Attribute properties don't stick

I have a Date column that I want a time value from, so per earlier discussions I've created a custom formatter (etcc.oracle.jbo.format.DefaultDateTimeFormatter) to handle the task.
I go into the view definition, attribute StatusDate, Attribute properties tab
and set FMT_FORMATTER to etcc.oracle.jbo.format.DefaultDateTimeFormatter.
I then rebuild everything and the MsgBundle class shows:
{"StatusDate_FMT_FORMATTER", "oracle.jbo.format.DefaultDateFormatter"}, and the Attribute properties tab still shows etcc.oracle.jbo.format.DefaultDateTimeFormatter.
I have other tables where changing FMT_FORMATTER does what I expect, the difference between this one and the others is that at one point I was creating the view row class, although I unchecked that option when the problems started.
What's going on and how do I fix it? Help...about shows my JDev version as
10.1.2.0.0 (build 1811). Help ... check for updates shows no updates
available. OS is Windows 2k sp 4 + latest security patches, 2gb of memory.

Assuming the InApp selection is not causing your issue, I ran into a similar problem on a 5.1 SP3 environment. We had an application that was originally written in a 4.x environment. The dimension had > 100,000 members, and in 4.x the filters worked fine. However, in 5.1, the properties were not displayed in the filter dialog.
I opened a ticket with support, and after a few weeks, they confirmed that there is a bug when a dimension contains more than 26,000 or 27,000 members (I don't have the ticket handy, but I seem to remember that is the cutoff). Unfortunately, they told me that the fix would not be available until 7.0 was released.

Problem with JPGs Downlaoded with Nikon Transfer - Can't Apply Develop Settings in Bridge CS4 and ACR 5.3 Settings Don't Stick

I have found what I believe is a "problem" with JPGs downloaded using Nikon Transfer (ver 1.4.1) and processing same in Adobe Bridge CS4 (Develop Settings) and/or Adobe Camera Raw 5.3 (Photoshop CS4 and Elements 6 as hosts).
Anyone using these programs in their workflow?
The problem, quite simply, is that neither ACR settings (nor Bridge CS4 Develop Settings) "stick" when applied to JPGs that have been downloaded via Nikon Transfer ver 1.4.1.
The same images from the same cameras (D300 and D90), downloaded moments later using Nikon's predecessor software PictureProject work just fine in both Bridge and ACR. Develop Settings appled in Bridge immediately are seen, and JPGs opened in ACR, and settings applied, then "Done" immediately stick and are reflected in Bridge.
If someone else is processing their JPGs in this manner, please let me know, as I have reported the problem to both Nikon and Adobe, and although I have tested it on two different cameras and two differnt laptops, I would like to get an impartial result as well.
One other test, the problem does not seem to affect Nikon's RAW (NEF) format files downloaded from a D2x using Nikon Transfer. More/different test are forthcoming.

Can't say one way or another on that statement about using manufacturers' software. Since Adobe has to interpret each camera models' RAW format having the latest ACR seems to be the best option. But if the manufacturers' software is more convenient, and you get the same results then use it. But it does appear you are not getting what you want, so suggest you try a duplicate test run with images straight from the card reader to Bridge and see if you still have same problems.
I do know it is widely recommended that using a quality card reader gives you more reliable data than getting the pictures straight from the camera. Does not seem intuitive, but that has been experience of many.

Capturing OIM User Attribute Properties in OIM Export

I spent a significant amount of time going through the UI and creating UDFs and tweaking my existing and UDF fields to make sure specific ones are hidden and others are shown. I then used the deployment manager to export the User Metadata.
Upon import of my metadata, I found the following behavior
- UDFs were added (plus!)
- OIM User Field attribute properties were unchanged (negative!)
In other words, all the attributes I hid in my old environment are still showing up in my new environment. Does anyone know how I capture these properties in an export file?

You can try using MDS to see if it helps, but there is are some acknowledged or apparent bugs in OIM 11.1.1.5 on user field export / import.
1) The visible property does not import correctly and UDFs (bug 13861473 - not fixed at present)
2) Changed default values of out-of-the-box user fields in a configuration XML do not import (bug pending)
3) LOV queries in UDFs do not import correctly (fixed in 11.1.1.5.2)
I would be interested to know if MDS import does resolve such errors.

Customer-specific attributes (properties) for processes?

Hello community,
I already know how to define customer-specific attributes (properties) for documents stored in Solution Manager using the Document Modelling Workbench. For documents, everything works fine, so far.
But: I also want to define customer-specific properties for processes. Is this possible? If yes, how do I do that? I cannot find any related configuration options -- neither in SPRO nor in Solution Manager's own project configuration area.

Shortcuts don't stick. Hidden shortcut for Graph Type?

I realize there is a glitch that Adobe won't address. Custom shortcuts sometimes don't stick. The only tip I've received is to reselect my custom shortcuts each time I launch Illustrator (this is a pain).
I tried a different approach and assigned an alternative shortcut. But it still doesn't stick for one menu item: Object>Graph>Type.
When I was creating a new graph, I was in the data window and accidentally hit a key that opened the Graph Type dialog. I might have been imagining this, but does anyone know if there's an alternative key to open the Graph Type window?
I suspect Adobe is already preparing CS5 so I don't see a fix coming at all.

Preferences don't stick

One biggest nightmares of using Safari in last year is suddenly prefrences don't stick -- ie number of pages want search, to use/ not use search query etc. The problem vanished after last upgrade, but has resurfaces yesterday -- not sure if coincidence, but I downloaded some update from Apple, can't rememeber what, security thing and something else.
Anyone have any idea how to lick this beast!
The "basics" have not worked....clearing cookies, cache, deleting pref. file -- it "seems" be in an internal thing with Safari, as it did go away on last upgrade to 4.0.3, I think, but is now back

Maybe there's an underlying issue. Have you checked the startup disk for errors lately?
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger and later) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window where you see Capacity and Available. *Make sure there is always 10% free disk space*

The authorization don't "stick" to my computer.

I bought some music from iStore for the first time for some weeks ago and I haven't been able to play it on the computer from which I bought them from. It seems like the authorisation of this computer don't "stick" nomatter what I do.
This is what has happen:
I loged in to iStore, bought the music and downloaded it. All green so far. But when I then clicked on one of the new songs iTunes tells me that the computer isn't authorized (even if it already was). So I fill in the exact same user accout and password as I used when I bought the music (account name are also stated in the songs information tab, AND I have only one account). So it then tells me again that I now have authorized the computer, but nothing happens. When I then tries to push play, the same missing authorization loop procedure occour... over and over again.
The same happens for all new songs I bought... none of them works. Worthless. I couldn't even move them to my iPod because evertime it ask me about the account name and password and nothing more happend.
However, I authorized an other computer in the network and successfully moved the new songs over to that one, using the same username and password. On that computer everything worked out fine. I could even transfer the songs to my Nano from there... Isn't it strange?
BUT, the main problem remains. I can't play the music from my main computer and it ain't a small problem to me... in fact, my only intention for buying this music was to play it on my main computer which is the only one that is truly Hi-Fi connected if you know what I mean. The other computer is just a laptop with a "lowtech" soundcard.
So as I see it I haven't got what I bought yet...
On top of this I have spent the last week trying to solve the issue. Being a computers consultant as I am, I always reach for help when I finally run out of ideas myself, and this it it.
I have freneticly signed out, signed in, deauthorized, authorized, uninstalled, reinstalled iTunes, waited for this next release (7.3), payed, and finaly said words out loud I usally keep inside... Nothing seems to work!
I refuse to reinstall my computer because if this because it works like charm otherwise...

Move your photos into Photostream and then will appear available on you iMAC i iPhoto11.
Sometimes it seems to take a few minutues so try a few first.

Click Pad Settings don't stick

I'm using an HP Envy 15 Notebook with Windows 10. Currently using HP Control Zone v 19.0.1.12.95. Since the upgrade to 10, my clickpad settings (Settings > Devices > Mouse & touchpad > Additional Mouse Options > ClickPad Settings) don't stick after a reboot. The default 2-finger scrolling seems to be Aussie scrolling, and Pinch Zoom and Rotating default to selected. If I deselect them and reboot, the settings return to their default. Is this a Synaptics issue that they need to fix (and that I need to fix each time I reboot until they do), or is there an older driver set I could use? Feel free to move this to the correct board if I chose incorrectly. Thanks!

Hi I have the exact same problem with HP Pavillion and windows 10. Keep turning the pinch zoom setting off and when I restart it defailts back to on again.

Subtle iDVD bug - buttons don't stick

I have found a subtle bug in iDVD6.0.3.
If you manually place the inter-menu arrow navigation buttons, save, then later re-open your iDVD project and "update" it because you have edited the underlying iMovie project inbetween, the inter-menu arrow navigation buttons return to their default position for whatever theme you've used. They don't stick in your manually placed position. All chapter buttons stay in the right spots, manually placed or otherwise.
There is nothing you can do to stop this happening.
Not a fatal bug, but annoying enough.

Not exactly sure why this sometimes happens. I find that if I don't quit the application then I'm ok. However sometimes after quitting and saving and reopening these buttons do return to their default positions.
Go ahead and try this: drag and drop the plist for iDVD to the trash.
Quit iDVD. Locate a file named com.apple.iDVD.plist and get rid of it. iDVD will create a new one the next time it runs. Empty the trash and restart if needed.

Properties don't show up in the current viewbar filter

Hello,
When clicking the Entity dimension on the current view bar, then applying the filter, there is only one property option to select (The ID property). Even though there are about 15 properties defined. This dimension processes fine, but it is the largest dimension with around 35,000 lines. All other dimension properties appear under the filter. Is this a size issue? or is there another problem here?

Page properties don't show in IE or Firefox

Hi Guys, I'm very new to this so sorry if I come across as a
bit of a numpty..
I have built a site, and uploaded it to the net via my ftp
server. I went back to dreamweaver to change a few of the page
properties such as link colours and background images. I have done
this using the page properties button at the bottom of the design
view. All properties look as I want them in DW's design view. I
have not attached any CSS style sheets to the site (don't know how
to do this yet).
now when I 'put' the updated pages to the server, everything
goes fine, but when I view the site online neither IE or firefox
displays the style changes I have made. I know the old pages have
been overwritten by the new ones as if I make changes that are not
stuyle related (eg add an extra word to a block of text) this shows
in the browser as having been updated.
Why aren't my page properties being updated? any body know?

this page has a grid background, which should appear throughout the
whole site, but doesn't. There is also the default blue link border
around the blue page header (top frame) though in DW I have set the
link colour of that page to be white.
Any help would be HUGELY appreciated!!

Roles and Object queries tab not visible in MBO attribute properties

Hi,
We have installed the SUP Personal developer edition 2.0 on a windows 2008 server. I am trying to create a sample application for getting the list of sales orders by using the SAP BAPI. Once I have the MBO in place, I see that I cannot view the 'Roles' and 'Object Queries' tabs in the 'Attributes' section of the MBO properties.
Does anyone know why this happens? Is it due to configuration issues? Do help me out as we're trying to get a demo working.

Component properties don't exist anymore.

I have an component called: Event.cfc
Long story short, I init() it by issuing a command like:

This component has 2 properties: data (a structure) and name (a string).
The init() method calls a private method:

The setName() method is implicit, ColdFusion builds it based on the name attribute. I manually created the getAttribute() method which works with the data property. In the getAttribute() method, I have a command that reads:

Well, CF keeps saying that 'data' does not exist in VARIABLES. But I thought that properties that were defined in a component were put into the VARIABLES scope. So how can this variable NOT exist when I have it defined at the top of the Event.cfc component as a <cfproperty>?

Getting attribute properties from client tier is too slow

Getting properties for view object attributes is too slow, because a called to the server is made for every attribute.
I noticed that when a property is gotten for an attribute all properties are retrieved for it, but I couldn't found a way to get all properties for all attributes in the ViewObject.

See ApplicationModule.fetchAttributeProperties and it's usage in JClient in JDeveloper 9.0.3
