ATT return device scam

So the wife wants a new phone and I relent to going to an ATT store and paying any monthly fee. The store staff laughs at the idea that I rather own my phones outright. 2.5 weeks into the new phone it no longer makes calls and receives about 25% of the calls. That means we can no longer swap the phone at a retail location. Nearly 2 more weeks of the phone not working, countless trips to the store and tech support for hours ATT decides to send a new phone. Replacement phone number 1 arrives the 19th of June and we send back the very first defective phone the same day. Not even a couple weeks passes and the replacement phone has even worse issues. Why should I pay a monthly fee for a broken phone? So we request yet again a phone that works. That makes this phone #3 Now ATT informs me they never received replacement phone #1 and I would suspect from reading these forums might never receive number 2. All the while the retail store was useless and again about talked down to me because I actually like to own things and pay for them in cash. So now I filed a BBB complaint and will glady take ATT to court because through Newgistics they have yet to receive any phones back even though I have proof I mailed both. So ATT if you are listening  - you were a terrible company years ago and likewise you are terrible again. Not only I am a servicemember but also a DOD employee. I wish you all the best in your failed efforts at customer support, your terrible retail outlets (had I just bought the phone and had a sim installed this would be a non issues) and your dismal return process. Legally I have all the proof I need that I did right and returned the broken devices in time. I can just see it now the amount for both phones you will attempt to charge me. Good Luck!

  • Can I undo "Erase mac" setting for Stolen, but returned devices??

Can I undo "Erase mac" setting for Stolen, but returned devices?? Laptop bag with MacBook Pro, iPad and Android Tablet were stolen at a tradeshow last week - so I found the ERASE setting thru iCloud - NOW the devices are all FOUND and being shipped back to me. (HORRAY!!) But, is there a way to UNDO the Erase setting that I clicked on?

    Hello there, sunny_and72.
Great news on finding your lost devices! That has got to be a major relief. The following Knowledge Base article offers the possible ways of restoring your data onto your devices after an erase has been performed:
    iCloud: Erase your device
If you erase then find your iOS device, you can restore the information on the device using iCloud Backup (if backup was turned on before you erased it) or iTunes. For more information, see iCloud storage and backup overview, or the Safety, Handling & Support section of the iOS 8 user guide for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If your device has iOS 7 or earlier, get the user guide from the Apple Support website.
If you erase then find your Mac, you can restore the information on the Mac using a Time Machine backup. For more information, see the Apple Support article Recover your entire system. If you set an EFI firmware password on your Mac before it was lost, then erase it and later find it, you may need to take your Mac to an authorized repair center to unlock it before you can use it again.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • Waiting for a credit to be issued for a returned device that has been returned!

Since November 12, 2013 we have been waiting for Verizon to issue a credit on a returned phone for $450. Verizon has the tracking number it was delivered to the warehouse 9/25/13...We have called numerous times at least 7 or 8 times, I have sent 16 emails, I would estimate I have spent about 9 hours on the phone with Verizon, clearly you can see my phone records and I hope you look at them. We get the same story..I am going to submit a ticket to the warehouse and you will see a credit in 72 hours...It hasn't happened yet. My husband Spoke to Debbie that assured him that she was issuing the credit while they were speaking and made an agreement that when he saw the credit issued he would pay our bill...never got the credit as promised she lied to get him off the phone. This morning my phones were shut off...spend another 1:30 of my life on the phone trying to get this straightened out...I just don't get it? How can this many employee's not know what to do or how to credit a billing issue, I've called the gal at the warehouse investigation and left her messages and no returned calls. Ive emailed this one gal over and over no response. Every employee says oh yeah we did receive the equipment the warehouse blah blah blah....at this point we have been lied to repeatedly and I have lost total trust for Verizon. As a past AT&T customer of 12 yrs I thought I would receive better service and this is terrible! 4 phones that all had electrical issues and now this...In 72 hours if I don't see a credit I will be filing a report with the FCC...I just don't have any other options at this point. I cant seem to get the attention of the person can fix this.

Well this is one of Verizon's pet scams. Its normally we have not received the device back, the item was damaged, there is water damage, you sent back an empty box.
You have one good clear option. Small claims court, you will need a copy of the tracking report, a copy or receipt for sending it back to verizon, you will need a written summary of when you called verizon, the names of the people you spoke with, and telephone numbers and email addresses of the contact people you interacted with.
You will need to pay a small filing fee to the court but include the cost in your filing. Give the court the address of your billing and or a local verizon corporate store location address in your location.
You must also send a certified return receipt requested letter to the billing address in which you dispute the $450 they claim you owe. In the letter tell verizon you will pay only the amounts not in dispute, and that they cannot dunn you or turn off your service while its being hashed out. This is a Federal Law as well as a state law in many jurisdictions.
Take them to court. Also add in any expense of time off from work by the hour in your claim. Do not arbitrate under any circumstances.
Also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau http://www.BBB.org  and the Federal Communications Commission http://www.FCC.gov
    Good Luck

  • Please help, Verizon is charging me for a returned device that came up as an empty box

    Hello Everyone,
I have done all I could to right the wrong that Verizon is doing to myself and I'm sure others have experience this same issue that I'm going through. Back in April 2012, I was having issue with my phone overheating and losing charge quickly; so, I went to Verizon Wireless store and see what they could do about it. They offer to order me a certified like new replacement iphone 4s and I told them yes that will be good. A couple of days later, I received the replacement iphone. So I packed my defective iphone 4s and follow everything that was on the return instruction. I packaged it and used the smart post return label as was instructed on the paper. I went to my local USPS and dropped it off to their associate. I kept the tracking smart post label receipt; so, I could tracked it. On April 18, 2012 the phone was delivered and accepted at Ft Worth, Texas which is the Verizon Wireless warehouse. Two weeks later on May 2, 2012, I got a text msg stating that my account will be charge 500 dollars for unreturned device. I called customer service and spoke with a rep named Domenik. I asked him why was I getting charged this amount when the phone has been delivered and accepted on the 18th of April. He told me that the warehouse was slow and sometimes lazy to process it (if verizon doesn't believe me, i'm pretty sure they record this conversation call and I can ask them to play the recording of this call; so, they can hear that this was said to me). I didn't make a big deal about it as long as they are able to resolve this and take the charge of my account. Domenik proceeded to start a returned investigation form to their warehouse and gave me the form # 119072. He said that everything will be taken care of it. So, I asked again if there was anything I needed to do on my end and he said no. I took his word for it and just waited.
About couple of weeks later on May 30, 2012, right about the time I usually get my bill update from Verizon. I got the bill and it was large amount ($1,136). I called customer service again, to find out what is going on and why is my bill so high. I spoke with a rep named Gibelle and she told me that when the return investigation was done the box came with no phone. I was asking her how can that be? She was telling me that there was no phone and that I should contact their fraud department, which happened to be close by the time I called. The next day on May 31st, I spoke with a rep named Daniel who actually was helpful and polite. He took it a step further and see if he can look up the phone with the IMEI number. To verify it, I gave him the IMEI number from the original box of the iphone and it matches the one that is active since May 11 on a different Verizon Wireless account. So he tried to give me a credit pending for 849.99 which got denied since the box came as empty.
I called again to follow up and ask why are they denying it. I spoke with this rep named Aliyah, who was very rude and didn't belong in the customer service field. She wasn't very helpful and from the sound of her tone, she was suggesting if i were you I would file a police claim and telling me that this out of their hand. So I asked if I could talk to her supervisor; a moment later after being on hold, I spoke with a supervisor named Ken. I explained my situation to him and he says that he understands and that he'll open up a fraud case with their fraud department and he'll follow up with me after about 24-48 hours.
From what I have experience so far; I didn't want to rely on any Verizon employee. So I called the customer service and asked to be transferred to their fraud department. I was able to get in touch with someone in the Fraud department and get a case started. I was told it would take 3-5 business days to follow up from the date it was open (June 3, 2012). I waited after 5 business days and heard nothing. I called directly the Fraud department that following Saturday and spoke with a rep named Shannon, he told me that it looks like my case hasn't even been looked into but he said that'll he would be able to transfer me to someone who can have access to more information regarding my case. So I spent about an hour on hold, and I ended with him again and he said that they were short on staff on the weekened and experiencing high volume calls. He suggested I call back later and try again. I called back several hours later and spoke with Rob. He told me the same thing that I would need to call back and talk to someone who has more access to this case. So, he recommended I call back on Monday. That following Monday, I called back and got a very unhelpful and rude ( right from the very beginning) rep named Aneth. She was telling me do you have the return receipt and told me that without it they can't do anything. This was completely something different from others have been telling me when I started this case. So I told her, no one has told me that this required in ordered to start this investigation case. I asked to be transferred to a different rep that is willing and knowledgeable about what they're doing. I was then transferred to this rep named Leean and tried to help me. I told her my situation and everything that I have done my end. She asked to file a claim with my local USPS and FedEx. I told her I have done that already and there were nothing that both USPS and FedEx can do for me. USPS have said that it was a prepaid label and I wouldn't be able to file a claim and that I wasn't the recipient. She ended up telling me that I would need to get USPS and FedEx to contact them and that they would speak on my behalf regarding this case. So that night, I called FedEx again and see what they can do about the starting a claim case and calling Verizon. I spoke with a FedEx rep named Jim and he told me that they won't be able to do anything; since, it was a smart post return label. At this point, I'm running out of options that I can do on my end to resolve this issue. I went to my local Verizon Wireless store and ask to see if they can help me with this issue. I was told to file a police report. So, I finally filed a police report at my local police station. The police officer gave me the case number and will see if anything can be done about this. The police officer even said I hope they're not charging you for this and I said, "yep verizon is actually charging me for 850 for this". He was surprised when he heard that.
Today, I just a voicemail from the Fraud department stating that this investigation has concluded and that it wasn't fraud and nothing can be done about my issue. My bill is about to be due on June 20th, and I told the customer service rep and the reps from the fraud department that I will continue to pay my normal monthly bill but I won't pay the 850 dollars.
I ask and beg anyone out there who has experience this same issue as myself or who is going through the same; for information or help on how to get this resolve. I feel like verizon is giving me the run around and shafting me big time. I have been a Verizon wireless customer service since my freshman year of college and I don't want to leave Verizon. They have been good to me the past 10 years and have gotten great coverage on their network. This is the very first time I'm experiencing this with Verizon and so far it has been a nightmare. I followed everything that was on the return procedure and used the smart post return label and in the end, I'm the one that is being penalized for it. It's insane that Verizon won't do anything about it and keeps telling to try a FedEx claim or USPS claim. This is robbery, unfair, wrong and they shouldn't be allowed to do this to their customers. I will continue to fight this because I know for a fact that I returned that iPhone in that box; which is now currently active since May 11 on someone else's account. So, please anybody who can help me out regarding this matter; I would greatly appreciate it.
The last option I can think of is to take this up to court and hire a lawyer. I don't want to leave Verizon but if it comes down to it, I guess I will have to. This is wrong and I asked everyone who can help me to please do so. Sorry for my rant, but I have done everything that I can do to resolve this issue but it has gotten me nowhere. It's just unbelievable and sad how Verizon could treat their customers like this, get away with it and not even help.
Thanks Verizon wireless for shafting a loyal customer. Loyalty goes both ways, I guess with Verizon it's only 1 way.

Tmobile did the exact same thing to me. So that is customer service at work in general. Nice try though lol.
    To the OP
I see you said You paid for shipping, did you Insure it? Claim insurance on it. If you did not, It may not be Verizon or your fault in the sense of the phone not making it to the warehouse. There are people out in the postal world that will steal phones that are not insured. It could have been a Verizon employee, i suppose.
But, if this was to be a bought in court, if you shipped it with out insurance, sadly your at fault.
Do you still have the Serial number of your old phone? If so, you should be able to track where your phone is (if it is reported as a defect/damaged) If so, you may be able to use that as proof. If it does not show up as a defect or what ever they determine use as a loss, then you know it did not make it to the warehouse to be checked in. I would suspect Apple or Verizon could tell you what the Serial number came up as.

  • Return Device

I recently renewed a 2 year contract, I got my new device on January 1 of 2013, I got the phone I had because I heard no plans of the Nokia Lumia 920 coming to Verizon, I recently heard a few days after my month to "try out my new device" that the Nokia Lumia 928 was coming in April. Is there anyway I can negotiate to get a switch on devices, It has been more than a month, about 1 and a half, and that is a good time to try a device out, not 1 month, as problems come down the road, and you do not know that they will happen. Is there anyway to switch without paying full price for a phone, or not needing to pay the remove contract fee and then pay for the phone? Thank you for any assistance.

    From T-Mobile's web site:
If you recently purchased a new T-Mobile phone
You have 14 calendar days for discounted purchases with an annual plan at
retail stores (30 in CA), 20 calendar days for online purchases via
t-mobile.com, and 30 calendar days for full price purchases from the date of
purchase, to return purchased equipment to the point of purchase.

  • Returned device

I just returned a phone that wouldn't work anymore and received an email that it was damaged (which was not the reason for its return).   A photo was embedded in the email but i am unable to view it.   supposedly the picture shows damage (?) that occured to my phone and Verizon is claiming they will now charge me $299.00.   I did not drop my phone so am unclear where the damage occurred.   I feel if I had returned the phone to a store, I would not be getting charged and am beyond frustrated.   I have been a Verizon customer for many years, but am not so set that i won't change to AT&T or some other carrier.   I am now returning the REFURBISHED phone that was sent to replace my first phone because it only lasted ONE WEEK before it started glitching and stopped working.   I have been without a phone for one full week and am waiting for the new phone I upgraded to so I wouldn't get another crappy refurbished phone from Verizon.   THis has paralyzed my work and I am a small business owner.   my new phone was sent 2 day fedex!!  i was not offered overnight service and am beyond angry that i have been unable to contact anyone to try to change the shipping.   my phone is now stuck in shipping limbo and i've had to go through 5 days without my phone! Supposedly I will receive my new phone tomorrow but that means I've lost a whole weekend where I could have set up my new phone and gotten on track for MOnday work...now I'm going to waste a good part of my day setting up my new phone that I will probably have trouble with because I am switching from a Droid to an iPhone.   Verizon has done a terrible job here.

I am going to ask you how it was shipped back to Verizon. Was it from a pick-up provided by Verizon using Fedex or UPS ?
The carriers may have damaged the phone in transport. Their is a common carrage insurance of $100.00 which is a Federal Law but you or Verizon can purchase more insurance for more money.
If you personally sent it back via their return label, I think they use USPS which you can purchase insurance or Verizon should have to insure againt loss or theft.
In some cases your home owners or renters insurance covers your loss of the cell phone. With my insurance it is full replacement cost. So when my laptop was stolen years ago I bought a same like laptop and the insurance company just had me fax the police report and a copy of my receipt for the original item that was stolen and a new receipt showing the cost of the new laptop. its a pain I know but saves you money.
You could dispute the charges for damages in writing with Certified Return Receipt Requested tell them your phone was not dammaged by you. Tell them you will take them to small claims court (get the address of the court from your phone book) pay the small fee to file, in your complaint list the total cost of your phone loss, the new phone costs you paid, time loss by dollar amount from work or school, as well as transpirtation costs to the hearing. The court clerk will asdist you with all this or read the book they give you when you go to file.
It is a simple process and if you have your documents to prove your case Verizon will pay. But more than likely will settle long before it goes to court. And no lawyers are needed for small claims courts.vMost judges frown on their presence . Do not go to any arbitration under any circumstances . You are not compelled to do so and proceed with the court action.
    Good Luck

  • Anyone else not able to print a return label in MyVerizon?

Ordered a phone 9 days ago and it's not working out.  Directions in the box say to go to verizonwireless/printlabel to print the return label.  When I click the Print Label button I get 'Error - Service not available.  Please try again later.'.  Anyone else have this issue?

No I don't look for would, could or should in the links information.
If that is the policy written by Verizon then that is what it is.
Could a store make an exception? Could. Will they, maybe or maybe not.
I have been with Verizon way back to the time of Bell Atlantic and I never in my experience returned anything back via online mail shipping. I always use the store for my phone purchase.
The official policy is at the link I gave. No wishing it away is going to make a store take the phone there versus sending back via return label. If that was the case everyone would be going to a corporate store to return devices. People are not doing that.
    Good Luck

  • Anticipating a problem with authorizing a device

.Because I didn't deregister readers that I had to return to the manufacturer.........I am concerned that I am going to show up as having too many devices when my new reader arrives.  This will either give me a total of either 6 or 7 devices.  The fact is ...that when all is said and done I will only have 2.  However, I am concerned that because I didn't "de-register" the devices before returning them I am going to have a problem when my new Color Nook arrives on Thursday.
Am I misunderstanding how this all works.
What do I do to clear the returned devices that were authorized before?

You are allowed to have 6 reading devices with ADE.  I have returned 3 to the manufacturers after authorizing them.  I didn't realize that I was supposed to deauthorize them.  I don't have access to the 3 devices that I returned.  I have a 4th device registered that I am now using. It works just fine.  I am expecting device #5 to arrive in two days.
How do I delete the registrations for the 3 devices that have been returned?  My computer and ADE work just fine.  My problem is that I have 3 reading devices registered to my account...and................................I don't have these particular ebook readers anymore.  I will need to clear these 3 from my account if my spouse wants to share my account with me.

  • Interface unit descriptor vs. device unit descriptor

In NI-488.2 Function Reference Manual for Windows (321038g) the description of ibfind() says in its last Note that ibfind() is deprecated for use in finding device descriptors. It doesn't say if ibfind() should still be used in new applications to find interface descriptors but I think it seems to be necessary. The description of ibdev() says that ibdev() only opens device descriptors so it seems to be useless for part of my needs.
However, ibfind() is still capable of finding device descriptors despite being deprecated for that purpose. I downloaded the example of two computers from ftp://ftp.ni.com/contrib/epd/B45EACE3DD1C56A4E034080020E74861/two_computers.zip
In the example, both the controller and the non-controller call ilfind() which calls ibfind(). The controller calls ibfind("GPIB0") and I think it gets an interface unit descriptor. The controller calls ibfind("DEV1") and I think it gets a device unit descriptor with a connection to the non-controller. But the non-controller calls the same ibfind("GPIB0") and it gets a device descriptor with a connection to the controller!
How does ibfind() know whether the caller wants an interface unit descriptor or a device unit descriptor? As far as I can tell, ibfind() seems to be reading the programmer's mind. How can I be sure it will read my mind correctly?
Also, what happens if there are three computers? When the controller calls ibfind() three times, ibfind() might magically figure out which call to return an interface unit descriptor and which two calls to return device unit descriptors. But how will the "DEV1" and "DEV2" calls be matched up against the correct non-controllers? The controller needs some way to know which device is which.
I see how to set a primary address on a unit descriptor, but this doesn't solve anything. If the unit descriptor has magically been opened as an interface unit descriptor then great, I can set my own board's address. If the unit descriptor has magically been opened to a device unit descriptor connected to a random choice of non-controller device, then I can set the unknown device's address, but I still don't know which device it is.
I think I need to make each computer open its own interface and set the primary address of its own interface, and next I need to make the controller open each device at a known address for each device, but I can't find any way to achieve the necessary detail of control for any part of this.

I think this part of your answer really answers my first question:
    > ibfind will open a interface unit descriptor if the
    > name used is GPIB where id is the interface
    > number (GPIB0, GPIB1, ...).
May I suggest that the description of ibfind() in the NI-488.2 Function Reference Manual for Windows (321038g) would really benefit from the addition of this information.
It also still seems that ibfind() is not deprecated for this purpose because ibdev() cannot open an interface. ibfind() is deprecated in the case of opening a device only, because ibdev() is more flexible for devices, but this has no bearing on the necessity of ibfind() for interfaces.
By the way, if suggestions are permitted: If there were an ibint() function then ibfind() c
ould be deprecated completely. Programmers could see immediately if a call was opening an interface through ibint() vs. a device through ibdev().
Regarding the two computers example, the comment in the non-controller code really confused me. The comment implies that ibfind() is opening a device descriptor there. Now I understand that the non-controller isn't directly opening a device connection to the controller, the non-controller is only opening its own interface because ibfind() gives special treatment to strings of the form "GPIB". (Of course the designer knows that this device will be the target of the controller, but that's not under the control of the non-controller's call to ibfind().)
Now I'm off to search for GpibConf.exe. I guess this utility is newer than the September 2000 driver disk.
(I remember once upon a time when devices weren't powerful enough to run a program like GpibConf.exe, but in my current application the target devices are running Windows 2
    000. Maybe the next generation of voltmeters will crash frequently :-) Does LabView accurately display the instruments' Blue Screens of Death :-?)

  • IOS 7 Activation Lock On My Supervised Devices

Running into huge road blocks with "Activation Lock" feature on iOS7. Our district has about 2500 student iPads which have their own apple ID. At the beginning of the year rollout we were on iOS 6.1.3. We have our students activate find my iPad app. If any re-provisioning had to be done to a device in 6.1.3 such as a passcode lock out, a simple touch with iTunes or Configurator would blow it out and you could move on with the device. Now activation lock in iOS7 has me in a real jam with no option but a complete wipe and loss of data for the student. Seems like I've moved from a scalpel to a chainsaw approach which is killing me. We all know we get handed locked up devices for a myriad of reasons most of which because the student either forgot their apple ID password or passcode. Has anyone found a technical work around for this? We supervise our devices using AirWatch MDM Agent, and use Apple Configurator to create our own profiles.

    Hi KSUT,
I work for a school district too, and asked my Apple SE about what to do when we get iPads back that are locked. He told me about a new process to make this easier:
Streamlined email process for removing activation lock
AppleCare has announced a new process to assist institutions with returned devices which may be activated locked.  For customers who experience this for the first time please call AppleCare at 800-800-2775 so that the process and needed documentation can be explained.  After the initial call customers can email with the required documentation for all Activation Lock Removal requests.
Other options include tracking down the person who previously used this iPad and have them follow one of the resolutions on this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4515
Hope this helps and answers your question!

  • Returned Defective Phone and Warehouse Cannot Find It

Hello, my name is Scott, a long time customer of verizon for about 12 years. I am currently on a family plan with 4 phones, myself, my mother, sister, and step-dad who is the primary account holder
Here is my issue. I preordered the Samsung Galaxy S3 which I thought was a great idea since there was so much hype about the phone. I ordered it over the phone with my personal credit card. I received it on a Monday and by Wednesday it was giving me issues. It was freezing up and I couldn't even use it. By Friday I called the 800 number after going to a store to resolve the issue unsuccessfully. They immediately sent a new phone to my address and charged my account the equipment fee of $212. Once I got the phone I think on Tuesday I immediately sent the phone back with the FEDEX label as instructed.
With my new phone and the original phone in the mail to Texas my new phone began to give me the same trouble. I decided to give up on the Galaxy and returned the 2nd phone to a local store here in Charlotte, NC. They gave me a FULL refund with no problem including the cost of the phone, tax, and my upgrade fee. I was pretty happy with that. At that point I went back to my original phone (droid razr).
Here is where the problems start. The original phone I mailed back to you guys w/ the fed ex tracking was delivered to you guys on August 24th 2012  The charge for showed up on our bill right away. My mother who pays the bill every month directly out of her bank account paid it on August 1st. Weeks went by and I heard nothing. Since then I have called you customer service line at least 12 times maybe more. Starting 2 weeks ago I was told that they would be doing an investigation and contacting the warehouse to determine where the phone was and why I would not be credited.  I have no idea why she gave me that or what she did because I never heard back from her. When I called to check on it, the person started a new claim and never did anything with my original number. He then assured me he was putting another claim in and that he would call me back within 24 hours, and that he was very good at return calls. I never heard back from him after about 4 days. I called several other times to track progress and nothing has happened. I now have 3 people who have promised to call me back and I haven't gotten one call. I am wondering if it is just lost in the warehouse because each .
All I want is my account to be refunded the equipment charges, and my upgrade to be re-issued. I hope one of you can help me in doing this, because calling or trying to wait on customer service is just becoming a nightmare. Thanks in advance for your help.
My number is xxx-xxx-xxxx and my name is Scott

Best things to have in this situation is a receipt of the shipment of the returned device.
Do you have it? If so go to a Fedex office and file an insurance claim.
    If you don't have this..
IF your device tracks anywhere at all on USPS or FedEx's website call customer service and have them submit an ITTS ticket for a lost shipment. If your rep does not do this get another rep on the line. If they have already submitted a CLNR NON RETURN form then you either need the receipt of the shipment or need it to track on the carriers website.

  • [SOLVED] Blkid returns nothing, but has no error

I wanted to retrieve UUIDs from a couple partitions, so I ran:
    blkid
    No returns. I ran:
    echo $?
    0
    Hmm. Any ideas?
Additionally, "blkid -o list" returns device files and mount points, but not filesystems, labels (well, it might, there are none assigned) or UUIDs.
    Thanks!

    $ lsblk -f
Does not show UUID column on my machine, nor does
    $ sudo lsblk -f
    I tried
    $ sudo lsblk -o UUID
The UUID was then shown, but with no added columns to match it to a known kernel name descriptor, label, mountpoint, etc... I read the man pages for 'lsblk', as well as checking the Archwikis on 'fstab' and 'persistent block device naming' ... Nowhere did it mention when using the lsblk option "-o", that in order for multiple fields to be printed, commas(without spacing) must be used in between each column name, thus:
    $ sudo lsblk -o NAME,FSTYPE,LABEL,MOUNTPOINT,UUID
Using this command got me the UUID matched to known device properties.
