INACTIVE Items in ASCP plan

Hi,
We are having a problem with Items with Inactive status code in source instance showing up in ASCP plan.
Any idea what flags on items that Collection program will check during data pull?
Thanks
Sudhakar

Sudhakar,
It seems you have defined an inventory status of "Inactive" that maps to certain key attributes in oracle inventory. ASCP data collection does not key off user defined status names, but you can setup the system so that the key ASCP data collection attributes become disabled for 'inactive items'.
From memory, data collection keys off of at least three planning attributes to determine whether an item should be collected:
1. MRP Planning method = Any value except 'not planned'
2. ATP attribute = If it's needed for atp, its collected.
There is a third attribute, but I don't quite remember and would need to look at the code. I believe it may be the forecast control attribute which would determine if it could be forecasted.
Try deselecting the values above and the item should not be collected.
Regards,
Kevin

  • Collected ATO Model & items with sales orders and forcast not in ASCP plan

PTO/ATO/ATP challenged - need some help understanding this and how it should work or if it can work.
On 11.5.10.2, a customer wants to see the ATO model and options in the ASCP plan
when the ATO configuration item is not created in the Sales Order.
Using the BOMN example below level 2 - ATO item and level 4 - Marketing Code (Forecast at this level)
    ALTIX-4700-PTO-Z level 1 PTO Model
    ALTIX-4700-ATO-Z level 2 ATO model
    --ALTIX4700-SYS-Z        level 3
    LST-IRU-Z level 4 Ordered item
    LST-4700-WC-Z level 4 Ordered item
    LST-IRU-WC-SRACK-Z level 4 Ordered item
They are not seeing level 4 items in the plan even though they have Sales Order Demand and forecast at this level.
They see the items in the collection workbench, but they are missing in the ASCP plan.
    Any ideas will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Are you able to book an order on sales order work bench with same configuartion?

  • How to make new item show in ASCP Plan workbench.

Item ATT.BVL3AHY is a new item without any demand. At item master, it is set as Planned so it is collected by ASCP. The item can be found in msc.msc_system_items with Plan_id -1. Plan id -1 corresponds to Collection. Planner needs to manuallty add planned order for this item at ASCP workbench of plan WIRELINE (PLAN_ID 3002) as attached but as the item cannot be found in WIRELINE plan, planner cannot add it. Please let me know how to make this item show in WIRELINE Plan workbench.

    Run this query:
    select mrp_planning_code from msc_system_items where item_name like '<Item_Name>' and organization_id = <Org id> and plan_id = -1
If this returns 7 you dont need to run any collections.
If this returns other than 7 then,
create a simulation set under Item Attributes Mass Maintenance and then update the attribute MRP Planning method for this item to MRP/MPP Planning. Assign Simulation set to plan name and then rerun the plan. It should work.
If you are still facing an issue, then raise an SR with Oracle.

  • "CLOSED": HOW TO LOAD FIRM PLANNED ORDERS OF ANOTHER PLAN INTO ASCP PLAN?

    Hi everybody,
How to load firm planned orders of plan 1 into plan 2?
    Business Case:
Customer uses a separate planning for order intake. During order intake the requested due date is validated based on ASCP Gantt Chart. Bottlenecks are resolved. For make items firm discrete jobs are created, if adjusted suggested due dates are manually changed. For buy items firm planned orders are created for manually changed suggested due dates.
If the order is accepted the demand is transferred from the Order Intake MDS into the so called Operational MDS. The firm discrete job will be automatically visible in the operational ASCP Plan (after data collection/running ASCP Plan).
But how is it possible to include ONLY firm planned orders of another plan into your current plan?
    PLAN1 asigned master demand schedules
    - O_MDS1
    - O_MDS2
    PLAN2 assigned master demand schedules
    - O_MDS1
    - O_MDS2
    - T_MDS
I want to transfer the firm planned orders from plan2 to plan1.
    Thanks for all your inputs,
    Catalina

Since you need to run a data collection to load the new discrete job, I suggest you to add a custom step in the data collection.
    This custom step will
    1) select all firmed planned order in plan 2
    2) put the firm planned order into a new schedule through staging tables (MST_ST_SUPPLIES) .
    3) collect the data
Then run plan1 with this schedule defined as demand schedule for your new plan.

  • ASN not netting against PO in ASCP plan

    Hello!
I am loading Advanced Shipment Notices (ASN) from supplier directly into planning instance using the "Load Transaction Data using Self Service Loads" concurrent program. The ASN is referencing the PO number that it is shipped against. However, when I run the ASCP plan, the ASN is seen as "In Transit" supply on top of the PO quantity. I expected that the plan should not consider ASN as additional supply, but should be netted off against the PO quantity. Appreciate any pointers on how to make this work correctly.
    Cheers!

    Hi
Based on your comment about the order number, it seems that you're trying to look for sales orders which were scheduled using ATP/ GOP after last ASCP plan run. You may either be using ATP based on collected data or some of these items aren't included in your plan thereby forcing ATP to use ODS/ Collected data to promise/ schedule these sales orders.
When ATP/ GOP promises these sales orders using collected data, you'll see them dynamically inserted in ODS data (msc_sales_orders) and order number will show up as "258945" but after next collections, same sales order record is replaced by collected version with SO# as "258945.USA Sales Order.ORDER ENTRY(6.2)".
Here are possible ways to validate/ resolve this issue:
    1. If you use "ATP/CTP based on Planning Data", these SO will be inserted dynamically in ASCP Plan and will be visible in ASCP workbench in Pink/ Magenta color though no pegging will be available until next plan run. You'll find these orders will have a record_source value as '1'
    2. If you use "ATP based on Collected Data", these SO will be included in the ASCP plan in next collections/ ASCP Plan run and same must be happening now as long as these items are included in the plan based on your plan options setting. Please note that ASCP Plan is a statis information as of the time of plan run and any SO scheduled after ASCP plan run won't be included until next plan run.
Hope this clarifies the concern and you'll be able to validate the scenario in your case. For any further concerns, please contact me directly and I'll be glad to help you.

  • Sourcing rule in constrained ascp plans

    hi !
in an unconstrained ascp plan the planned order split for purchased items happens as per the sourcing rules defined however in the constrained plan when the constraints are not defined for the supplier the planned order split does not follow the sourcing rules.
what is the cause of the same

    Hi,
set the maximum order qty for org 101 to '0'

  • Inactive Items Report - SAP 9

    Hello experts,
I am having an issue with the Inactive Items report in SAP 9 and I'm wondering if anyone else is. This is a system report and as such I do not expect it to have any bugs. What happens is the following:
I enter a range of item codes and a date of 03/01/2009 for all the documents and I get many items that are indeed in these marketing documents (therefore ACTIVE). I read the help for what this report is supposed to do and its supposed to return items that have had no activity in documents from the date specified (not whether they are marked 'Active' or 'Inactive' in their respective item master records.)
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a setting I have to modify in order for the report to behave as expected? Please advise! Thank you very much!

    Hi Cynthia Besada,
the report is meant to identify items that have not been entered on these documents:
    Sales Quotations
    Sales Orders
    Deliveries
    AR Invoices
    AR Downpayment Invoices
from the date you specify. Even items with zero quanity in the document rows are considered as 'used' in a document & should not appear. If your report output shows items that are found on documents since the date, then there is something wrong & you ought to record a support incident.
    All the best,
    Kerstin

  • Inactive Items Report mising cost information

The Inactive Items Report which is found under Inventory / Inventory Reports / Inactive Items does not provide the option to display average cost and total cost on the report. This is very useful information for financial managers trying to determine the value of slow moving or obsolete items.
It would be extremely useful to have the option to add cost information...perhaps by selected price lists...to make this a more valuable information tool for financial managers.
Is there a report option which would display this information?
Note that price lists (average cost) may be different by location. Therefore, the report also needs to show inactive items by location, not only in total.

I am not sure why on one hand you indicate that it is not that difficult to write the report for ourselves, yet say that there are too many variables. These seem to be contradictory statements.
It seems that since this would be of common benefit to nearly all SAP B1 customers, SAP would want to add it as a future release level report.
I understand that there are cost variables, but why couldn't there be a pull down menu to select the price table such as with the Inventory In Warehouse Report? In that report, the user is given the option to assign the desired price source.
Again, it seems as if this would be of common benefit and is worthy of SAP resources.
    Best regards,

  • Cycle Counting - Inactive Items

    Hi,
The Inactive items are appearing in the cycle count. Is this the intended functionality of the Oracle?
Also please let me know how to make sure that Inactive items dont appear on the cycle counts.
    Thanks in advance.
    RA

Deleting data from open interface will not stop the cycle count requests showing the items..
The CC requests will stop getting created for the items only when you DELETE the item form the CC.
Follow the below navigation and delete the item's
    INV Super User>>Counting>>Cycle Counting>>Cycle Counts>>Your CC NAme>>Open>>Items>>Query ur Inactive Item>>Delete
After you do this for all your inactive items there should not be any new requests to do CC for these items

  • Hide inactive items and customers

Is there a way to hide inactive items and customers in SAP Business One 8.8.  I dont want to show inactive items when we are searching for the items if we dont know the sku.  I simply want to hide them from search.  The same applies to customers.  I know there is an archive feature in B1 8.8 but its only for transaction data to archive.  Any ideas anyone.
    Thank you.

    Hi Russel,
In Administration - System Initialisation - General Settings - BP Tab
De - activate DISPLAY INACTIVE BUSINESS PARTNERS IN REPORTS
In Administration - System Initialisation - General Settings - INVENTORY Tab
De - activate DISPLAY INACTIVE ITEMS FROM REPORTS.
I tried this in marketing related docs.
This will restrict inactive master entries from appearing in reports and in transaction screens.
But you can not restrict them in masters.
    Thanks

  • Inactive Items in Organizations and item master

I suppose user cannot select for those Inactive items in POs. But actually it does.
    Does anyone know why?
    Thanks,
    Amy

    Hi Amy,
I have tested this at my end after removing org assignment for some items.. When I tried to create PO, it didn't allow me to include these Items in the PO line as these items are no more belongs to this organization..so this proves Items are not getting picked for the PO which is not assigned..
What do you mean by *"So, even I marked the item is inactive.... it still let user enter in POs."..* Have you done the org assignment detachment properly.. could you please elaborate littel bit.. Let me know how you inactivate the Items...
Say your master org is : MAS and Item is : XYZ and this Item is assigned to Org : ABC..
what you have to do is : Go to master Item option --> Select Organization as "ABC" --> Query on Item (XYZ) --> Click on Org Assignment Tab. --> now your Org ABC will apear at the top of the list --> Uncheck the Assigned check box.. Now create a new PO.. try to include Item # XYZ.. Let me know if you are able to create a PO with this item "XYZ" in it's line..
Please confirm if you have already done this exercise and still getting error?
