Applying custom EQ setting to iPod Nano songs

Hello,
When I connect my iPod to my computer it shows up in iTunes. I can then browse the music stored on it like I can my main library. I select all songs and right click to bring up the "Get Info" settings. Here I can apply settings to all songs in one shot.
There is a section called "Equalizer Preset". In here I have a few presets that I have created and saved. I thought maybe if I selected one of my presets it might transfer that preset over to the iPod and be available in its EQ settings area. While I found this not to be true (custom EQ setting did not transfer), when I unplugged my Nano and played some songs they sounded different... better. On to the question ...
Doing what I did above, will iTunes apply the EQ preset directly into the Nano's songs? IE ... modify the songs audible frequencies so that the preset is sort of "built in"?
I think something must have happened because normally I have the iPod's EQ off and after this procedure the songs sounded closer to what iTunes plays on my computer with the EQ on. Also when I applied the settings, it took iTunes about 5 minutes to complete the procedure on all songs (30 songs), clearly iTunes was busy doing something.
P.S. I also applied gapless playback to all songs but didn't notice any difference in the way they play. What exactly is gapless playback supposed to do? I thought it might be like the crossfade option of iTunes.
Overspeed

As to the eq, the iPod will playback songs with the eq setting assigned to them in iTunes as long as you have the eq on the iPod set to "flat".

Can I synk my iPod nano songs to my ipod

    Hello there, bmarkinson9.
To begin you will need to sync your content from the iPod nano to your computer. The following Knowledge Base article lays out those steps:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848
Once it's in your iTunes Library, you can then sync it to your other iPod:

  • 2gb ipod nano, songs

I have a 2 GB ipod nano and it says it can only fit 500 songs it. On the bottom of the itunes screen it says that the 2 GB isn't all filled up. Can I get more than 500 songs on it?

One way to work out how much you can get on the nano is to use a Smart Playlist:
I have a 4gb nano and set the playlist to have 'Limit to' 2900 MB selected by 'least often played'.
You can play around with the size 2900 MB until you exceed the capacity then you will get an idea of what will fit.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Colin R.

  • Ipod nano-song jumps prematurely

In my ipod nano the song jumps to next in few seconds mostly.
People suggest it is due to defective CD from which the song was downloaded on to itunes in PC
Is it possible to dwload itunes from PC to a CD or DVD,erase itunes prtly or fully from the pc-RELOAD FROM THE DOWNLOADED CD/DVD on to PC and sync the ipod again to correct the jumping
    <Post Relocated by Host>

yeah, you could re-rip the song. Does it play ok on iTunes, just not on your Nano?
Also, check the options on the song.
    - click on it in iTunes
    - File -> Get Info
    - Select the Options tab
    - See if the "Start Time" and "Stop Time" are unticked. If they are ticked then the song may not be playing for its full duration

  • Itunes erases my Ipod Nano songs

Over the weekend my sister wanted to add this one song to my Ipod and she updated my Ipod Nano and now all my songs are erased. However, I backed up my files and now i have almost all my songs. I notice that everytime I hook up my ipod, I cant edit the songs inside my ipod, its all grey and unclickable. Also any song I have in the library replaces the songs I have in my Ipod. It erases all the songs on my Ipod. Can anyone help me fix this?? It says Updating Ipod and its automatically adding songs from the library and deletes whatever is in my Ipod.

I accidentally pushed restore thinking that it would "restore" or add my newly purchased songs onto my i-pod. Is there anyway to undo the restore to get my 140 lost songs back? I know that they might be on the hard drive of my original computer that I used to download the majority of the songs, but it was hit by lightning. The hard drive was saved but it is not currently installed in any computer. I am going to look on the back-up that the computer store gave us of data from the hard drive but I am looking for other solutions besides purchasing the music again. Any thoughts or helpful suggestions.?

  • IPod Nano song syncing problem

I have 2 ipod nanos (5th and 3rd gen) and I have noticed some of the songs will not play ( they show up on the ipod though) but they work fine on itunes. everything is up to date, the songs are checked and it's not anything obvious. I have tried resetting are restoring the ipods but no luck. I have noticed all the songs that won't play have ID3 tags- v2.3 and LAME3.98. i know very little of what that means so can some help me understand how i can get these songs working again. I'm almost positive that the Id3 and lame are the reason though.

Doese anyone know how could it work?

i dont know how to put my current songs on itunes onto my iphone 4

Connect your iPod to your computer. Launch iTunes.
From the iTunes menu bar click File / Transfer Purchase From...
When that's finished, connect the iPhone to your computer.
Select the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window in the source list.
Select the Music tab from the menu.
Select the Sync Music button then click the Sync button bottom right side of the iTunes window.

  • Transferring songs from ITunes to IPod Nano

I have IPod Nano 5th Generation, and the latest IMac operating system.
Had no problems until today, because yesterday I downloaded the brand new ITunes 11.0 (163). Trying to transfer songs from ITunes to my IPod Nano. Not sure if I should submit this question in the ITunes section or the IPod Nano section, so did both.
ITunes used to - until today - show my device (IPod Nano and its playlists) on the left side column of ITunes, above the ITunes playlists. So I could just click on a ITunes song on one of the ITunes playlists and drag that song into one of the IPod Nano playlists above it. Now with this new version of ITunes nothing shows up on the left side, so I have no way of dragging songs from ITunes to IPod Nano. An IPod Nano icon does appear on my desktop, but clicking on it or its contents does not show any IPod Nano playlists. I could click on the IPod Nano icon on my desktop and then click on "all files" on top. There is an area that shows all the IPod Nano songs (I think),  but it does not show the IPod Nano playlists.
    1) How do I get the IPod Nano playlists to show?
    2) Please advise how to transfer songs from ITunes to IPod Nano playlists when using this new ITunes 11.0.
    3) If this cannot be done, is there a way for me  to go back and reinstall the previous version of ITunes?

I don't think the late/great Steve Jobs had this "new and improved" version of ITunes to be so darn frustrating.  It used to be relatively simple to put songs into a playlist or to import purchased songs from ITunes into an Apple device such as the IPOD Nano.  "Simple" used to be the selling point of Apple products.  What happened?  With this new version, I feel like I've got to contact Apple Support to do simple tasks.  It seems like I'm not the only person having this problem.

  • Ipod Nano 7th generation touch interface is now screwed with due to apple update.

Hi, I recently purchased a new laptop switching over from a macbook pro 2010 of which the logicboard died. In this newly configured windows 7 64 bit laptop I downloaded the latest itunes. I then connected my ipod nano 7th generation to it and it requested to format it since it was formatted for a mac. I did so and restored my ipod nano 7th generation. After this however my previously perfectly working nano touch interface (swiping, touch to select) is now completely messed up. This has to be due to the formatting and/or the new nano update or itunes update from apple. I can't even swipe to the right or left to move between screen interfaces on my nano anymore. As well the touch icons require double taps and have rectangular white selection boxes over each icon (NOT NORMAL)
Overall I am very displeased and want apple to fix this with either a new firmware nano 7th generation update or apple itunes update for windows 7 64bit. I'm thinking of buying a replacement iphone 4 but now that this issue is prevalent how can I TRUST Apple that nothing wrong will occur with connecting a new iphone 4 to my itunes on a windows 7 64 bit PC.
I am NOT the only one with this issue as you can check out for yourself: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20130727205241AAOmiuC
REASON FOR POSTING THIS HERE: I want more exposure to this issue. I couldn't get access to customer support since my ipod nano 7th generation is over a year old. This is cruel but whatever, Apple does what it wants and I will post this here to do what I want. Gain exposure to this defect that clearly Apple is not addressing since the above link displays a user with the same issue and posted the problem 3 months ago.
    DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS APPLE

    Hi ImAMinion.
Very good question. I should have explained that part. VoiceOver changes how the navigation functions so it's a little tricky.
From the home screen I got to settings by swiping up and down instead of the normal left and right.
To open settings I first tapped once on the settings icon so that the box appeared around the icon. Then I double tapped the icon to open it.
I repeated the "tap once to get the box then double tap to open" process to navigate through the settings menu. Navigate to: Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> VoiceOver -> set to off. Once it's off the navigation will return to normal.
    Hope that helps.

  • I have an IPOD nano touch. I want to upload a few photos. How do I do it? I tried looking for connections on itunes.

Help! I have an Ipod nano. It has a touch screen. I believe it was the latest model to be sold? I want to upload some photos from my p. c. to the ipod. I cannot figure out how to do it.
I'm supposed to be able to connect the ipod nano to the usb port on my PC and follow the onscreen instructions in itunes to set up ipod nano and sync my photos.
I was there yesterday and after I connected the ipod, i got no instructions. I checked all over but could not find anything about uploading pictures.
