Audio Feedback or Echo

Hello,
Has anyone experienced an audio feedback or echo once playing back an audio taping/presentation? It seems there are two voice overs on the playback. I tried creating a new slide but get the same result. This was not a problem, in the beginning. Can you tell me how to resolve this problem. Thank you.

Hi - Try this:
Go to the Effects Tab
Audio Filters>Final Cut Pro and select the filter Expander/Noise Gate
Drag that filter on to the audio clip you wish to try and improve.
This filter works by making loud sounds louder and soft sounds quieter, so when you use it the background sounds and echos should be reduced.
You adjust it by double clicking on the clip which you applied it to, the clicking on the filters tab.
Adjust the filters effect by adjusting the Threshold control. I would nudge it up until it become objectionable.
This is processor intensive so you will probably need to render the clip after each adjustment to hear it play back.
Select the clip and hit Command -R.
Hope this helps.

  • Audio feedback on quiz buttons

Is there any way to add audio feedback to an automatically generated quiz button when it has been clicked e,g the submit button, undo button etc?
I have put audio feedback on smart shape buttons via advanced actions but an advanced action cannot be assigned to the above buttons.
Failing that is there a way to make a smart shape button into a submit button?
    Many thanks

The embedded objects in quiz slides, those who have no separate timelines, are different from normal interactive objects. There is no real difference between normal buttons and shape buttons as you seem to tell at all, just between embedded buttons that have specific functionality and the normal buttons. There is no way to replace a quiz button by a shape button at this moment, but that wouldn't change the way they act.
If you want audio, you can attach it to the feedback captions (Success, Failure) or put them in actions that are triggered by the Submit button: the Success and Last Attempt actions. More details:

  • Captivate 7.  audio problem.  Echoes

Captivate 7.  audio problem.  During playback my audio (mp3 inserts) echoes in a major way.

With the help of Adobe tech support we found the answer.  Two things:
    Run an update
If the echo is due to an import (eg.PowerPoint)
Go back to PowerPoint strip any sound you may have in it out
Bring the import in again making sure you do so with "High Fidelity"
    Insert sound again

Thanks for all your help and thorough answers. After trying several things
without success, I ultimately just rebooted the system and...bingo...the
problem went away. It was such an unusual problem that it just didn't occur

  • Why does my audio have an echo in GarageBand?

i am looking to edit audio. When I attempt to play back the audio exported from a recording software, Screenflow, the audio has an Echo. Ive turned the reverb all the way to the left off. I even went into Master Echo in the 'effects' smart controls and turned all the settings off. These did not solve my problem. Please help!

Generally setting a common Album title and Album Artist will fix things.

  • Audio feedback for wrong answer in Sequence and Hot Spot Questions

    I am having three issues:
Everytime I close the Quiz Manager after making some changes I get an error message saying I should Presenter has failed and I should resave and restart. See attached screenshot. I think this is also why I am having the two problems below.
I have uploaded the right audio response to use for an incorrect answer. But both my hot spot and sequence questions do not playback the feedback for the incorrect answer. The audio feedback for the correct answer works fine. I have allowed 20 attempts to answer the question.
I want the text for the correct and incorrect message to be the text in the audio feedback. So after I setup the questions I manually edited the Correct/Incorrect text boxes to be the text I want. But everytime I open and close the Quiz Manager, these refresh back to the default values of "Correct" and "Try again!". Is there any way to not allow such refereshing?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

What version of Presenter are you using? Have you tried applying any/all the updates?
    1. Hard to say exactly what is wrong. This may need to be addressed by Support.
    2. I believe that the incorrect feedback audio will only play on the final failed attempt (20th time in your case). This may need some testing to validate, if you change your number of attempts to two, and then answer it incorrectly twice, do you get the audio on the second failure?
    3. This sounds like an issue from early versions of Presenter 7 (7.0.5 resolved this if I remember correctly), but if it is Presenter 9, support may need to know about it.

  • Audio Feedback from Keys

For some reason I get audio feedback from any keyboard input while in Stickies. Only happens in stickies and Notes under the dashboad, as well.
It's not the keys themselves, it's actually coming from my powerbook, like a tiny tick sound, but definately not a mechanical sound; it's distinctively electronically generated.
It's hard to tell if it's coming from the speakers or not, and changing the system volume does nothing.
I've checked settings under Universal Access and every feature is off. There are no settings under Stickies or the Dashboard for any kind of audio feedback feature.
    Weird.
    Anyone else notice this?

Can you try an external microphone (connect via USB), and see if same issue occurs?  If the problem persists, then you might want to check hp.com to see if there is a newer audio driver for your model.

  • Why do I hear very loud audio feedback in earpiece/headphones during a call?

There is quite a substantial amount of audio feedback from the microphone to the earpiece on my 4S during calls. The problem is much more noticeable when connecting headphones. Is this a hardware problem? Should I deman a new phone (it's a week old) or wait for a software update?

    - Try another piar of headphones
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • Audio Feedback through Speakers

Does anyone get audio feedback from their iPhone? I get feedback in my office, home and car speakers. Any recommendations on how to stop the feedback?

AT&T has what is called a GSM wireless network (the largest in the U.S.) along with T-Mobile vs a CDMA wireless network used by Verizon and Sprint in the U.S. to name two. You can't use a GSM cell phone on a CDMA wireless network and you can't use a CDMA cell phone on a GSM wireless network.
The iPhone is a GSM phone and GSM wireless networks dominate the overall worldwide market by a very significant margin.
GSM phones have a tendancy to do this when near speakers depending on the speakers.

  • Audio feedback, continuous ringing tone.

elitebook 8650. have audio feedback. Only way to stop it now is to put a plug in the headphone jack. Otherwise is contuinuous.

I just uninstalled the IDT audio and stopped the feedback. Should I reinstall? Do I need IDT audio?
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Audio feedback

Using iChat with iSight on Tiger 10.4.8 and am receiving a one second delay of own audio transmission. This feedback reveberates and increases to a loud drum like boom/boom as the conversation continues. Have tried iChat with Mac to Mac and Skype from Mac to Windows, have tried two different iMacs and a Mac portable at three different locales. Have tried with or without external speakers connected, have purchased and tried using an audio headset/mic. The echo cancellation algorithm seems to simply continue to pick up sound internally. The only work around that seems to function is to use the iSight camera with an external speaker plugged in and to immediately turn off the external speakers whenever I speak and turn them back on when it appears that the other party is starting to speak. Any suggestions on what settings to change or how to approach this?
    iMac 2Ghz PowerPC G5   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Hi Darryl,
I have had this problem when using Skype all I had to do to resolve it was to turn down the volume of my speakers or use headphones. This stops the sound coming out of your speakers from being picked up by the mic and sent back to the other party. Asking them to do the same will also help.

  • Audio Feedback from Airport express

I just hooked up a new Airport Express Base station to extend my Airport Extreme Wireless network to my stereo using AirTunes. I am connected to the Tape 2 input on my receiver using mini plug to RC jacks. Seems like everything it's working fine except, the sound on my TV, which is wired through the same receiver, has a noticeable buzzing on all inputs (TV, Video 1,2,+3). This is clearly the Airport Express; present when the Airport Express is powered on and absent when powered off. I have switched the cable so I don't think this is the problem. Has anyone ever had this issue before? Any suggestions on how to eliminate this or minimize it?

    Hi Again Duane,
I just wanted to put a final post on this thread. Your suggestion did not turn out to be my solution. It turned out that I had a bad Audio input on my receiver which was creating the feedback. New input, no problem. Thanks for your help anyway. I did have quite a rat's nest of wires behind the stereo which are much more orderly by now.

  • Audio crackling/distorted/echoing

I have an mp4 file with the audio sounding perfect that I'm running through Adobe Flash CS3 Video Encoder to convert to an flv which I'm trying to then embed in a fla.
My problem comes in the fact that after its embedding when previewing it, the sound quality has -significantly- deteriorated to the point where it sounds crackly and echoing. I've tried changing the sound data rate to maximum, but it makes no difference at all.
    Any solutions?
    Thanks in advance.
    Ryan

Ok I exported it as a movie, and turned the audio quality up in the options there which sorted the problem completely. Does anyone know why before I export it that it degrades the quality so badly, and then reverts to the original quality after exporting?

  • Samsung Stratosphere In-Call Audio Crackling and Echo

Sometimes when I accept a call I notice that anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes in the speaker starts crackling with a weird distortion. It sounds kind of like one of those radiation detectors in the movies. The person on the other end hears echoing and not the noise itself. I would have thought this was due to a faulty earpiece but it is so intermittent I doubt it. Does anyone else have this problem? My phone is now 15 days old.

I've had my Stratosphere since about the beginning of February and I have had the same problem. During a call I'm told that my audio cuts out and also that the other party keeps hearing a clicking sound as the audio breaks up. I called someone today and left a voice mail. When I listened to it, prior to ending my call it was just a series of clicking sounds. I wound up sending the individual a text instead.
I've removed the battery and replaced it as well as done a system reset and also disabled the privacy settings. Help! I really like this phone but will need to make other arrangements if this isn't resolved quickly.
