Asset Retirement - Tax Code specification [F-92]

In transaction F-92 Asset retirement with Customer, the system generates automatically the line for the "Gain account " defined in Asset Class: Assign G/L Accounts (AO90).
How can we specify a Tax code to be used for this Gain/Loss account? By defining this in G/L master does not work.
For example
Lin PK  BAre G/L Account TaxCode
001 01  0107 20192756               [Customer]
002 50  0107 7200900000   50
003 75  0107 1304020700
004 70  0107 1399040207
005 40  0107 7200900000
006 50  0107 8103030000
In the above example the 8103030000 represents the GAIN account. This line is automatically generated by SAP F-92 transaction. How can we instruct the system to use TaxCode 50 ?
Thanks for any hint

hi,
try it with creating a substitution with transaction OBBH.
if bseg-hkont = '7200900000' and sy-tcode = 'F-92'.

    Thanks,

    Hi All,
I have restricted the asset sale account by not allowing to post Taxcode with "0%" through validation. But while transfering the asset balance to Profit and loss account in the same transaction at line item 6 they dont wanted to calculate tax so they are taking '0' % tax code which my validation does not support.
Now i wanted to Gray out the tax code field at line item level. Is it possible or else please suggest me  in finding the solution.

  • Wrong postings of  TAX CODES FOR FI invoices

    Dear Friends,
I need to create Both Input tax codes an Output Tax codes purely for FI transactions need to be posted in Cash Journal and via Fb60 and FB70 postings.
I have created new Tax codes Specifically for FI and assigned the same in Fv11 for respective Condition type, but when they are using the same systm calculates wrong amounts as below
Invoice amount = 10000.00, Created Output Tax Code "o1" with  2% then actual Tax amount should be 200, But where as my system calculates  196.08. when i find in the system calculates only 196.08, when i posted the same i have checked system calculates as below (Amount 10000.00 -  Tax amount 196.08 = 9,803.92), Sytem calculates the taxes on 9803.92*2  % = 196.08.
We need the taxes should calculated should be 200 instead of 196.08.
    Can any body guide me
    Regards,

    Hi Sandeep,
Go to FB00 and you will find an option to calculate taxes on net amount or gross amount. Select or remove the "tick" as the case might be.

  • Tax Code Mandatory in Purchase Order for specific Company Code / Country

We are doing Roll Outs of SAP into different countries.
In a particular Country / Company Code we want Tax Code to be mandatory in Purchase Order without disturbing the settings for other Country / Company Code.
Can anyone provide some idea to resolve this?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
You can create a seperate document type for that country and make it mandatory in the document specific screen varient
SPRO>MM>PUR>PO>DEFINE SCEEN LAYOUT AT DOCUMENT LEVEL>COPY NBF
Make tax code field mandatory and assign it to new document type for that country

  • Error In T.code F-92 (Asset retirement)

    Hi All
I am posing Asset retirement by using the transaction code F-92
but when i input the asset no,  the system is giving me the following error .
Transaction in area 01 contradicts the net book value rule
    Message no. AA660
    Diagnosis
The document cannot be posted, as it is contrary to the net book value
rule which is checked in area 01.
    Procedure
This error usually occurs when you enter proportional values. The
proportional values exceed the amount posted, for example, post
capitalization of 100 but proportional depreciation to the amount 110.
Check your entries and correct them if necessary.
Is there any way to resolve this issue ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    DDT

    Hi Friend,
Generally this type of message will come when there is an incompatability in depreciation area.
Please check in the following path:
    SPRO -
    > Financial Accounting -> Asset Accounting  -> Valuation--> Depreciation Areas -
    > Define Depreciation Areas...
Select the appropriate Chart of Depreciation and Depreciation area.
There are 10 setting given under "Value Maintenance " Tab button.
Please check and change accordingly. I guess you should select " Net Book values" (2nd one) with all values.
Otherwise also, the issue will be there in those 10 values only.
    Please check it.
Reward if you find it is useful.....
    Thanks & Regards

  • TAX code is not working for a specific company code

    Hi Friends,
One tax code is giving error messa ge that it is not maintained in tax procedure, when iam using the same code for another company code it is working fine.
Please help me, points are assured.
    Thanks.
    Srini

    Hi Srini,
The tax codes are defined at the country level.  Please check whether the company codes belong to the same country.  If not ensure that the tax code is maintained in the tax procedures of the respective countries.
You can check the assignment of the tax procedure to a country in the TCode OBBG.
    please reward points if helpful.

    Friend,
As Jurgen suggested, it is not possible.
How can tax code change based on user? I really don't understand the requirement. Tax is purely depend upon the law of the country. It will be uniform for all.

  • F-92 asset retirement-where document splitting is active

I have a situation where I have activated document splitting for the characteristics profit centre and segment. When i post an asset retirement however that the customer and the VAT postings do not get populated with profit center and segment. The asset disposal accounts, the assets, the gain or loss on disposal do have the profit center and segment populated.
I have made FSG  profit centre required for customer, not required for VAT general ledger accounts
I have made the posting key 01 and 50 FSG- profit centre required and cost centre optional
Where else can i check. as i thought the customer would inherit the profit center from the cost centre in the asset being sold.

    Hi,
This is surely related to Document splitting configuration
For Document type DR, what is the business trans. and trans. variant assigned ?
I think it should be 0000 (unspecified posting) and then create a new variant and assign the below categories:
Menu: Financial Accounting (New)-> General Ledger Accounting (New) - > Business Transactions -> Document Splitting -> Define Business Transaction Variants
    01000     Balance Sheet Account
    01100     Company Code Clearing
    01300     Cash Discount Clearing
    02000     Customer
    02100     Customer: Special G/L Transaction
    03000     Vendor
    03100     Vendor: Special G/L Transaction
    04000     Cash Account
    05100     Taxes on Sales/Purchases
    05200     Withholding Tax
    06000     Material
    07000     Fixed Assets
    20000     Expense
    30000     Revenue
    40100     Cash Discount (Expense/Revenue/Loss)
    40200     Exchange Rate Difference
    80000     Customer-Specific Item Category
Assign the new variant to DR document under Financial Accounting (New)-> General Ledger Accounting (New) - > Business Transactions -> Document Splitting -> Classify Document Types for Document Splitting
    Hope this helps

  • Acquisition tax in Belgium/Germany-Posting with different tax codes

    Dear Friends,
Does anyone have experience working with Acquisition tax in Belgium and German where the goods and services purchased within EU have 21% -input and output tax such that it is ZERO. But still Tax authorities need to see both input and output tax amount with different tax code such as under:
    Expense a/c Dr 100
    Payable a/c Cr 100
    Input VAT a/c Dr 21 - Tax code A1
    Output VAT a/c Cr 21 - Tax code B1
Any help as to how to post the above entry and how to customize tax code to get the above result and any changes if required in country code tax calculation procedure will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Pinky

    Hi Pinky,
When you define your tax codes, the system defaults certain tax types that have been defined in the system for specific countries. Input tax, output tax, and non-deductible input tax are examples of tax types used in Germany.
The system determines which tax types are to be displayed by means of the country key. A calculation procedure is specified for each country key, and this procedure contains the country-specific specifications for calculating and posting the different tax types.
When you define the calculation procedure, you must answer the following questions concerning each tax type:
What is the base amount for calculating the tax? This can be the expense or revenue amount or, as with sales equalization tax in Belgium, a tax amount.
Which calculation type is used to determine the base amount: percentage included or percentage separate? With very few exceptions (such as for travel expense accounting in Germany), the base amount is normally determined percentage included.
    The tax amount is 15%.
    Percentage included
Tax amount = invoice gross amount * (tax rate/100 + tax rate)
    150 = 1150 * ( 15 / 100 + 15)
    Percentage separate
Tax amount = invoice net gross * tax rate/100
    150 = 1000 * 15 / 100
To which side of the account must the tax amount be posted? The input and output tax is always posted in accordance with the G/L account and asset line items. For the tax to be posted additionally, the side of the account is determined depending on the input or output tax. For the acquisition and investment tax, for example, you post to the opposite side of the account.
Should a possible tax expense be divided between the G/L account and asset line items or posted separately? If, for example, you have a non-deductible input tax amount, you can choose whether to post to a separate expense account or apportion the tax expense between the G/L account and asset line items.
The type of tax calculation and posting depends on the answers to these questions and the combination of those answers.
The following topics introduce individual tax types and explain the necessary specifications for calculating and posting tax. For more information on the calculation procedure, see The Calculation Procedure.

*After there is a difference between area 63 Asset history sheet and the Account balance list which wasn't their prior to this sale. The difference is between summarizing all of the dep. columns and comparing that to the Accumulate Dep. in the same sheet.
Now The EVL assets are Finland specific. They are used to post gaine/loss for sales and scrap in tax area, so they are effected by the sale.

  • How to Have Two Withholding Tax Code  in One invoice

    Hello,
We are using Extended Withholding Tax, and we have defined 9 Withholding Tax type specials, this because is the same withholding type, but we different %, also we have defined more than one Withholding Tax Code, for each one. This kind of Withholding Tax in Venezuela it is called ISAE, and for one invoice I could have more than one ISAE Withholding Tax, in this with have configurated diferents withholdings tax types, but it is a issue because, the system generate one Certificate Numbering for Withholding Tax, but for us this needs to be the same, and only generates one Certificate Number and make the sum of the two amounts. Because is the same Withholding Tax, we need to report only one.
E.g. I post an invoice 1000999, with two Withholding Tax type, 23 -with tax code 01 and 24 with tax code 02, when i Generate the report I get:
Vendor Certificate Number Wh. t.t. Wtx Amount in RC wt amount
    10000 00000000001 23 01 90000 2000
    10000 00000000002 24 02 90000 1500
    We need:
Vendor Certificate Number Wh. t.t. Wtx Amount in RC wt amount
    10000 00000000001 23 01 90000 3500
We tried to defined only one Withholding Tax type with all the Withholding Tax Code, but the system doesn't allow to post in the vendor master data, more that one Withholding Tax type, we tried to leave it blank, but when we do the FB60, we can´t select multiple Tax Code.
How we can post a document with more  tham one tax code? or what we have to do to solve the problem?
I appreciate all the help you can provide me.

    Hello Mauri
Thanks for your answer, but in this moment we have the configuration exactly like you suggest, but in the moment of we generate the certification number we get two or more numbers, and we only need that the systme generates only one. It is correct that the sistem generates two or more because in one invoice we need and we use two or more wt type ISAE, but for Legal Reasons we need that the system generates only one certificated number, because is the same wt type.  You know if we can do any validation? or we must do anything else to get only one certificated number? we never know or is not a rule to use a specific combination of Wt Type.

  • Error 'No tax code found for difference' in Posting Vendor Invoice IDOC

    Hi All,
I am getting error message 'No tax code found for difference' while posting Vendor Invoice IDOC into SAP. IDOC type is INVOIC02. There is no difference in PO price, Invoice price and even Standard price. then why this  error message? Other Vendor EDI settings are done ( OBCA, OBCD, OBCE etc). Is there any thing specific to be done in the config for this error?
IDOC has PO  as reference document.
I looked into several threads in SDN forum but could not find proper solution
Can any ine help me with this issue?
    Thanks in advance
    Hari

    Hi
You might be  missing the tax code for uploding through IDOC
so you can use the t.code we02 and give the doc and find the error
go to the WE19 to edit the tax  code
and USE the t.code  BD87  to select the doc and process it

  • Invoice not released to accounting: tax code issue

    Hi All,
Iam getting an error while i released my invoice to accounting. No accounting document generated. the error is " Tax code V0 does not appear in any G/L account item Message no. FF753"
we have various condition types in our invoices. Only  TAX condition type ZWST has tax code V0. rest of the condition types like basic price, cash dicsount, rebate condition etc do not have tax code assigned to them which is right since only tax conditions have tax code assigned to them and which is ZWST only.
My question is why the above error comes " Tax code V0 does not appear in any G/L account item Message no. FF753" . if I double click on the error message, system shows me the following
""""""""""""""""tax code V0 does not appear in any G/L account item
    Message no. FF753
    Diagnosis
The document entered contains a customer or vendor item with tax code V0. This does not occur in any of the G/L account or asset items.
    Consequences:
If you have not entered the cash discount base manually, the system will set it to zero in this item.
If this item was paid with cash discount deduction and the cash discount amount contains a tax portion, the tax code entered is used for the backdated tax calculation. An automatic breakdown does not take place on the basis of the offsetting items.
    Procedure
Check whether the tax code was set correctly. If necessary, correct it or enter "**".
There are, however, also situations in which it makes sense to enter a tax code manually which differs from the offsetting items, for example, during data acquisition.
    Effects on Customizing
You can define when this system message is to be issued in accordance with your requirements.
In Customizing, choose Cross-Application Components -> Bank Directory -> Change Message Control.
The application area and message number can be taken from the technical documentation """""""""""""
I do not know what system is saying.Could anybody help.

  • Asset Retirement: Asset Sale without customer (ABAON)

    Hi Experts,
While posting Asset Retirement in ABAON, error occurs as "SYST: You can not determine the period for rule 02 to 23.03.11".
Here we are retiring 3 assets. One from one asset class & other 2 from another asset class.
for the 1st Asset Class- period ctrl. method is 006 and in T-code AFAMP, in retirement column rule for 006 is defined as 11, which means "Next Month". AND...........
for 2nd Asset class- period ctrl. method is 003 and in T-code AFAMP, in retirement column rule for 003 is defined as 02, which means "Pro Rata upto mid-period at period start date."
Now I think problem is there for 2nd asset class as rule 02 can not determine the period according to error.
Please explain the logic? What axactly system is saying? and how can I solve this issue?
    Regards,
    Nilesh
Edited by: NileshSB on Mar 31, 2011 6:36 AM

    Hi Nilesh
Nice to know the issue has been resolved.
OAVH is used to determine the relationship between posting intervals and periods in the given fiscal year version. The assignment entries in OAVH have to be changed in the following cases:
u2022     You use period control rules you defined yourself.
u2022     You change the definition of the periods in the fiscal year version in Financial Accounting.
As you noticed, case you use a year-dependent fiscal year variant, then you have to perform OA84 to generate period controls properly.
For more information, you can refer to IMG documentation in following IMG menu path:
IMG: Asset Accounting -> Depreciation -> Valuation Methods -> Period Control -> Define Calender Assignments (OAVH) / Generate Period Controls (OA84)
