Assign Status Profile upon BP Creation

Hi all,
Is there a way to default a Status profile and the Initial User profile upon BP creation?
I have Status Profile: ZTEST which has inside 3 User Statuses:
1 - Start (Initial)
2 - Middle
3 - End
I need to have ZTEST automatically assigned and "Start" set as the first Status.

thanks again for your patience.
I am sorry to look dumb but I cannot solve my problem yet.
I have done the following Steps:
I have created status profile ZTest
I have defined 3 user statuses with the following settings:
Status Number - Status - Text - Initial Status - Lowest - Highest - Position - Priority
1 - DRFT - Draft - X - 1 - 3 - 1 - 1
2 - APVD - Approved - - 2 - 3 - 1 - 1
3 - CANC - Cancelled - - 3 - 3 - 1 - 1
I have select Object Type "Business Partner"
When I go in the Transaction control (for each single User Status) and I press "New", two transactions are displayed:
Business Partner Usage
Change (Business Partner)
And for each of these I can define No influence, Allowed, Warning, Forbidden (the remaining columns, i.e. No action, Set, Delete, do not have the radio button below).
Moreover, going in the Object type transaction, I find "Object type does not set initial status".
Whichever combination I try in assigning Transaction control to user statuses, nothing changes in the BP creation transaction (i.e. I can assign any User Status).
Where am I wrong?
I cannot find the place where I assign the transaction to the user status.
I need user status to maintain approvals of Master Data. No need to block transactions etc. What my user expects is to go to BP transaction, press Create Person or Organization, and find there the ZTEST profile with the Draft user status setting AUTOMATICALLY ASSIGNED. So far the ZTEST is to be assigned manually and the initial user status can be selected without restrictions (i.e. I can select Draft, Approved or Cancelled). Anyway, once assigned e.g. Draft, the possible user status changes are correct according to the Low-High status settings.

How to assign status profile to components in service order

Hi,
For my business requirement, I want to assign status to individual components planned in the service order. Even though there is a status button on the component tab, there is no config where I can assign the status profile. We can only assign status profile to the order header and the operations and not to components level.
As SAP has provided the status button in the component tab, I am hoping that there is a way to assign the status to the parts planned.

How to assign status profile to marketing campaign ?

Dear Friends,
I am working on Marketing Campaign (SAP CRM 4.0) : I want to customize a new status profile for campaign. I create a new one and I don't know where I assign it to camapign : I searched in SDN and I found a message : "to assign status profile, you have to do when you customize campaign type : Marketing -> Marketing Planning and Campaign Management -> Basic Data -> Define Campaign Types/Objectives/Tactics : in this customizing point, when you define campaign type, here is a status profile field".
The problem is I did not find any "status profile" field in this customizing point.

Pls follow below said path to create User Status profile
CRM--> Marketing > Marketing Planning and Campaign Management> General Setting --> Change Status Profile for User Status
Once you create Status profile you can see the same in the profile field of Campaign. You will have to assign this profile in the campaign then you can see the statusses in Change Status field,. But these stausses can not over write the system statusses.

1.i have a requirement that once the account is created manually one at a time and while saving bp, a "opportunity"/lead transaction should get created automatically, this we can achieve with the help of action workflow ...can some body tell me how to configure it...exactly where we can assign action profile to BP.
2. once sales manager makes any changes to BP master, change update should trigger action workflow to inform all employee responsible automatically about changes.
please help me it's critical....

Assign status profile automatically when upload documents in cFolder

Is there any way to make the automatic assignment of a state profile to documents that are upload into a collaboration of cFolder?
At this time we do it manually, but carries to assign the state profile every time we upload a new document.

Use FM CFX_API_STATUS_PROFILE_ASSIGN somewhere in any user exit or BADI (let me know the scenario)
we pass status profile GUID and the Folder / Doc /collaboration GUID into the FM and it attaches the status profile to desired object.

Maintain authorization key (authorization code) in status profile.
We do not assign directly to user. We assign to role E.g sales manager / sales employee etc...
We assign T.codes to role and assign role to user.
Goto Role T.code PFCG. Enter role and click on change button.Goto Authorizations tab.
Click on authorization data .
Expand the Cross-application Authorization Objects tree. Expand Status Management: Set/Delete User Status using Transaction.
Click on Authorization key button, assign Authorization key.
Click on status profile. assign status profile.

Reg change in the status profile in the process order

Dear all,
By default one status profile ZPI0001 has been assigned to an order type ZP10 in a plant, the requirement is at the time of process order creation we want to change the status profile to ZPI0002 and create . this is applicable for one plant only

I am not sure why do you need different status profile at the creation of process order...
First define the status profile ZPI0002 using Tcode BS01/BS02 and assign it to the order type ZP10 using CORN. The same order type is defined to plant using COR4..Here you can only have only one status profile for each order type, however, you can define different custom user status for the status profile..Say ZOCL - Order Completely closed after system status TECO to stop all goods movements...You can't have separate status profile while creating process order and at other stage of process order..Gurus please correct me if I am wrong..

Hi George,
There are are two types of statuses.One is system status and second one is user status.These statuses will tell us current situation of an order.
We can't change system statuses.But we can create our own statuses through status profile.With this profile we can control user statuses.
In this status profile,
1.We define the sequence in which user statuses can be activated,
2.We define initial statuses
3. Allow or prohibit certain business transactions.
Selection profiles are used to select the objects (say production orders) with different status combinations.We assign status profiles to selection profiles in BS42 T-Code.

Status Profile at item category

Anybody could tell me please how to get "object status" button appeared at item line level without assigning status profile to item category.

If you assign the status profile to your item category then only it will appear at the item level in the status tab.
Or you can try in the below path so that the status can be seen in overview screen
SPRO-Sales & Distribution-sales--Sales Documents--Define Display Status in the Overview Screen

Sales order status profile

Hi,
I have made a sales order status profile & assigned it. It is working fine. However, i am having difficulty in assigning authorisations to the particular users. The Basis consultant has advised that it is a purely functional issue. How do i go about authorising the particular users to status profiles.

Hello,
Use Tcode PFCG. Enter role and click on change button. Authorizations tab.
Click on authorization data .
Expand the Cross-application Authorization Objects tree. Expand Status Management:
Set/Delete User Status using Transaction.
Authorization key button, assign Authorization key.
status profile. Assign status profile.
Maintain authorization key (authorization code) in status profile with Basis help
To add authorization code use Tcode BS52.

How to change the status profile of equipment?

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to change the user status profile for already created equipment? I tried to change the assignment of status profile to equipment category and found it works only for new equipments. It is not applicable to already created equipments. The status of the status profile is already used in equipments.

No you can not change status profile assigned with already created equipment.
Eg. You assigned status profile 00000003 to equipment category M of equipment. so whnever any new equipment created will get status profile 00000003 only.
For your case, dont make any change status profile no .00000003--> make whatever changes you have to made about status naming,sequence keeping same status profile.
After that goto equipment change master edit>change category>selet same category for assignment. so equipment will get same status profile with status changed.

Status profile could not be set according to transaction type

Hello,
Error Status profile 'ZXXXXXXX' could not be set according to transaction type 'ZYYYYYY'.
Possible causes are:
1. Status profile 'ZXXXXXXX' has not been assigned to object type COH by the system administrator.
2. Initial statuses can be set in status profile 'ZXXXXXXX', which cannot be set using the current document attachment.
3. The current user XXXXXXX does not have the authorization to set an application status.
Though i have assigned Object type COH . and the user has the autherization. Pls Help.

Please check you have assigned status profie to object type that is using this status profile. Ex. If you are assigning status profile to campaigns , you also need to check mark object type campaign under allowed objects types.

Just to ray some hints for you related with Status Profile:
A status can allow, prohibit or issue a warning for any subsequent process. A status profile is then assigned to the document type for the header or the item category for the item.
Example: User status for the order
IMG -> S&D -> Sales->Sales document -> define and assign status profile
1.Define status profiles
2.Assign order types / status profiles-----same for VOV8
3.Allocate status profile to item categories------Same for VOV7
To define and change status profiles for any of the documents you can use transaction BS02. The status profile needs to contain following information:
1. Object type: sales order header, sales order item etc.
2. Business transaction: create, change etc.,
3. Influence: The transaction has:
        a. no influence
        b. permitted
        c. warning
        d. disallowed
4. Call up BS02 again->choose one user status->double click->New entry-> Set the Influence for business transactions->Save->Display again->
5. Allocate the profile to the order type u2018ORu2019 (VOV8)
A status object will be created for an item in any of the following cases:
1.The item has been customized to get an own CO object (VBAP-KZVBR = 'E')
2.Calculated costs determination is active (T459K-KALKU <> SPACE) for the requirement class of the item
3.A user status profile has been assigned to the item (TVAP-STSMA <> SPACE)
4.Export control is active for the sales document type (TVAK-EXCOK <> SPACE)
5.The item is a repair item
In all other cases, no status object will be created. You can trace through the FV45PF0S_STATUS_OBJEKT_ANLEGEN to understand why a status object is created or not created in your case.
So, that´s it.

Status profile for MDF Initiative

Hi All,
I want to create action profile for MDF initiative & for this status profile is required. I have not assaigned any staus profile to MDF Initiative, still different status are available in MDF Initiave. It is not the system generated status also. Now my question is, from whetehr the MDF Initiative is picking up different status..?

Thanks for the reply. MDF Initiative is not a transaction type. If you want to have a look at it, please refer it in Marketing planning & campaign management --> Basic Data --> Define Types/Objectives/Tactics. If you go for a detail view of MDF initiative, you will be able to see the option to assign status profile & action profile. As if now both are blank (Not assigned to any profile), still the initiative is picking up different status when you try to create the initiative from the MDF Program. These different status are not system status.
Now, my question is from where the initiative is picking up these different status..? Hope I have made it clear now, please do let me know if you any clarifications.
