  • Webcam controller box popping up during video call...

Hello. I am using Skype to make basic video calls. I have a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910. The webcam controller box keeps popping up during video calls w/o my doing anything. How can I get this behavior to stop? Thanks.

This a configuration issue with your Logitech software, not with Skype.
    1. Launch the Logitech Webcam Software
    2. Select "Preferences" in the top right-hand corner of the window
    3. Click on the "General" tab
    4. Uncheck "Auto-Launch Webcam Controller"
    5. Click "Save"

I cant see myself on the screen during video calls on Windows. What I have to do?

When you are on a video call, you may see a very small picture-in-picture window (thumbnail size). This is the picture of yourself. Click on it and it will be enlarged.

  • Webcam Randomly Turning Off During Video Calls

During a video call, my video will randomly stop.  I can start it again without problem, but would love to figure out why this is occurring, so that I can stop it from happening.  My video is showing perfectly fine in the Audio/Video settings.
The camera is showing as a FaceTime HD Camera.  I'm on Yosemite 10.10.1 with Skype version 7.0 (653).
Has anybody experienced this before and know how to fix it?

Thank you!  I'm glad I'm not alone.  I've had my pre for about 6 weeks and I love it. So... I bought an INVISI-SHIELD for over $20 at Best Buy.  Then the flickering and blank screens started a few days later. The only difference was the new protective, invisible, EXPENSIVE piece of plastic - so I trim it back to just the face (assuming it was a side sensor glitch) but it still didn't stop it.  So I peeled off the skin tonight and it seems to be fine... for the time being.
A WARNING would've been nice before I spent my money. I want to be reimbursed by Sprint! Thanks community - it was nice to get help from YOU!

  • Static audio noise during a call

    Hello,
Few days ago I bought Z3 compact and all works fine but one thing. I hear static audio noise (ssshhhhh) when speaker is activated - for example when i make a call or if i play music/video and turn volume down/off. I would like to know if this is normal on Z3 compact or i should go to service? I tried some other phone brands and there is absolutely no static noise on them. Can someone confirm me if he does/doesn't experience this? Btw. volume of that noise is not huge, just enough to annoy you during a call. Thx.
    Regards.

Hi. Just an update on subject. I took the phone to the repair service and they said all is normal - so they are telling me that background sound noise in earspeaker is a normal thing on a top model worth 500 EUR. Great. This really deserves detail sound review to be made via YT video. I will analyze amount of sound noise with sound editing software and publish video. Then we will see how normal all this is. Btw. same problem is described also here:

  • Minor bug: Smart Audio and voice/video call

Hi. There is a slight bug regarding the Smart Audio driver. Here's how to get the problem:
    1. As we all know, the speakers for X220 isn't exactly loud. So I overcame this problem by going in Smart Audio and selected the custom preset for EQ, setting all the sliders to maximum.
    2. Go have any kind of voice/video call, be it Skype or MSN. As Smart Audio senses a voice call, it sets the audio into VOIP mode.
    3. Here's the problem. After you finished the voice call, the EQ settings doesn't go back into my previous setting (the custom preset), rather, it goes back to "Off", the default setting.
    Thank you.

    hey jamestan,
have you tried uninstalling the Smart Audio driver and then install the latest version which is available on our website?
    If not, kindly do so.

  • FCP audio noise during video transistions

Hi. I have a strange problem with FCP Studio 2.I captured HDV video onto my scratch disk using ProRes 422,and i finish all basic edits and use Livetype templates to generate lower third titles and drop a few seconds of AVI video to which i also add text using Boris text scrambler to superimpose text onto the AVI video in FCP. Once all is done and rendered on the timeline in FCP i can hear strange audio noise/interference a slight distortion of the audio track during any part where a LiveType title or AVI video has a intensive transition used with a audio track associated with the transition. The more intensive the video transition the more distorted (like a slight pop) the audio gets, it is noticeable. when there is no transitions, the audio is normal. Is this just lack of CPU power on my MacBook Pro causing this audio probelm?
    Heath

Is everything rendered -no colored line above the video clips on the Timeline?
You might also need to check that all the render options are checked on.

  • Audio missing from video recording.

I recorded some camp footage with a canon rebel T2i. there is audio when i play the clip in imovie timline, but when i export it there are peices of the audio missing. I have removed the clip and re-uploaded it several times and the audio is still missing in the same places. Im not sure if maybe i have the setting wrong or if maybe the file from my camera is corrupted.

Same problem with me and it seems a lot more users. Audio and Video are playing fine in other players and other types of video, everything is connected as it should. You would think that something major like this would not get past quality control before it's being released. I'm getting more and more agitated as there has been absolutely no mention of this from Apple, yet this seems to be a wide spread and major problem. I bought Season 1 of The Office tonight and it is rendered useless because audio won't play, and the DRM limits how you can view your videos.

  • Green picture during video calls

I am only getting a green screen from my camera when making video calls on x box one,can anyone suggest anything

What Skype version are you receiving the video from your Xbox from?
Or to be more precise: Which Skype version on which plattform is sending the green video? It's usually the recording and not the playback end of video that is causing this. Make sure you are running the latest available Skype version on that plattform.

  • Runtime error during video calls - "pure virtual f...

When I video call someone, about 10-30 seconds into the call my video freezes and subsequently vanishes on the other end of the call, and I get a popup error titled "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" with the body:
    "Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe
    R6025
    - pure virtual function call"
On my end of the call, I can still see my own video and the other person's video. If I click OK or X on the error message, Skype crashes.
If I call someone without video, Skype does not crash. If I later add video, Skype crashes similarly. If the other person has video and I don't, Skype does not crash; if I have video and they don't, Skype does crash. Skype does not crash while previewing my video in the video options.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. I've updated Skype a few times since this started happening, and it only started happening when I was forced to update by being signed out. It does not happen on my other computer.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • During video calls, constantly changing video form...

    Hello there!
when I make video calls on my Kindle Fire HDX 7, the video format on my side often changes. It will suddenly cycle through 2 or 3 aspect ratio settings, and each time it changes there is a BING or PEEP or BEEP sound.
I think this is minimized when I sit in one place, hold the tablet still, and dont make any wild movements.
Anyways, this is very disruptive, and makes video calling with Skype on this device not very satisfying.
So, thanks for any tips ahead of time!
    binary0101

I contacted Amazon with a chat help session, and did not receive any helpful advice. Got the suggestion to try Viber to see if that works.
This must be an issue with Skype, so its too bad no input is coming from anyone on the inside... ahem. The fact that Skype comes preinstalled on the HDX lead me to believe that it would be optimized for the device, which was clearly not the case... yet anyways.
My solution: ditch the Kindle Fire HDX. Skyping was one of my main reasons to have one, and it works quite poorly. This shouldnt be a challenge for a device with such a powerful processor.

  • Skype 4.4.507 on Blackberry Z30, No speakerphone during video calls

I'm trying to solve why when i make a video call in skype the only sound from the phone comes from the top internal speak and not the speakerphone, making it impossible to hear the other person unless i hold the phone to my head like a call, making video calls kinda pointless.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have 3 more weeks to decide if i want to keep this phone and this might be a deal breaker.

You can also use headphones actually they did that this way in order the person you are talking to not to hear his voice...

  • Skype freezes during video call, no issue with har...

    Hi All,
I have recently been set to the task to figure out why everyone around me cannot skype a video call longer than approx. 2mins without the feed freezing, going black, or turning to static.
I have read almost all the forums in the community on video freezing and have tried all listed options.
I have throughly checked all of mine and others laptops hardware for functionality and nothing is wrong.
It is running Windows 8.1 and has all Windows updates, software and firmware updates.
It seems many people are crying for an answer for this and reverting to an old version of Skype is no longer possible.
Ideas??? ***Please do not reply with: reinstall your driver or test your camera to see if it freezes in other programs. This has been done. This is not a computer model/operating system specific issue and I see it as a skype issue.

Try to uninstall the currently installed Skype version and install the previous 6.14.0.104 version using the download links provided here:

  • Audio missing on video camera

The audio for music, podcasts, ring tones, and even You-Tube work perfectly fine, for both speaker and ear phones, but I cannot get audio when recording video. This problem started a few months ago and seemed to "fix" itself. It's back again and a restore and update have no effect on fixing the problem
    Anyone elsehaving the same issue?

This seems to be an ok work-around. Didn't take as long as I thought.
Although a 4 minute video is still almost 2GB. Is that normal?
What are the best settings in QuickTime or MPEG Streamclip to export to for YouTube? How about for DVD burning in iDVD?
For iDVD, I would just use the master you already have. iDVD will have to compress it to DVD format. There is no need to do an intermediate conversion, that would add time and degrade quality somewhat.
For YouTube, it is likely that you *do* need to pre-convert, for two reasons: the file is too large, and the format might not be accepted anyway. The most obvious choice is to h264. It will likely be compressed again at their end. I am not sure as to what the best settings might be.
