Make sure you have doctype diclared in repository XML. It will be something like this:

• Problem with non-container managed entity manager

i am working on a project, in which i am using entity beans.i use netbeans, glassfish as application server and toplink as persistence provider .
i created a java class that handles all the operations with the entitys, which means i using non-container managed entity manager.
in the constructor
try{
EntityManagerFactory emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("voidPU");
entityManager = emf.createEntityManager();
catch(Exception ex){
throw new EJBException(ex.getMessage());
}then i call a function in this class from a servlet
the code of the function
List users = null;
try {
ProgLanguages progLanguage = entityManager.find(ProgLanguages.class, languageId);
users = (List) progLanguage.getUserIdCollection();
catch(IllegalStateException illegalStateException){
throw new EJBException(illegalStateException.getMessage());
catch(IllegalArgumentException illegalArgumentException) {
throw new EJBException(illegalArgumentException.getMessage());
}i got an IllegalArgumentException saying Unknown entity bean class: class vanguard.server.entity.ProgLanguages, please verify that this class has been marked with the @Entity annotation
what confuses me is that sometimes it works and most of the time it does not work, have i made anything wrong?, or there is a problem with any of the tools netbeans, glassfish, or toplink?

Is it always the same entity that is reported as 'unknown' ? You mention that it works sometimes but is it the same deployment and the same code that works? The first thing I would verify is that the ear is being created as expected by netbeans. Check the persistence.xml file and verify that all of the classes are listed that will be used as entities.

• ESB/File Adapter - XML files containing multiple messages

Hi,
In all the examples on file adapters I read, if files contain multiple messages, it always concerns non-XML files, such as CSV files.
In our case, we have an XML file containing multiple messages, which we want to process separately (not in a batch). We selected "Files contain Multiple Messages" and set "Publish Messages in Batches of" to 1.
However, the OC4J log files show the following error:
ORABPEL-12505
Payload Record Element is not DOM source.
The Resource Adapter sent a Message to the Adapter Framework which could not be converted to a org.w3c.dom.Element.
Anyone knows whether it's possible to do this for XML files?
Regards, Ronald

Maybe I need to give a little bit more background info.
Ideally, one would only read/pick-up small XML documents in which every XML document forms a single message. In that way they can be processed individually.
However, in our case an external party supplies multiple messages in a single batch-file, which is in XML format. I want to "work" on individual messages as soon as possible and not put a huge batch file through our ESB and BPEL processes. Unfortunately we can not influence the way the XML file is supplied, since we are not the only subscriber to it.
So yes, we can use XPath to extract all individual messages from the XML batch-file and start a ESB process instance for each individual message. But that would require the creation of another ESB or BPEL process which only task is to "chop up" the batch file and start the original ESB process for each message.
I was hoping that the batch option in the File adapter could also do this for XML content and not only for e.g. CSV content. That way it will not require an additional process and manual coding.
Can anyone confirm this is not supported in ESB?

Ronald

I had this problem - it appeared to be due to having Firefox 4 with the Firefox Sync installed as an add-on. Firefox 4 has sync included so there is no need to have it as an add-on. I went to the add-on manager and removed Firefox Sync and now appears to be working correctly.

congratulations on deciding to learn spring. that's a smart thing to do.
stop assuming that you did it correctly. the xml file is not in the classpath. when you get it there correctly, spring will find it.
you have the source files and xml in that directory, but where do the .class files end up when you run them? does the xml config end up there, too?
remember, the xml config should be in the directory where the root of the package hierarchy begins, not down where the .class files are.

• Container Managed Entity Beans and Client Identifier in Oracle

Is it possible to use Container Managed Entity Beans (EJB with CMP)
in a way that the Oracle database sessions still know the
individual Client Identifiers of the actual users
(not just the Identifier of the proxy user defined in the
Connection Pool)?
If Yes: How?
If No: The consequence would be that the
technologies EJB with CMP cannot be user together with
Oracle Virtual Private Databases (VPN) because VPN requires
some kind of Client Identifier.
I am grateful for any hint.

Not quite an auto-incrementing PK, but it is managed by the container. the following is from the turorial
Generating Primary Key Values
For some entity beans, the value of a primary key has a meaning for the business entity. For example, in an entity bean that represents a phone call to a support center, the primary key might include a time stamp that indicates when the call was received. But for other beans, the key's value is arbitrary--provided that it's unique. With container-managed persistence, these key values can be generated automatically by the EJB container. To take advantage of this feature, an entity bean must meet these requirements:
* In the deployment descriptor, the primary key class is defined as a java.lang.Object. The primary key field is not specified.
* In the home interface, the argument of the findByPrimaryKey method must be a java.lang.Object.
* In the entity bean class, the return type of the ejbCreate method must be a java.lang.Object.
In these entity beans, the primary key values are in an internal field that only the EJB container can access. You cannot associate the primary key with a persistent field or any other instance variable. However, you can fetch the bean's primary key by invoking the getPrimaryKey method, and you can locate the bean by invoking its findByPrimaryKey method.
Maybe that is good enough

• Setting composite key in Container Managed Entity Bean

In my database table i set primary key to two columns making them as composite key. how do i set that in my container managed entity bean home interface findByPrimaryKey() method and in deployment descriptor file.

1. create another class (say CompositePK) that will embed the two fields keyA and keyB corresponding to the two pk of your table (declare them public) .
2. in your Bean declare keyA and keyB public.
3. in the dd declare your bean primary-key-class as CompositePK and the primary-key-field as keyA and keyB.
this is the method i use (with BAS) even if the key is simple (such as Integer).

If you have time, check out mobil.dn.se, which gives similar error on my N900:

Which sounds like their web-programmers need some basic training. But that site is displayed correctly by Firefox 3.5.6 on my PC. I suppose that version is more tolerant to errors in the web pages? Will the mobile version of Firefox be developed to be more like the PC version in that way?

• Exchange XML document containing serialized DDIC objects

Hi,
Suppose you have an itab "z_table" with generic linetype. The table may contain any ddic structure or table.
Furhter you want to exchange the itab "z_table" between the Systems A and B using XML.
We are using the following code to serialize the itab "z_table" in system A:
DATA: g_ixml TYPE REF TO if_ixml,
g_stream_factory TYPE REF TO if_ixml_stream_factory,
g_encoding TYPE REF TO if_ixml_encoding,
ostream TYPE REF TO if_ixml_ostream.
CONSTANTS: encoding TYPE string VALUE 'utf-8'.
g_ixml = cl_ixml=>create( ).
g_stream_factory = g_ixml->create_stream_factory( ).
g_encoding = g_ixml->create_encoding(
character_set = encoding
byte_order = 0 ).
ostream = g_stream_factory->create_ostream_xstring( string = ex_xml_string ).
ostream->set_encoding( encoding = g_encoding ).
CALL TRANSFORMATION id_indent
SOURCE z_table = z_table
RESULT XML xml_string
OPTIONS data_refs = 'heap'
xml_header = 'full'.
And the following code to deserialize the itab in system B:
CALL TRANSFORMATION id_indent
SOURCE XML xml_string
RESULT z_table = z_table.
The serialization in System A creates an XML document containing <dic:z_structure> tags. If you now try to deserialize this document ("z_table")
in System B, the deserialization fails in case z_table contains DDIC structures which are not known in system B.
Is there any way to have the definition (e.g. type + length) of those ddic structures included in the XML document, so that
a deserialization is possible even if the ddic structure is not known in system B? e.g. Rendered into a XML scheme, or directly as an
attribute into the <dic:..> tag for instance?
Any ideas are appreciated..
Best regards,
Georg

Hello Raja,
many thanks first for your answer. I tried the FM and got a table with the definition details I want.
Unfortunately, I'm not really sure, how to continue working with the definition details. There are still some questions open:
- How do I proficient include these table details into my xml with my original table z_table? Would it be possible to include the table details in a way, that a "call transformation" can easily deserialize my z_table with this table details?
- How do I convert the lt_dfies table definition details back to a ddic object that I can use? Can this be done in memory only, so that I don't have to create real ddic objects on the target system?
Many thanks and kind regards, Oliver

• Sending an XML that contains CDATA to a SOAP service using wcf-webhttp adapter

I've run into a rather unique problem when trying to send an xml that contains the <![cdata[ tag to a soap service. Without the tag the xml sends through without issue. However, when I add the cdata tag within the xml, BizTalk immediately
fails without even attempting to send to the service. I receive the following error:
"The published message could not be routed because no subscribers were found. This error occurs if the subscribing orchestration or send port has not been enlisted, or if some of the message properties necessary for subscription evaluation have not
been promoted. Please use the Biztalk Administration console to troubleshoot this failure. "
I have ensured that the send adapter is enlisted and started.
This is on a BizTalk 2013 installation.
Any and all help is appreciated!
Thanks

as per my understanding, if you use the
<![cdata[ tag in sending message, BizTalk is not able to send the message as it is not matching with your send message schema that is why error 'The
published message could not be routed because no subscribers were found.....'
Please compare the message format or configured schema in send shape and message which suspended when
used <![cdata[ tag used.
