Attachments lost in CRM
Hi Guys
I have a issue which is sproadic in nature. Attachments are getting lost in CRM. Let me explain it in detail
User adds attachments(4 of them) to service order and changes status and conntrans it. ( The conntrans start time is at
9.58.00 and end time is at 10.03.46(for this user). I can get this info from the transaction SMWMCOMM)
The attachements are sent to CRM and confirmation is sent back.We have a subscription where we dont want the order to come back to mobile.
Hence i see a SBDOC DIRECT SEND getting formed for servie order at 10.03.03 for that order with DELETE task for this mobile client.
Similarly for the 4 ATTACHMNT_WR bdoc as well at 10.03.11 DELETE Task is sent to mobile.
The above happens in the first conntrans run itself(as the conntrans end time is 10.03.46).
All is fine until now.
Now comes the problem, mobile somehow triggers DELETE for these attachments . This happens at 10.05.03. Why should mobile trigger DELETE bdocs for these attachments again when nothing has happened in mobile???
It just received DELETE for the attachments which means it needs to clear it in its tables,but why would it trigger DELETE SBDOC inbound bdocs again and send it to CRM???? I can see SBDOC INBOUND(before validation bdocs) for these 4 attachments at 10.05.03 with DELETE task which ultimately deletesfrm CRM as well.
Obviously the user has not done any change within this time period as the time when mobile recevies the DELETE task(at 10.03) and send DELETE task(10.05) for attchment is jst 2 mnts!!!!
Please give your thought on what could be the scenario when mobile itself triggers bdocs to CRM??

hi Abhi,
This is not a solution but a thought to help you find out the root cause.
You have mentioned that a DELETE is send via subscription. Why dont you try to take that subscription out and do a manual delete using sql command on a test machine and see what happens. If the problem do not occur it means there is some problem in that subscription. Then you can try fixing it by debugging the way this subscription is designed.

Attachments lost in Apple Mail
Apple mail is routinely losing attachments in threads. Going back to the original message in a thread the attachments are gone. There are only placeholders with the file names. Rebuilding the mailbox doesn't work and they're gone from iCloud too. Any fixes?

Finding attachments within the CRM system
We're trying to find out where the attachments are stored that are attached to our service tickets.
We've found the following tables which give details of the attachments but can't find where they are physically located.

Unable to open attachments in the CRM transaction
Hi Experts,
I am working on a requirement to attach a csv file to a transaction using the class CL_CRM_DOCUMENTS. The file is getting attached to the offer but when i click on the document to open it gives a error saying this "No document display because of missing Customizing for HTTP service '/default_host/sap/bc/contentserver' -> See SAP Note 606745".
I checked with my functional consultant he says all the customising is done as per instructed in the mentioned SAP note 606745. Need your help in proceeding further.

Issue in Migrating Attachments from Siebel to SAP CRM
Hi All,
We are doing Data Migration for Attachments into SAP CRM from Siebel. and have an issue for migrated attachments showing blank pages while opening in SAP CRM.
We have used all the formats of converting the data into binary and loading the attachments from Application Server.
But the PDF/File open with blank pages. The no. of pages in the original attachment and the migrated file from application server matches.
May i know the best approach of meeting the above Requirement .. Its prioritized issue !!

Attachment Handling in SAP CRM 7.0 EHP 3.0

We are in the design phase of an SAP CRM 7.0 EhP3 implementation project. In the current landscape the legacy system for customer service (CS) management uses an external shared fileserver for storing attachments from the CS system. However we plan to decommission this external content server as it does not support good security features.
Storing attachments in SAP CRM via content management - can SAP CRM content management support large files? What is the maximum capacity per attachment and also the overall maximum capacity that SAP CRM content management can support.
We have "heard" that SAP does not recommend storing attachments within CRM, but rather in an external secure storage server. Is this true? Is yes, what would be the best approach to store and read attachments from SAP CRM?

You can use a custom solution in EHP2. Example is provided in SAPPress book SAP CRM: Techical Principles and Programming.

Channel name lost when averaging waveform
Hi, I am writing an application where data is acquired for DAQ continuously. Data is averaged for example every 1ms and then written to file. Problem is that channel names are lost when doing averaging. I am using 'averaged DC-RMS.vi'. I could copy the attribute before averaging and then write them back afterwards, but doesn't sound like good solution for streaming data application with several channels. Is this a bug or feature? Is there any other way to maintain channel names?

Connection lost while update new firmware for E71
When I update new firmware for my E71 by OVI suite but after finished download and its step to prepare to install then it lost connection.
I restart my phone for many times, then it allowed us to process for next, when i click next then suddenly its disconnect USB, when wait for a few minutes then its allowed process next.
Mean that, its always disconnect USB when i click next to installing. please see attach file.
Please help me, what happen with this installing new firmware?

Not quite sure from your post whether E71 still functional upon previous firmware and just fails to update every time that you try; if that is the case it may be easier to find another PC.

I have just a short question. Currently I'm working with MySAP SRM, but my backround is CRM. Now we implement the CRM 2005 and use it due to the SAP Portal.
I'm a bit confused due to the attachment management.
Is it possible to up- and download attachments in the CRM 2005, and if so, wich role plays the contentserver? How can I use and configure it right.
In the SRM we have a special Service called <docserver>, is there a similar funktion in the CRM?

Couple of additional info:
- The error is intermittent, but when sna is "restarted" everything works just fine up to the error happens again.
- Mainframe is processing just fine
- Oracle is processing just fine
- The error happens when weblogic calls tuxedo via WTC within a XA transaction. Weblogic asks oracle (the other xa participant) to prepare and receives ok, when it asks tuxedo and no response is received 30 secods later (my weblogic transacion timeout) it calls rollback. When I increase this transaction time the same situation happens but the call to rollback happens x seconds later. Rollback is processing just fine.
- When WTC debug was enabled nothing different from this information has been found.
- Based on the research I´ve been doing it seems it would be related to the items below, but as we are not sure, still looking at other options while the ticket is processed:

My client lost their CRM data, so they restored the CRM database and have since contiuned processing. Now they are getting this error:

This was on the BPs. How can I correct this error?I am still working on this problem. I have looked in B1 for those BPs that are in the WebCRM. However, every one of those BPs from WebCRM are in the B1 database. I have tried going into the CRM changing one of those BPs Save it. When I run a synch. I still get the error. The same is happening for NPActivity on Adds and Updates. It looks like this:

Array subset uses twice as much memory
I have been chasing a problem with running out of memory when manipulating large ammounts of acquired data.
My attached vi exhibits some very strange behavior.
My original code used "Array Subset" to clear the data in a shift register.
My revised code just uses an empty constant.
Question #1. Why should it take at least double (perhaps triple) the ammount of memory to store data using the Array subset method.
and.. Why is the memory allocated before the "Array subset" is used.
Question #2. Why am I seeing significant residual memory usage that is not being re-allocated

The origins of this discovery was unexpected memory "behavior" in an application containing in excess of 1250 vi's and is attached to NI-DAq's, CAN and GPIB based hardware.
We were storing 6 minutes of 50 channels sampled at 5khz and recived an out of memory error.
To stop it failing, we reduced the sample rate to 1khz and gathered some metrics
We did the calculatons on how much memory it should take to store this many samples (360x50x1000x8) = 144 meg
The memory profiler was showing that on first run the memory would rise to an additional 432 meg at the end of sampling and at the point where the shift register was "zeroed" it would drop back to only 144 meg. On the next run it would rise back to 432Meg again.
For intellectual property and simplicity reasons, I wrote a basic VI to demonstrate the problem we found. I was not expecting it to be critqued for programming methods or whether or not it was a valid application.
The Fundamental problem is that Labview should not allocate 3 times the memory required and not give back a third of it on completion. Debug or otherwise.
The condensed .vi was first written without the diagram disable, which was added later as a tool to aid peers and NI LV Guru's a way to easily see the problem.
On another note, Why doesn't Labview access virtual memory to store this data instead of using RAM and running out?
We are planning a code extetion to sream the data to TDMS to compensate for this "characteristic".
