Assign device to a lot

There is a typical problem that we are facing. We are trying to assign a device to a lot using the standard function module ISU_S_LOT_CHANGE. For the first device, this function module is assigning the lot but when we assign the second device to a lot, the function module is dumping.
We have created a Function Module which calls the standard function module ISU_S_LOT_CHANGE.This FM is being called in a loop as we will get list of devices that need to be assigned to a lot.
Can any one please let us know if there is some solutions to prevent the dump. Also, please let us knwo if there is some other Function module that can be used to assign device to a lot. Please be noted that we will have to process multiple devices.
Your suggestion would be of great help to us.

Excellent post creosote7, thank you very much!  Fortunately I came in here first before even trying to talk by phone to anyone about this.  I have exactly the issues you describe ... inability to play nice with Citrix VPN, and constant drop-offs, connection unavailables, etc.  Being the old Microsoft tech that I am, I just reboot the device and wait until it connects again, after which is usually good for an hour or so.  But I have it connected to a backup battery, so I know it's not flakiness from poor line condition.
What really puzzles me is how it worked fine for a week and then dies, just as AshLee52 reports.  I looked at my usage, and sure enough it was working fine enough to pull about a gig a day for the first 7 days I had it (I had to learn the hard way that my company put MozyPro on my laptop and set it to back up 4GB a day. AGGGH).  But then all of a sudden it drops off.  This smells very highly of Verizon throttling us rather than a firmware issue.
That said, firmware updates have been the fix for me for many a switch, router, and pc problem over the years, let's hope you're right and they release something soon.
Thank goodnes I kept my DSL ... it's slower but has been my lifeline for getting my job done.  For anyone reading, I happen to also have a Verizon 4G wireless hotspot (the little hocky puck style) as well which works fantastically at the same location, so the connectivity issues are definitely tied to this LTE Home router or the VZ home service.

  • How do I import LDAP directory users for assigning devices in Configurator?

I have the Apple Configurator up and running and it is working well.  However, I would like to import my user list so that I don't have to manually add 150+ users to assign devices.  Is this possible?

This is not something I have done myself before, but I believe it certainly is possible.  Have you read the help file?  https://help.apple.com/configurator/mac/1.5/#cadbf9c2a0
    In short:
Step one - Sign into your LDAP server in system preferences.
Step two - in the Assign view of Configurator click a + and start typing user names, it should fill with users from your server.  I assume it's possible to add groups at a time.  These are pretty good guides also:

  • CSM Assigned Device Policy Changes

    Hello,
We have just assigned all of our remote ASA's to CSM 4.2.
The only policy that the CSM is contolling, at the moment, is the Firewall/Access Rules.
With the remaining ASA's assigned today, I have a couple of questions.
How does the ASA's update the assigned devices once the assigned policy has has a change/add/delete? Is there a way to conrol how many ASA's or what ASA's are updated to the newly changed assigned policy?
Also, Is there a good procedure to use in making these assigned policy change/add/deletes and subsequent ASA assigned policy updates?
    Best regards,
    DC

When changes are being deployed in CSM, the user is given an option to selectively choose which devices in the CSM inventory will receive the changes for that given deployment job. You can select all devices, or select a subset devices and save the rest for a future deployment job.

  • Manul Tasklist assignment to 03 inspection lot

    Hi All,
I need to assign the task list (Routing – Master Recipe, hence we are using Process Order) manually to 03-inspection type generated lots.
I have checked the possibilities in the in IMG, but the option is not available there in for this particular inspection type default values. Pls let me know if there is any other way out.

  • Assigning MIC to inspection lot

    Dear all,
I have created around 15 MICs in the system.
I am trying to assign these MIC in inspection lot in QA32.
In QA32 I select the lot & click on 'Result' icon.
In the next screen I follow path, 'Edit--- Create additional characteristics'
A pop up appears. I give required input but no MIC is displayed.
Please help me to solve this problem.
    Am I doing anything wrong?
    SmanS

    Prasobh,
I have tried each n every possible way but still the problem is there.
Let me explain you the whole scenario.
We are set in process inspection type in material master of an FG.
We have assigned the MIC in the routing.
But under certain conditions we need to insert some extra operations in the order.
Now it is clear that we can't assign the MIC in the order.
What we can do is we can assign the MIC in the inspection lot.
    But it is not happening.
    Pls guide

  • DNS Lookup for DHCP-assigned devices

    Hi!
I expected that my router would be able to act as a DNS server to allow machines on my network to look up the IP addresses of other machines on my network, given that every machine on my network gets its IP address from the router via DHCP - but the router doesn't appear to be capable of that.
The router in question is a Linksys E2000 device, and it has the latest firmware revision installed (1.0.03 build 2Sep 7, 2010).
So, the questions I have are:
    1. Can this router act as a DNS server?
    2. If the answer to (1) is "yes", then how should it be configured?
    Mike

Name resolution in LANs in Windows happens usually based on broadcasts in a workgroup or homegroup and that's generally the best way to do it. Some routers add DHCP entries to the DNS proxy but you can read about a lot of issues with that either, in particular if the DNS proxy information gets incorrect somehow and the DNS resolution is configured with precedence to LAN name resolution...
I would suggest you make sure your LAN name resolution is working properly.

  • Assigning devices to IRQs

    Hi All,
Is there a way to assign specific devices to their own IRQ with the nVidia board? On my system, PCI and AGP devices get clumped on IRQ 5 and 11 together with USB and nVidia controllers.
I would like to get my AGP graphics card and PCI soundcard to their own IRQ. Whenever I disable an IRQ in BIOS, say COM port, the whole IRQ assignment gets shifted around but still have no control over what goes where. There is some IRQ steering feature in Windows XP Standard Computer mode but it does not seem set up.
I think I've seen screenshots of Award Bios on other mobos having the ability to assign PCI slots to an IRQ.
Anyway this is how I'm set up:
    Athlon XP +1600
K7N420P (BIOS 2.4, onboard sound & graphics DISABLED)
WinXP Pro in Standard Computer mode (not ACPI)
    GeForce 3 Ti200
Terratec 6Fire soundcard on lowest-most PCI slot
    Hope someone can help!
    Ronnie

    Thanks everyone for their advice!
I've tried moving my soundcard into every one of the 5 PCI slots. Then run msinfo32.exe to quickly check IRQ assignment. Nothing changed regardless of which PCI slot was chosen. The soundcard is always on the same IRQ, sharing with some other device.
The only time I've noticed that IRQ assignments get shifted is when I disable a COM or Parallel port. Even then I have no control what goes where.
As for ACPI, what benefits can I obtain from it? I installed WinXP in Standard Computer mode after reading this article:
    http://service.steinberg.net/knowledge.nsf/show/acpi_kills_audio_performance
The only thing I've noticed is that in Standard Computer my PC does not auto shutdown, which is a minor annoyance. As for IRQ assignments it is all still uncontrollable.
I read a post somewhere that the ASUS nForce board has the ability to assign IRQs to PCI slots. That would be nice...
    Any more suggestions welcome...thanks.

  • Assign HU in Inspection Lot

    Hi All,
My client used QM Module at the moment.
When they have the scenario that a quantity of a batch needs the stock status needs changing for a partial quantity they slect a quantity in the inspection lot and set that to Blocked stock. The UD stays at Released as any change to the UD would impact the entire batch.
We are looking to implement HUM and have concerns how this would work for HU's.
In the inspection lot I believe you can change stock status for a quantity, can this work for HUM also?
    I assume not!!!
    Thanks in adavance

  • Fix Wrongly Assigned Device to a Device Category via EG44

    Hi,
I wrongly Created a Device in a Device Category Axxx via EG44. This Device already exists in another Device Category Bxxx. I don't see an option to delete the Device from the Device Category Axxx. Does anybody know how to do this?
    Thank you!
    NR

That is very interesting. Did you try going to the tables EQUI, EGERS, V_EGER to see which tables has this device and which don't?
H_EGER is the search help for device in EL31. May be something is wrong with the refresh of that?
So just to retrace your steps, you created a device nnn in device category AXXX. Then realized there exists nnn in another device category BXXX?
I hope you are not using equipment number (EQUNR which is internal) instead of the combination of device category(MATNR) and serial number(GERAET).
It is against the rules of database management that a device exists in one table and doesn't in another and so the same goes with transactions that access the device.
Did anyone try to delete it from tables directly?

I think Flgrx simply does not support cards that are that old anymore. Use an older version or use xf86-video-ati which probably will be the better choice for you card anyways.

  • Quality Management During Goods Receipt (Inspection Lot)

    Hi all,
    >>>>>>>>>>>>
    REQUIREMENT
    <<<<<<<<<<<<
    I have a requirement that i need to write an interface program which will receive a file from external agency (manufacturer) and process goods receipt until inspection results. The following steps need to be taken care of;
    1) Create a equipment (Utilities - It is an unique identifier for each unit of the material).
    2) Do Goods Receipt for the PO with the equipment numbers created.
    3) Create Inspection Lot for the material document created during the GR for each equipment number.
    4) Execute Inspection Result.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>
    INFO NOW
    <<<<<<<<<<<<
Inspection lot can be created from MIGO directly by SPRO config and MM master data maintenance.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>
    DONE
    <<<<<<<<<<<<
    Called BAPI to create Equipment.
Called BAPI to create Goods Receipt.
Inspection Lot Settings to create lots during MIGO
    1) New Inspection Type Created as SG1 at SPRO->QM->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Maintain Inspection types. The maintenance is a copy of type 01.
    2) Assign Inspection Type to Lot Origin at SPRO->QM->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types. SG1 is maintained against lot origin 01 with variant 01.
    3) Set Default values for SG1 at SPRO->QM->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Define Default Values for Inspection Type with parameters same as for 01.
    4) In Material master for the record set the inspection setup in the quality management tab. put SG1 as active and preferred. Also set Post to insp Stock, Insp with task list, Auto Assign, Skips allowed, Serial Numbers poss, Control Insp lot as For each Material Doc Item.
I have to kow how to select the Inspection Plan for the lot and thus set the status of lot to released and get it ready for results.
I also have BAPI ready for Inspection Result.

    TESTING
    <<<<<<<<<<<<
I have tested it and was working fine till last thursday. I have the above mentioned settings even now in the system. Can there be anything else which the functional consultants would have change that affected the process. Anyways now the inspection lot is not getting created for the Inspection during MIGO and I am really struggling to find the exact reason.
For your info, I am working mostly on Utilities and so do not have much idea about the quality management stuff.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>
    QUESTION
    <<<<<<<<<<<<
Why the inspection lot is not getting created during MIGO for my scenarion?
How to select the inspection plan in the program?

  • Cheque lot issue

    Hi Experts,
Client have Two Location  A and B.  Both are using the same bank for cheque printing (f-58)  for payment.  we assign the different cheque lots series  but still both are using the same lot of cheques.
    A Office                                                                                B Office
Check Lot- 483                                                                     Check Lot- 482
    Bank Is Same Canara bank
    Please advice.

    Dear experts
SAP to automatically do this (select the correct cheque lot). You would need to save the variant for the payment program (RFFOUS_C) with field PAR_STAP (cheque lot) as a selection variable. You can maintain a value for this in table TVARV and SAP will automatically pull through the value. You can always get a program written to update TVARV from the parameters maintained in FCHI.
