AS/400 - point SQL to specific member

When creating a result set via SQL in a java application, what is the best way to point to specific table member? I don't want to issue an OVRDBF unless I have to.

You create an SQL alias, like this:Statement create = conn.createStatement();
create.executeUpdate("Create Alias MonSales For Sales(M20031020)");
create.close();where the member name is in the (parentheses). You can then do queries like
Select * from MonSales
using the alias name.

  • Problem while opening a link of a PDF that points to a specific page to another PDF

    PDF links whose URIs include backslashes are interpreted by Acrobat Reader browser plug-in as local file-system links even when they are not.  This means that a link that points to a specific page number will open the file but not automatically jump to the desired page .  In our browser-based viewing tool, this means that the links are perceived as not working.
    for example :  from IE Browser When we tried to open the link in PDF 1 which has the URL of the 5th section of PDF2 and the URL includes the backslashes then the Specific section of PDF2 is not getting opened . The link just opens the PDF2 first page. This Specific problem does not arrives if we try to open the link through Adobe Reader or if the URL mentioned in the PDF is formed using  forwordslashes instead of backslashes.

  • Unlock a specific member

    Using the work status settings, I would like to unlock a specific member in a hierarchy but leave the rest locked.
    Is this possible ? and how can I do that ?
    thank you

    Yes, unlocking a specific base member is possible, but you have to set each of the parent members up the tree to a corresponding (or lower) level of work state in order to be able to save data.  Take, for instance, the following example (and BPC standard delivered Work States):
    P1
    --P2
    C1
    C2
    --P3
    C3
    C4
    Assume that all are set to Locked to start.  In order to set C2 to Unlocked work state, you must set P2 and P1 to Unlocked work state first.  Alternatively, you could set C2 to Submitted and then P2 and P1 could be either Submitted or Unlocked.
    Let me know if this answers your question.

  • DHCP on 'hybrid' network - how to point clients to specific DHCP server

    Moving computers off of a private 'hybrid' network to a different private network.
    ISSUE: The clents will boot and ask for an IP from DHCP, problem is the 'hybrid' network runs a DHCP server with address range of 192.99.x.x  whereas the DHCP server we need to hit is on the 10.2.xx address range.  Is there a simple method to point
    clients to a specific DHCP server?
    Note: I have requested Network Srvcs to block UDP traffice on ports 67 and 68 for the address range of the 'hybrid' network.
    Users still need access to the hybrid.
    Please advise,
    Many Thanks in advance

    DHCP is rather a simple minded service. The client broadcasts out and the first guy responds. If you ahve two DHCP servers on the same subnet or wire, even if they have different IP addresses on that subnet, and they both have scopes corresponding to
    the IP address of their interface on that subnet/wire, then they will offer DHCP services. DHCP won't give out an IP on an interface that the scope doesn't match the subnet.
    For example, if I have a DHCP server with an IP of 10.200.1.200/24, and a scope of 10.200.1.100-150/24, then it will give out IPs on that interface. However, if that same DHCP server has an interface configured with 192.168.20.150, then DHCP will not give
    out IPs on an interface configured with 10.200.1.100, unless there is a Relay Agent or IP Helper from the router or switch VLAN that is connected to that subnet. You can test this out yourself.
    A separate VLAN for each subnet solves the problem because you are separating the two servers to hostg DHCP on their own, respective subnets.

    All,
    I am trying to create the following scenario, please make some suggestions:
    I am trying to a make a number of specific columns read-only in data forms for only 4 of the periods. E.g. March, Jun, Sep and Dec. I understand I can't set provisions to users to only allow access to certain cells in shared services.
    Please see a screen shot of what I am trying to achieve.

    HI thr,
    First of all I want to tell you that, i was unable to look into your link coz I dont have the permission to access that page (Organization WebSense Blocked tht).
    I belive there are two ways in which u can achieve the same:
    1) Make a new version for this and restrtict the version for a particular period,
    2) Add a column first, in column layout and then add member one by one by clicking on add members and then u can make it read only.
    Hope this helps up to some extant.

  • Need to point Printer to specific tray

    Dear All,
    We have a printer with Tray 1 and Tray 2. I would like to print Labels through Tray 1 and paper print outs through Tray 2.
    So what i have created separate output devices in SAP and OS level as well like below
    SPAD -Label printer ( settings in output attribute Tray1 ) pointing to OS level PrinterL --> IP
    SPAD -Paper printer ( Tray 2 ) poiting to OS level PrinterP --> IP
    Where as both the IP are same. Just the trays are different in the same printer.
    But it seems to be not working. Could anyone have any idea to fix ? Please advice me.
    Thanks in advance
    Raj

    Hi Raj,
    We would need further details to say exactly but this should be possible.
    The commands to print to a specific tray should be available in your printers user guides.
    What exact printer model are you using?
    What device type?
    What access method?
    The printer defined in SPAD showed have a tray selection under the attributes tab.
    The following is a breakdown of setting the tray selection in SAP,
    which is handled differently for Smartforms, SAPSCRIPT forms and ABAP
    lists.
    The following attached Note explains how the tray selection is set for
    Smartforms:
    189618 - Paper tray and print mode for Smart Forms
    For each page of the form, the paper resource can be specified within
    the form from transaction smartforms.
    eg: /nsmartforms -> <Form Name> -> Change -> FIRST First Page
                      -> Resource Name -> eg: 'TRY02'
    For SAPScript, the tray is specified in the layout set of the form in
    transaction SE71 as per the following attached Note:
    42565  - Select paper feed when printing SAPscript in 3.0x
    Again you need to to specify the tray in in form:
    se71 -> <Form Name> -> Pages -> Print Attributes -> Resource Name
           -> Enter TRY01, TRY02, TRY03 or TRY04 here
    Note #42565 also explains how to  test the paper tray selection by
    printing out the standard text SAPSCRIPT-TRAYTEST (supplied in German
    and English in client 000) using standard text maintenance (transaction
    SO10). This test will verify your device type/printer combination for
    Sapscript.
    The tray settings in transaction SPAD have no influence when printing
    a SAPSCRIPT form. Also with ABAP lists and Smartform, the SPAD settings
    are only effective if you use one of the special list drivers described
    Note #143375.

  • How can i point to a specific field in DEEP structure and populate it?

    Hello,
    I have declared a internal table as below,
    DATA: BEGIN OF wa_data,
                  vkorg TYPE vkorg
                  vtweg TYPE vtweg
                  spartTYPE spart
                  field_name TYPE CHAR30

                lt_data TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF wa_data.
    The lt_data is populated as below,
    VKORG-------VTWEG-------SPART-------FIELD_NAME-------VALUE
    1000-----------10-------------01------------KALKS---------------ZP00 "Pricing procedure
    1000-----------10-------------01------------ZTERM---------------15 days "Payment terms
    1000-----------10-------------01------------MAHNA---------------09 "Dunning
    Fine.
    Now, i have a DEEP DEEP DEEP structure as belowm
    DATA: ls_deep TYPE cmds_ei_extern. "Pls. see this deep structure 'cmds_ei_extern' in SAP DDIC / SE11
    This deep structure is part of Customer master creation. Now, i would like to POPULATE this deep structure from my lt_data itab DYNAMICALLy, i mean, with out mentioning the field names (like, ZTERM, KALKS, MAHNA etc etc), bcz its these i am pulling this lt_data from a custom table, so going further business may also ADD a new record / field like BUSAB (Accouting clerk) with a value of AL (Allen Christi), hence i want to hv dynamic and its less tediuos also bcz,
    We can LOOP lt_data INTO ls_data (for example, the ls_data-field_name = KALKS)
    Now, point the KALKS in the deep deep deep structure and populate it with a value of ls_data-value (= 15 days)
    ENDLLOOP.
    Pls. let me know How can i do this, i guess, we need to use field symbols, pls. let me know the code to achieve my requirement
    Thank you

    Hi,
    Please refer below code.This will populate field kunnr of the deep structure. Once you select the data as per your requirement,you can write similar code to populate rest of the fields in the deep strucure.
    TYPES : BEGIN OF ty_data,
                 kunnr TYPE kunnr,
                 END OF ty_data.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS : <lfs_cmds_ei_header>   TYPE cmds_ei_header,

                 lt_data                       TYPE STANDARD TABLE of ty_data ,
                 wa_data                   TYPE ty_data.
      SELECT kunnr

      UP TO 1 ROWS
      INTO TABLE lt_data.
      IF sy-subrc = 0.

  • How to distinguish the specific member alias in HP outline?

    Because they use different calculation scripts, I need to recognize the member alias with two
    different suffix:"-new" and "-old" in the same dimension. However, the @MATCH function could not meet
    my requirement, because I need substitute ANY NUMBER of characters at the BEGINNING of the pattern.
    Could any other function satisfy my requirement?
    ps: here is the syntax of @MATCH which couldn't match my need.
    @MATCH (mbrName|genName|levName, "pattern")
    "pattern"
    The character pattern to search for, including a wildcard character (* or ?).
    ? substitutes one occurrence of any character. You can use ? anywhere in the pattern.
    * substitutes any number of characters. You can use * only at the end of the pattern.
    To include spaces in the character pattern, enclose the pattern in double quotation marks ("").

    UDA is the solution we are considering.
    we also considered about using Share member to construct a virtual hierarchy.
    Is there any function which could directly slove this problem?

  • Typo in unld_rpts.sql (Unloading specific Report Parameter data)

    FYI: Headstart Designer 6i - Revision 6.5.1.10
    There is a typo (in our version anyway) in the unld_rpts.sql script for those of you who use unld_rpts.sql (found in [HSD65_HOME]\hst\scripts).
    Problem:
    in the two "select into ..." (qms_modules, also qms_mde_params)
    there is a line:
    ' , created_by', creation_date ||CHR(10)||
    this should be:
    ' , created_by, creation_date' ||CHR(10)||
    Note that the quote should be after creation_date and not created_by.

    Thanks for the information. I have logged this as a bug against Headstart.

  • Limiting access points joining a specific WLC

    Hello Cisco Forum Team!
      I am currently installing a new WLC in a VLAN/IP segment that already has WLCs configured and access points registered. I do not want existing ap's on this VLAN to join this new WLC.  Which is the best way to limit ap's joining this new WLC?
    I am thinking of some sort of AP authorization list but by IP address instead of MAC address due to the high amount of ap's currently registred on the existing WLCs (approx. 300 ap's).
    Thanks in advanced for your support!

    AP authorization list would work but you have to use MAC address & cannot use IP address for that. Once you enable AP authorization you can add AP mac to the list like below using CLI.
    (5508-1) >config auth-list add mic <AP1 mac>
    (5508-1) >config auth-list add mic <AP2 mac>
    (5508-1) >config auth-list add mic <APn mac>

  • Can anyone tell me if this error report information points to something specific wrong with my MacBook Pro?

    Hi All,
    I pasted the error report info below that the most recent error brought up. My MacBook Pro will, on occasion, freeze up on me and usually turn the monitor completely black. This also happens occasionally when trying to boot up from a Standby mode, the system just never recovers and the monitor stays black. A couple times the monitor has stayed up displaying the last screen before the freeze and the system will just be frozen. The keyboard stays lit up however. I end up having to hard power down the laptop (by holding the power button for 4 seconds) and booting it back up.
    I'm assuming it's a hardware issue, if the below info has any indicators as to what might actually be the problem it would be greatly appreciated if you could share that with me =)
    Thanks!

  • Global Variables across sessions in PL/SQL package Specification

    Hi,
    Is there a way I can share a variable value across sessions that doesnot affect by Commit/rollback.
    The value would be set by one session and is visible across sessions, until it is set to another value by another/same session, and the new value is visible across.

    V$Session is not granted to the user executing this. So, had to go with the context. Finally could resolve with the following code.
    Run by DBA
    create or replace context ctx1 using USER_procowner.pkg_global accessed globally;
    grant execute on dbms_session to USER_procowner;
    Run by user_procowner
    create or replace package user_procowner.pkg_global AS
    procedure set_lock(in_val IN VARCHAR2);
    Function get_lock RETURN VARCHAR2;
    end pkg_global;
    create or replace package body user_procowner.pkg_global AS
    procedure set_lock(in_val IN VARCHAR2) IS
    begin
    dbms_session.set_context('ctx1','var1',in_val);
    end;
    Function get_lock RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
    begin
    return (Sys_context('ctx1','var1'));
    end;
    end pkg_global;
    grant execute on pkg_global to user_procuser;
    exec user_procowner.pkg_global.set_lock('Y')
    select user_procowner.pkg_global.get_lock Lock from dual;
    LOCK
    Y
    exec user_procowner.pkg_global.set_lock('N')
    select user_procowner.pkg_global.get_lock Lock from dual;
    LOCK
    N
    The current value of var1 is visible across sessions using user_procowner.pkg_global.get_lock.

  • Getting a printed QR code to point to a specific page within my mobile site?

    Hi All,
    I'm createing a printed marketing campaign for my business and I want to direct a QR code to a page within my mobile muse site (not the home page).
    I can change the url of the QR code but I'm unsure what the url path should be?
    The page is called QR, so I thought that www.wearebrightlights.com/QR would work but I get a 404 error.
    Here are the pages below. The QR code should link to the red page on the right, called QR.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Ben

    That file will process a form that is submitted.  If your contact page uses that file then the filename should appear somewhere in the contact page code.

  • Script to find users that are a member of more than one of a list of specific groups

    Hi,
    I need to generate a list of users that are members in more than one group, out of a list of specific security groups.  Here's the situation:
    1) We have about 1100 users, all nested under a specific OU called CompanyUsers.  There are sub-OUs under CompanyUsers that users may actually be in.
    2) We have about 75 groups, all directly under a specific OU called AppGroups.  These groups correspond to a user's role within an internal line of business application.  All these groups start with a specific character prefix "xyz", so the group
    name is actually "xyz-approle".
    I want to write a script that tells me if a user from point 1) is a member in more than one group in point 2).  So far, I've come up with a way to enumerate the users to an array:
    $userlist = get-qaduser -searchroot 'dq.ad/dqusers/doral/remote' | select samaccountname |Format-Table -HideTableHeaders
    I also have a way to enumerate all the groups that start with xyz that the user is a member of:
    get-QADMemberOf -identity <username> -name xyz* -Indirect
    I figure I can use the first code line to start a foreach loop that uses the 2nd code line, outputting to CSV format for easy to see manual verification.  But I'm having two problems:
    1) How to get the output to a CSV file in the format <username>,groupa,groupb,etc.
    2) Is there any easier way to do this, say just outputting the users in more than one group?
    Any help/ideas are welcome.
    Thanks in advance!
    John

    Here is a PowerShell script solution. I can't think of way to make this more efficient. You could search for all groups in the specfied OU that start with "xyz", then filter on all users that are members of at least one of these groups. However, I suspect
    that most (if not all) users in the OU are members of at least one such group, and there is no way to filter on users that are members of more than one. This solution returns all users and their direct group memberships, then checks each membership to
    see if it meets the conditions. It outputs the DN of any user that is a member of more than one specfied group:
    # Search CompanyUsers OU.
    strUsersOU = "ou=CompanyUsers,ou=West,dc=MyDomain,dc=com"
    $UsersOU = New-Object System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry $strUsersOU
    # Use the DirectorySearcher class.
    $Searcher = New-Object System.DirectoryServices.DirectorySearcher
    $Searcher.SearchRoot = $UsersOU
    $Searcher.PageSize = 200
    $Searcher.SearchScope = "subtree"
    $Searcher.PropertiesToLoad.Add("distinguishedName") > $Null
    $Searcher.PropertiesToLoad.Add("memberOf") > $Null
    # Filter on all users in the base.
    $Searcher.Filter = "(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user))"
    $Results = $Searcher.FindAll()
    # Enumerate users.
    "Users that are members of more than one specified group:"
    ForEach ($User In $Results)
        $UserDN = $User.properties.Item("distinguishedName")
        $Groups = $User.properties.Item("memberOf")
        # Consider users that are members of at least 2 groups.
        If ($Groups.Count -gt 1)
            # Count number of group memberships.
            $Count = 0
            ForEach ($Group In $Groups)
                # Check if group Common Name starts with the string "xyz".
                If ($Group.StartsWith("cn=xyz"))
                    # Make sure group is in specified OU.
                    If ($Group.Contains(",ou=AppsGroup,"))
                        $Count = $Count +1
                        If ($Count -gt 1)
                            # Output users that are members of more than one specified group.
                            $DN
                            # Break out of the ForEach loop.
                            Break

  • [BPC 10] Member/property specific formatting

    Hi,
    I am trying to use specific member/property formatting in an input form in BPC 10. My account dimension has a property called format and I have used 3 different indicators, T,R and P.
    In my input form I have activated the EPMFormattingSheet and under the dimension member/property formatting I have activated column formatting on specific member/property.
    If I add one rule on my account dimension (such as FORMAT = P) the formatting is applied. However, I would like to have two different formats, once for FORMAT = R and one for FORMAT = P.
    However, irrespective of the order, the second format is ignored.
    Does anyone know how I can get two such formats working?
    Thanks,
    Arnold

    Apparently property formatting only works for one member per property ...
