Attachments in a news scenario

I create a standard News scenario.
I want to insert an attachments field in the Edit form and i want to
display the link in a Show form.
How i can do?

u can easily do this in XML form builder. open news form in this builder and change accordingly..

Forward selected email messages as attachments to a new message

Hi all! My ISP asks that we forward junk mail back to them as an attachment to a mail message. Their destination email address is static and does not change. Does anyone know a way to use automator to forward selected mail message(s) as attachments to a new message? I can't figure it out, but then, that's true of many of my problems. Thanks!

When an email contains multiple attachments how can I forward just one of the attachments in a new email?

I am new to IPAD use and need to forward one attachment from an original email that contains multiple attachments - how can I isolate and forward only one of the attachments?

Aha! I have been doing just that. However, what has been tripping me up is that I am also used to clicking the Go Online/Go Offline toggle button on the top menu bar when I manually check for messages on Cox. Apparently when you take one inbox offline, that button switches to Off even though the other inbox is still online. If I just ignore that button and go on or off via the cox mailbox listing, it keeps comcast from being reactivated.

Edited to add: I removed that dang button from my menu so I can stop clicking it.

New Scenario assigned to 0L ledger. How to populate values in FAGLFLEXT...

Hello all,
We went live with SAP about 3 weeks ago, however cost center update scenario was not assigned to the ledger 0L due to some oversight. I have made this assignment just recently so all new postings to cost centers will update FAGLFLEXT with the cost center. However there are about 25000 line items that didnt update FAGLFLEXT with the cost center. What is the best way to handle this? It is not possible for me to reverse out and reenter the lines due to the volume. Any suggestions will be really appreciated.

There is two ways doing it.
Either untick the company productive tag in company global settings and reassign the scenarios and redo the same action.
Or just assign the scenario and see the adjustment done

PM How to define new scenarios / subscreens as selectable entries

Hello!
I've a customer who wants to use an own subscreen in PM / IW24.
He wants to select it like a predefined scenario in the user default values / ref. object / scenario ...
I can create new dynpros / subscreens ... no problem. But how to tell PM that these subscreens shall be used as a selectable scenario in iw24?

Select target database and go to the bottom screen.
Select "Metric Baselines", most likely
Metric Baselines are currently disabled for this database instance.
Solution re-enable
Enabling metric baselines causes a small set of instance performance metrics
to be persisted to the Automatic Workload Repository. Click the Enable Metric
Baselines button to enable this feature now.

How can I get Firefox 6 to recognize and display jpg attachments inside the new Yahoomail; this works in Firefox 5 and IE.

In the new yahoo mail system, firefox 6 (installed two days ago or so), I am not able to view jpg attachments. The OS is XP. I can view text attachments. I am able to view these attachments in MS IE. On my laptop, where I am still using FF 5.0, there are also no problem in viewing the attached pictures.

New scenario-sales doc. bolck

Hi all.
I got a scenario.
A new sales doc. is created. In this doc. some provisions shouldbe there which will not allow to create a new sales doc. unless it is not given authorised by the concerned person.
Just like In sales doc. type, we have one option called "Billing Block". if we use it with option 6 i.e "Sign & Approval Reqd." it wont allow creating billing doc. unless it is authorised by the concerned person.
Is there any this sort of provision is there for blocking any sales doc.
The scenario is a sales doc. type Customer complaint is created. This doc. type should have that sort of provision which it wont allow create any sales doc. type like RE or CR based on it unless it approved by the concerned person.

Implementing a News Scenario

I need to implement this scenary in Portal:
Post news, and that on the "home page" (KM iViews with NewsBrowser layout set); is only the most recent news item published.
And in any part of the iView, which included a link to "see news history" and then gain access to a repository where they are stored.
What is the simplest way to do this?.

As far as I understand your question, you are interested in a "physical" archiving of the news, which means you would like your current news in folder1 and archived news in folder2.
One way to do that is to write a repository service that performs this archiving for you - its not standard SAP portal functionality.
Another option is to write a web dynpro iview that displays your different news channels and let you select from a number of criteria how (many) news items you would like to archive (and perhaps where you would like them to be archived).
The final option as I see it is to set the collection renderer to only display the last 4 news items on page 1, and then let the end user use the pager to get to news item 5-8, 9-12, etc etc. But if you chose this scenario you need to bear in mind that SAP recommends a maximum of 1000 files in each folder, but even with a smaller number the iview will have rather high response times because of the permissions check.

I faced a smilar scenario some while back but the solution was not based in SD. It was based in MM and PP.
My solution is different from the previous one because if I understood correctly, the customer sends products to you. You don't send anything to the customer. If I am right, then you cannot use subcontrating process.
This was how we solved it:
-> Material Type - you need a material type non valuated to map this product. You can use a standard one but I would use a Z one so that I am free to adapt it in the future. Please use a separate number range so that you can distinguish easiliy the materials from the customer from your own materials.
-> You will map the deliver of your customer materials through a purchase order where your vendor is your customer. You need a new Account Assignment Category that is not relevant for billing. That is, one where pricing is not relevant and where the system does not expect to receive an invoice for it.
-> you need to set up the BOM's so that your customer material is used in production of your finished product. As the material type is non valuated there will not be any costs regarding this product when you produce it.
-> you sell your finished product to the customer with a normal sales order (OR). Probably because one of the components belong to your customer, the price will be lower.

Sales Order new scenario

I have got a scenario:.
We are now creating return sales order, credit memo request, debit memo request with reference to billing document. Order type being RE10, CR10, DR10, RS10, PR10 etc.
2. There is now a new requirement. We need to create first a customer complaint with reference to the billing document no. Once this document is signed by the respected HOD, then by giving the reference of this document no the actual return document, credit memo request, debit memo request etc should be created.
3. Thus, a new order type needs to be created. which would be used as Customer Complaint Order Type

Let us try doing it through the STD transactions.
When ever a credit note request or a debit note request is created, the system will block the document for billing. Hence, I suppose better give the Change mode authorisation to only HOD(to remove the billing block for certain document types) vice-versa, do not give the change mode authorisation of few docements say complaints to the users. In this process you need to create few Billing Block reasons and may be few Order reasons.
I do not suggest signing it by HOD because it will again increase the paper work and leaves no proof in SAP.
If you want to match it to ur requirement, then create few order types copying it through STD documents, give the No. range, make the referrence field mandatory(This docs will be Sales Docs)
Now for other credit and debit memo requests, make referrrence field mandatory wrt your devoloped sales documents.

Why is it so complicated to quick-view or download attachments in the new Mail?

Is there a way to revert back to Mountain-Lion-style behaviour for Mail attachments?
Quick-viewing or downloading email attachments is unnecessarily complicated in the new Mail in Mavericks. Downloading attachments in Mountain Lion used to require a single click, now it requires at least three clicks. Quick-viewing used to take zero clicks, now it takes two. Very irritating.

Opening microsoft word attachments on my new macbookpro

Do I need to have microsoft word in order to open yahoo email attachments created in microsoft word? or will mac OS X version 10.5.1 read it? I hate to have to have it on my computer as the only thing we would use it for would be to open these files emailed to us. any answers?

Actually, Leopard's TextEdit can open Word 2007 (.docx) documents as well. Of course, NeoOffice has more features than TextEdit, if editing the document is needed. However, in that case, I recommend not re-saving the document in Word 2007 format, as NeoOffice's Word 2007 import/export filters aren't as reliable as its Word 97/2000/XP (regular .doc) filters, for example.

Opening attachments on my new macbook!! please help

Hi, I have only recently bought a new white mac book! So far, so good! however, I have one slight problem - I am still using my hotmail account and because i am at university I receive a lot of email about coursework etc. Friends in my group have emailed me powerpoint presentations from their own p.c's to my hotmail, but unfortunately I cant open them on my Mac?! does anyone know why this would be? I click to open and they go into this little 'downloads' page but I cant actually get the document to open. i am not even sure what I should be clicking to get it to open? I have iworks installed on my Mac, but I do not have any Microsoft Office Softw installed Could this be the problem?
I would really appreciate any ideas or feedback anyone has about this matter.

Since you're at a university you should be able to get a good academic discount on the academic version of Office 2008. This would be worthwhile because almost all universities use Office either for PCs or Macs, and the document files are interchangeable.
Although you could buy iWork '09 as suggested by the other poster, I would recommend getting Office because it is the world standard. It's used everywhere including schools and businesses.
