Assigning new VIP interface

Hello,
We are building a clusterware implementation to protect a oracle SINGLE instance DB (using the well known pdf
guide) and a 3rd party application (i'll call it APP). We want to assign 2 virtual IPs, one for the DB and one for
the APP. The fact is that we want to split the traffic to 2 ethernet cards by assigning IP to boths of them. The problem is that I cannot assign VIPs to the second network card. Some facts:
Oracle 10g2
oifcfg -getif:
eth0 192.168.0.0 global public
eth1 192.168.0.0 global public
eth2 192.168.3.0 global cluster_interconnect
crs_stat -t -v (truncated)
rg1 application ONLINE esm1
rg1.lsn application ONLINE esm1
rg1.vip application ONLINE esm1 << Bound on eth0 WORKS
rg1.db application ONLINE esm1
arcVIP applcation OFFLINE esm2 << Bound on eth1 problem
command used to create APP VIP:
crs_profile -create arcVIP -t application -a $CRS_HOME/usrvip -o oi=eth1,ov=192.168.0.10,on=255.255.255.0
crs_register arcVIP
crs_setperm arcVIP -o root
crs_setperm arcVIP -u user:oracle:r-x
crs_start arcVIP
trying to start bring the following vip log on both nodes:
Interface eth1 checked failed (host=esm1)
Invalid parameters, or failed to bring up VIP
I also cannot run vipca (various java library error-no time to debug a program too)
Is it possible to give a hint of what is going on? Is it possible that the same subnets pose problem?

the main IP address of the interface is pingable by the way

Currently the only VIP assigned to the hosts is the application VIP for the oracle
instance (created according to the pdf "protecting a single instance DB with Clusterware")
It is assigned on eth0/192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0
The second interface is eth1/192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0
I was told that the overlapping subnets do not pose a problem.
I have removed the default VIPs assigned to each host during the clusterware installation because
i am solely interested in application vips failed over to the surviving node.
I used crs_unregister ora.racnode[x].vip
crsd.log shows nothing except the failure to bring up the VIP
/var/log/messages shows nothing.
The vip was crs_setperm to owner root and read execute to oracle user.

I am currently on ehp4, sp4. I had a requirement to change the format of the form to display the posting. Hence i took the help of the node: technical settings>User Interfaces>Administrator and Recruiter>General Settings>Assign Values to Interface Parameters. Here i user the parameter: FORM_PUBL_INT_DOVR and parameter value as the new Z form created. The new form was visible in the publication area of the job posting.
But when i try to view the form by searching the job posting (as a candidate), it is still displayed in the old format. i.e when i try to view the posting using the posting search functionality.
Can anybody please tell me what is the configuration left from my side
Note: Majority of my application is a BSP application

Please do the entry in the table V77RCF_PRM_PL for custom entries. Also check the table T77RCF_UI_PARAM whether correct form is used or not ??

WLC, mapping new dynamic interface to an already used port

This is my question
We have a multiple wlc deployment and a wlan which is running dhcp issues (scopes exhausted)
The main Wlan is mapped to a dynamic interface group (2 vlans), both vlans are mapped to a single physical port
adding a new dynamic interface (vlan) to the interface group is needed,
- a new dynamic interface will be created and mapped to the same physical port of the other two (3 vlans)
- the new interface will be addad to the interface group
the question is:
does this operation will require some network downtime (controller reboot,ap reboot... etc.) or will it be a seamless operation?

Does this mean, when utilizing an 802.1x WLAN in an AP Group, you can not dynamically assign an interface via radius because itw ill be ignored due to the AP Group settings? If so, that seems short sited to me?
AAA override get priority when AAA override and AP group is used. the debug client output should show site specific over-ride for AP group initially and once it goes into .1x auth it will return the overrided vlan.

Assign new Item revisions to Multiple Organizations

Hi All,
We are creating New item revision for an existing item in Master Organization and want to assign new item Revision to all the child organizations because we got nearly 100 child organizations.
I know we can achieve this by implementing ECO. But we are not using ECO module.
Please let me known any concurrent program, Interface or API through which I can achieve.
Your valuable inputs are highly appreciable.

Replay : Yap Item assigned to all Orgs.
b)Is the Item having centralized control for all the 100 orgs?
Replay : Yap its centralize users can change only at Master Org.

Issue in assigning new Planning Calendar for MRP.

Hello Experts
I have trouble in setting up new Planning calendar for S&OP and MRP process. Let me explain in details
Requirement is, currently I am using standard country specific Factory calendar format (monthly period) per plant. But new requirement has came up and Company wants to change beginning and end of period (monthly) -- as shown below
Current Calendar
1 July to 31 July = period 1 - 2014
1 Aug to 31 Aug = Period 2 - 2014
and so on..
New requirement is ( Last week of Friday is end of Period)
Sat 28 June to Fri 25 July = Period 1 - 2014
Sat 26 July to Fri 29 Aug = Period 2 - 2014
Sat 30 Aug to Fri 3 Oct = Period 3 - 2014
and so on..
(basic concept is to keep
4wk, 5wk, 5wk for Quarter 1
4wk, 4wk, 5wk for Quarter 2. and so on.. )
I have setup new planning calendar in MD25..
ie. min period, start of period not a working day, Calculation rule & Period etc...
then assigned new planning calendar in MM02 - MRP2 and also in MRP1 used Lot size PK... etc..
But when i Put demand in MC88.. which gives us std month format and transfer to DM, then Ran MRP but some how MRP is not creating correct Qty in planned demand as per new calender..
i.e.. 1 July to 31 July = period 1 - 2014 if total demand Qty for Material XYZ is : 50
I am expecting planned demand result in MRP as... Sat 28 June to Fri 25 July = Period 1 - 2014 - should be 50 in total.. but It's not..
Any reason? Or I am missing some settings?

Business wants planning calendar in this format. And Fiscal Year Variant has also been set according to new calendar.
KK, Regarding MC88 there is no option to incorporate planning calendar into S&OP process. And Organisation's S&OP process is set from day one (Planning by ProdGrp/Material) so MD61 would not be a good option to use.
Umesh, regarding "start of period not a working day", I have selected "do not displace". And 27/09 and 27/12 dates are set holiday. The major issue here is: Not every 4th Sat of month is Period start day, MRP is picking new planning calendar (defined in above table) from the system But some how when transferring forecast data from planning table to demand management (MC88), system don't recognize new planning calendar and it distributes demand over weekly bucket per regular month Calendar instead of new planning calendar..
Some how I need to incorporate new planning calendar into S&OP setup somewhere, Any thoughts?

Thunderbolt to Firewire Adapter & New Network Interface Message

I am using the new Thunderbolt to Firewire Adapter. Why is it that every time I use it, I get the following message:
"A new network interface has been detected. The Thunderbolt FireWire Slot 2 network interface has not been set up. To set up this interface, use network preferences."
All I want to do is mount external hard drives that don't have Thunderbolt ports to my iMac, via Thunderbolt because I am using the iMac's single Firewire port for something else. The drives do successfully mount, but why do I keep getting this message whenever I connect them again?

I have no doubt what you say to do would get rid of the message for me. However, both myself and an Apple Store employee think it is odd that the message comes up in the first place. We're both curious about it, and he's going to look into it.
We tested it on a computer at the store, and found that it happens on Lion too.

Can I change two devices of my Id and assign new id's and still access the same cloud.

After ISO8 my sons iPad rings when I receive a call. I have two 5c's and an iPad under one apple id. Can I assign a new id to my wife's phone and my son's iPad and then all of use the same cloud under the new update? Will my wife lose her contacts? Im thinking what I need to do is start both devices from scratch and assign new id's with different emails and then add them to family sharing. UML290 & Mac: A new network interface has been detected

I have a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, and I just purchased a Pantech UML290 4G modem, live in an area with good 4G coverage, and I get a good 4G signal. I am running VZAccess Manager version 7.2.5, and in general it connects to the 4G network fine and stays connected. Every time I connect the modem to my laptop, Mac OS generates a "A new network interface has been detected" pop up with the option to Cancel or go to Network Preferences. Canceling makes it go away.
I also see 4 devices under System Preferences > Network:
1. Verizon UM290 (which shows connected, not sure why it's missing the L in UML)
2. Pantech UML290 USB Modem
3. Pantech UML290 USB Serial
4. Pantech UML290 USB CM
Does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying message every time I connect the modem? Thanks.

I have the same set up. Get the same messages almost everytime I start up the UML290. Not sure why I occasionally don't get it. Many others on the forum have reported this as well. For now, we live with it.

Where is the "apps" menu item in the new iTunes interface?

Where is the “apps” menu item in the new iTunes interface? I can no longer transfer files from my PC to my iPhone.
I just downloaded and installed the updated iTunes for my iPhone. I cannot find the “apps” menu item anywhere. How can I continue to download various types of files FROM my PC (Windows 7) TO my iPhone? I previously did this by clicking on the “apps” menu item and going from there. I cannot find the “apps” anywhere on the new iTunes. Thanks.

Tonefox, no it's not under "Music" but I did some more digging and found where Apple has "hidden" Apps on their latest iTunes for PC. You need to click on "iPhone" (upper right menu item) to display more menue items, of which Apps is one of them. When I had clicked on "iPhone" before, I mistakenly closed the the iPhone option from view because I clicked on the up arrow next to iPhone, instead of just iPhone. Once you click on iPhone, the options look similar to what they did in the earlier version of iTunes and you can easily find Apps.

Assigning New GL against symbolic Account

Hello Group,
I have to assign new GL account against the already existing GL account which is mapped with some symbolic a/c. This was required since earlier GL account mapping was wrong.
In the configuration I have a confusion on delimiting the earlier GL a/c mapping. If I delimit old GL mapping a new line item comes with new date validity. Should I keep the GL account blank in the new line item GL mapping and mapped with new GL? Can anybody provide step by step procedure how to go about configuration?

The old GL Account is no more required by the FI module. They want to change with new GL account due to some issue from FI side. So I feel that I should delimit the Old GL account. Is that alright?

ISetup new custom interface using BC4J/java class

Hi,
I am able to create new custom interface using the link :- How to setup an user to be Oracle iSetup Super user ? but I have not seen anything for BC4J filter set, as per oracle iSetup developer guide clearly explains step by step process how to create custom BC4J interface type, but they have not mention how to add filters, as per oracle developer guide we have to use 'iSetup Framework' for BC4J, if we select type as 'iSetup Framework' then we don't have option to add filter parameters.
Any idea how to see existing iSetup interface repository values, Search shows the result, but we can't go in details? any idea to see this?
Oracle have good interface repository but most of them does not have option to filter, and update so I want to customize them by adding new interfaces with filterable and update option

First, be sure your properties file is in the root of the classpath.
The Messages.properties or Messages_en.properties should be in the WEB-INF/classes/ directory of the war or as a root file of a jar included in the classpath (WEB-INF/lib).
If it doesn't work, try adding a "/" before the file name. The classloader will try to find it as a root file of the classpath.
For example:
ResourceBundle messages = ResourceBundle.getBundle("/Messages", locale);
If you are using sun appserver, the classloader hierarchy is configured by default from inside the war to outside, so it will search first in the WEB-INF/classes/Messages_en.properties and then it will search the file inside each jar file in WEB-INF/lib.
If you want more information, check the classloader hierarchy of the appserver you are using.

Search Forum option missing from new forum interface

I see that we now have a new forum interface.
I was looking to search in the forum and there appears to be no search option to search messages in the forum.
This option was there in the old forum software.
Any ideas?

Ditto. It takes too long, and returns too many spurious "hits", to search through all of the forums.
Any response to this yet?
