Assign lifecycle

Hi,
  Is there a possibility of maintaining the like profile + phase-in/phase-out  assignments to products en masse ?  The number of entries to be maintained is too many and we are looking for a easier method..like a file upload.Copy/paste into multiple rows of the table is also being considered though that will be the last option.Wildcard entries are not practical for us,they are mostly one-to-one assignments.
I have been researching and have found that the table /SAPAPO/FCST_LC1 exists fairly independently:
Options I have for now:
1. Do a mass update into the table using ABAP/sql .
2. Record a BDC session for the transaction.
Any inputs / suggestions ?
Thanks

can you create selection ids based on your entries?
if so you can choose selections in interactive planning and assign the profles there directly i suppose
if you have maintained the basic settings for lifecycle planning for the planning area,
choose the green inverted triangles on the forecasting screen and assign a phase-in profile and a phase-out profile to the current selection  When you then choose execute, the profile is applied to the selection and the results changed correspondingly.
also see if you can use the phase in profiles from product master data if you have a char mapped as product.... there are macros that read from this

  • Project Server 2010 - Customizing the resource assignment workflow

    Hi,
    When you build project schedule and publish it, each resource will be able to view his assignments under Tasks then he can edit an assignment and does changes on it.
    What I need to know, is there any way to customize the workflow that controls the assignment lifecycle so that for example if the resource changed the assignment end date I need to generate approval task to his manager and when approved it will generate
    another approval task for his director and if the director approved the task then the change it get reflected on the schedule otherwise the change will be disregard and the resource will be notified by email.

    Hi,
    There is no easy way to configure the task approval chain adding approval level and notifications. By default, the status manager of the task will receive the update for approval before it gets pushed in the project plan.
    Doing some code, you might achieve something similar, like sending an email to a specific user if the assignment finish date has been changed,  but the approval will always be send to the status manager once the update is submitted.
    Hope this helps,

  • FF user usage for utility client

    Hi All,
    Could you please let me know a Business scenario where FF ID is required for Utility client (Oil and Gas). the requirement is for business users.
    Regards,
    Praveen

    Dear Praveen,
    there is no pre-defined scenario where you have to use firefighters. Firefighter usage can be defined based on your business requirement.
    Personally I recommend to use firefighter for critical access to have critical activities logged. Others are also using firefighter to avoid SOD violations.
    There are several documents which describe EAM itself and also the process behind.
    Firefighter ID User Assignment Lifecycle
    Firefighter ID Lifecycle
    De-centralized EAM GRC 10.0
    ID-Based Firefighting vs. Role-Based Firefighting
    Hope this helps to understand the concept and usage of firefighting.

  • Lifecycle planning assignment table

    Hi
    In the Assignment table, when i am entering the Product number and trying to select the either Like Prfl/ PIN or P out profiles, its not happening. But I can enter the profile names manually. But unable to choose from the drop down profiles. Also the profile dates do not show up.
    also, sometimes, when i am hitting ENTER on keyboard, the product number is disappearing or the whole line.
    Anyone know why this should be happening ? We just upgraded our system from 5.0 to SCM 7.0.
    Any hint is appreciated.
    Thx

  • Weird behavior in assigning requirement pattern (audit graduation)

    Hello,
    I have the following setup:
    On the SC i have filled infotype "Requirement Catalogs (1778)" with a Requirement Catalogs and Requirement Catalogs for audit type 1000. I've also marked it as a "Main catalog".
    Requirement Catalogs: VAHO
    Version: 2.0
    Now in the IMG i have the following setting:
    Student Lifecycle Management -> Processes in Student Lifecycle Management -> Audits -> Requirement Catalogs -> Define Structure of Version Sets
    Set          Version       Default version
    Audit       1.0              X
    Audit       2.0
    When i exicute the Audit via PIQAUD_MP_CP it is giving me an error:
    No requirement pattern is assigned to requirement catalog VAHO, version 1.0, and audit type 1000.
    When I change the default version to 2.0 it is working correctly.
    This seems stange to me because on the SC I have said that the version 2.0 must be used.
    Am I missing something, did i missunderstood something or is it just a little bug in SLcM?
    Please help.
    Thanks a lot

    Hello Molenaar,
    You are Specifying that the requirements defined in version u2018audit 1u2019 as your current requirements of your university by setting u2018 audit 1u2019 as the default version, where as you are trying to evaluate the requirements in u2018audit 2u2019 which are not your current requirements though you have specified them in your program of study. If your current requirements are in version u2018audit 2u2019, then set u2018audit 2 u2018as the default version.
    Remember default version is always the basis for evaluating the requirements.

  • Error assigning users to application Role in Obiee 11.1.1.7.0

    Hello
    I installed Obiee 11.1.1.7.0 both on Windows and Linux platform and after that, I successfully set Active Directory integration. I have a problem assigning users to Application Role in EM. When I'm trying to search a user on Display name, the Principal userName returned is blank and the error is : Java Null Pointer Exception
    After that I install a fresh copy of 11.1.6.0. After AD Integration, I was able to assign users to Application Role. I made 11.1.1.7.0 upgrade and same error has come. I think this is a bug because same AD settings on 11.1.1.6.0 works.

    We received from Oracle a work-around of this problem.
    It seems to be related to the virtualize flag set to true. I f you set it to false the problem disappear (it works for me).
    (rif. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28280_01/bi.1111/e10543/privileges.htm#BABDCJBH)
    There's an open BUG on this problem: Bug 16808088 - 11G JAVA.LANG.NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION ADDING USER TO ROLE AFTER UPGRADE TO 11.1.1.7.

    Hi Rohit,
    I am running both LiveCycle DS ES 3.0 and WebServer Tomcat on the same machine. I made changes in services-congig.xml and now the channels are configured as follows on both client end and server end :-
    services-config.xml
       <!-- Servlet Based endpoints -->
            <channel-definition id="my-amf" class="mx.messaging.channels.AMFChannel">
                <endpoint url="http://localhost:8000/JLCAPP/messagebroker/amf" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint"/>
                <properties>
                    <polling-enabled>false</polling-enabled>
                </properties>
            </channel-definition>
            <channel-definition id="my-polling-amf" class="mx.messaging.channels.AMFChannel">
                <endpoint url="http://localhost:8000/JLCAPP/messagebroker/amfpolling" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint"/>
                <properties>
                    <polling-enabled>true</polling-enabled>
                    <polling-interval-seconds>8</polling-interval-seconds>
                </properties>

    However i am still getting following debug message :-

  • SAP APO 5.0 Assignment Table and Like Profiles

    Hello,
    Is the any way to extract all the entries in either of the like profiles or the assignment table.
    I tried the System -> List -> Save but all the options are grayed out.
    Any feedback wold be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
        I am not sure which entries you want exactly...However there are couple of tables related to like profiles in which LIKEID is there.
    /SAPAPO/DP440G- Master Forecast Profile (APO0300)
    /SAPAPO/FCST_LC -  Assignment Table: Lifecycle Profiles to Charact. Value
    /SAPAPO/FCST_LC1 - Assignment Table: Lifecycle Profiles to Charact. Value
    /SAPAPO/T445LIKE -  Table for LIKE Dependencies
    /SAPAPO/T445LIKK - Header Table for LIKE Dependencies
    /SAPAPO/T445LIKT - Text Table for Like Profiles
    /SAPAPO/T445LIPR - Table for Life Cycle Planning
    I hope this will help you at some extent..

  • Basic Settings for Lifecycle planning

    Hello All,
    I want to maintain the basic settings of Life Cycle Planning to use Like Profile
    Transaction: /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST1 - Lifecycle Planning
    My question is; is it a must to use 9AMATNR and 9ALOCNO characteristics in our POS?
    I have seen the sentence below in OSS note: 354660
    **If you are using a characteristic for a product and do not want to use the 9AMATNR characteristic, you must specify the characteristic you would like to use.The 9AMATNR characteristic must exist in the planning object structure if you want to use it as a characteristic for a product.Only then can a LIKE profile be used.In this regard, see the information on the /SAPAPO/FCST_LIKE user parameter in note 350065.**
    What I understand from this sentence is that 9AMATNR is not an obligatory characteristic to use in POS for the purpose of life cycle planning.
    However when I do not use 9AMATNR I receive such an error message during the maintenance of Basic Settings for Life Cycle Planning.
    *Errors have been found in your Customizing settings
    *For detailed information, see consulting note #354660
    *The basic settings cannot be saved
    *Characteristic for product 9AMATNR is not in the planning object structur
    So, does anybody know if is it a MUST to keep the 9AMATNR in the POS for lifecycle planning? May be I am doing wrong something else...
    Thanks in advance

    While in DP MPOS you are free to choose custom characteristics for location and product, there are certain DP functionalities like Promotion Planning which normally uses 9AMATNR as characteristic for Product. In such cases the DP MPOS in absence of 9AMATNR has an issue. Through this assignment of location and product in the MPOS, system knows the custom characteristic that needs to be mapped to 9AMATNR and 9ALOCNO for product and location.
    This is useful during release from DP to SNP also.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    somnath

  • Slow performance during Apply Request Values Phase of JSF lifecycle

    Dear all,
    I found that my application is sucked at the Apply Request Values Phase of JSF lifecycle when I submit the page. (Totally spend 1 min to pass this phase)
    In the application, there is around 300 input fields in the page. Who know how can I ehance the performace?
    Thanks.

    Thanks a lot for your help. Maybe I explain more about my current structure
    I need to develop a input form for course instructor to input students' assignment / examination result (max 9 assignments and 1 examination).
    so that I have below coding:
    *1. bean to store marks of a student*
    public class Mark {
    private String studentID = "";
    private String mark1 = "";
    private String mark9 = "";
    private String markExam = "";
    //getter & setter of above properties
    public void setMark1(String mark1) {
    this.mark1 = mark1;
    public String getMark1() {
    return this.mark1;
    *2. backing bean*
    public class markHandler {
    ArrayList<Mark> marks = new ArrayList<Mark>();
    //getter & setter of above property
    //method to retrieve list of student (this will be the action before go in mark input page)
    public void getStudentList() {
    //get student list from database
    for(int i = 0 ; i < studentCount; i++){
    //initial mark of student
    Mark mark = new Mark();
    mark.setStudentID(studentID);
    mark.setMark1("");
    mark.setMarkExam("");
    //put into arraylist
    marks.add(mark);
    *3. mark input page*
    <html>
    <h:dataTable value="#{markHandler.marks}" var="e">
    <column>
    <h:output value="#{e.studentID}" />
    </column>
    <column>
    <h:input id="mark1" value="#{e.mark1}" />
    </column>
    <column>
    <h:input id="mark1" value="#{e.markExam}" />
    </column>
    </h:dataTable>
    <h:commandButton action="#{markHandler.save} />
    </html>
    When I submit the page, It seems that there is a long time spent at the input field of datatable at Apply Request Values Phase. (I use Phase Listeners to test the time difference before & after phase)
    Pls help. Thanks.

  • Error Lifecycle planning Basic settings

    Hi Gurus
    i got an error when iam creating Life cycle planning Basic settings
    Error Detail Message-
    Analysis of the lifecycle planning customizing setting
    errors have been found in your customizing settings.
    The Basic settings cannot be saved
    Characterstic for product 9amatnr is not in the planning Objce structure.
    For detailed information, see consulting note #354660.
    we are using Z9amatnr character for product, Plz kindly provide the solution what is this error how to resolve, as iam new to the APO.

    Hello,
    The above is the general solution for this error.
    Could you please check again that the below settings?
    1)In /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN, the characterisitc assignment as Product
    2)In /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST1, the charactersitic specified as Product
    They should be the same characteristic, and should be your customizing characteristic instead of 9AMATNR.
    Best Regards,
    Ada

  • Error while assigning a character value to a numeric variable.

    I fire a sql statement and check the number of rows returned by the sql.
    I check this result with the application logs.
    The application logs keeps the sqls fired by the application and the no of rows returned, in the example below the sql returned 8454 rows.
    My script compares the two results.

    if [ $resA -eq $resB ]; then
    echo "QA passed for sql1"
    else
    echo "QA failed for sql1"

    The problem is as resB is integer variable it does not accept character value: 8,454 so returns a syntax error:
    How do I change the value assigned to resB into a numeric variable?
    error:
    + grep 3 fields found: CLUSTER_CD, PRODUCT_DESC, TEAM_CD, BCVP_Main_Loader.qvw.log

    Change:
    resB=`grep '3 fields found: CLUSTER_CD, PRODUCT_DESC, TEAM_CD,' BCVP_Main_Loader.qvw.log | awk '{print $10}'`
    to this:
    resB=`grep '3 fields found: CLUSTER_CD, PRODUCT_DESC, TEAM_CD,' BCVP_Main_Loader.qvw.log | awk '{print $10}' | tr -d ,`
    to drop the comma. Or you could do it in awk(1):
    resB=`grep '3 fields found: CLUSTER_CD, PRODUCT_DESC, TEAM_CD,' BCVP_Main_Loader.qvw.log | awk '{ gsub( /,/, "", $10 ); print $10}'`
    Or you could to it all in awk(1):
    resB=`awk '
    /3 fields found: CLUSTER_CD, PRODUCT_DESC, TEAM_CD/ {
    gsub( /,/, "", $10 )
    print $10
    ' BCVP_Main_Loader.qvw.log`
    (This example was not tested, it's just for a model.)
    Someone more of an SQL guru than I can probably tell you how to change your numeric locale to avoid presenting those commas in the first place and avoid the problem.

    Sounds like a UI browsing bug (when no path is selected from a catalog tree folder browser) - I would suggest logging a support ticket so that it can be addressed.

  • Open and Close Posting Periods According to G/L Account Assignment Objects

    Hi,
    Can anybody please explain me how configurations related to " Open and Close Posting Periods According to G/L Account Assignment Objects " works in SAP FICO? I am confused about this config.
    Regards,
    Mandeep

    Hi Mandeep ,
    First i would like to tell about fiscal year
    fiscal year is nothing but a financial year of company in sap . it contain 12 normal periods and 4 special periods.In genaral we will call like month but that is sap that is a period. so 12 period for 12 months ok next special period will use in all companies for audit and tax adjustment purpose of previous year.
    coming to the open and close periods.in sap for security purpose we have to open one period like this month july so i opened july period only we cant post the pervious month (june)and we cant post future month lik in (Auguest)ok
    You can close and open periods by transaction ob52.
    In transaction ob52 there are account types
    + Valid for all account types
    A Assets
    D Customers
    K Vendors
    M Materials
    S G/L accounts
    V Contract accounts
    + means all types. if you want to open vendor then enter period from and to according to your fiscal year.
    you cant adjust items in closed period. if you want to then you have to open the period
    For your information.....
    posting periods also open user level tc S_ALR_87003642.
    customization levael OB52.
