ASP form for attachments

Help! i'm going crazy. I need to know how to code a form that allows my
users to upload files either thru my godaddy hosted site or directly to my email.
can anyone help? need the html page code and the asp code that works with godaddy. thanks.

Your better off using php, there are a lot of tutorials that
are simple to use and plenty of resources to help you put this
together. Try starting here:

so from the above markup the name field is not part of the edit form,, i think this is because the Name is part of the Document content type and not part of the enterprisewiki content type .. so is there a way to add the name field to the edit
form ?.
second question, the edit form will show all the content type fields such as ; standard, document type, department , title (display in search), etc so what is the best way to remove these fields from the custom edit form ?

This can only be done by adding VBScript to the form. It would basically be:
Sub Item_Open()
Item.GetInspector.SetCurrentFormPage "P.2"
End Sub
... where "P.2" would be what you named the page you want to display first.

Trying to create a XML file from an ASP Form

I have an ASP form on my website that generates a XML data
file, but there are a few problems with it. First, when I generate
the file, it creates a new file every time a user clicks on
"Submit" and I would like the data to just be appended to a
particular, existing XML file...how can I append the data to the
XML file? The code I am currently using is shown below.
Secondly, I need to nest/repeat certain fields within the XML
file. Basically, I want the XML file to look like this (I
simplified the code for ease of writing, so don't bother with the
syntax):
<Recipe>
<RecipeName>
<SubmittedBy>
<Ingredients>
<Amount>
<Unit>
<Ingredient>
<Description>
<Directions>
<Recipe>
<RecipeName>
etc...
How would I create a form that would create that type of XML
file? Think of a MS Access form with linked subforms, but I don't
want to repeat more data than I have to.

Reset .asp form on page load

I produced an .asp fillable form in DWCS5 using ASP Form 2 Email extension. Worked very well. Problem -- ONLY with IE. When I "submit" the form, I get the "success" page. If I hit the back button on the browser, all the form info is still there. I inserted the "pragma" meta into the <head> and it resolved the problem in all browsers EXCEPT IE. Any suggestions as to how I can force the cache to clear on page load? Or, maybe a way to disable the "back" button on the browser when the success page has appeared?

Perhaps you're not phrasing your question correctly, but what
you're
suggesting is nonsense/not necessary. A form is designed for
user input.
If you want the form to be submitted when the page loads, the
user has
no opportunity to enter any input before it's submitted. If
you don't
want any user input, there is no need to submit a form. You
simply write
a PHP script that runs automatically when the page loads.
Forms play no
role in your scenario.

How to specify stylesheet for attachments in Human task

Dear Experts,
I can able to add an attachment from BPEL process to Human Task. So from Worklist I can able to download the attachment. Here, I am attaching an XML payload, and I am receiving .xml file from worklist. Now I want to do xsl mapping with my attachment. To do that we have an option when creating Human Task from BPEL . In .task form, under advanced settings--> specify style sheets for attachments, specify wordML for attchments. I have used those options. But not yet my .xsl file mapped with .xml. Is there is any other way to do xsl mapping. Please suggest me.

Also I am not using "Application Server Developer's Guide for Microsoft Office Interoperability" this document, what you have mentioned in your last post. My problem is I am having xsl with me, need to map this xsl to my xml attachment. To do that we are having an option on .task form editor, Under Advanced Settings. We can mention/specify stylesheet for attachment, or we can specify wordML for attachment. I have tried both but I cant able to do xsl transformation. I have seen some code in this link. But I dont know whether this blog is correct one. Please suggest me.

Capabilities of Adobe Forms for Secure Bidding

How can electronic signatures be incorproated into Adobe Forms? I am trying to figure out how to get an existing form converted knowing that I require wet signatures now and would require electronic signatures using Adobe Forms.
How can a time stamp and a cut-off time for no further submissions be incorprated into Adobe Forms? I am interested in determining when the document was submitted and also having Adobe Forms stop accepting submissions after a designated date and point in time.
The FAQs (or elsewhere) addressed Adobe Forms accepting attachments. Could there be identification names (e.g. "check boxes") for what was being required to be uploaded for each specific and required document that is to be uploaded that all together forms a "package", like a bid package?

We currently do not support electronic signatures within FormsCentral. We have a sister service called EchoSign (www.echosign.com) that provide elecstronic signatures though we currently do not integrate with them.
There is no way to automatically close the form at a certain time/date. You would have to do that yourself manually.
I form can have multiple attachments fields so you can specify very precisely what attachments you want from people. We also provide controls on restricting file size, and file types.

Submitting forms for distribution

I am currently designing several different forms for my department to use when carrying out various procedures. I am distributing them to my team and they fill them out whenever required then hit 'submit' to send them back to me. The problem I have is that when they come in, they all have the same subject message 'Submitting completed form'. Am I able to change this? Its not the end of the world because the attatchment carries the form name, it would be handy though when filtering my inbox.

If you want to use Adobe tracking I don't think you have the ability to control the subject dynamically.
However, submitting to a server-side script is a better approach to using adobe tracking, and it has the ability to control the subject, body, e-mail to, cc, bcc by pulling data from form submission values.
PDFEmail.net server-side scripts can e-mail and attach the WHOLE PDF without 3rd party e-mail software such as OUTLOOK.

How to track an ASP form

My friend and I are trying to find a script that enables us
to track the asp form sent to us with its own specific number. With
either numbers or letters, so far we have not been able to do
either. We have a webform on a server, so when somebody fills out
the form out and when it is sent to us we want the email with the
information filled out with its own specific number. Please

Error in ASP Form

Hi
I have put a very basic .asp form to mail on a contact page
but when the form is processed, the only info received are the
labels (i.e. Email Address, Name, Message etc.) but no actual
content. There is obviously an error in the code somewhere. I'd be
grateful for some asp wizard to give me a few pointers.

Problems installing ASP Form Captcha plugin

Hi,
I have just purchased and downloaded this plugin for Dreamweaver www.hotdreamweaver.com/asp-form-captcha . I am running DW MX.
When I try to run the installation I get the following error message:
'This extension package is not applicable with this version of Macromedia Extension Manager, you need a newer version of the package or the Extension Manager. Please visit the Macromedia Exchange website to obtain a copy. The extension will not be installed.'
I cannot find anything of assistance and would appreciate it enormously if anyone could kindly point me in the right direction with this.

Submitting form with attachments.

Hi,
I have a simple need. I am stucked in it. What i need to do is:
Step 1: User1 starts opens a pdf form inside LC Workspace, fill it, attach files (Reader Extended) and then submit it.
Step 2: User2 receives the filled form with attcachments. Can view attachments and save them in repository.
I am stucked at step 1. User is able to fill the form, add attachments but can't submit it. If I am not enabling the Reader Extensions for attachments (Disabling functionality to attach files) then it works fine. But when using with attachments option, it fails. It gives no error, no message and does not passed to the 2nd user.
Is there any special requirement in developing such process/form ??
Please help me out on it.

I've studied the HTML generated by UIX and it has following bugs and misfeatures:
1. Misfeature: Submitting with Enter works ONLY if there is exactly one text field in the form (no submit button is actually needed), as Brian Stoler wrote. I don't understand reason for this.
2. Bug: UIX generates javascript function "_submitOnEnter" which is called as event handler for "onKeyPress" event. But this function is erroneously generated multiple times, once for each form in the page. Browsers (Mozilla and IE) use the latest implementation. This function is different for forms with one text field and for forms with more text field, but only the first one can do the job. As a consequence of this, Enter can submit the form only if the last form on a page has single text field (which is for example not the case of search form with single field above another form...)
Tested with UIX 2.1.7 in JDeveloper 9.0.3.3, using UIX as JSP tag library.
Workaround:
1. Use Opera browser: it submits form with enter key even if there is no submit button (this does not work for the first text field in the form, because it has "onkeypress" event handler).
2. Implement this feature by hand yourself, if you really need it (see below).
3. Use accessKey: allows to submit form with Alt+<key> combination (followed by Enter with IE).
Implementing Enter key submits with Javascript:
1. Put the following function to the header (or to javascript library):

Training: ASP/Forms/Database

Where do I begin? I am a Dreamweaver user (approx 5 years). Now need to learn how to connect my site using DW to a SQL Database. Need an overall understanding/overview of asp/forms/database. The site I am working on has forms created in DW using ASP. How to get the data captured in the form to transfer to the database. Thanks much.

I also had to re-learn...I started using DW back when it was a Macromedia product (around 1998 and later) and the web standard was still static HTML and XHTML. Needless to say, those were the extent of my language repertoire (looked at ASP at the time but didn't feel it was necessary). I left the web design scene somewhere around the time MX2004 came out and had moved on to other things but stayed using the entire Macromedia design series to this date (I currently use CS5).
I had recently been asked to help out with a website and it was suggested that it be a dynamic site with php and a mysql database. I wanted to hold on to my geek badge so I started learning php and mysql (still learning). I found that the best way to learn these languages is W3Schools. That is an awesome reference and education site and they've been around for 10+ years. I used W3Schools and jumped from php/sql forum to php/sql forum for help with specific problems I ran into with coding. Forums are indispensable for getting the help you need but you should be looking at language-speciic forums (php,ASP,sql,CF...). Fortunately php and mysql are relatively easy languages to learn and if you have any web design background, you should be able to self-learn with little difficulty.

ASP Form Problem

I need to create a form that is a single form page (i.e not
having different parts depending on differnt selections on
different pages) that gives the user different options depening on
previous selections.
Im using ASP Mailer as my form script.
So, the first option is to select an office from a dropdown -
depending on the chosen office, the form is sent to a specfic email
address. (A different recipient per selection made)
The second option is the thype of enquiry - this can be a
choice of 3, and depending on the answer generates one of 3
different enquiry forms for completion below.
Is any of this possible, and how?

Yes, the process should be streamlined. I would create a
single form with all fields and then use the 'Enquiring About'
field to toggle the visibiity of the relevent fields. The form
processing script can then assemble the correct fields for the
email based on the value of the Equiring About field. And the
recipient of the field would be based on their office selection. So
you can do it all with 1 step and 1 form rather than 3.

Changes in the Payment program Form for Checks

Issue: The Form for printing checks is not printing correctly. When there is an Overflow of Invoices from the first page (> 14) the check is voided on the first page and the invoice data overflows to the next page which is fine, but the company logo does not print on the check and also the check info is printed below the check section (colored portion) Can some one please guide me how I can find the logo file/text and insert it in the right area. I am NOT an abaper and we dont have an abaper here to fix this. Please give me all the relevant transactions (other than SE71) to make changes on the Check payment Form. I will promptly reward with points for any relevant answers.

Performance degradation using Jolt ASP Connectivity for TUXEDO

We have a customer that uses Jolt ASP Connectivity for TUXEDO and is suffering
from a severe performance degradation over time.
Initial response times are fine (1 s.), but they tend to increase to 3 minutes
after some time (well, eh, a day or so).
Data:
- TUXEDO 7.1
- Jolt 1.2.1
- Relatively recent rolling patch installed (so no there are probably no JSH performance
issues and memory leaks as fixed in earlier patches)
The ULOG shows that during the night the JSH instances notice a timeout on behalf
of the client connection and do a forced shutdown of the client:

This happens every 10 minutes as per configuration of the JSL (-T flag).
The customer "solved" the problem for the time being by increasing the connection
pool size on the IIS web server.
However, they didn't find a "smoking gun" - no definite cause for the problem.
So, it is debatable whether their "solution" suffices.
It is my suspicion the problem might be located in the Jolt ASP classes running
on the IIS.
Maybe the connection pool somehow loses connections over time, causing subsequent
users having to queue before they get served (although an exception should be
raised if no connections are available).
However, there's no documentation on the functioning of the connection pool for
Jolt ASP.
My questions:
1) What's the algorithm used for managing connections with Jolt ASP for TUXEDO?
2) If connections are terminated by a JSH, will a new connection be established
from the web server automatically? (this is especially interesting, because the
connection policy can be configured in the JSL CLOPT, but there's no info on how
this should be handled/configured by Jolt ASP connectivity for TUXEDO)
