Attachement of word doc in sales order

Hii,
I have one query that i want create contract,for the proof of the contract my cleint have word doc.,
Now they want to add it in my contract so any time it can check that approval word doc.
Pls give suggestion on that.

Dear Pranav,
Activate "Service for Object", you can add attachments to sale orders.
Go to
T. Code: SU01,
input user id and click on pencil icon.
There select "Parameters" tab and maintain
SD_SWU_ACTIVE = X.
Now,
Go to the order
VA02 --> System --> Services for object,
once you click on it, an icon will appear. Click on the paper sign on the icon, you will be now able to browse and select the file which you want to attach.

    Hi
    Go to SU3, go to parameters tab and enter parameter ID = SD_SWU_ACTIVE and value as X.
    Now go to sales order in VA02
    You can see "Services for Object" link at the top left.
    Click this and then click the Create button. Here you can link the attachments.
    You can also do this by means of a program.
    You can retrieve such documents from teh sales order whenever you want.

    Hi Krishna,
    Actually this functionality is activated once you maintain the paraneter ID in user's own data in default parameters tab page.
    I will give you the parameter id in 15 mins
    Go to VA02
    Select drop down menu System>User Profile> Own data
    Go to Tab- Parameter. enter parameter ID-SD_SWU_ACTIVE  & Parameter value X
    Save. now u will get an attachment icon in top left of screen on sales order screen when u go to VA02. click this and u can attach MS word, Excel or Auto cad documents

    Is there a BADI/BAPI involved in 'Print Preview of Document attached to a PR/PO, Sale Order line item'. When I select a line item in PO for which a DIR is attached, it doesn't display the files content in the Print Preview.
    Q:) Is the system supposed to display the 'Original file' content attached to a DIR in the Print Preview Or is this the standard behavior that system won't display attached DIR - file content.

    unfortunately I have to inform you that from DMS point of view such a 'file preview' function is not available in the standard of the R/3 system.
    If you want to raise a development request at SAP please see the SAP note 11 for further information.

    Hello
    The material 'item category group' = ERLA ,pricing is only for the main item
    if  'item category group' = LUMF, then pricing takes place only on subitems.
    so you will have to influence the 'item category group'.
    There is also another factor, for e.g."Item category TAN" does not support explosion of BOM, this is because 'STRUCTURE SCOPE FIELD' is blank..You need to check this , and for this you need to access SPRO, which in your case, as I understand, is a limitation. In other words, you need to check this field for ZTAC (it may be empty).

  • How do I configure Billing doc as the follow up doc to sales order in CRM?

    Hi,
    I have the Sales Order transaction type and Item category created and did the item category determination.
    Next step is to make the Billing Doc as the follow up doc. I do not know how to do it.
    I know copy control for Transactions, item categories and Item Category determination. Do i have to create billing transaction type and item category and do the copy control to link to sales order? if so what is the transaction type for billing?

    This is done under spro>crm>Billing>Item Category Determination>Assign Item Categories. Here you link transaction type and item category of that transaction type to billing item category. according to that billing type is determined. link between billing item and type is set under spro>crm>Billing>Define Billing Item Categories

    when i create a SD document and select an output type and external mode before i save the document, it generates a PDF document as an attachment and sents an email.   • I'm suddenly unable to attach a word.doc file to my email-I get a message that reads error # 2038

    This problem just started

    Apparently you tried to open a DOC file as a PDF sometime and your system is confused. In any case, go to a DOC or DOCX file (or both) in Windows Explorer and right click. Select Open With and select WORD -- be sure to check always open with button.
    Check that other WORD documents open correctly from Explorer. Try your e-mail again. If the e-mail is not fixed, then search for a list of applications in your e-mail package (some do this) and correct the problem there. It might also be worth turning on the display of extensions in Explorer so you can see that a file is indeed a word file with the proper extension. (just trying to cover as many possibilities as possible right now).

    we are creating Sales Orders from Front end (JAVA) and the document gets posted in SAP thru RFC. My requirement is, business want to attach document (Office docs) to sales order at the time of creation so that it should be available in the back end when ever they view the sales order using VA02 or VA03.
    Please let me know how to attach a document using RFC and after receiving (From Front end to SAP) the document how to attach that to Sales Order.

    Please use the "Services for Object" Icon just below the menu bar in the Sales order overview screen for attaching any document into the sales order. Once you get into the drop down, select Create - Create Attachment" option.
    The attachment can be viewed from the same icon! In the drop down, select Attachment list!

    To attach a word doc/excel sheet etc. to a sales order, so that whenever we open that particular Sales order we can able to see the info. saved as attachment.
    va02>system>user profile>own data>parameters--->here we need to enter the particular parameter ID......."SD_SWU_ACTIVE"...and the parameter value is "X".
    The parameter mentioned above will activate workflow box in va02 nad va03 only.
    save it...U will now can see an ICON--"Services for object"...just below the command box...or else goto SYSYTEM-services for object.

    I need to attach a link of a sales order into a message of an internal mail (workplace).
    When a sales order is blocked by credit, one mail sent to the representative credit manager.
    The subject of the mail already have the number of the sales order (&VBAK-VBELN&), BUT I don't know how to attach the link of a sales order. The idea is the user that  will read the mail can clic the link to display the sales order.

    While maintaining condition record VV11 with transmission medium Internal Mail  you will get the option attach file then you can attach that file and send internally to the other user . But you cant attach the sales order , you convert the sales order data into an excel file and then upload that excel file and then send to the other user

    I would like to know if is there any possibility to display invoice print (PDF) in sales order (Credit/Debit note) as attachment.
    Issue:  Customer raise the credit note with the reference of invoice, sometimes user don't explain the reason for credit and don't attach any reference document in sales order(credit request).
    Customer requirement: Customer want to display reference invoice print (PDF)in sales order(Credit request) for validator so validator can cross check with invoice and validate the credit note.
