  • Launch ASCP plan run very long time

    Hi,
I launched constrained ASCP plan and it took very long time. I launch ASCP plan in friday and it still not finished yet till monday, Memory Based Shapshot & Snapshot Delete Worker are still running, Loader Worker With Direct Load Option is still in pending phase. MSC: Share Plan Partitions has been set to Yes.
When I run query below :
    select table_name,
           partition_name
    from   all_tab_partitions
    where  table_name like 'MSC_NET_RES_INST%'
    OR     table_name like 'MSC_SYSTEM_ITEMS%'
    order by substr(partition_name,instr(partition_name,'_',-1,1)+1);
    The results are:
    MSC_SYSTEM_ITEMS
    SYSTEM_ITEMS_0
    MSC_NET_RES_INST_AVAIL
    NET_RES_INST_AVAIL_0
    MSC_SYSTEM_ITEMS
    SYSTEM_ITEMS_1
    MSC_SYSTEM_ITEMS
    SYSTEM_ITEMS__21
    MSC_NET_RES_INST_AVAIL
    NET_RES_INST_AVAIL__21
    MSC_NET_RES_INST_AVAIL
    NET_RES_INST_AVAIL_999999
    MSC_SYSTEM_ITEMS
    SYSTEM_ITEMS_999999
Please help me how to increase the performance when launching the plan. Is change MSC: Share Plan Partitions to No the only way to increase the performance in running plan?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Yolanda

    Hi Yolanda,
    a) So does it means that plan was working fine earlier but you are facing this issue recently.. ? If so then what you have changed at server side or have you applied any recent patches.. ?
    b) If you have not completed plan for single time,
I will suggest that run data collection in complete refresh mode for one organization which is having relatively small data. Further, you can modify plan options in order to reduce planning calculation load like
    - disable pegging
    - remove any demand schedule / supply schedule / global forecast etc
    - enable only single organization which having relatively small demand and supply picture
    - disable forecast spread
Once one plan run will be completed, then expand your collection scope to other organizations and also enabling above mentioned setting.
There are lots of points need to consider for performance issue like server configuration, hardware configuration,  num of demands etc. So you can raise SR in parallel while working on above points.
    Thanks,
    D

  • ASN not netting against PO in ASCP plan

    Hello!
I am loading Advanced Shipment Notices (ASN) from supplier directly into planning instance using the "Load Transaction Data using Self Service Loads" concurrent program. The ASN is referencing the PO number that it is shipped against. However, when I run the ASCP plan, the ASN is seen as "In Transit" supply on top of the PO quantity. I expected that the plan should not consider ASN as additional supply, but should be netted off against the PO quantity. Appreciate any pointers on how to make this work correctly.
    Cheers!

    Hi
Based on your comment about the order number, it seems that you're trying to look for sales orders which were scheduled using ATP/ GOP after last ASCP plan run. You may either be using ATP based on collected data or some of these items aren't included in your plan thereby forcing ATP to use ODS/ Collected data to promise/ schedule these sales orders.
When ATP/ GOP promises these sales orders using collected data, you'll see them dynamically inserted in ODS data (msc_sales_orders) and order number will show up as "258945" but after next collections, same sales order record is replaced by collected version with SO# as "258945.USA Sales Order.ORDER ENTRY(6.2)".
Here are possible ways to validate/ resolve this issue:
    1. If you use "ATP/CTP based on Planning Data", these SO will be inserted dynamically in ASCP Plan and will be visible in ASCP workbench in Pink/ Magenta color though no pegging will be available until next plan run. You'll find these orders will have a record_source value as '1'
    2. If you use "ATP based on Collected Data", these SO will be included in the ASCP plan in next collections/ ASCP Plan run and same must be happening now as long as these items are included in the plan based on your plan options setting. Please note that ASCP Plan is a statis information as of the time of plan run and any SO scheduled after ASCP plan run won't be included until next plan run.
Hope this clarifies the concern and you'll be able to validate the scenario in your case. For any further concerns, please contact me directly and I'll be glad to help you.
    Thanks

  • Export large ASCP plan data to excel

    Hi,
We have a need to export plan results from ASCP Plan to excel. Export option takes too long. I would like to know if there is an alternate method in Oracle EBS R12.1 ASCP to get the results of Plan in excel or similar format.
    Thanks,
    Ash

If you are exporting a substantial number of records to excel the best option id to use CSV format and then process the generated CSV file with excel.
Exporting directly to excel format works well with small amounts of data, but with a large number of records system memory becomes an issue.
If you feel the need to export directly into excel format you can try to increase the maximum memory allocated to SQLDeveloper by adding something like the following
AddVMOption -Xmx1024Mto the sqldeveloper.conf file usually located in
[SQLDEveloper_install_dir]\sqldeveloper\binadjust the number as you see fit, but bear in mind that there have been issues reported while meddling with this parameter.
The default value for the parameter is stored in the ide.conf file usually located in
    [SQLDEveloper_install_dir]\ide\bin

  • Collected ATO Model & items with sales orders and forcast not in ASCP plan

PTO/ATO/ATP challenged - need some help understanding this and how it should work or if it can work.
On 11.5.10.2, a customer wants to see the ATO model and options in the ASCP plan
when the ATO configuration item is not created in the Sales Order.
Using the BOMN example below level 2 - ATO item and level 4 - Marketing Code (Forecast at this level)
    ALTIX-4700-PTO-Z level 1 PTO Model
    ALTIX-4700-ATO-Z level 2 ATO model
    --ALTIX4700-SYS-Z        level 3
    LST-IRU-Z level 4 Ordered item
    LST-4700-WC-Z level 4 Ordered item
    LST-IRU-WC-SRACK-Z level 4 Ordered item
They are not seeing level 4 items in the plan even though they have Sales Order Demand and forecast at this level.
They see the items in the collection workbench, but they are missing in the ASCP plan.
    Any ideas will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • INACTIVE Items in ASCP plan

    Hi,
We are having a problem with Items with Inactive status code in source instance showing up in ASCP plan.
Any idea what flags on items that Collection program will check during data pull?
    Thanks
    Sudhakar

    Sudhakar,
It seems you have defined an inventory status of "Inactive" that maps to certain key attributes in oracle inventory. ASCP data collection does not key off user defined status names, but you can setup the system so that the key ASCP data collection attributes become disabled for 'inactive items'.
From memory, data collection keys off of at least three planning attributes to determine whether an item should be collected:
    1. MRP Planning method = Any value except 'not planned'
    2. ATP attribute = If it's needed for atp, its collected.
There is a third attribute, but I don't quite remember and would need to look at the code. I believe it may be the forecast control attribute which would determine if it could be forecasted.
Try deselecting the values above and the item should not be collected.

  • "CLOSED": HOW TO LOAD FIRM PLANNED ORDERS OF ANOTHER PLAN INTO ASCP PLAN?

    Hi everybody,
How to load firm planned orders of plan 1 into plan 2?
    Business Case:
Customer uses a separate planning for order intake. During order intake the requested due date is validated based on ASCP Gantt Chart. Bottlenecks are resolved. For make items firm discrete jobs are created, if adjusted suggested due dates are manually changed. For buy items firm planned orders are created for manually changed suggested due dates.
If the order is accepted the demand is transferred from the Order Intake MDS into the so called Operational MDS. The firm discrete job will be automatically visible in the operational ASCP Plan (after data collection/running ASCP Plan).
But how is it possible to include ONLY firm planned orders of another plan into your current plan?
    PLAN1 asigned master demand schedules
    - O_MDS1
    - O_MDS2
    PLAN2 assigned master demand schedules
    - O_MDS1
    - O_MDS2
    - T_MDS
I want to transfer the firm planned orders from plan2 to plan1.
    Thanks for all your inputs,
    Catalina

Since you need to run a data collection to load the new discrete job, I suggest you to add a custom step in the data collection.
    This custom step will
    1) select all firmed planned order in plan 2
    2) put the firm planned order into a new schedule through staging tables (MST_ST_SUPPLIES) .
    3) collect the data
Then run plan1 with this schedule defined as demand schedule for your new plan.

  • ASCP Plan Is Not Able To Read Global Forecast For Options Published By Demantra

ASCP plan is not able to read global forecast for options published by Demantra
ASCP plan is not able to read global forecast for options published by Demantra. Only Model Forecast is being read into ASCP plan.
    1) We are publishing global forecast from Demantra at CTO/Zone/Week level and it is getting published properly to ASCP denorm table.
2)There is no forecast explosion being done in ascp (plan option explode forecast is not checked)
3)The sourcing rule is set at zone level for the model saying source from an organization (org code 11)
    4) The profile: msc:-Organization containing generic BOM for global forecasting is set to 22 which is a reference org
    5) Now when we run the plan the model forecast goes to org 11  but the option forecasts do not go properly
    6) We have just one line created for the option (production forecast) with a wrong quantity
    7) Demantra has forecasts for both Model and options

Looking at the error message "The Network Adapter could not establish the connection" , It appears hostname and port may be incorrect. Review the targets.xml under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\emd and
emoms.properties under E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\SAP_solman_SDB\config folder to make sure host ( sap_solman) and port (1527) are correct.
As far as setting the environment variables goes, you can go to control panel -> system -> advanced -> environment variables and set the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID

  • Sourcing rule in constrained ascp plans

    hi !
in an unconstrained ascp plan the planned order split for purchased items happens as per the sourcing rules defined however in the constrained plan when the constraints are not defined for the supplier the planned order split does not follow the sourcing rules.
what is the cause of the same
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
set the maximum order qty for org 101 to '0'
make sure to tick the 'use alternate source' option from the plan options

  • Can the inventory orgs of OU2 be used in the OU1 in teh ASCP plan...

    Hello Gurus,
I defined an ASCP plan in one of the operating units OU1 and i have used all the inventory organizations for that ASCP plan which is definde in the OU1.
There is an aonther Operating Unit OU2 where in some inventory orgs cater products to OU1.............
Can i use the inventory organization of the OU2 to be used in the ASCP plan that i have defined in the OU1
Please help me in clarifying this doubt at the earliest

ASCP does not care about OU's. It only looks at inventory organizations.
enable the org for collections in the ASCP instances form and set org access for the responsibility used in the organization security form (Adv Planning Administrator)

  • Planned issue

    Hi,
We are usig REM scenario. We require a report which shows the actual issues & planned issues for the components & the variance. Actual issues ca be obtained from table MSEG through movement types. How to get planned issues considering that a component may be used in many BOM's.
    Matter very critical.
    regards,
    Mohit Goyal

    Thanks Srikanth for promp reply.
But i am not looking for PIR data. I need standard issues of the component as per the BOM.
For example a component is used in 5 BOM's. Now corresponding to actual issue of the component , planned/standard issue is required for the component. This way we can further calculate the variance.
    Hopefully the requirement is clear.

  • ASCP Planned orders in period buckets (Weekly or Monthly)

    Hi,
We see that the ASCP planned order due dates are pushed to friday of week (if in weekly buckets) or last friday of the month (if in Monthly buckets).
What is causing this behaviour? Is there any profile option/plan option cuasing this to happen.
Any help in regard is most appreciated.
    Regards,
    Anand

    Hi Guru,
    1) Please check the maximum earliness & lateness of a receipt under Pegging in Demand tab of APO material master is defined.
    2) In SNP2 tab, check the period split whether the data is blank.  If it is 2, the planning data will get disagregated and released from middle of bucket.

  • How to make new item show in ASCP Plan workbench.

Item ATT.BVL3AHY is a new item without any demand. At item master, it is set as Planned so it is collected by ASCP. The item can be found in msc.msc_system_items with Plan_id -1. Plan id -1 corresponds to Collection. Planner needs to manuallty add planned order for this item at ASCP workbench of plan WIRELINE (PLAN_ID 3002) as attached but as the item cannot be found in WIRELINE plan, planner cannot add it. Please let me know how to make this item show in WIRELINE Plan workbench.

    Run this query:
    select mrp_planning_code from msc_system_items where item_name like '<Item_Name>' and organization_id = <Org id> and plan_id = -1
If this returns 7 you dont need to run any collections.
If this returns other than 7 then,
create a simulation set under Item Attributes Mass Maintenance and then update the attribute MRP Planning method for this item to MRP/MPP Planning. Assign Simulation set to plan name and then rerun the plan. It should work.
If you are still facing an issue, then raise an SR with Oracle.

  • ATP Based on ASCP Planned data - how to exclude Subiventory

We are moving from ATP based on ASCP collected data to ATP based on planned data.
In our major warehouses, we have subinventory 'DOCK' , it is not checked ( not enabled) to Include in ATP, but it is flagged ( enabled ) as Nettable subinventory.
In ATP based on collected data, the on hand balance for this subinventory was not included.
But ATP based on planned data includes on hand balance in this subinventory. This is issue because warehouse takes processing time to bring from DOCK subinventory to warehouse FG subinventory and ATP gives immediately available to customer which in actual is available to customer after two days.
We can not change this subinventory as non-netable then ASCP advises more to bring more supply.
    Please advise/help.

    Hi Mahesh
I'm not convinced with your assumption and Sandeep's suggestion of adding 2 days of post-processing LT.
You'll notice even ASCP considers this invenotry available right now without any delay unless it shows as 'In Receiving" and not On-Hand. if this shows "In Recieving, even ATP will consider the same due date as suggested by plan.
There are a few options to model this additonal time but each requires some additional maintenance. You'll require an extra level of supply chain bill where you model this inventory one level below final level. This can either be achieved by modelling this as a component while adding a new level in the bill as FG.
Another option may be to default your request date at least today + 2 days thereby making sure ATP never returns today's date. Please note this is more like an honor system as order entry person may override it and can be handled via user training. Again this will work if you always need 2 days before an order can be shipped. If you've a mixed mode scenario where some inventory may be shippable right now, you may be out of luck here.
There are a few more options that may be possible but will require little more one-on-one discussion.
    Thanks
