Audio Out always working?

I have a question about the audio analog output of the 19SL410U TV.  Will muting or changing the volume of the TV
have any effect on the output of the L and R stereo jacks on the back of the set? Is my assumption that the
output terminals provide standard LINE OUT: correct?.
Thanks for the help.

Muting or changing the volume will not have any effect.
I see the following on page 18 of the user's guide:
Note: The audio signal from this output is
always available. However, the volume is fixed
and can only be controlled by the stereo audio
system connected.

  • External speakers - audio out not working

I have these old Creative speakers with a subwoofer that I often use with my macpro laptop.
I just bought a 4K Mac Pro tower, and on the back, I see two similar jacks, one of them with a little speaker icon, which I assume, means thats where I should plug the speakers in.
I plug my speakers in there and they don't work. I plugged my speakers into the little jack next to it, and it still didn't work. I did this extensively. Stupidly, even.
I plug my speakers in the headphone jack on the front and they work just fine.
The speakers have always worked, we used to use them as part of our home stereo system, and they were plugged into an audio out jack. I've never had a problem with them.
Is there something wrong with the audio out jack on the back of the tower? Is there a way to fix this? A driver? Software? It's not a huge deal, but I would rather keep ugly cables behind my computer.
    Thanks!

Do you know if there is a way to have the sound output coming from both analog audio outputs at the same time - from the headphone jack and the back jack? I'm amazed you can't have both working at the same time.
    With Audio Hijack Pro
    <http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/>
you can take the output from any application, or all system output, and use the "Auxiliary Device Output" effect to send it to a second output device.

  • NEO2 Audio out not working & Mobo Review

Everything finally working great! Have all the latest live updates and after some hiccups getting the system built, it appears to be everything MSI promised it would be.
I have 3 80 Gig SATA drives, P4 2.53 GHZ, 1 Gig Corsair ddr400 memory in dual mode, 1 Panasonic DVD RAM, 1 SAMSUNG dvd/cdr, 1 Internal multi card reader, Realtek 5600 128 meg video card. Canopus DVSTORM2 hardware/software editing solution. All IRQ's are happy and finally set and there are no conflicts. The system is fast and has not crashed since installing the latest drivers and patches.
The only bad news is,... my audio out is not working! The front panel headphones work, but I can't get any audio out of the back ports. I have the Audio 6 channel port installed, even though I only need 2 channel stereo. I have played with all the settings, and still get nothing! I need also to get audio into the back, which is also not apparently working. All the devices say they are installed and working properly, I just can't get any sound. :O
So.......... Either someone on this thread has some options for me, or I'm off to get a audigy sound card, but I feel I'm pushing it with all the other system devices and IRQ's I'm using. So I would like to use the built in audio. Any help is appreciated.
Also a note... I can hear in the headphone out, a real presence of the SATA drives spinning and reading, it definitely is not a clean output, with the high end drives, they are sooo fast they create electrical ambient sound effects that are loud and annoying! unless listening to R2D2 on steroids is a desired experience!  :D LOL! Perhaps another sound card would bypass this also. As always.... pushing the limits of technology, hey and I haven't even started overclocking any default settings yet!
Anybody have a shot list of settings that might be useful?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Check the front panel audio connector. There are usually 4 pins which need to be shorted to have signal output directed to the rear audio ports. The manual will give the exact pins to short. I think you'll find it's pins 5 & 6 (right channel signal in & return) and pins 9 & 10 (left channel signal in & return). Basically, if you use the front audio header, the rear audio ports wont work.

  • MacMini HDMI Audio Out Not Working

    Greetings all,
I have a 2010 Mac Mini plugged into a Yamaha RX-V71 Receiver via HDMI.  The receiver is plugged into a Samsung TV via HDMI.  The image displays correctly onto the TV however the audio only plays through the Mac Mini's internal stereo.  When I go to System Preferences -> Sound - > Output - my receiver is not listed.  The only items listed are the Mac Mini and the Samsung TV.  When I go to Applications -> Utilities -> Audio MIDI Setup the receiver is not listed only the Mac Mini and the Samsung TV.
I have swapped out HDMI cables.  Mac Mini is updated to Lion 10.8.2.  The receiver is on and I have tried restarting the TV, Mini and receiver multiple times in different orders.
Does anyone have any suggestions or a fix for this?
    Thanks!

This is the same for my setup.
Have you tried selecting tv hdmi as your output device?
That is what I select to play through my receiver.

  • Optical audio out not working (incl the solution for me)

    problem:
    new 2011 Mac Mini, 2.5G
    connecting to
    a) TV via HDMI
    b) to a D/A converter and amplifier for a bit better music output
This worked perfectly for my previous MiniMac that I replace due to my need for speed.
Now, I could see some red light at the end of the optical cable, but the D/A box did not recognize a signal?
Furthermore, the Sound switch in Settings would only make the TV play.
    solution:
after a lot of troubleshooting at the Genius Bar in Beijing (big thanks for that ... the shop is terribly crowded and they never manage to keep the appointments), we found the optical cable to be faulty .... it was apparently bent too much and still had some throughput but not enough to make the receiver read it.
    Nasty one!

I just purchased this exact same receiver (used). Same issue with Apple TV. Anyone ever figure out to make it work correctly? Thanks.

  • Micro usb audio out feature addition request

so i had a pair on micro usb headphones out and i thought it would work on my stream 7, because of the buzzing problem. However it doesnt work and windows dosnt seem to read it either. Any way for a bios update for the stream 7 so micro usb audio out will work, and any hp prgram for them to make, so i can use headphones.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

I know of no device that has OTG "Built in".. so with that said...Micro USB headphones are in more of a testing phase, and only supported by a select few phones/tablets. The device itself has to be "usb headphone aware" because normaly none of these devices default to host mode (ie none of them react to usb connections in the same way a PC/laptop does).
USB phones have been around for a while, and if MicroUSB headphones have a fall back that allows it to be detected as a sound device by any usb host port then using an OTG cable (You will probably need an adapter to convert the Type A connection back to Micro B) it should work fine on the Stream 7. However my understanding is microusb headphones are being designed around a more direct support from mobile devices, much like MHL offered HDMI over usb.

  • No digital audio out since Mountain Lion install

MacMini 2009.  Digital audio out was working fine with Lion.  Installed ML from scratch (had unrepairable filesystem).  No digital out since.
During install I migrated from a time machine disk which installed SoundFlower.  I've since removed SoundFlower.
Internal speakers work with nothing plugged in.  Headphones work.  Digital out doesn't.  Sound Preferences has only a single output device that changes depending on what is plugged in.  That is, Internal Speakers does NOT show when headphone or digital out is connected.
Have reset PRAM and rebooted several times.  Deleted sound preference file.
Audio MIDI setup defaults to 44100hz "2ch-24bit Integer".  If I change it to "Encoded Digital Audio" then Play in iTunes does not move the position indicator - ie looks like it is still paused.

I've the same problem but i don't realy understand how you have fixed it. It's my first macbook so i try to understand everything.
At my mac there are also ? In the places of adressbook and ichat, and i couldn't find imessage/message.
    Please help me
I hope you understand my bad english, i'm from the netherlands.

  • Optical digital audio out?

does any one have optical digital audio out to a receiver working? it doesn't work for mp3 through itunes, video purchased on itunes, cds or dvds. works fine with the same setup and a previous generation macbook so i know it's not the receiver or cable.
my fear is that this is a defective design issue related to the displayport hdcp issues. hopefully, my hardware is just malfunctioning.
i was on the phone over an hour with apple troubleshooting, but no one had an answer to the hdcp question.
    thanks.

i took my macbook up to the apple store to the "genius bar". after a few minutes, they just decided to replace the entire macbook. fine. after i got home, i immediately tested the digital out port. it works! fantastic. unfortunately, throughout the course of the night i continued setting up the new macbook. i later try the digital audio out and now it's not working.
this morning i'm trying it again and it's working, briefly. i've found that by moving the cable around near the output jack that the sound will come and go. i tried a different cable with the same results. although it seemed to work less frequently. both cables in different devices (including a previous generation macbook) work fine.
i've also noticed some of the comments on this forum and others (i think they were referring to different notebook models) about people having problems with the internal speakers not reactivating after unplugging headphones. my guess now is that the headphone jacks are just poorly designed, manufactured or i'm just unlucky.
i would think it's definitely not an hdcp or other content protection issue.
i guess i could exchange for another macbook, but with 2 having this problem it's seeming less likely another one will work out. i guess i could just be really unlucky and maybe 3rd times a charm. my only other alternatives as i see it are returning it or just living with the digital audio out not working (annoying, but everything should work on a $1500 laptop).

  • H320 40411GU driver to get hdmi ausio out to work.

Thanks for takin the time to read this.  I am having a problem getting my hdmi audio out to work.  I upgraded to Windows 8 and hated it so I installed Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. Everything went smooth and I was able to get most the drivers I needed of the Lenovo website.  I got everything running great except for one problem.  I have no audio through my hdmi cable.  I know there is supposed to be a way to select it through the playback devices but I don't have that option.  I'm thinking either I have the wrong video driver installed (although I got it from Lenovo website and it works otherwise perfectly) or it has something to do with my audio driver.  Here is a capture from my device manager.
So what I cant find anywhere is what make my onboard graphics is for this model (Lenovo site has 3 options ATI, Nvidea, and Intel) The Intel driver is whats currently installed like I said is otherwise working fine.  Or is there something I am missing? Any help would be super appreciated!!!!
    Norm

    Hello and welcome,
To verify: when you right click on the speaker in the Windows tool tray and select "Playback devices" you don't get a pop-up like this?  (This isn't on a Lenovo, but I'd expect your machine to show something similar.)

  • Audio out port doesn't work well

Hi, I have a Macbook Pro 13-inch, Early 2011. Since I bought it I always use my Mac whit headphones, but since a month it only works well the left headphone. I think that the problem it was my headphones but no, because I used it on my phone and workes well. So i come to the conclusion that the audio out port doesn't work well. What you think? And what you recommend to me to fix this problem?

Probably still under warranty, but not for long. Take it to the Apple Store or AASP to have it checked ASAP.

  • Fan always working, trying to find out why

Hello everybody. My MacBook Pro has been recently behaving strange in regards to its fan. It is always working, often on really high speed. The monitor doesn't really show any extreme process CPU activity except kernel_task from time to time or safari "Web-Inhalt" (not sure what this is in English). Here is my recent EtreCheck. Maybe someone could take a fast look at this for any culprits that might trigger the fan. Thanks a bunch!

  • MBP- Digital Audio Out is always on

For some reason after (I believe) I updated to 10.4.9 the Digital Audio Out on my MBP is always on, thus making the internal speakers unusable. If I plug in headphones they work fine but after I unplug them it switches back to digital audio.
    How do I fix this?
    15" MBP 1.83ghz.   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   1.5gb of Ram,

ok, since this prob comes up every week and often more than once a week, I wrote a detailed explanation and saved it so I could repost it next time it happened to someone. here it is:
the audio input/output connector on all mac notebooks is a dual function connection. it can switch between analog and digital optical. the way it does this is by an automatic sensor that detects what is plugged in. if it detects that an optical digital cable is connected, then it will switch to digital output and/or input mode as the case may be. this is why you see a red light - it's the optical digital audio stream. it seems that in many cases, people's connectors are becoming stuck, and the machine thinks there is a digital optical cable plugged in. it can happen if you've connected or disconnected headphones, or speakers, or possibly even if something is loose in that port and it just gets jammed with the sensor being tripped. people have suggested trying to gentle poke inside the port with a paperclip, to try and reset the sensor back to the setting that nothing is plugged in. for some people it has worked, for others, not. you can also try plugging in headphones and unplugging them a few times to see if it does the trick. if none of this works, then unfortunately the best bet is going to be taking the machine in for a service.

  • Audio out on MacX doesn't work with Quad Capture. Any fixes?

I downloaded the FREE Mac X only to find out that the audio out through my Quad Capture does not work. Any solutions?

Did you download and install the latest 10.9 compatible drivers for the Quad Capture, from Roland?
    http://www.rolandus.com/products/details/1166/downloads/
You may need to update the QC itself to 1.04
Read the notes in the “QUAD-CAPTURE_System_Update_Procedure” pdf  to achieve this successfully
and then update the Mac drivers to 1.5.1 provided on that page too.
Bear in mind... in the future when there is a major OS X version upgrade like the one from 10.8 Mountain Lion to 10.9 Mavericks, always make sure there are compatible drivers for your external hardware such as your QC from Roland..  before upgrading..

  • I have an Retina display MacBook Pro with HMDI out port. I also have an HDMI to Component cable with Audio Plugs. How can I get HDMI out to work with this cable when plugged into the Component and Audio ports on my TV?

I have an Retina display MacBook Pro with HMDI out port. I also have an HDMI to Component cable with Audio Plugs. How can I get HDMI out to work with this cable when plugged into the MacBook Pro and connected to the TVs Component and Audio in ports.

Will not work.  To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported.  The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.
