hi...i am in production server now and when i try to load data from psa to the dso in bw, i having the error called = Assign_Type_Conflict when execute the dtp process. Since i am in prod server, i cannot do any changes directly in prod, is there any way can troubleshoot this without doing any transport from the dev to prod?? Help needed alot here.

HI please follow following steps:
The transformation(s) involved must be newly activated or you must reset the generation status:
Carry out the following steps to reset the status:
Call Transaction 'RSSGPCLA'
Place the cursor on the 'RSTRAN_MASTER_TMPL' program class.

  • ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT

I am getting a fatal error short-dump ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT while executing DTP---  0CO_OM_WBS_6 -> ODS_01. I have checked all the mappings. All are correct. Even I kept only 2 characterstics and one key figure (that is also constant value), but i got the same error.
I saw the SAP Notes. it advise that the complete design (ODS, transformation, DTP) should be activated. I did it. But I m getting the same error(short-dump).
    Short-dump description is as follows:
rror in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "GP4A1N0850K4T7RMBJJDJ8V7DG9" had to be terminated
    because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

    409     rdtTG_1_dp         = rTG_1->get_empty_table( ).
    >>>>     assign rdtTG_1_dp->*         to <_yt_TG_1>.
In above line error is prsent.
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Rakesh Jangir

    Hi Rakesh,
Do you have written any code in the transformation, if so then please check the code first. If you are calling any finction module in that then please look for the data type's for the import and export parameter's.
Once again activate everything, from cube to DTP and then again run it.
If again get dump then you can also do debugging of the DTP. And track out where the problem is.
    Thanks
    Dipika

  • Insert or Update data from PROD dc to DEV DB

We have one instance of a DB in PROD box and another in DEV box [unix]
Requirement is to write a script to copy data from PROD to DEV for 10 related tables.
Store Procedure will have input argument as Number or FromDt and To Date [date range]
Can anyone give step by step guide to do this? Have worked on Package proc and store proc for Oracle 8 but for long have no touch or Oracle. We have Oracle 10g at present.
    TIA.

"@PROD" uses a database link (called PROD) to access the remote table. In the definition of the database link are all the sql*net parameters necessary for one database to connect to another.
You can start by reading the SQL Reference Manual to get the basics of the CREATE DATABASE LINK statement. It has links to other manuals as well:

  • Out Of memory in prod

One of the prod clusters is running on below crashed both nodes with an out of memory exception which looks like below.
How do we get to know if the crash is due to a memory leak in the code or elsewhere?
Any inputs which helps to identify on the issue and submit data to application team supporting the need to update the systems is appreciated.

    1) Once these session is expiring, all application objects are getting garbage collected.
    2) We are seeing huge increase in String and Char[] with each submitted applicationWhere are these coming from?
Are you using any libraries like JAXB? Are you binding XML to objects?
We are using Weblogic 10.0 with jdk version 1.5.0_06. Are there any known String related memory leak issues.
My understanding is that unless we are using any static variable or application scope objects we should have any memory leakage.Apparently not.
Can someone please validate if this understanding is correct? The JVM is telling you that it's incorrect. Believe the evidence you have before you.
Your JVM settings might help. What are the settings for the GC? How big is your perm space, and how is that changing with time?
What could be other possible causes of memory leaks? We are also using private static ThreadLocal variablesSounds like the perm space is exploding in size. It fills up and you're done.
I'd recommend that you download JVMStat from Sun and watch what memory is doing as you run your test. It's not a nice graphic view of eden, old & new gen, and perm spaces that will give you an idea of what's going on. It won't tell you why. Keep drilling down with JProbe.

  • Two different plans in TEST & Prod

    hi,
we have a problem in production database where we find some sql statements running very slow.
but if you run same SQL statement in TEST it runs < 2 secs.
Production DB Prod.SchemaA  is exported into TEST DB as Test.SchemaA
When study the explain plan, we find Prod explain plan is different than test. if you create sql profile, by copying TEST explain plan, it would run faster in Production.
Now our question is why optimizer goes through two different plans when the schema structure same and data almost same in two databases?
Note that, we have two almost identical schema's in Production. Prod.SchemaA and Prod.SchemaB has same object names but some Prod.SchemaB may have small difference in indexes/constraints.
Users would run same SQL statement both in Prod.SchemaA & Prod.SchemaB time to time.
    thanks
    neal

You can have a clear picture about the accuracy of your statistics by getting the execution plan from memory into the TEST and PROD environment. You can proceed as follows
    PROD> alter session set statistics_level=ALL;
    PROD> execute your query;
    PROD> select * from table (dbms_xplan.display_cursor(null,null, 'ALLSTATS LAST'));
    TEST> alter session set statistics_level=ALL;
    TEST> execute your query
    TEST> select * from table (dbms_xplan.display_cursor(null,null, 'ALLSTATS LAST'));
This will give an execution plan showing the estimations(E-Rows) done by the CBO and the Actual (A-Rows) rows generated allowing you to judge the accuracy of your statistics.
The predicate part of the execution plan can also show inportant information.

  • Problem with prod. ver. explosion to production order

    Hi
I have problem with production versions. I have FERT with 3 production versions. Additionaly we have Z-program (on Z-table) which control parameter sold to party (from sale order) with production version. So after MRP I see in planned order right production version for example 3 - field PLAF-VERID; in master data in planned order I see right alternative BOM and routing; but when I make a conversion to production order I see that system always explode 1st version; additionaly in planned order in components (button)  I see 1st pr.ver (1st alternative BOM) and in Bill of Material (it seems like to manually expolding BOM) I see right version??? But it couldn't be like this that to have right data I need to go to transaction MD12, explode BOM manully, save and after that make a prod. ord.
I would like to system explode BOM according to production version (field VERID) already in planned order; so after that it should be that when I will converted it to production order I should have right BOM and right routing from production version signed in planned order.
I know it sounds complicated Add. in configuration all parameters are set right to explode BOM etc. etc. system version: 4.7
    Thanks and regards. Joanna
Additional info: I cancel this question cause problem is in Z-program; becuase when according to Z-table system change input in field VERID for system it is only "digital" not parameter for which system should explode right BOM; sorry for disturbing, we need to change Z-programm; I do not know how but maybe any function module can help - we will think. • Open PIR quantity, unconverted Pld orders and open Prod/ STO orders

    Dear all,
How to deal with open PIR quantity, unconverted planned orders and open production/ STO orders in the next MRP run? Do we need to delete/ reduce them manually?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Raghu

    Hi Shiva,
Thanks for your immediate response. I have still some confusion.
Last month, I have material A with Production order quantity of 30000.
'A' has a component 'B' which is an in-house produced material. Three planned orders each of 10000 were generated for B. Of these two planned orders were converted to production orders. One is still in planned order form.
This month I am not going to use this planned order of B. I get new requirement for A. So during MRP run I get the planned orders for B also.
For the last month requirement, as I have not converted one planned order of B to prod order, there will an open quantity of A prod order in this plant and open STO quantity in another plant. Again the PIR will also be not reduced to the same extent. If I reduce the PIR manually or through some reorganization, what about the open quantity of prod order and STO
I think I can TECO the prod order of A. Is there any such thing for STO also?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Raghu

  • SWF file is not working in Portal PROD System

    Hi All,
We have written custom mxml script in Adobe Flex 3 which displays the list of applications stored in the DB. Then we have posted that .swf file into our Portal KM and then we have created one URL iView with the location from KM.
These days we are facing issue like the output of the script is not working means the applications are not listed on the portal prod system.
Whenever the issue arieses we are requested to upload the file once again into KM and it works after the upload been done.
We are not sure what could be the reason for this issue and I request any one to assist us to resolve this issue.
Please let me know if you need more info on this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Vijaykumar K.

    Hi Vijay,
I belive this should be a portal issue, anyways let me give it a try.
I never worked on flex in SAP but did similar stuff in portal content development.
Do you have any traces in that development..?
Did you check any messages being loged in portal...?
Check if there is any issue with the file like couldn't recognise a resource from KM which is required etc.
    Cheers,
    Sai

  • Moving XI transports from QA to Prod server

    Hello,
We are getting ready to send our XI transports from the QA server to the production server.  We are currently using the file transfer method - we have not yet finished setting up the CMS server.
    Now my question is this:
For the Integration Repository, am I supposed to send the same file created from our dev server to the production server, or do I create a new transport file from our QA box and send that file to production?  Same question applies to the Integration Directory.
For example, the FileA.tpz gets created in the dev server, exported to the QA server.  Developers are done testing in QA and want to move the objects to production.  Should I export the same FileA.tpz to the production box OR generate a new transport file from the QA server (FileB.tpz) and send that to production box instead?
    Thanks in advance.

    Joy,
Ideally you should move from Dev  to QA and from QA to Prod. Then everything will be in sync. If you move directly from Dev to Prod and if there any changes then they will not be in QA. So this should not happen.
Because only after developement you will move to QA. Once when you test in QA then you will move to Production from QA.

  • Not getting Page from Prod server

    Hi All,
I have set two pager email Id in my prod server
I have a job when this job succeed then it will send a page to both email ID
Job ran successfully and both Email ID did not get any single page about this
when I checked in operator history in Most recent notification it shows that page has been sent on expected time.
Same I have try with Dev server it's working fine Only difference in Pro and Dev job is: In prod job taking 4 hour and in Dev job taking 5 min.

Yes Job history shows success  (Operator Paged
    SQLDBAONCALL)
Email profiles are also fine  (I am getting mail for other job  )
there is no log for in sql server as well as sql server agent error log
Dev and prod are using same mail ID
    Hi ImranKazi,
According to your description, the operator does not receive an e-mail in Production environment. I recommend you configure database mail in Production environment, then send a test e-mail to the operator’s e-mail address. We need to verify if your profile
and account are configured correctly. For more information, see:
    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/29060/SQL-SERVER-Configure-Database-Mail-Send-Email
After setting up database mail successfully, if you want to set  up an alert to an e-mail operator with a message, you need to define an operator and alert , restart SQL Agent to activate settings. When you execute the job successfully,
it will send an alert to the operator. I have done a test in SQL Server 2012, it can run well. There is an similar issue about
how to setup SQL Server alerts and email operator notifications, you can review it.

  • Loof -i output showing webcache on prod EBS iSupplier (but not in dev/test)

    Hi,
I inherited an Linux EBS install (12.0.6) with iSupplier on an external web server. The web server is front-ended by a reverse proxy. Using lsof -i to look at the ports I noticed a difference between my Test and Production environments.
In production the lsof output contains a number of the following entries:
    httpd     7062     applp25     18u     IPv4     521062911     TCP     *:webcache     (LISTEN)
    httpd     7062     applp25     32u     IPv4     546736321     TCP     pwk-sv-wb10.foo.bar :webcache->pwk-ap-ap3.foo.bar:11940     (ESTABLISHED)
applp25 is the applmgr account and pwk-ap-ap3 is the reverse proxy.
In my test environment I do Not see anything related to webcache and when I do see communication back to the proxy it’s always been on the Web port
    e.g.
    httpd 13149 applt25 32u IPv4 547891775 TCP pwk-sv-wbt10.foo.bar:8040->pwk-ap-ap3.foo.bar:11963 (ESTABLISHED)
I don’t do anything different starting/stopping processes in Prod, Test or Dev e.g. adstrtal.sh.
While I understand that Oracle has Web caching technologies I don’t have any experience with them and am not quite sure when to begin looking. Obviously I plan on comparing the context files, etc., just hoping for some suggestions on where else to look and references I should look at.
    Thanks in Advance
    ken

Solved....for some reason /etc/services as distributed in Redhat (others ?) has port 8080 associated with webcache

  • Modified CRM application doesn't deployed in PROD server.

    Hello SDN!
We have DEV and PROD runtime systems for CRM developing. Our custom CRM application successfully deployed to the DEV server many times. But transport to the PROD server hasn't any effect - our application doesn't exists in PROD server.
In CMS we assemble CRM SCs (SAP-CRMAPP, SAP-CRMDIC, SAP-CRMWEB, SAP-SHRAPP, CUSTCRMPRJ, SAP-SHRWEB), approve it and finally import in in "Production" tab. There was no error during this process.
I don't want post whole SDM log since it' huge, here is a begin:

    Regards, Lev

    Hi Lev,
Please ensure that you have mainted the j2ee engine hostname, port number and userid/password details for deployment onto the server.
The same can be checked in CMS --> Landscape configurator -->Runtime systems tab.

  • Field Status review between Dev and Prod.

    Hello All,
During solving one of the ticket, I found that there are some difference in selection of some of fields as suppress, optional and compulsory for account groups with screen layout (customers) - (T. Code - OBD2) between Development and Production server. Now I would like to test for all account groups between Prod and Development. It is taking lot of time to see screen by screen.
Can any body throw some light on this regarding any alternative way or can we download table information ?
Thanks in advnace for your cooperation.
    Regards,
    santosh

    Try this:
    transaction: SE16
    Table: T077D
    Execute
Do same in both systems and compare.
Once you identified differences go back into the transaction as mentioned - OBD2- for detail analysis.

  • Template working in prod and not in dev

    folks,
I have a report where i use a etext template..
I have same query in dev and prod..same template and even xml is identical..But when I view output as text in prod server, it works fine..But in dev server its showing blank. That too when viewing output type as "text". CSV and XML types work but not "text".
I tried to view output Through "Template Viewer" on desktop. I was able to view it. But only when trying to view on server, it is returning a blank report.
Is there any server property I need to set for etext templates?
Prod version  and dev version of BI publisher is also same: 10.1.3.4.1
    any ideas..

    Hi,
use the analysis function for plan cost estimates. You can start the report by entering the code SUR in the OK code field on the result screen of the cost estimate. See SAPNET note 428340 for details.
    best regards, Christian
