Apps store frozen

Just got a new iPhone 4s 16gb yesterday and trying to install instagram app. Went into app store, found instagram, brought the install page up but it is frozen. Won't let me click on install, won't let me go back, won't let me click on the bottom toolbar options. I can use all other functions of the phone by clicking the home button but when I go back into app store, it is still stuck, frozen, on the instagram install page. Anyone any ideas? Thanks.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

Mac App Store Frozen in Mavericks

Has anyone experienced the grey frozen screen on launching the App Store on OS 10.9.5? It does not respond at all, and the tabs on the top bar will all highlight simultaneously.
Things I have tried:
deleted all App Store plist files in the user library and the global library
logged in as a guest, same issue
reset the PRAM
reset SMC
safe boot, same issue
repaired permissions, same issue
changed DNS server address
Does anyone know of a method, short of reinstalling Mavericks, that could be a potential remedy? I'm command-line and mac-savvy, but I need some ideas.

Back up all data.
From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network
If the preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click the Advanced button and select the Proxies tab. If any proxy options are selected, make a note of them and then deselect them. You don’t need to change the bypass or FTP settings. Click OK and then Apply. Test. The result may be that you can't connect to any web server. Restore the previous settings if that happens.
Otherwise, test on another network.

Ipod App store frozen. How do i fix this

My Apple App store on my ipod touch is frozen.
Stuck with a pop up window saying "Download Now- The Sims FreePlay will now begin to download. Ok"
Cannot press Ok nor any other button on the screen aka categories, top 25 etc etc. What do i do?
BTW, very illiterate when it comes to ipods so step by step needed

Try the standard fixes in order:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup
- Restore the iPod to factoryt defaults/new iPod.

App store frozen during installation of iPhoto -- Why?

I am using the App Store to update iPhoto. It has frozen with "less than a minute" to go. How can I unfreeze it, or clear it and start again? I have tried closing and re-opening the app, to no avail. Perhaps a restart will help. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, how did you deal with it? Thank you.

Definitely close the iPhoto app before updating the software.

Passbook App Store frozen

I have just updated my software and was curious to see what passbook was, when I pressed App Store it took me straight to Lufthansa and is now frozen, please help

I had this same problem and couldn't get out of it, though it was with the Sephora one. I saw somewhere else that you could do a reset by holding the Home button and the Power button at the same time. So I held them until the phone went black and then the Apple logo appeared. It took a while to reconnect to the App Store after that, but it appears to be fixed now! That being said, I don't think I'll try downloading any more Passbook apps until some of the bugs are worked out!

App store frozen

While browsng the 'featured tab' on the app store i clicked on a app to read the description but i now cant go back. The usual button to go back in to the store in the top left hand corner has gone. I have tried turning the phone on and off. I have tried signing out of itunes via settings. I have also tried pressing the other tabs like top 25 etc but every time i go back to the featured tab im stuck on this same app description.
Any idea how i can fix this?

Ok if you haven't already figured out the fix here's how to fix it.
Go to settings / General / Reset / Reset all settings this will NOT delete anything, But it will change clicking of the keyboard, location services, clicking of on and off, home and lockscreen pictures.
But it does fix the app store. The ipod will go to apple screen and have a bar under it after the bar loads the ipod will turn off, turn back on. it may show another bar under the apple no worries it will still just turn on.
There you go app stores fixed all you have to do is set some setting back the way you like them.
And hey no need to go through a restore!

Ipad App Store said "20" updates. I attempted to update w/3G. Now many apps say "Waiting" and are frozen. When I go online and plug into computer it just updates and doesn't address the individual apps, which still say "Waiting" and are frozen.

Oh a few other things I forgot.
The long winded back-ups!!!! JESSSSSSH! Although I think the latest update seems to have bit into this a bit.
Also why is it that sometimes when the iPhone is syncing it will not say on the actual iPhone that it is syncing. I see it's syncing in iTunes but the iPhone doesn't have the typical do not disconnect -syncing message!!! What's odd is I can see the new apps being updated to the iPhone and as long as I don't open any apps it will finish it's sync but the minute I open any apps the iPhone will lock-up!!!

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

Double tap your home button and open apps will appear above as smaller screen shots. With your finger swipe the open app upwards and it will fully close.
The cntrl/alt/delete option on an iPad is a reboot and to do so, press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for about 10 seconds until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.
