Appraisal - Column Configuration ( Apprisal Template)

Hello All,
I am implementing PMS on Ehp4.
I really want to understand how to do the column configuration. Any tips & Tricks pls share with me.
I tried to read various materials and help.sap but still i would like to understand the experiences in column configuration.
Especially i want to understand how the ratings are calculated and taken a average weighting etc.. 
Hide or un hide of the column between manager and employee etc..
Pls help me on this...

column config can feel very non-intuitive, since both the config and the way it displays in the new user interface (webdynpro) is all vertical or row driven.
the better way to thing about the column config, is an "attribute" config for your template.  Any attribute (column) you want to use on the template, must be configured at the template level to make it available lower level criteria groups or criterion. 
You may for example need to use "objectives" on a criteria group, but you don't want it displayed at the template level, at the template level you may only want the final calculated performace scale.  to make the column available for lower levels, but not displayed, you make sure the "use" is checkmarked, but than you configure no value list, value class, value determination, make sure the value input is "No Entry" and Note = "No note".
to calculate final appraisal, a simple example could be,
Template, with 3 Criterion Nodes.  Each criterion node you will have FAPP checkmarked, you can use a qualtative value scale, which will give the user a drop down box during selection.  Value Input = Required or Optional Entry.
Than at the template level you would have FAPP checkmarked and you would put the BADI "Average (Weighted)" in the value determination column, leave value class / value list blank.  Make sure that Value input = No Entry.  This will calculate the score of the 3 criterion nodes as an average.  Since you selected no value input, the output will be displayed as read-only calculated field.  They can only change calculated score, by rescoring one of the child nodes.

    We have a requirement to create template not for appraisal.  Therefore I do not want to have final appraisal column selected.
    However when I was creating category n save, I was getting error " select at least column obj0,fapp or papp".

    It seems like you have created an Objective setting template. If you don't want final appraisals, you can just select 'OBJ0' column and uncheck FAPP & PAPP columns. I hope this helps in solving your issue.

  • Appraisal- "Define Tabs and Process Configuration for template"

    Hi Experts,
       I am looking for implementation of Flexible template. However, I am unable to do so because "Define Tabs and Process Configuration for template" config node is not available even though we have activated business functions HCM_OSA_CL_1 and HCM_OSA_CL_2. We are in EHP 5 SPlevel 44.
      Please help.

    1. Check with Business Function CA_HAP_CI_1 ..first go through the documentation of the Business Function.
    2.Check with BC Sets is activated or not through tcode SCPR20PR...If it not activated then activate with Tcode SCPR20..

  • Part Appraiser Column in R/3 - not visible

    Hello,
    I'm facing trouble in getting the Part Appraiser column in OSA document within R/3. I've configured Appr. template with FAPP column with access to change for the Part Appraiser. Also the elements - Objectives are given individual access to the Part Apprsr.
    I'm suspecting if there is an authorization issue here. I'm using SAP_ALL access for testing purposes and still cant view the details in the Appraisal Document.
    Can you give me some direction on this please.

    Ok, this is the scenario.
    Part appraiser is the manager itself. It's basically been setup to achieve the mid year review. So its the same manager doing the Mid/Yearly review.
    Now, when Mgr logs in, he is able to maintain the weightages and Final Appraisal columns. Mgr login is not able to see Part appraiser columns in editable.
    We are on ECC6.

    I am currently building a new appraisal template for my client and I have configured the process timeline in the development system via the IMG node Define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template (transaction code HAP_TAB_CONF).
    Does anyone know how to transport the tabs and process configuration through the system landscape?
    We are on SAP ECC 6.0 Enhancement Pack 4

    I have used the report RHMOVE30 as you recommended and it worked perfectly in one run. I did not have to create custom relationships. I simply selected all the Process Item (VH) objects for my appraisal template and ran the report.
    Many thanks for your help. It has saved me having to configure the tabs and process timeline in each client.

  • Part Appraisal column in appraisal document

    Hi,
       In a template we have one appraise , one appraiser and one role as part appraiser...
    In R/3 that part appraiser column is coming in the editable mode.. but in standard BSP itself that part appraisal column is coming in the display mode always//
    is there any solution for this..?
    i need that column in editable mode..

    If in R/3 its coming in editable mode and only in BSP Page (HAP_DOCUMENT) its coming in Non-editabl emode, then I will ask you to check the Implementation for the BADI "HRHAP00_ACC_HEADER"....
    Note -
    1) The filter name (Filter created for the Implementation of the BADI) is assigned in the Appraisal Template as follow..
        Transaction PHAP_CATALOG -> Select the Template -> Processing Tab -> Further Template Behaviour -> Enhancement Area

    2) Inside this implemetation (hope you will find one in the step1, they case code with the UI_MODE, which differntiates BSP and R3

    I am trying to add a custom BADI to FAPP - Final Appraisal column. But I am getting an error saying 'Value Determination XXX not permitted for column FAPP'. I have copied the standard BADI AVERAGE and trying to incorporate that. Any ideas?

  • Performance Appraisal-Issue with Restrcited template

    I am trying to prepare appraisal document via tcode PHAP_PREPARE_PA. The system proposes three options:
    - Prepare Appraisal Docs with Template, Appraiser, Appraisee
    - Prepare Appraisal Docs with Organizational Units
    - Prepare Appraisal Docs with Restricted Templates
    Questions:
    Q1 What is the difference between 2 and 3 above?
    Q2 Is there any documentation that explains each option in detail?
    Q3 Is there a place where we configure the evaluation path each option takes?
    Q4 When I use the option "Prepare Appraisal Docs with Restricted Templates" and select the org unit/appraisal template, I get the following message:
    Object 01 VA 99912314 not found
    Message no. HRHAP00_TEMPLATE007
    What am I missing? Your timely assistance would be immensely helpful.

    The wizard enables you to prepare appraisal documents for different appraiser/appraisee combinations (such as manager appraises employee).
    1.      Call the Prepare Appraisal Documents transaction.
    2.      Click on the Prepare Appraisal Documents with Template, Apper, Appee link.
    3.      The wizard is started and it guides you through all the steps you need to prepare appraisal documents with the appropriate appraiser/appraisee combinations.
    Prepare appraisal documents using organizational units
    This link enables you to prepare appraisal documents using your organizational units.
    1.      Click on the Prepare Appraisal Documents Using Organizational Units link.
    2.      In the Root Object ID field, choose an organizational unit from input help and transfer it.
    3.      In the Appraisal Template field, choose the appraisal template you want to use from input help.
    4.      Enter a start and end date for the validity period.
    5.      Select the Test Run checkbox if you want to create appraisal documents in test mode. In this case, no appraisal documents are created in the database.

    If it is not known for which employee the appraisal document is to be prepared, the appraisal template is offered first. Input help restricts the employees available for selection to include only those employees who, on account of their employee attributes, can be considered for the appraisal template.
           1.      Click on the Prepare Appraisal Documents Using Restricted Templates link.
           2.      Select the required organizational unit from input help for the Root Object field. Transfer this organizational unit.
           3.      Select the appraisal template you require.
           4.      Enter a validity period.
           5.      Select the Test Run checkbox if you want to create appraisal documents in test mode. In this case, no appraisal documents are created in the database.

  • How to input data in a database table without knowing in advance table and column configurations

    Hi,
    I have a problem using LabVIEW for input data (manually) in a SQL database. I have about 40 tables in the database, each of them is related to a specific engine component. I need to create a user interface (maybe visualizing the table with a table control) where the users can insert data in the database table fields. Could someone give me some suggestion on how to do it?
    Using the  DB tools insert data.vi I need to know in advance the column configuration of the table, but in my database each table has its own structure! So do I have to create 40 different masks, one for every different table?

    I have not actually used the LV SQL Toolkit, but I will try and offer high level ideas :-)
    when you have retrieved the construction data for a table, you should be able to use array and cluster indexing to aquire the names of the fieds, enough to create a labelled table on the LV Front panel.
    After completing a new entry you can INSERT the entry into the database using the same data.
    Is the SQL toolkit an additional purchase, or included in newer versions as standard? If you post a sample of the cluster/array that you retrieve, I could give you a sample VI to give you some pointers in creating the User Interface table

    My question is very simple: how can one edit the Oracle Three Column Layout page template? I tried searching the file system for a file called "threeColumnTemplate.jspx" but I cannot seem to find it. Is it hidden into a jar file of some kind? Or at least can anyone tell me the name of the nice component located in the upper right corner that displays the loading activity?

    Extract oracle-page-templates.jar with winzip & browse to location oracle/templates
    open the file threeColumnTemplate.jspx using jdeveloper.
    after you open it , you can edit the logo , save the changes & create this jar again or save it to the zip which will automatically update the jar.

    The only way I can find to create these definitions is using SPRO and I don't want to give HR users SPRO

  • How to validate predefine PM template that is made by Apprisal Template Catalog?

    Hi, everyone.
    I'm customizing TMC talent assessment but some of them don't work well.
    I made a predefine PM template through Apprisal Template Catalog(IMG:Talent Management and Talent Development>Assessment of Employees>Talent Assessment>Transport Forms).
    However, I cannot set the Process Period of the template(IMG:Talent Management and Talent Development>Assessment of Employees>Talent Assessment>Define Process Periods and Groupings).
    In addition I cannot choose the template as a standard template(IMG:Personal Management>Personal Development>Objective Setting and Apprisals>Settings for Predefined Performance Management Process>Edit Performance Management Process).
    I guess the function which it enters the template ID to T77TMC_P_T doesn't work well, but I cannot enter template ID to T77TMC_P_T by myself (because It is greyout).
    Does anyone know how to validate the predefine template that is made by Apprisal Template Catalog?
    (I tried to make the predefined template by Talent Management Configration(IMG:Talent Management and Talent Development>Assessment of Employees>Talent Assessment>Define Forms for Talent Management) and distinguished that it did work well)

    I work with PI v1.2 in customer environment. This app has SNMP relation with 7 controllers (4 controllers in 2 WiSM modules, 3 controllers are standalone). All controllers uses WLANs which I sometimes need to update. I would like to use the PI so that update all of them in one step. But when I use WLAN Configuration Controller Templates and choose given WLAN Template then the PI answer me with error message: "Unknown Exception Occured. If the problem persists send logs to the Tech Support."
    Have you anyone had such a problem? Is it any bug of the application?

    No. CCX does not have a BAT Template-type concept. Your closest option will be the Assign Skills option within RmCm Configuration. This will let you assign skills to multiple agents all at once.
