AQ Adapters / DB Listener

We have a situation and we are trying to understand the exact root cause and any confiig which can done to avoid this from BPEL /Application Server
We have BPEL Interfaces running which Integrates various systems . These BPEL Process are imitated via AQ .
For some reason, if one of the DB fails or shutdowns, on startup /DB listeners are filled by connection from SOA Boxes.
Connection Pools used by SOA Services have max connection of 50, still its takes up all the connection, not sure what is the reason for the same.
Any help /any pointers is highly appreciated

Applications console are different from database consoles.
If the listener is down application would be down but the processes running the application are still up.
So once the listener is up the application should be up automatically.

  • Outbound interface determination in file adapter?

In my scenario files with different schemas can be send to XI from the same directory using the file adapter (so each file has a different interface that must be mapped etc.).
I cannot add multiple interfaces to the file adapter in sender agreement and determine the outbound interface by some condition. Interface must not be "*".
I thought about creating multiple file adapters (all listening to the same directory) and sender agreements. Each adapter is listenig to specific file type only (e.g. *.yxz, *.abc). So before putting the files to the input directory the file extension must be changed so that only the right adapter reads the file and XI gets the right interface.
Is there abetter way to do this???

Does anyone know which is the normal behavior of a RAC 11.2.0.2 after a failure?, im doing HA tests and i want to certify if my rac works fine.

What happen if i lose one of my public interfaces eth0?
What happen if i lose one of my privates interfaces eth1?
One of the nodes is rebooted...
    if ASM goes down?
what would be the behaviour of the local listener or the scan listener and the database services? they relocate?
And what happen when the problem is solved?

    Thanks

What happen if i lose one of my public interfaces eth0?
You will lose virtual adapters GI plumbed on that node. Consequently, Your local resources dependent on the virtual adapters (local listener, ora.net1.network and ons) will go offline, while asm and its diskgroups will remain available. Cluster resources like VIPs, scan and scan listener will failover and the DB will remain online.
What happen if i lose one of my privates interfaces eth1?
One of the nodes is rebooted...
If there are no issues with the node, it will join the cluster and local resources will become online and the node specific cluster resources will failover back to this node. Scan and scanvip may not move back to this node.
    if ASM goes down?
If ASM goes down on one node, then cluster resources(scan, scan vip and node vip) will failover and the DB instance would crash on this node.
And what happen when the problem is solved?
    (refer to reboot scenario above)
do they have to move back automatically to the initial node?
Node specific resources like the node vip will failover back to the node, but the scan and scan vip may not.

  • What is ESB?

    Hi,
I am a newbee to this forum and this technology. I am not able to understand what is ESB. A white paper defines it as 'the glue for the enterprise application infrastructure, the architecture’s integration platform provides the basis for gathering the information that drives the organization, from all types of data sources'
I have understood the concept behind ESB. What i want to understand is its actual structure. Is ESB like a directory where all the applications in an organization are registered by giving their interface structure and then one application can access another application through ESB?
Can anyone please help me with this?
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

OK, now I'm going into a "vulnerable mode". Let's see what reactions we will get on my definitions...
Simply said an ESB is a seet of tools and programs that can share information based on messages. The messages (mostly xml) are created and published and received over TCP/IP by deamons/applications/adapters that listen to the protocol.
In the messages meta-information tells who the sender is what the contenttype is.
Either a hub distributes messages to subscribers to messages(adapters) select messages if they are authorised to recevie them.
Plain messages can be setup as point to point connections. e.g. SOAP messages or epecificly webservices can act like this. An ESB has additional functionality, for example a processmanager or a business rule engine that act as a central/generic functional-layer in an enterprise. Also the ESB can handle multiple messagetypes, and even transform one type to the other, for example flatfiles to xml-files.
    For example;
You have an order-entry system that sends messages of orders to be shipped. But there are multiple warehouses that handle different orderttypes (e.g overnight delivery) or even deliver different products by warehouse
The businessrule to send an ordermessages to a specific warehouse is setup on the ESB where the messages are received and passed to the correct warehouse.
Let me know if this answer is what you expected

  • Listener Adapters in BPEL and ESB

I created 3 BPEL Processes and 3 ESB's listening to OA Adapters. All of them listen to the same event. I found from the UI that only one subscription is created for all the 8 listener OA Adapters. When the event is raised all my BPEL Processes are instantiated where as only one of the ESB process was instantiated. Why is this happening? Shouldn't the behaviour be the same across BPEL and ESB.
Also can anyone tell me why a single subscription is created for all the listener Adapters? Shouldn't it be like each process will have a subscription and we can disable them if we don't use it.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

    Vijay,
Generally the EIS(backend ERP / CRM), adapters and their framework would publish the message to the listeners only once. Once it is published successfully, it will not look for any other subscrbibers......
Note that this would vary between ERP / CRM, adapters, adapter framework and their implementation.
In case of SAP, the behavior of the MySAP adapter is as mentioned above. But, if you look at the PeopleSoft adapter, it is tied to one ip address and one port(message node configuration within PeopleSoft). So, if you want to publish to multiple listeners, then you will have to create multiple message nodes within peoplesoft.

Since the iOS7.0.2 update to my iPhone 4S, I can no longer choose use of my Bluetooth device if using the power cord to listen to MUSIC or answer my phone (choice of powercord as 'dock,' speaker, & phone only).  Was this former-feature now an oversight??  I'd really appreciate having my Bluetooth once again listed as a choice of  audio option.  Especially considering the battery life is not what it was prior to this update, and requires recharging often.

Sorry to tell you but unless you have a Retail Apple Store close by, they are the only ones I have found with all the adapters and accessories. I bought an extra lightning to usb adapter the other day to use in my truck. Good luck....

  • Listener on ESB file adapter does not appear to listen

I am new to the world of SOA, ESB, and BPEL and am starting with something simple such as reading a file from one directory performing a data transformation and writing the file to a different directory. I understand that Oracle's ESB and BPEL are very similar in functionality. I have successfully been able to read files in using a file adapter and listener in BPEL. When I try to set up a new ESB application with a file adapter and listener in ESB, I register the project with the Integration Server without any problems, and am able to see all components in the ESB Control. When I drop a new file into the directory that the adapter is attached and listening to, nothing happens. The file is not picked up and there are no new instances of any ESB services. Am I missing something? Is there a log that could be checked to see if the service is even checking the directory?
Along the same lines, I am wondering if there is an easy way to update the directory that is being listened to once the service has been registered/deployed (with either ESB or BPEL). Is there a config file that someone other than a developer could update without having to redeploy the service again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Which adapters to use to integrate 2 instances of oracle apps 11.5.10

We are using Oracle application server 10g integration interconnect(iSTUDIO) to integrate two instances in oracle apps 11.5.10 for the purpose of implementing customer data hub. We are not sure which adapters to use for this pupose. Whether it will be
    1. database adapters
    2. oracle application adapter
    3. Or any other adapters.
We have to use publish/subscribe messaging paradigm.
Any kind of help is welcome
    Regards
    Sourav Biswas

    You can use:
    1) database adapter (to publish from OEBS you call PL/SQL(send), on subscribe the PL/SQL(receive) called by adapter)
    2) AQ adapter (to publish from OEBS you put message in outcome queue, on subscribe the message is put in income queue by adapter, you listen inbound queue in APPS)
    3) Oracle Applications Adapter - it realises two above paradigms!
It can interact as 1) and as 2)
With one - you select in iStudio when you create Publish or Subsribe!

  • J2EE connector API in WLS6.1 and listening to CMP/CMR

              Hi,
I am interested in knowing any of your experience using J2EE CONNECTOR architecture

would be able to "listen" to the transaction events from the third party adapters,

  • SOA Clustering with third party JCA Adapters

    Hi,
We are planning to do clustering for our SOA suite which has third party JCA adapters. Some BPELs inside SOA suite will listen to the third party JCA adatper which will listen to third party system and some bpels are listening to the DB adapter for polling the records in DB.
Say if adapter1 is in node1 is downloading that message from third party system which is big in size and meanwhile if adapter2 in node2 can also start to download the same message which end up in duplicate messages getting download. So in clustering environment, how to make sure that the BPELs wont pick up these duplicate messages from the third party system/ DB where they are listening to it?
(adapter1 and adapter2 are the instances of the same adapter)
Is there any way in BPEL to identify if it is duplicate message which is already processed by the BPEL or not? If not is there any other way?
    Thanks
    Sree

    Thanks for the info.
But the links you provided talks about active-passive cluster configuration. But I am looking for the active-active cluster configuration where I have multiple instances of the JCA adapter running on different nodes. I want to make sure that the message picked up by one JCA adapter instance running on node1 should not be picked by the other JCA adapter instance running on node2.
    Thanks

  • Can i listen to the track name and artist in my iphone like ipod shuffle using voiceover kit?

    Hello People,
My question is, can i listen to artist and track name on my iphone 4s like Ipod shuffle using voiceover kit?
    Thank You.

I have an Alpine radio with an iPod dock adapter to let me control my iPod through my head unit. This had worked great with my Nano, but I heard that these adapters didn't work well with the iPhones. Mostly due to interference / feedback from the phone being heard through the speakers.
However, I was suprised at the compatiblity mine had with the iPhone, especially being that it is a couple years old (the apadpter). When you plug the iPhone in it says that the device may not be compatible with the iPhone and that you should put the phone in "airplane mode." I just kept my nano plugged in as I thought that I didn't want the equivalent of turning my phone OFF when driving, so one day I tapped NO. Well, to my suprise, I did not hear any feedback or interference through my stereo. And, In fact, While I was driving, I received a call and the music stopped and the phone rang!
So, your mileage may vary on whichever brand adapter you use, but I have found that it works just fine for me. Hope this helps.

  • IDoc Listener connecting to a clustered SAP

We have SAP MII V12.1 loaded to Netweaver CE 7.11 EHP1, and want to connect one of the Resource Adapters (an iDoc Listener in this case) to a clustered SAP environment by connecting to a message server / system ID / logon group combination.
I can successfully connect to a specific application server using server name / port number, but these don't exist within the clustered environment.
When I point to the message server, I can get the iDoc Listener to sucessfully register a connection to the RFC destination, but it does not receive any iDocs when they are pushed out.
Note that traditionally, I have used XMIIIDOC01 as a "Resource Adapter" within NW, and configured it to point to a "ServerName" and "PortNumber", but as mentioned these do not exist within a clustered environment.
Has anybody ever managed to connect XMIIIDOC01 (or similar resource) to a clustered SAP environment, by pointing to a message server / logon group?
I have been able to successfully configure a new JRA by cloning a "JCA Connection Factory", and call BAPI's etc, but now I want to be able to receive iDocs.
To be honest, I'm not overly familiar with the NW architecture, nor the relationship between
    1. Resource Adapter
    2. JCA Resource
    3. JCA Connection Factory
    Any assistance greatly appreciated.
    Regards
    Kevin.

    Hi Kevin,
Were you able to figure out what the relationship is between those 3 components?  If so could you post what you have learned here?
    Thanks.

  • How to Updates High Availability Listener IP

    Hi,
i have created SQL Server High Availability Group with listener.  Now Cluster, machine, and listener IP have changed.
pls guide me step how to updated all IP Cluster, and HA availability listener.
    thx
    iffi

    Hi imughal,
As your description, you want to modify the listener IP address in high availability group and the IP address in cluster server.
Firstly, you could modify a listener IP address on primary replica using the following statement:
    ALTER AVAILABILITY GROUP group_name
    MODIFY LISTENER ‘dns_name’
    ADD IP { (‘four_part_ipv4_address’,  ‘four_part_ipv4_mask’) | (‘dns_nameipv6_address’) }
For more information about the process, please refer to the article:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff878601.aspx
Secondly, you could change the IP address of network adapters in cluster server following the steps below.
1.Change the IP address of the network adapter on node A.
2.Start Cluster Administrator and open a connection to the cluster.
3.Double-click the IP Address resource to open its properties.
4.On the Parameters tab in the IP Address resource properties, make sure that the Network to Use box contains the new network as the network to use.
5.Fail all groups over to the functional node A and change the IP addresses for the network adapters in node B. Next, reboot the computer.
6.When both nodes agree on the subnets, the old networks disappear and the new networks are created. You can rename the networks at this time.
For more information about the process, please refer to the article:
    http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/230356/en-us?p=1
