Apps don't disappear after updating

My updated apps don't disappear after updating concludes on my iPad. I noticed that this only started happening after installation of iOS7.

Just so you know, the reason this was changed for iOS 7 was in conjunction with the Automatic Update feature that was also introduced with iOS 7. If updates to apps are being done automatically, then you would have no way to know what apps were updated or when. This new list in the Updates tab was added to provide the update history information.

Try a hard reset ie hold the power and home buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears (ignore the red slider). Are you still using iOS 4.3.3, as in your profile? A lot of apps now need an iOS of 6 or higher for the update to download.

after i update my ipod 4th gen from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1 the apps like angry birds don't work.
it likes the app start by flash only one and then comes nothing. the screen show the start display.

My apps don't open after updating

HELP!! I updated my ipad before i slept and this morning, apps such as keynote, QuickOffice, and Wallpaper don't open. They appear for a split second after i tap on the icon and the screen returns to the menu of apps again. I can see them in the bottom toolbar, though... so does that mean that they're open but have some sort of malfunction?? HELP!!

thanks! I got really ticked off and went to the nearest Mac shop and here's what we did: 1. made sure that my store account in my laptop was the same one that i'm using with the ipad. 2. tried to sync (but this failed). 3. downloaded some of the apps to the LAPTOP. 4. did a sync... AND IT WORKED!!!

One of these packages broke it. Disabled and reenabled the startup apps in the settings but no go. Worked fine this morning when i turned on the computer. Any ideas?

My apps don't work/after update/4th/ did up dates yesterday, now none of my apps are working. When click on them my screen blicks

When I did updates last night about videos. Now non of my apps are working. When I click on them the screen blicks on and off. Everything else see fine.

- Have you tried to reset yur iPod?
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
-Next would be to restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Last would be to restore you iPod to factory defaults/new iPod via iTunes since there may be corruption that is in your backup.

Don't give up so easily. You can try all of this really basic stuff before you call Apple. It may not work, but I will not charge you $29.00 for the support call either!
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Rey qutting all of the apps in the task bar if there are apps in there. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Also try syncing with iTunes again - the old way - connect your iPad to your computer - give that a try.

.AI Icons disappeared after update to 10.6.6

My .AI preview Icons disappeared after update to 10.6.6, they do show in Quicklook, but not in the folders. They are now just show the standard AI icons.
My other Imac's dont have this problem.

Don't forget to use Sophos' deinstall package: /Macintosh HD/Library/Sophos Anti-Virus/Remove Sophos Anti-Virus.pkg
Nevertheless, some settings have been re-initialized (no complete list!):
- Dock
- Language has been reset to English only
- Expose & Spaces
(- probably all personal settings?)

I'm unable to launch and Apple apps (app store, email etc) after update from Lion to Yosemite. I've got a crash report but don't seem able to post it here for some reason. Any ideas?

I used CCC to clone 10.6.8 then onto new drive. Everything works BUT all Mac apps.
Error: You can't open the app(s) because it is not supported on this type of Mac. (On MacBook 2011)

All good. Just drag and dropped each application and they worked until I did a restart. Then repaired permissions and everything works.

My apps don't work after synching music files from my PC through Itunes....though all the apps are shown in the Apps window in Itunes (The Apps match the iTunes account on the iPhone).....
Disconnecting after the sync and After downloading any app from Appstore through Wi-Fi all my apps start working.....

What happend is your phone forgot it was authorized to work with items associated with your apple id. If it happens again, download any free app to prompt the sign in, once you install the free app the others should work.

I was having this problem, seem to happen when waking computer, once finally connected network works great.
You need to edit your network preferences to order the network selection list. Goto this support page Using network locations (Mac OS X v10.6 and later) and edit your selection list.
I also created a "HOME" location and deleted all networks except wifi. Put MB to sleep woke and safari worked great. Still I re-ordered the networks under Automatic putting wifi at top, sequence is from top down. Don't forget to click Apply. Have fun

Yes, I tried that (thanks for the suggestion, though!). In my music app, when I click on certain songs, the screen moves to try to start the song, but then it bounces back to the menu screen without playing the song. On many albums, when I click on the first song, a song about halfway through the album will start to play rather than that first song. My other apps seems to be fixed, but not the music function.
