Approved for Bank of America Travel Rewards Card

Hello,I was going through my account and saw a recommended offer for the Travel Rewards Card - 20,000 points sign up bonus if $500 spent in 90 days, 0% APR for 12 months and 16.99% APR later. I got tempted, applied and got instantly approved for $3000. I am still not sure if I will be using this card often. Thanks,APS

  • Bank of America Travel Rewards?

I see offer from my account on Bank of America, I'm thinking if should I get this card? Earn unlimited points – 1.5 points for every $1 you spend on all purchasesPoints don't expire and there is no limit to the total number of points you can earnNo annual fee & no foreign transaction fees†Redeem points to pay for flights, hotels, vacation packages, cruises, rental cars, or baggage feesUse your card to book your trip how and where you want – you’re not limited to specific websites with blackout dates or restrictions. You see my cards in my signature. What do you think? The big reason I want to get this card is that it has 0% APR for 12 mos and No foreign trans. fee. Because I'm going to have vacation in the Philippines. Right now I have Discover IT card with 0% APR with no foreign trans. fee. But they said, they don't accept DIscover card there. Mostly they only accept Visa and Mastercard. I'm getting tempted, but I want to garden for awhile. My last inquiry was 06/15. What do you suggest? and can I know why? Thank you very much.

The BoA TR card isn't a travel card like the CSP.  It really should be compared to the Barclay Arrival+ or the Cap1 Venture.  All three cards basically work the same way.   All of your purchases earn points (1.5 points for the TR, 2 points for the others).   When you have travel expenses, you can redeem the points at the best rate.  Basically they are restricted cash back cards.  These are the type of cards I would recommend for a frugal traveller.  The true travel cards are better for someone who wants to fly first class, etc and has the time to research how to redeem the miles. Assuming VS and MC are equally accepted, the Arrival+ may have a small advantage in that it offers online Chip and Pin.  The Venture will probably give you the best SL (tickets to the Philippines aren't cheap).  Although, BoA isn't stingy.   The Venture also has a very nice sign up bonus assuming you can meet the spend.  The sign up bonus is about the same as the Arrival+. The TR card only shines if you can combine it with the preferred rewards program.  Where you can be earning 2.625% cash back for all of your spend with no AF.  IMO if you are at plat honor levels with BoA PR,  you should definitely get the TR.  Otherwise,  I would carry the CSP,  QS and debit card for your trip.  If your credit report can stand a short term account, I would add either the Venture or Arrival+.   PS.  I assume you already know that you will probably need to carry some cash for when a credit card is not accepted.  For that I would probably look into a debit card with minimum fees for international cash withdrawals.  I wouldn't want to carry too much cash on me.

I believe if you haven't already setup an itunes account, if you have access to computer with iTunes installed , you can create an iTunes account on that computer with no credit/debit card and then just buy iTunes cards at your local retailer to get credits.

  • Bank of America Recommended Offer - Travel Rewards Card

of Good Morning: I've been a Bank of America customer for 11 years and about 3 years ago I was applied and approved for the Bankamericard Cash Rewards VISA. Future reference: their "recommended offers" mean zilch, zero nada. You can plug in your dog's information and get the same result, as others have done! Anyway, congrats on the card. As far as "travel cards" like this go, it seems BOA defines travel a bit more broadly than the others so at least your points can be used on more transactions (though there is still no real advantage over a QS/DC). But if you book travel through the BOA site I think you do get 3 points per dollar. This is not the 'general' recommended offers, this actually only show when you login into your account. After I PC my cash rewards I started getting this offers, for Travel with 15000, then disappeared, then 20000, now 15000 again. Sometimes the offer is for BBR also.  @OP, is your cash card at 22.9%? My offer say 16.9% after the promo and thats the APR I have on my card right now. Is this your lowest limit? I may try for BBR in a few months, but I want all my cards at 5k or more.

  • Bank of America Digital Certificates for Bank of America Direct & iphone 3G

I did a quick search and didn't see anything that i think i am looking for.
I am trying to access The Bank of America Direct Web Page. To do this from my work computer, I am given a Digital Certificate, that i download to my computer. I am then able to access the website, (after imputing usernames and passwords of course)
At work i use an IBM (LENOVO) ThinkPad.
I know i can export the digital certificte to other computers so that i can access the webpage from home or another desktop if i need to.
Does any know if it is possible to export this digital certificate to the Phone 3G, so that the webpage can be accessed from the safari browser?
    Thank you
    Joe

Thanks, but i beleive the BofA Direct website is separate from the general BofA personal account site.

  • Has anyone had a problem with depositing a check with the app for Bank of America?

Has anyone had a problem with depositing a check on a bank app?

Is the check something like a payroll check where its digitally printed and all in text?, or is it a handwritten check?
from my experience handwritten checks rarely work, myself and friends have always recieved an error stating the picture was to blurry no matter how many times we took a picture. From what i have read with others who have issues with depositing handwritten checks, some checks are deemed to blurry based on the handwriting, therefore the app wont accept the check, while other handwritten check will be accepted just fine, i hope this resolves your issue's and concerns

  • Bank of America Past Due Question

Hello Everyone!  So not to long ago I product changed my Cash Rewards to a Travel Rewards card and had automatic payments set up on my Cash Rewards but did not realize that the automatic payments did not transfer over to my new card. Now it makes sense as it's a new card #.  I was lucky enough to catch it before the next statement and just set up a payment and auto pay. My question is would this count as a derogatory mark on my credit report? Will it also effect my history with BOA? I've never missed a payment so not sure how this works. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Something similar happened to me with Amazon store card. I had entered the bank account number incorrectly so my paid in full did nothing. Called immediately and explained what had happened and corrected my account number. No negatives appeared anywhere. That was Synchrony. I suggest calling Bank of America asap and explain and cite your payment record. Good luck!   In my wallet: Capital One (secured) 1917; Quicksilver 5000; Venture 15,000; Barclay Apple Rewards 2000; CareCredit 3300; Bank of America Platinum Visa 2000; Bank of America Travel Rewards 3500; Bank of America Travel Rewards 3500; Amazon Store Card 5000; Discover 10,000. Total Credit: 51,217.
    6/25-FICO: EQ - 789; TU - 776; EX - 681; GOAL: 780 across the board then 800. Gardening until further notice.

  • Bank of America...Is it too Early to Try?

I've been told that BOA uses Experian and I have a score of only 550.  I went on the BOA website for customized offers I they had the Bank Americard and  the Rewards card under more options.  Is it worth trying for the rewards card?  Do you think I'm guaranteed the Americard since they had that one 1st?

I recommend avoiding Credit One at all costs. I understand that they charge a monthly fee, an Annual Fee and exorbitant interest rates. You are much better off with a secured card from a better bank or a CU that can get unsecured and grow with you. A Credit One/ Open Sky type credit card on your reports will point to credit problems in your past. BofA has two options, fully secured and 99/500. Cap One may let you back in with a secured card. There are others. My DG had luck at Wells Fargo with fully secured by going into a branch and opening a savings account. I had a good experience wirh BofA fully secured. They unsecured after one year and I get an occasional CLI. They now send me invites to get their other cards.

  • BAFF Format - Bank of America Format - Any SAP program to generate it

One of customers have a requirement to make electronic payments to vendors. The DME file should be in Bank of America format (BAFF).
    The guide reads :
Welcome to the STP Guide for the BAFF Payment file format. This guide has been customized to provide information related to the
specific countries and transaction types your company has requested.
Bank of America provides electronic data interchange services to clients as a means of effecting payments and collecting funds via direct debit. Clients have the opportunity to realise the benefits of STRAIGHT THROUGH PROCESSING (STP), by applying both
standard and Bank of America defined formats and keywords.
STP has been developed at Bank of America as a result of significant systems investment over many years. The formats are almost entirely based upon industry-accepted formats. However, a few keywords have been especially designated by Bank of America to enable clients to effectively communicate their funds transfer routing requirements. Our Clientu2019s adherence to the use of these keywords ensures the maximum opportunity to realise the benefits of STP whilst accessing a wide range of clearing systems and diverse funds transfer and collection services available through Bank of America.
I have tried with program RFFOUS_T - Payment Medium USA - Transfers/Bank Direct Debits in ACH Format. The output generated is no where near to the format.
Does anyone know whether SAP supports such format or any program that will help to generate the DME file from the payment run ?
    Regards,
    Santosh Puthran

I am also doing this piece for Bank of America/ Citigroup/Wells Fargo, i saw this post from your side, is it something I could get the solution regarding the DMEFormat your are looking for Bank of america?

  • Safari and Bank of America

I am NEW to Mac. I have a MAC Pro 10.4.9. Safari 2.0.4 (419.3). For the first couple of days all was fine then my Bank of America log-on would no longer work. I can open the home page for Bank of America but when I type in my ID and it attempt to go to the Site Key page I get the following error:
    Bad request
Your browser sent a query this server could not understand.
Even though Bank of America doesn't include Opera as a supported browser, I have been using it for years on my PC. I also was using Opera on the MAC and it too no longer works. I made no updates and installed no software.
Of coarse, Bank of America blames Apple and Apple blames my ISP. Apple had me reset permissions and reinstall Safari...no fix. It still works fine on my Windows box. Any help would be appeciated. Thanks Chris

    Hi Chris,
1st verify that you have cookies enabled for your Safari browser. Mine are set to always accept cookies and I am able to log into BofA without a problem.
To isolate the problem on your Mac, I recommend you try logging into BofA using another account. If you can access BofA from another account, then the problem is likely to be with either the Safari preferences or the cookies.
If the new user account works, then I'd experiment with deleting existing cookies (1st those associated with BofA) and try disabling Safari's preferences ... careful not to delete you bookmarks.
If you decide to try disabling the Safari preferences
    (1) quit Safari
    (2) move ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist to your desktop and run Safari
If the preferences have no effect, you can put them back. If that solves your issue, you'll probably have to trash them and start from scratch ... unless you or someone else can isolate the problem.

  • Dispute or wait for items to fall off? Bank of America goodwill letter denied

I plan to apply for a mortgage pre-approval in 02/2016 and want to remove all negative information from my credit reports before doing so.  The only thing standing between me and a clean credit report is Bank of America and a CC i had with them. Late payments are 30 days late Nov, 60 days late Dec 2008, 30 days late April 2009, 60 days late May 2009, and 90 days late June 2009 and  30 days late January 2011. I have sent 2 goodwill letters to their general address from the credit report and one email to the CEO and they shut me down each time by saying that the information is being reported accurately.  I believe that they are reporting inaccurate information and I think I would be able to have this removed from my report, but is it worth it at this time? Its been 6 years since 5 of the 6 late payments occurred and was wondering if removing the late payments would boost my score or hurt my score due to losing the age of the account, which was opened in 2005. My current AAoA is 4 years 4 months. The inaccurate information shows that the account was closed and opened multiple times, and the last reported date was 2/2015 despite my last payment being made in 2/2014 to pay off the old money owed on the card. Also, its showing a $25 monthly payment. Any suggestions?

  • Card Trick Approval for HSN!!

I have been trying for awhile to get the HSN pop up credit approval with no luck.  I just read a post from last year and I thought it was worth repeating. A little tricker than the other Comenity pop up approvals.  Firstly I was approved for $ 2,000.  Ok you put a couple of items in the cart and check out as a guest.  Complete the billing and shipping screens and when it ask you to input your payment information, enter your  credit card  information.  You will have to press the continue screen which allows you to review the order before you finalize the purchase.  Once you press the continue screen, the pop up pre approval appears.  Once you complete the pre approval and hopefully are approved, the credit information is replaced with your new HSN credit card number.  You can then remove the items....I happened to like a pair of jeans and actually bought them!  When I went to set up the Comenity account, I was unable to get any additional CL increase.  I'm satisfied for now, lol!
