  • Order type and Item category group

Can anyone tell me which is the relation between order type and Item category group from material master ??
In fact the problem is that I have created a material and when I want to create new sales order it gives me this errror:
"No item category available (Table T184 ZORDER ZITGR)"
Is there a tranzaction where I can assign Item category group ZITGR to sale order type ZORDER or something like that??
    What should i do?

    Hi Dan,
Goto T-Code VOV4 and maintain the table
Sales Doc type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher level Item Category = Item Category
    TA + NORM + Nil + Nil = TAN
If you have Customized your own Document Type and Item Category Group and Item Category then give your
Sales Doc type (ZORDER)+ Item Category Group (ZITGR)+ Usage + Higher level Item Category = Item Category (ZTAN)

  • Order type Z031 plant AT01. No checking rule mantained for operation

    Hello PS Gurus,
I am trying to create a new element PEP, and when i tried to release the element PEP i get.
Order type Z031 plant AT01. No checking rule mantained for operation
Can someone tell me what is missing in our customization?
                 Best Regards
                     João Fernandes

I assume you are trying to attach materials to network activity which is assigned to WBS.
Your error is because of missing configuration in below mentioned node:
In SPRO maintain the 'Define Checking Control' under Project Systems->Material->Availability Check (T code OPJK)
For plant AT01 and Order Type Z031 maintain parameters which are suitable to you. Before this you need to check the node OPJJ.

  • Process Orders Types and Costing effect.

    Dear All,
I have a query regarding the order type in process orders.
There is an order type "Rework",. It can be used by the production people for some material(s) that may need only minute/little rework.
Can anyone please help me to understand that if production guys instead of using order type as "rework" again assign the main work order type for the process orders that were basically meant for rework then what will be its cost implications.?
Is this type is required to differentiate b/w the originally processed and reworked orders only and there is no other implications / consequences ?
Hope, I am able to put my confusion here clearly.
Thanking all you guys in advance.
    Regards,
    Yasir Shaikh.

    Wsalam Ajay.
Thank you, I have been learning a lot from this forum and specially from you.
Being new to CO, I believe it will take me some time to get used to the technical terms. please tell me that how to check the cost of rework specific to a CC, I am also unable to understand the 2nd part related to settlement object.
PS, I was of the view that because if we use the default order type for a rework order, then keeping in mind our policy to valuate material at standard cost, we are overcasting / overvaluing our inventory.
Please correct me as even I am confused on this.
For example. For material AAA, and for Output of 1 Unit of AAA, we need 2 units of input material X, 2 units of input material Y, and 2 Units of input material Z. And now we have received material AAA for rework which only needs 1 units of material A .
Now, if we will use default order type and not rework order type then by showing output of 1 unit of material AAA, it will be costed on a standard cost of material X, Y and Z for each 2 units.
After this point , I am getting confused that if it is only a small consumption of new material then how can we assign the AAA with full cost of one unit of AAA.
    Thanking you.
    Yasir Shaikh.

  • Authorization for order type and activity

    Dear all,
is it possible to set the authorization in PS, that allow changes only for specific order types?
    Scenario:
A user is allowed to display order type PS01.
But he is also allowed to create/change/display the order type PS02.
In transaction CN22 there is only the authorization object C_AFKO_AWK, which has the values for plant and order type, but the activity is missing. So if the user gets both order types and also transactions CN22 and CN23, he can change both order types.
Is there a solution for this problem?
    Thank you!
    Regards,
    Stefan

    I tried to create 2 roles in PFCG with the following authorization objects: 1) M_MATE_MAR (Material Master: Material Types) ACTVT = *, BEGRU = ZFER and M_MATE_STA (Maintenance Statuses) ACTVT = *, STATM = A,C, D, E, F, G,K, L, P, Q, S, V, X, Z (excluding B) 2) ) M_MATE_MAR ACTVT = *, BEGRU = ZFER and M_MATE_STA ACTVT = *, STATM = B
    - Are both these roles assigned to the same user? then your purpose is not solved, It is more or less like giving full authorization.
    - One role should be
M_MATE_MAR (Material Master: Material Types) ACTVT = *, BEGRU = ZFER and M_MATE_STA (Maintenance Statuses) ACTVT = *, STATM = A,C, D, E, F, G,K, L, P, Q, S, V, X, Z (excluding B) for view, modify and create of all views, except accounting (B) for type material ZFER. This should be assigned to one user
    - Second role should be
M_MATE_MAR ACTVT = *, BEGRU = ZOFF and M_MATE_STA ACTVT = *, STATM = * for view, modify and create of all views for type material ZOFF. This role should be assigned to the second user.

  • Settings for costing data in order types for plant maintenance

i want to know the purpose of settings for costing data in order types for plant maintenance. do we need to do it for sure i mean are those settings mandatory to analyze the costs on work order

Yes you need to maintain those settings, as the plant maintenance orders are also considered as cost objects and in order for you to post any cost, you need to have a cost object.  Unless you maintain these settings, the cost you posted cannot be settled to a cost center.
Assign points as a way to say thanks.

Step2. A down payment using transaction code FBA7. using a special indicator M to a bank account.
Step3. When I am trying to clear the open item  (by selecting above both documents) for the vendor using transaction F-44 system is giving an error message u201CThere is a mismatch between order type and GL accountu201D. System is prompting to correct the down payment entry, where I dint use any Cost centre, internal order.
Checked the Internal order profile, AUC settlement profile etc and no able to find an error message.
Can any one explain me why this error is coming and what need to be check in order to rectify it.

Hi It looks that the field status of the Order Type and GL Account field status is being mistmatching with each other. You can check the field status group given on GL Account and the fields status in Order Type.

  • Planned order to prod order----order type and prod version/ routing

    Hi,
My client produces a material in three different locations. The process at all the locations is same. Each location has the set of same work centers. We have differentiated the workcenters at the three different locations by naming conventions. I am mainting three counters in the routing with different set of work centers.
We want different order types for the production orders processed at these three locations. Also I should be in a position to select the routing/ production version manually for the production orders processed at the three different locations. When I am creating a production order manually, I can select the order type and even the routing or production version.
But here I am converting the planned order to production order. The system is picking the order type as maintained in OPPE. In OPL8 I maintained manual  selection of prod version. But version 1 is selected default by the system. Can I have any control over the selection of order type and prod version/ routing?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Raghu

    Dear,
Selection of production version is only possible at manual creation of production order, but not when converting planned order to production order. you can manually change the production version if u want to in the planned order. When you have a planned order it would default contain a valid production version. So system would just take the Production version in the planned order to use the same in Production order. If you want to change the production version in production order then go to CO02-FunctionRead PP Master data and change it.
(Goto OPL8 and select Manual Selection of Production Order in Production Version field
And in MRP4 view of material master select - Selection only by production version as the option for the Selection method field )
    Hope clear to you.

  • Order types, why do we need to create our order types and not use the stand

    HI
Order types, why do we need to create our order types and not use the standard ones during implementation.

    Hi Raj,
Well there is no hard and fast rule that you have to copy nad create a new order type. Its just to meet our own requirements that we copy the standard and make the changes if required to meet our business needs.
And by this way we keep unchanged the standard order type for further use.
If you are sure that the standard order type satisfies your need you can directly use that only.
I hope this clarifies the issue.
    Do reward if find useful

  • Internal order types and number ranges

We have two SAP instances and want to load Internal order types and number ranges and Internal orders from 4.6 to 4.5 version.
I need to determine if there is an overlap of number ranges for the internal order types used in 4.6 and 4.5
Could you please help me how to approach? Manually verifying each range in both system is a tedious job and very confusing as the numbers are too big.

    Hi,
I can suggest one thing which seems to be worth trying. Involve one technical guy in downloading the number ranges as well the orders of the numbers used from both the system and compare it. Then compile them and upload it again.
    Trust this helps much!
    Cheers!

  • Disable the Item Availability Button based on Order type and Item category

    Hi ,
My requirement is to disable the Item availability check button in VA01 based on the Order Type & Item category. Is there any user Exits/ Badi / FM available for this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Srinivas.

    Hi,
Although it is an old post I need to answer for people who search an answer to the same type of question. To hide a field
you can use transaction variant 'tcode:SHD0'. But it is not based on Order type and Item category. May be you can use
USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION form in user-exit MV45AFZZ. You can loop at screen and set screen-active = 0 in fields
where you want them to be inactive.

  • Use of different profile  to order type.

    Hi Experts ,
What is use of mat profile , ext profile & maintenance profile in maintenance order
    With best regards,
    AVI DDS.

    hi,
Material Profile: In this step, you define the profiles for external procurement of services and materials.
In the external processing profile, you can store default values to generate purchase requisitions from maintenance- or service orders.
In each profile, you can store a default value for the following values:
    u2022     Cost element account
    u2022     Purchasing organization
    u2022     Purchasing group
    u2022     Material group
The project profile contains default values and parameters for processing the project, for example, which settlement schema is valid, which factory calendar is used for time scheduling, or which settings are used for graphics.
You can maintain the values for the project profile in Project System Customizing.
If you create a work breakdown structure, the project profile is saved in the project definition. You can change default settings from the project profile when you are working with the work breakdown structure.
When you create a network, you must also enter a network profile for the network.
The network profile contains default values and parameters for working with a network, for example, the plant, units, control keys for the different activities, or graphic settings.
You can maintain the values for the network profile in Project System Customizing.
The data from the network profile is automatically copied into the network when you create a new network. You can change the default values from the profile in the network.
The budget profile brings together the control parameters for budgeting.
You can control budgeting with the following parameters:
    Time horizon
Period into the past for which budgeting is possible
Period into the future for which budgeting is possible
    Budgeting start year
    Budgeting of total/annual values
    Format
What value is displayed as well as the budget, when you access the function
Decimal places and scaling factor as default values
Availability control (Project System, Funds Management)
    Of annual/total budget
    Of releases
    Currency translation
    Exchange rate type
    Value date

  • Allocation of Budget profile to order type

    Dear Gurus;
I can create budget for order / order group by tcode: KO22, supplement the budget by KO24.
But how do I assign a plan/ budget profile to an order type?
    Thanks & Regards
    Hemant Roplekar

    Hello Paul;
I think by assigning availability control to order types either by activation type 1(automatically)  or by activation type 2 & then running KO30; will only bring in the tolerance limits & budget control for those order types.
But if I have to allocate budget to any order or order group I have to do it through KO22, I don't find any alternative to this.
Means, I can only assign budget to orders & NOT to order types. Which further implies that, I can budget only existing orders. Not all orders originating from a particular order type in a year???
    Thanks for your valuable input.
    Regards
    Hemant

  • What is the impact on MM if assign new sales org to sales order type?

    hi expert!
need to ask you guys, what is the setting need to be done if on sales side they want to assign a new sales org, distribution channel and division to sales order type for drop shipment process? Do we only need to make sure that purchase org has been assigned to company code of the sales area?
    Thanks.

Sales Organisation has to be assigned to a company code & Sales view of the material has to extended to this new sales organisation using T code MM01.
