the more quality feedback you provide, the quicker/better new releases will come.
And preferrably, try to test options which are not tested yet by others, or which were reported to fail, or which were tested with old images.

Just installed archlinux-2011.06.10-netinstall-i686.iso on Asus Eee PC 901 - SUCCESS!
On Archiso boot I saw this:

On installed system this warning also appears, but with an error:

I have wired eth0 with DHCP. I fixed both warning and error by defining "a single wired connection" as described in rc.conf and removing old network setup directives. Looks like installation script doesn't read news about Deprecation of net-tools: ifconfig is a part of net-tools which was deprecated and not installed by default. Do I need report bug?

Toolkit for feedback system? Motion; PID; Control/Simulation???

Hi, I have to develop/program an organ bath system - a feedback system mimicking real sinusoidal breathing oscillations (shown in attached images). I have NI Labview 8.5, NI-Motion 7.6, a linear motor (M-235 DC-Mike actuator), an MID-7654 Servo Power Motor Drive and a pressure transducer. I believe I will need to control the PID controller and am aware of the PID Control Toolkit as well as the Control Design and Simulation Toolkit for NI Labview. However, is it possible to control the system using the NI-Motion software I have at the moment? If not, do I have to purchase both the PID and Control/Simulation Toolkit or just one? Thanks in advance...

Dear Garry,
Do you have a motion controller to interface the MID-7654 to your
computer and LabVIEW? This would be the PCI-734x or PCI-735x. If you
do, I believe that you could implement your application with LabVIEW
and NI-Motion. You could do so by using the analog feedback feature for
the control loops for each axis. Then, you could specify the optimal
sinusoidal moves/pressure patterns that mimic real breathing patterns.
The analog feedback from your pressure transducer will be used during
the move(s) to maintain the pressure that you want.

I believe that the above option would work for you, and you would not
have to use the Control Design and Simulation Module or the PID
Toolkit. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I
haven't actually set up a system with analog feedback from a pressure
transducer before, but I believe that the above would be a very viable
option.

Real-time feedback system

My experimental setup (labview is being used to drive it) is as follows:
1. Give the physical system a random move -> 2. Acquire data using PXI-5124 digitizer -> 3. Perform some calculation on the data acquired -> 4. Accept/ reject the move based on the calculation
and go to step one.
How do I know how much time the program took to acquire data and perform the calculation (step 2 and 3). so that I can set the proper loop timing. I'm using "Flat Sequence Structure" for each step/ sub-step.

If you want precise information about timing, you need to do your own benchmarks. Go to Help->Find Examples. Search for "benchmark" and you should find "Benchmark Project.lvproj". It shows how to use RT Utilities pallete to make benchmarks on real time target.

Logtransport2.exe crashes (unable to start) on system shutdown

I have seen references to similar problems here and elsewhere, but all of them seem to be fairly old, and don't offer relevant solutions. I am running Windows 7 64, with all the latest updates, on a homebrew Asus MB with an Intel I7 processor and 32 GB of memory. I am having no other problems with the hardware or with other software. I recently subscribed to CC, having been a Dreamweaver (5.5) user for a couple of years.
For the last couple of weeks, on shutdown (if I have used any CC program during the session, but apparently not if I haven't), I see a crash box for logtransport2.exe, saying that it cannot start. The crash box stays up for a second or two, then the system continues to shut down normally. There appear to be six instances of logtransport2.exe in my CC root directory - one in the root itself, and one in each of the trees of my installed applications (ID, Acrobat, Photoshop, Photoshop 64, and DW). There appear to be none anywhere else on the system. All of the files seem to be identical (V 2.1.2.1756; 4/19/2013) except the one in the CC root, which is earlier (V 2.1.2.1640; 9/23/2012) - I wonder if this is relevant. I have tried disabling participation in the Product Improvement Program, which appeared to be the only potentially relevant suggestion in discussions elsewhare, but the crash box still appears on shutdown. This is getting irritating! is there a known fix for this?

This is just a "me too" post. I am having the same problem though it doesn't seem to be causing any damage...
I have 13 copies of this on my system, one each in the various Adobe app folders. The newest apparently came
with the new Lightroom CC install and unlike the other copies, it is much larger at 1,616 KB. The others are all at
or below 511 KB each. The oldest is version 2.1.2.1640 from 9/23/2012, the newest is version 7.2.1.3593 dated
4/6/2015.
I read elsewhere on the 'net that it is used for Adobe's (optional) product improvement feedback system. It is said
that you can disable this option to prevent this executable from running but I haven't looked into that or where the
option can be found and disabled in the software.
Hope Adobe notices this, there is a long history of folks have problems with this file.

Flexview Feedback

Note: This was previously posted on Verizon's Fios Facebook page and I was referred to this board to provide feedback.
I tried my first "Flex Viewing" experience last night, and I am more than disappointed with the entire experience. I purchased (not rented) "Pacific Rim" HD.
At first things seemed ok as I played it on my PC, but quickly realized there were no controls for rewinding or fast forwarding. Also, while I understood that the PC viewing would be in SD, the quality was *terrible* and grainy. It looked like I was watching a bad bootleg. Contrast that to my Netflix (run on the same PC) and episodes of "Portlandia" look like an IMAX HD experience in comparison.
I decided this may have been a fluke and then attempted to view it on my iPad 2 (iOS6) - all I kept getting was "We apologize, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again in a few minutes." I did so several times to no avail. I updated the iOS and tried again - still no luck. I tried again in the morning, still the same error.
I then attempted this on my iPhone 5 (iOS7) and the same message appeared.
This morning I attempted to resolve this with a technician. After a few minutes of chatting the conclusion was "It's your devices, everything is fine on our end." I asked if a ticket could be opened and escalated and was told there was no recourse at this time. In essence, I was told that I could not use the product I had purchased as advertised.
I will give credit where it is due. The billing department reimbursed me (via credit on my next bill) for the purchase and they were very nice. However the quality of the technical service, and the "Flex Viewing" experience leaves much to be desired.
I would hope any such launches in the future will be thoroughly tested and troubleshooting procedures beyond "reinstall the app" are developed.

Public betas I can understand. But I don't know what problem you are having with the feedback system. Which feedback system?

Beta in case you ever wondered is a common term in the computer programming field for lack of a better term for "Buggy Everyday Test Application." In other words Safari 4 beta is for guinea pigs who want to help Apple develop a better Safari 4.
The 3.2.1 update should work just fine as long as you have 10.4.11, 10.5.5, or 10.5.6.
If it doesn't it says you have an addon that uses the internet in such a way that it interferes with how Safari would run normally. It could be a dashboard widget, a Java application, a download software, PthHelmet, older version of Safari Enhancer, Pimp My Safari, older version of Netflix, or a router whose firmware is too old for your system. Regardless since many people have no trouble with Safari 3.2.1 update, don't assume that your problem is indicative of bad programming on Apple's part.

Feedback: Adjusting Blending Options over layer in Photoshop?

Hi all, I've got a really simple problem that i cant seem to find anywhere to configure it out. I've used photoshop for real long time and as i used it more and more often for my painting, i cant help but feel that the "Double-Clicking" when mouse over a particular layer, which shortcuts into the "Blending Options" is seriously bothering me too much for my personal preference.
The thing is, i liked that blending options thing on layers and what it does but i never really does use it when i'm using my photoshop for painting. Even if i did i wanted to use it i can right click and click on the blending options myself. What i hate is the amount of time it takes and lags when a blending options window is being closed, when i didn't make any modifications at all!
As i go through my layers fast in photoshop, i run into these problem alot where my wacom pen accidentally double click on a layer where i just wanted to drag it or rename it. Sometimes it really make my heart jump when it just freezes there for 10+ seconds. My computer is rather new while its operating on windows vista i seriously don't think that is the problem of the lag.
It could be the big dimensions of my photoshop layers and the way of my working that makes it lag alot when the blending options window closes(even though i did nothing), but i just want to solve this problem by by adjusting the double click / blending options configuration fuctions, but seriously i cant seem to find it anywhere. I've also looked into keyboard shortcuts, menu shortcuts, preferences but its not there. I've also searched around the forum no one else seem to discuss this before.
So I hoped someone here actually can help me with this it'll really be doing me a big favor. Its seriously getting on my nerves... sometimes it freezes for 15 mins when i'm on my biggest ps file which is like 8000X8000 pixels.
If Not, I hope to give a feedback to the adobe photoshop community and hope that our great Photoshop will keep improving better, by adding a way to actually make it possible and customize the 'blending options' over a particular layer shortcut to another shortcut so that it won't cause a problem for a user like me.
I also hope to suggest that it'll be alot better if there is a a straightforward direct feedback system that can feedback the message straight to Adobe through the programme itself ( although this is beside my main point) because it actually takes quite a while for me to register and figure out navigate my way through this forum and finally find a way to give an effective feedback. I believe many users will not bother to actually go through all this just to provide a feedback and I believe this will prove to be effective feedback for Adobe.
If I had any issues that I had left out or I didn't know, please do kindly let me know, cause i just registered here. Thanks for reading.

HA! I happened to stumbled upon the answer to my own question:
Use MAIN MENU > EDIT >
In the KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS and MENUS POP-UP, select
Twirl open the LAYER section
Scroll down and select
A text field will appear
Simply type the keyboard command you want to use!
NOTE: an ALERT will warn you if your shortcut is already in use

Firefox Beta Feedback site does not recognize browser as Beta

When I try to use the feedback app I get a page telling me to download the latest version of the beta. I am using version 4.0b2, the latest version according to Help>Check for Updates.

I have not found a definitive answer, but this is an educated guess. Beta 3 was planned for release on 6th August, but has been delayed a few days. There were similar reports about needing the latest beta for users of beta 1 just before beta 2 was released. I am guessing that the feedback system has an expiry date based on when the next beta is due to be released. So for beta 2 the feedback stopped accepting data around 6th August when beta 3 was planned to be released.

Feedback Questionaire Needs Improvement

I just completed the feedback questionaire which was sent to my email after activating my Q10. I was happy to be able to provide feedback, but was disappointed with the survey itself as I wasn't given the right opportunities to provide feedback.
There was only a set list of structured questions, and I wasn't given a chance to provide any general comments or suggestions for improvements. One field may have been purposed for that, but it was something like 'what would you suggest we improve so that you would recommend the phone to your family and friends?' which I didn't take to mean general comments or suggestions.
I expected to have a chance at the end of the survey to fill any open feedback, but the survey came to an end and I could not repeat it. So now I'm here. I can't be the only one to run into this, and I imagine that you are missing a lot of good feedback from users who don't wish to go through the registration process to post on a forum where it may not even be received.

Can't submit feedback in Firefox 4 beta2

When I try to submit feedback for Firefox b2, I get the following message:
"Oh! So, you want to offer us feedback on the next version of Firefox. Thank you, but you'll need to be on our latest beta."
My useragent is 'Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 (x86_64); rv:2.0b2) Gecko/20100720 Firefox/4.0b2'. It seems normal, any ideas?

Café feedback

Hi,
In using Café for posting to the forums, here is some feedback. I appreciate that some features may not be available in the Café version/AIR application.
When posting with apostrophe marks, they appear in the forum as ' and quotation marks appear as ". This could be confusing when providing a code snippet, where a quotation mark is important.
Is there a possibility of a spell checker in Café?
At present it is not possible to upload images into a post, but also you can't see images that other users have included in their posts. Is there a plan to deal with images?
I think it would be useful to have a visual indication that a thread has been answered. Possibly a subtle colour change to the thread in the index listing.
When considering increasing the width of the application, could the index also show who has posted last to each thread? I think it would be more useful than the date/time of the last post.
I appreciate that the current interface is clean and uncluttered, however when responding to a post (particularly if it is a long one) it is useful to be able to read over the question while providing a response.

When I go to fillout a feedback form it tells me I'm not running Firefox Beta

When I click out the "feedback" button on the top right and select either "Firefox made me sad because..." or "Firefox made me happy because..." It takes me to a webpage that says I'm not running Firefox Beta. I'm running it in a Virtual Machine, could that be why?

I noted that you posted this from Firefox 3.6.8, I take it you also have Firefox 4.0 beta 2 installed.

How effective is the five star rating system?

I'm all for rating buyers and sellers on eBay so that one can distinguish the good buyers and sellers from those that are perhaps a little less professional. However, I've had sellers ask me to leave a 5 star rating across the board, as they claim anything less is considered a negative rating. Most sellers write thank you on the items they send but in many cases that's the only communication that you've had with them. What does that warrant on the rating system to provide honest feedback? When the description on an item doesn't really tell you anything other than say "old stamp". How do you rate that? It is an old stamp; so looked at one way the description is very accurate but it's not really telling you anything about the item.. I may be a bit naive here but I've never seen a list of the criteria used to determine "very accurate", "very fast", "very satisfied" or "very quickly". For the rating system to accurately reflect how good or poor the buyers and sellers are it needs to be objective. That is to say that buyers and sellers must have a generally agreed upon statement of what constitutes the categories from 1 to 5. After all one person's "very fast" (it shipped within a week) could be another person's "very slow". Subjective ratings are open to interpretation and all one sees is the feedback comment and the ratings not how the person determined the ratings. I think this is a discussion that would help to improve the feedback system and make it a more accurate reflection of how both buyers and sellers do business in this arena.

It seems now that Ebay let now the sellers decide when it is ok to receive an item Not exactly. EBay removes Seller Protection if the seller does not ship within seven days. The delivery time is mostly due to the shipping service (China Post, USPS, Canada Post) although if an overseas seller uses Surface Shipping, he should understand that it will be on the high seas for six weeks to three months.The 'expected delivery time' is given by the shipping service not by the seller. Paypal is now allowing buyers to open disputes for up to 180 days**, in part as a reaction to unhappy buyers who have been hornswoggled into waiting past the former 45 day deadline for delivery. So really, there is now more power in the hands of the buyer. In my opinion, and I have lots of opinions. no buyer should wait more than 30 days for a delivery.Normal delivery from Europe* is 10 to 15 days.From Canada or the USA 15 to 20 days.From Asia 20 to 30 days. After that contact the seller and if neither tracking information nor a refund arrives within 24 hours, open a Dispute. *European sellers use Air Mail as default. Asian sellers, especially those using Free Shipping, use Surface as a default. **(Or just don't ship at all and then promise a replacement which never arrives, but by then the Dispute period of 45 days has passed.)

VMRC Feedback

It is nice to finally see development on a real Remote Console in the Web Client!
Please continue to make it production ready by addressing these issues:
The remote console opens the size of a thumbnail and the window must be resized for it to be usable after initial connection:
Hardware/Network Adapter -> Network Connection dropdown lists DSwitch DVUplinks as portgroups.
Hardware/Network Adapter -> Network Connection dropdown is blank and Hardware/Network Adapter Summary Column shows Unknown.
Number of active connections changed and current active connections to the console is not displayed as in .NET client..
I'd prefer if the MAC Address was always visible, ghosted but copyable in the network adapter view rather than having to click the advanced button to see it.
Having the I/O icons on the top left is nice, however they don't popup control menus or seem to do anything but mouse-over info.
Some of the ability of the.NET client to auto-fit, fit guest, fit window is missing.
On small screens, since there are no scrollbars or virtual viewport, some administration is challenging to perform.
In a production environment, the suspend button can inadvertently be pressed when the intention is to press the ctrl-alt-del button, which is used frequently.
I do not believe it is a good idea to have suspend be active, the power on button ghosted is better in the toolbar after powered on,
that way to suspend you must traverse the menu.
I would suggest the VM Settings icon also be in the toolbar or moved outside of the Managed menu, into the main menu as it is used too often.
With a multi-monitor setup, using fullscreen mode and unpinning the toolbar, it is challenging to move to the exact pixel required to unhide it, consider the bar as demonstrated in
Remote Desktop Client 8.0 which it is sizable and moveable.
Also I am experiencing Access Violations crashes.

Feedback / Submit an idea don't Work (Page not found) || Multiline Regular Expression Search

Hello,
I reached for some months an idea with a (multiline edeting, regexp search).
Nice to see this has already been integrated, making me but disappointing is the regex search, in combination with the Multiline Edeting.
But what it brings me to use the regexp search, when I cant edit all hits.
In this feature, I would like to point again.
But unfortunately I cant find the feedback system, and here in the forum I always get the error message, page not found.
Beautiful would be if both would be patched;)
For me, the code is currently the "http://www.sublimetext.com/" editor of my choice if Adobe would therefore produce some its functions, edge code would be a real alternative.
Yet I find Edge Code is not ready for Daily-use.

Thanks for reporting the broken links -- we'll look into that. As Randy said, you're welcome to just post suggestions & issues here in the forum, though.
Regarding multiline regexp search: that is possible in Edge Code, with some limitations:
To search multiple files, use the Find in Files command, and then use any regexp containing "\n" -- it will match the newlines correctly.
To search a single file, right-click the file and chose "Find In..." (it will behave like Find in Files, but limited to that one file)
Caveat: you can't use the multiline $/^ anchors in your regexp
Caveat: there's no workaround for using the Replace command with multiline regexps
The latest Brackets release 0.41 fixes both the caveats listed above -- though you'll still have to use the "Find In..." workaround (or "Replace In..." for Replace). We eventually plan to further improve this -- you can watch the full multiline search/replace item on our feature backlog for updates.

I've got the lastest version you can download, and I would really like to send feedback why I don't like the new Firefox (starting from the UI and the performances)

I take it that you have not tried sending feedback using the version of Firefox you posted this question on. You posted this question using Firefox 3.6.3 which is an old version of Firefox, the feedback system is for the Firefox 4 beta builds.
The current beta is Firefox 4 beta 11, with beta 12 due out soon. In the past the feedback system is temporarily turned off around the time a new version is due to be released, so if you are using beta 11 that may be the reason.
