refers to a handles.  You can now place your transition.
As Harm said: "Read the manual," and everything will be made known to you.

  • Applying audio to slideshow

I am creating a long slideshow and want to put more than one song back to back. How would I do this? It just keeps looping the same song over and over again.
    Thanks!

To answer your question directly, most folks make a playlist within iTunes and use that within iDvd. Or if you're iTunes skittish like me, you can use an app like QT Pro and edit the audio and use that in iDvd. Other apps also work like GB, iM, FCP, etc.
    I'm curious ...
Is the slideshow over 99 images (yes /no)?
Which equipment exactly will be used to play the finished dvd?
(Will it be played on your mac or a separate dvd player?)

  • Applied audio affect not working at beginning of each clip

So I have a bunch of clips that I have added a "Denoiser" audio effect to. I then go to effect controls and play with the settings until the hiss I am trying to remove is gone.  I then play back the clip with the effect added to the audio and it sounds great.  Perfect
Then later on if I go through and watch the timeline again, at the begining of every audio clip I added the effect to, the effect is essentially bypassed for the first 1-2 sec of the clip, or in my case, I hear the original hiss during the first 1-2 sec of each clip and then it cuts out and goes back to the edited version. When I export this same hiss for 1-2 sec is still there and is very noticable and annoying.
For a little background, I mave a muted audio 1 level, a song or background music on audio level 2, and my overlay audio on level 3 which is what I am adding the Denoiser to and having problems with. I have even gone through frame by frame with the effect controls open to see if there is some sort of key framing accidently selected but there is none.
    Any suggestions to fixing this?
    Thanks

  • CrystalReportViewer in CR2008 - Parameter panel - apply button

    Hi,
I'm working on a .net desktop application, that uses CR embedded server as a reports engine.
We just migrated from CRXIR2 embedded server  to CR2008 Embedded server in our new release.
We want to use the new functionality of dynamic parameters in CR2008 in our application,
In our client side, we wrapped the crystalreportviewer control and hid the navigation buttons and toolbars, and replaced them with our own. We also have our own parameter pannel.
I  would like to hide the viewer's parameter panel in our client side, and add an "Apply" button to our custom parameter panel, that will apply the parameter values without refreshing the report. This is meant to keep the same look and feel with the previous version of our product.
I found how to hide the parameter panel:
    this.reportViewer.MainCrystalViewer.ShowParameterPanelButton = false;\\MainCrystalViewer is crystalReportViewer object
I didn't find any method that applyes the parameters.
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    Dana

I think I found how to do it:
    public void ApplyParameters(Hashtable parameters)
                ReportDocument doc = ((ReportDocument) m_viewer.MainCrystalViewer.ReportSource);
                foreach (string param in parameters.Keys)
                        doc.SetParameterValue(param, parameters[param]);
                m_viewer.MainCrystalViewer.ReportSource = doc;
    Still testing this method.

  • How to apply parameter map?

Ok this may seem a bit of a dumb question but I just can't get a straight answer from Googling or from the IOS release 15.2 Security Config guide for ZFW.  So,I am editing the parameter map that governs tcp queue length in the OoO (Out of Order) global parameter map:
    Router(config)#parameter-map type ooo global
Once I've made my changes, do I need to add this to a policy map?  Or does this just go into effect by default somehow?
    Thank you.

    Hi Julio,
Well, I bought this ebok at Cisco Press ($14.99).  I don't have a Kindle unfortunately.  Normally I'd try bittorrents for this kind of thing but when it comes to business and work related material I like to keep it official.
The ebook is only 112 pages which is good since I already have the CCNA Security book from Cisco Press queued up for reading but I think this ebook will be a good starter and is probably more to the point with real world talk.
By the way, if you answer my question above, I can then Mark Correct Answer    Since I have the OoO parameter map defined, do I now need to apply it?  I know reading the book might give me an answer but just so I can get this particularthread off of my "to do" list I am hoping for the quick answer.  I know how to apply a parameter map to a policy map, just wondering whether these global ones like the ooo one need that, or are they applied by default and so you just need to edit their configs to change how they work.

  • Is there a way to reverse the direction of video using audio in Motion 3?

    Hello all!
Brian here. I have a question. I'm looking to have some music I've written in Logic, to control the actual playback direction of some video footage I've shot. A more visual way of putting this would be like "video scratching". As the audio has scratching in it, I'd like the video clip to reflect the scratching visually. I was wondering if there's a way in Motion 3 to do this. I've looked around, and asked a few people, and I've not gotten any further than having the video's scale (among other things) to bop to the music. Although that's also fun, it's not what I want. If you need more of a visual, check this link:
    DJ QBert:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuL8I0hpkQ4
Watch the needles move around as you hear the scratches, as well as some of the other graphics. It's this effect I'm looking for.
I hope to hear from you all soon!
    Sincerely,
    Brian.

Try using the Audio parameter behavior applied to the Speed of the clip, that should do it.

  • Audio Beahavior doesn't influence rotation

    Hi to all!
I'm trying to use the audio behavior on rotation, but it seems that it doesn't influence the graphics.
The purpose is to have a revolution indicator on the screen and by the time the revs increase/decrease the indicator moves up/down.
The strange thing is that if I use the same audio file (an engine noise of a car with revolutions up and down) on something else, for example a blur, the blur change according with the noise.
    This is what I did:
    - I have dragged and dropped the content "Altimeter 02".
    - Then I have opened the "Altimeter 02" layer and I have selected "Dial"
    - I have opened the "Dial" Inspector, and in the properties I have right clicked and selected "Audio"
    - at this point I have dragged the audio file in the little square window of the Audio. I can hear the noise, see the istogram, everything seem fine.
and... when I play the video I can hear the engine noise, but the indicator continues moving with the same pace of before, totally indipendent from the audio.
Do anybody have an idea about what could be the reason???
Thank you very much in advance,
    Stefano

    Howdy,
As Mark pointed out, you need to make sure that you're applying the Audio parameter behavior to the dial's Rotation parameter. Also, the dial already had a behavior applied to it (named "Rotation" which makes this even more confusing to explain) that you will need to delete. Otherwise, the Audio behavior and the Rotation behavior will fight over control of the Rotation parameter.
Remember: behaviors can be combined, but in this case, you only want the Audio behavior driving the rotation of the dial, so one behavior will do the job.
To summarize, here are the steps:
    1. Add the Altimeter 02 element to your project.
    2. In the Layers List, open up the Altimeter 02 element.
    3. In the Layers List, open up the Dial element inside the Altimeter 02 element.
    4. Delete the behavior named "Rotation" from the Dial element.
    5. With the Dial element selected, view the Properties tab in the Inspector.
    6. Set the Rotation value to -170º (this sets the starting point for the dial).
    7. Right-click on the Rotation parameter name in the Inspector and select "Audio" from the menu that appears.
    8. Add the audio file to your project that you want to use as the source for the Audio behavior.
    9. Point the Audio behavior at the audio clip (as you already described in your post).
    10. Start playback and adjust the Audio behavior's Scale parameter to adjust how much the behavior will affect the Dial element's Rotation channel.
An example can be found here.

  • Audio tracks missing when doing automate to sequence.

Using PMW200 with 4 audio tracks. When dragging single file to timeline I get the 4 audio tracks. But when I do an automate to sequence, I only get 1 audio track, plus, the default audio transition is not going on.
I have all the tracks highlighted and have ticked apply audio and video transitions.
Any idea where I'm going wrong? Thanks
    Mike Ward

Hi Kevin.  I uploaded a clip onto you tube for you to try, but you tube mixed the audio tracks so it was useless.
Basically, drag any video clip with 4 audio tracks recorded from camera onto timeline in cs6, and all audio tracks appear on the timeline.  But automate several similar tracks to timeline and only one audio track gets added.  The other 3 do not appear.  Is there a work around for this, rather than dragging all on one at a time.
    Thanks
