Asha 201 chat app problem

Please i cant no more access or open the Nokia chat application for ovi, Facebook and so on.
Anyway i also want to know if you can help me with an alternative option

Have you tried browsing the web? If yes, re-installing the applications (those that are not working/opening) that you downloaded from Nokia Store is what I can suggest. If the applications came pre-installed, you can try re-installing the software of the phone using Nokia Suite.
Download it from here: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/nokia-suite

    Hi Akaa,
You can try to perform the steps given on this thread: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Cseries/conflicting-applications/m-p/1588808#M37372. Even though the issue is not specifically about the Mail app, it has the same error message.

  • Asha chat app

From what i understand, the Asha 302 should have a chat app available in Menu->Messaging ->More, but mine doesn't seem to. Does the default app pack differ between regions? I got my asha 302 in romania.

read here  chat  Its also possible there maybe a regional issue.
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

    do 0 hi frndss..
M using my nokia e5 from last 15 days.
But its inbuilt chat app. Shows an temp. Error(3)
    while sign in..
Plz. Help. And plz tell me the location where the access points
    of service provider's are storrd.
    B'coz i wanna delete unused apn's.
Thinks it's happns due to conflicts of same apn's

Nokia's chat application is buggy, most time it doesn't work properly. U better install any third party chat application like Nimbuzz or Fring.
Access points are stored in Tools > Settings > Connections > Access Points > destination (internet/mms/wap)

  • NOW ASHA 201 CAN STREAM YOU TUBE VIDEO

    Attention please..
Guys there's many post in our discussion board  about the question of Asha 201's "You Tube" video streaming. And the only one answer was Asha 201 can't stream video.
But now it is wrong. You can "Watch Video" of You Tube in your Asha 201 phone by "YouTubeSearch" app.
Just go to Nokia Ovi Store --- Type "YoutubeSearch" in the search box --- and download it.
It is a very small app, so download if really want to watch video of You tube.

Did you check the home page setting?
*Firefox > Preferences > General > Startup: Home page
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page
If you do not keep changes after a restart then see:
You can also check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • Asha 201 OUT OF MEMORY

Hi im using a Nokia asha 201 but each time i open my opera Mini browser it keeps on telling me, Error, Out of memory. And i have a memory card but after some time my device automatically gets full.i dont knw what fills it up..
    HELP

You have to only look for those apps/games which work for you and delete which don't work.
The problem could be because of low memory of the phone or problem in the game itself.
    Hope this helps.

  • Asha 201 Time and Date remains on set value - not ...

I use a Nokia Asha 201 as a backup handset, so it is not used very often. Recently when i needed to use and after i charged it (the charge had run down) i set the time and date to the current time and date. i noticed a few minutes later that the clock had not progressed, it was still showing the time i set and saved it to. upon setting the time again i noticed that it was also not dispalying the date and time on the hoem screen as it always did, with all the settings still the same. it only shows "-------------" on the home screen. up to now it still appears that the clock (time and date) does not progress but remains showing the values i set it to. when accessing some of the other apps, i receive a prompt to set the date and time. Restored it to factory default settings a few times and reinstalled updates/firmware as well, with no success. Any advice please?

    I have the same problem!

  • Asha 201 restarting

I bought my asha 201 three months ago and it was working fine until last month when it started restarting frequently plus my mail app also stopped working. I've restored the factory settings but the problem is still there. It's really making me sad cos it restarts very very often especially when i'm using it

Backup data from the memory card to pc, format it copy data back. Check if the problem resolved.

  • [Solved] How to make Jabber chat apps work on Noki...

I had a problem with any third-party chat apps not being able to connect to the network.
Nokia Asha 210 Dual Sim - Chat apps fail to connect
My Nokia 210 works well both with GPRS and WiFi. The internet browser works ok, as well as Nokia Chat.
However, the third-party XMPP chat applications fail to connect to the server (this is true for GPRS and WiFi ):
    - Nimbuzz (installed directly from Ovi Store):
"nimbuzz needs your permission to connect to the internet"
    - Talkonaut (downloaded from the official site, run from the SD card, http://www.talkonaut.ru/download.shtml )
Simply tries to reconnect all the time, never manages to connect.
    - Bombus (downloaded from the official site, run from the SD card, http://bombus-im.org/wiki/bombus/help_english)
Shows some Java exception, but obviously seems being unable to connect after trying for a few seconds.
    I have checked:
    - my Access Point settings which seems to be ok (the internet browser works ok);
    - access rights for the chat apps (all of them are allowed to access the data connection).
    SOLUTION:
    1. I followed the advice here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Asha-and-other-Nokia-Series-30/check-your-connection/m-p/2380795#M10...
    2. Menu > Sim mgr > Sim 1 > Mobile data (set checkmark ON)
