Sales Order new scenario

Hi all,
I have got a scenario:.
We are now creating return sales order, credit memo request, debit memo request with reference to billing document. Order type being RE10, CR10, DR10, RS10, PR10 etc.
2. There is now a new requirement. We need to create first a customer complaint with reference to the billing document no. Once this document is signed by the respected HOD, then by giving the reference of this document no the actual return document, credit memo request, debit memo request etc should be created.
3. Thus, a new order type needs to be created. which would be used as Customer Complaint Order Type

Hi,
Let us try doing it through the STD transactions.
When ever a credit note request or a debit note request is created, the system will block the document for billing. Hence, I suppose better give the Change mode authorisation to only HOD(to remove the billing block for certain document types) vice-versa, do not give the change mode authorisation of few docements say complaints to the users. In this process you need to create few Billing Block reasons and may be few Order reasons.
I do not suggest signing it by HOD because it will again increase the paper work and leaves no proof in SAP.
If you want to match it to ur requirement, then create few order types copying it through STD documents, give the No. range, make the referrence field mandatory(This docs will be Sales Docs)
Now for other credit and debit memo requests, make referrrence field mandatory wrt your devoloped sales documents.

    we need to create a new condition type for sales order. I know that this is the path to go in SPRO:
    IMG - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Pricing -Pricing Control - Define Condition type.
    Also I have to assign it to a pricing procedure.
    Now my question is, how can I determine an account (like a GL account) where the money goes when using this condition type? Background is, we want to create a sales order on a WBS element and there is no condition type available, so we want to create a new one. So where or how can we determine the account?

    The effect I would say is that you have to understand the business requirement in terms of how complex your account determination needs to be. For example, in current company I am with we only use two tables - C003 and C005. System looks at C003 first, if no entry it moves to C005. So, for applicable cases in C003 where we want to trump account determination in C005, we have entry that does reference account key from the line item of the condition type in the pricing procedure.
    Last client I was at, we had 8 tables referenced in account determination. Very complex and specific in certain circumstances. Lots of well thought out logic in diagrams first and then the account determination in the system was completed. Revert back if you need more.

    It is no way to update the production order with changes made in sales order.

  • Invoice corrections Sales order- New Pricing is not carried out

    Hi All,
    waiting for some one to guide me in a right way...
    I have Scenario where creating a invoice correction request with reference to Invoice document.New pricing is not carried in debit line item even though i changed the pricing date as current date for the line item
    When i copied with the invoice document, 2 new line items are created with a same price conditions.
    1st line item is a credit and 2nd line item is a debit item.
    I need to do a price adjustment in debit line. So i maintained a new pricing record for the material to carry out the price.
    To achieve this in customizing VTAF (billing to sales) I have  tried multiple options  as below in  2nd pricing type field as B,C,D,E and F
    2nd Pricing type  - B Carry out new pricing
    C     Copy manual pricing elements and redetermine the others
    D     Copy pricing elements unchanged
    E     Adopt price components and fix values
    F     Copy pricing elements, turn value and fix
    But still the new pricing is not carried out.I tried to manually change the Pricing date in the line item level, still the new price is not updated in the order.
    I have seen SAP Help in below link the Debit line can update with correct price point 3 in proces flow , check this below link for reference.

    Hello Parthiban,
    I feel you are aware of the effect/functionality of 2nd pricing type.
    In the invoice correction request, two items are automatically created for each item in the invoice to be copied (which you did mention):
    - first item:   credit memo item
    - second item:  debit memo item
    And for invoice correction request, a particular pricing type is needed for the second item.
    So as per standard, you have to use pricing type 'E' for the credit memo item to guarantee that the item will not be changed.
    And you should give a new pricing type to the debit memo item. 
    The system creates a credit or debit memo depending on whether a postive or negative difference is generated.
    So that means
    Pricing type will effect ItemCat Proposal-G2N
    and 2nd pricing type will effect 2ndItemCatProposal-L2N
    Now, make changes in pricing type based on your business requirement.
    I hope this will assist you in understanding.

  • Change in Sales Order Qty in a MTO scenario

    We had confirmed 5 Qty for the Production Order created with reference to Sales ORder(MTO scenario), now after confirmation of 5 qty, sales order qty is reduced to 3., then in this situation, what we need to do for the already confirmed extra Quantity 2 for this sales order. I think we need to cancel the confirmation for the extra qty 2?. Please clarify and explain what we need to do this for this extra Qty 2 in detail.
    Case 2) If the Sales Order qty is changed to 7, then we will be creating a new Production Order for this new quantity 2 with reference to the same sales order.  Am i correct?.IF wrong, please suggest how should we balance the extra requirement of 2 EA.

    Is your query being posted even before you actually tried the 2 cases which you refer to in your system?
    If so, then first do the simulation in your sandbox, check how system behaves when you do that. Also check by clicking on ATP check for the material within SO.
    Once you do the above your query will be self answered, if you still face any issue then revert with the specific details.

  • Sales order costing - MTO Scenario

    I am working on SAP ECC 6.0 on a Make-to-order scenario.
    I have created sales otder; run MRP for the sales order and converted the planned order to Production order and confirmed the production order.
    But I don't know the period end processes of make to order scenario. Please answer my following queries:
    Whether <b>WIP</b> will be calculated at Sales order level or individual production order level related to this sales order?
    Whether <b>variances</b> are to be calculated at each production order level or at sale order level?
    Which t-code should be used for calculation of variances if it is calaculated at sales order level? The production orders have TECO status. 
    Whether variances are to be settled at sales order level or each production order level?
    Which Transfer Control should I use in Costong Variant "Sales Order KDN" or "Complete Transfer"?
    Please also forward me some documents, if you have, which explains the whole step by step cycle from creation of sales order to settlement of sales order.

    To add few more checks and points - please note the following
    1)  Whether WIP will be calculated at Sales order level or individual production order level related to this sales order?
    A)  You need to selected RA for sales order in WIP RA version to ensure WIP is calculated for production orders which are linked to sales order
    2)  Whether variances are to be calculated at each production order level or at sale order level?
    A)  This would depend on whether u r following valuated or Non Valuated sales order stocks / costing
    If is is non valuated u cannot determine variances, actual costs of production order are settled to sales order item
    If it is valuated sales order following sales order costing, you can transfer production varainces to sales order item
    3)  Create settlement profile having sales order as valid receiver and assign profile to production type created for the sales order - MTO scenario
    4)  Which Transfer Control should I use in Costong Variant "Sales Order KDN" or "Complete Transfer"?
    4A)  Suggested to have complete transfer as transfer control strategy

  • Need to add a custom defined partner at the time of creation of sales order

    I request you some solution for me in this urgent requirement.
    Scenario 1:
    I have to create a partner in the sales order based on some validations with repect to bill-to party and ship-to party. The validations if success, will return me the data from an 'Z' function module which i need to populate to the new partner that will be created in the sales order.
    I am using the program MV45AFZZ and the userexit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE.
    Now after getting the data for the new partner to be added, i have done this code..
          LOOP AT ws_dealer.

    Now i'm getting the new partner number in the partners tab in sales order, but the new address details are not getting updated and the ship-to party address is only appearing in the screen.
    Also i'm finding difficulty in updating the telex, email information in the sales order.
    Scenario 2:
    There are cases where some sales orders are getting created through an idoc. In that case, i have to populate the values from idoc especially the address details of all the partners to the screen and update the sales order.
    Apart from populating value to all the partners, the process of scenario 1 will have to be carried again to create the 'Z' partner (if validation is successful).
    For this case, i do not know which userexit i need to use. and how to go about this..
    This is having a very tight deadline and it is extremely urgent for me.
    Please help with your valauble answers.

    Thanks for your reply. I do not want the data from the customer master.
    The partner data will come in the idoc and i wish to put the data in the sales order based on some validation for the standard partners like WE/AG/RE/RG.
    The client has developed some 'Z' function module which contains the functionality of SAP FM - IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS.
    Now for the partner which i'm creating 'ZD' i believe i should update the indicator UPDKZ to 'I' for XVBADR table as it is a new record. Why should i update in XVBAP table and i'm adding only partner and his address details. Also i think all this change i should put in USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT at the point of saving.
    Please advise.

    This is with regrad to the updates missing in the sales order.
    Scenario:
    When a particular line item is changed and the pricing is also updated. But while checking for the changes the system history is not updated with the old value and new value.
    Hope this could be a SAP standard error, so if anybody have the SAP notes number pl forward.

    In Sales Order when you go to see changes you have check box as Additional info, click on this and click on radio button Document item and also remove the selection of overview check box (if you selected) and execute. I feel you will get it. If still not able to see then it is std error.

  • Valuated sales order stock - Batch

    We have a scenario to move the stock of a valuated sales order from special stock to Unrestricted stock. By doing so, will the valuation of that batch get chnaged ?
    We need to have the same valuation of that batch wherever it is moved i.e. whether that batch is moved to unrestricted stock or another sales order stock or any other stock.
    Is it possible ?

    this is unfortunately not possible, when a batch leaves one valuation segment (EBEW or MBEW) and is moved to anew one (new sales order, new material number, change of special stock type) the price is normally determined new and not preserved
    for very limited scenarios something was done in the framework of that scenario:

    This batch price remains unchanged even if there is a stock transfer from plant to plant or storage location to storage location. If there is a stock transfer between plants with a stock transport order, the system valuates the material in the receiving plant using the purchase order price.

           My customers requirement is when saving the sales order new pricing condition has to be updated in the line item.for this i am using the User Exit 'USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE' ( MV45AFZZ).While saving the Sales order i am calculating the Price and updating in the Pricing conditions.
    In XKOMV internal table i am appending the pricing condition.But the problem is ,it is not calculating the taxes and it is Updating in VBAK and VBAP.
    How to do this.

  • In the Production Order, Sales Quotation is displayed not the Sales Order

    Hello to All,
    I need a kind help from you.
    My scenario is as follows
    There is a Configurable Material (Finished Product)
    Sales quotation (VA21/2/3) were made for this material.
    Sales Order (VA01/2/3) with reference from the Sales Quotation were made for this same material.
    Now when I run the MRP (MD02) for this material, Planned Orders were created.
    Planned orders were converted to the Production Order.
    In the Production Order (say in Display mode), under the 'General' tab, there is a segment called 'Sales order'. In this segment, the sales order is being displayed if the Production Order is created for a sales order (MTO scenario).
    But, in my case, the Sales Quotation number is being displayed instead of the Sales order.
    My Issue which need your answers:
    Is it a standard SAP scenario?? I mean, if the production order is created for a sales order and again if the sales order is created earlier with reference to a sales quotation, then in the production order, the Sales quotation is displayed. Is it a standard?? Or it is showing wrongly? I mean, is it like that, always the sales order should be displayed in the Production order and not the sales quotation??
    Please suggest so that I can overcome this problem, if at all it is a problem.
    Some More Inputs (For your analysis/research):
    1. After the MRP run of the material the Planned Order is created. I have checked the planned order, and found tha the assignment of sales document (in this case Quotation) is done in the Planned order itslef. It is visible wthin the "Assigmnet" tab of the Planned Order.
    2. For the analysis purpose, I created one stand-alone Sales Order for the same material. I mean, without reference from any Sales Quotation. Then, when I run the MRP (md02), the Planned Order and then production order were created normally, with reference to the Sales order. This just for your kind information.
    3. I have checked the pegged requirement of the Production order in the MD04. It is showing the Sales order itself. But, if I see the production order (CO02/O03), it shows sales quotation.
    User Requirement:
    Evenif, the sales order is created with reference to a Sales Quotation, after MRP run, in the Planned and thereby subsequent production order, the Sales Order should display and not the Sales quotation.
    Please suggest.

    Since your scenario is configurable material,  the system takes the reference of sales quotation only. Because the in case of configurable materials the sales quotation is the base and based on the sales quotation the sales order is created and subsequent production order.
    This is std SAP and for configurable materials the sales quotation is deciding factor

    My end user facing a issue while entering the sale order.The scenario is,For a item say 'X',its quantity is 24,unit price is 41.15,discount is 8%,then the total amount (ie)Total (LC) should be 908.59, but the system shows as 908.64.Why I'm getting this issue.
    I have given Rounding Method by currency.
    Display settings as:
    Amount-2
    Price-2
    Rates-4
    Quantities-2
    Percent-6
    Units-2
    Currency settings:
    Rounding Method-Round to one.
    Decimals-Default
    I have tried all possibilities in test database but still I'm facing the same issue..
    Please give me solution to solve this issue.

    The software's logic is as follows it calculates the unit price after discount then times that rounded amount to the quantity. That is also why there is net unit price on the row level if you look in the DB. You could do a manual adjustment on the total but that will play abound with the discount a bit. Business one logic is very relational and because of the cascading of header tables and row level tables the calculations are not intuitive to most users. But on the upside you are guarantee consistent rounding by the software across the board.

  • Same serial number + material combo can be used in different sales orders?

    We have a recurring issue in our system where a Serial Number/Material combination can be used in another sales order once it is already in ECUS status.
    Example: We sell and post material 123 with serial number 456, it goes into ECUS status, and we are then able to create a sales order with the exact same numbers.
    Is this something that I should escalate to OSS? Why is this happening? Is there an IMG setting where I can turn on this functionality?
