i've found that installing the "entertainment centre" enables the remote volume and on/off switch but nothing else seems to function.
seems a crap remote anyway, will probs get a proper pc remote off flebay.
didnt bother with the rest of it cos its all so "ooold",installed summat called vlc which works great and has equaliser etc and lots of sound settings to play with.
creative need to change thier corporate name to "pointless plc".
cheers all.

  • Audigy 4 Pro - Remote Contr

Hey,?I've got an Audigy 4 Pro card which i've had from new since 2005.However, i've only ever had the remote control working once, around about the time i first installed the card. Since then it's not worked. I'm currently running the latest drivers and mediasource 5, and still not getting remote control. I've been told i need Creative Media Centre, and i need to enable the remote, but A) i dont know where to get media centre since it's not on the downloads site for the Audigy 4 Pro. and B) i've tried looking for the "remote control" tab in media source, but to absolutely no avail. Can anyone tell me how i'm supposed to get my remote control working again? please?Martin

Entertainment Center is most likely found in the installation CD (X:\Audio\EntCntr\), I don't know if the A4Pro software can be installed individually, but if?you can't, copy the whole CD to the HDD and then copy engine32.cab from X\Audio\Setup\ to the app installation dir. If you no longer have the installation CD, download the ISO from BadBoy's page. http://badboy.hub.io/?You can try RMX automation, its a free program that lets you configure the buttons in the remote: http://sourceforge.net/projects/rmx/?

  • Audigy Platinum (headphones/remote contr

I read that when you plug in the headphones in the front panel, the speakers are automatically muted, but when i plug mine in,nothing happens.
When the headphones are plugged in i can hear a 'hiss',but the audio is still coming from the speakers.
I read through the forum and there is suppossed to be a tab in Audio Consol to enable this, but i do not have the tab. I have also reinstalled the software and updated the drivers.
The other problem i have is that when i start up my PC i get an error message saying that it cannot find the remote control reciever.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

  • RF remote contr

I just got an Audigy 2 ZS. I'd like to be able to control the volume/mute from other places in the house- where an IR approach to remote control would work.
My Logitech keyboard almost does this, but A) the keyboard is too large to lug around and B) the RF signal from teh keyboard does not reach more than a few feet (by design).
So, I'd like an RF-based hand-held remote control that I could plug in (probably via USB) and control the volume/mute (at least).
I spent a few minutes on the web and don't see a control ike this. Any ideas where I might get such a thing?
    -Thanks-

Since Apple locks down the dock connector, and similar parts of the SDK, there would be no way to have this type of device.

  • Sound blaster Audigy Remote Control / Remote Center in Windows 7

    @Hey Folks,
I have an Audigy Platinum with a remote control and version .46 of the Remote Center software.
Remote center has extremely limited functioning under windows 7 - I can eject the CD player, turn on/off clock
display, everything else either displays N/A in the overlay or gets no response (hitting the remote 'start' button for instance).
Is there a newer version of Remote Center that may have more functionality in Windows 7? I know of commercial software but I'd prefer a solution via creative labs or free and open source software if available. I have searched for newer versions of Remote Center but seem to be stuck with the version that came on my CD. Any suggestions?
    thanks,
    jd

zac,You need to get the Vista apps for your X-fi. Either pull the ISO files off torrent or one of the other sites or pay the $7.00 shipping fee for the CD from Creative. Install the entertainment center off the CD and you'll have remote control functionality. Steve

  • Audigy NX Remote & Windows Media Cen

Im lolking for Audigy NX but someone can tell me that can i use the remote of Audigy NX to control Windows Media Center.
    Thanks!

As far as I'm aware MCE isn't officially supported, I presume you are installing the standard XP drivers/CD, is that correct?
Just to rule out a simple problem, can you check if there is a light from the optical output (when you remove the little black button cover)? If there isn't, it means that either there is no power to the dri've, or that there might be a hardware problem. Check there are two cables going to the dri've, one is the flat grey cable from the card, and the other is a little power cable (like you would connect to a floppy dri've).

  • Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor - customise the rm-1500 remot

I have the RM-500 remote working with the audigy 2 zs video editor box.
I realise that I can customise the functions of the remote to a degree using the creative 'Remote Control & OSD Settings' software, but is there a way I can completely customise the button functions to run my own commands / programs?
There is a freeware thing called IntelliRemote which is designed to do just this, but unfortunately it only works with the internal audigy 5.5" blanking plate remote sensors - not ones connected through USB like the video editor box.
Is there any way to completely customise the rm-500 functions without using the creative software?
    Thanks
    Ben

Anyone know whether this is possible?
I'd love to be able to re-write the functionality of the supplied remote control.
Any chance of you guys at Creative releasing a small app which anyone could use to trigger a custom command on any remote control action?
    Thanks
    Ben

  • Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Remote Control not work

hello all.. Sorry for beating a dead horse. My installation on a P4 3.0 ghz machine of the Audigy 2 was flawless. All hardware diagnostics that have been run have been successful. Everything works. I updated all drivers. Everything is functional on the unit.....but...the remote control doesn't work.
When I got to setup the remote control and it asks to select a transmitter (rm-500) from a drop down list, it shows rm-500. but it the drop down list for the receiver is BLANK? I've tried several suggestions from the forum but it still doesn't work.
Have I missed something or is it quite possibly just a dud unit that I have to take back.
thanks for all suggestions and ideas...
    sony

OK, let's see, you have a device that is still under warranty. You properly installed said device. You put batteries in the remote but it does not work no matter what you try. It seems to me that you have only one option and you mentioned it in the penultimate sentence in your post.
    Hope it's not a long dri've.:smileyvery-happy:

  • Audigy 2 NX Remote Control Issues

I am unable to use the remote control bundled with the Audigy 2 NX for anything but (un)muting and changing the volume. Obviously the remote is sending the signal and the box is receiving it. I've installed the latest version of Creative MediaSource 3 and the remote control manager:
    CMS_PCAPP_LB_3_30_2.exe
    CMS_RMT_PCAPP_LB_2_30_02.exe
I have made sure that "Enable Creative MediaSource Remote Control" is enabled and that I have selected the proper remote model, "Creative RM-500," in the Remote Control & OSD Settings menu. Howerver, under "Select this as the remote control receiver:" there are no devices available. Yet the Audigy 2 NX is plugged in and functioning. It shows up as my acti've sound output device and I am able to play sound through it.
    Any suggestions
I'm running Window's Vista 32bit with 4 GB of RAM and an Intel Core2 Duo T9400 at 2.53GHz.
    Thanks!

I have a small problem of my own.
I have a setup like Laptop---> Audigy 2NX -----> Analog 7. spkr system on Windows Vista 32 bit.
I am having a hell of a time in getting the SPDIF to work.
Do you know how to get sound from the SPDIF?
I thought the new drivers I installed? would solve the problem. But with them, the SPDIF I/O controls are greyed out and there is no sound through the speakers when I set SPDIF as default speakers.
    Hi ppkumar,
So do you mean that when you set SPDIF as default speakers, you do not get any sound through the analog 7. speakers system that is connected to the Audigy 2 NX? Is there any sound from the SPDIF? When default is set to SPEAKERS instead of SPDIF, does your analog 7. speakers work correctly?
If you get sound from your SPDIF but not your analog 7. speakers when default is set to SPDIF, and sound from your analog 7. speakers but not the spdif when SPEAKER is default, then I would think the Audigy 2 NX is behaving correctly since that would be what I would expect.
