Authorisations to search in PPOME

Hello Experts,
I am facing a peculiar issue where when i am trying to search for an employee under an org unit i am getting a message saying that "Result list is incomplete due to missing authorization".
As a turnover, i have enhanced the FM 'STRUCTURE_BUILD' in the FM "RH_STRUC_GET" to bypass the authorisation check for OTYPE = O / S / P.
But still am getting the same message.
Can someone pls guide me on how I can overcome this error.

OK. You can ask some ABAPer to debugg the code. Execute PPOME transaction after that when you will search employee then drag the text file to the screen and debugging will be on. After that ask the abaer to find if there is any BADI or EXIT.
The contents of the text file will be ....

Type=systemCommand

Hi,
I assigned a Search node to a new object type (A) in Find by area (left hand side of PPOME) of T. Code PPOME.
If I click on Search I am able to view all the work centers created in the system but I am not able to see the user (assigned through relationship US to Work center in IT 1001) assigned to the Work Center at the right hand side screen of PPOME. Similarly I am not able to see Infotypes too on the menu on right side.

Hi,
From goto menu select an appropriate option.
If standard paths do not suit your requirement, then you need to enhance via Hierarchy framework in SPRO - Personnel management - org management.
+Go to t-code OOFRAMEWORKCUST.
First define a service with the relevant evaluation path. SERVICE1
e.g. you want to see only S-S connections, then you should use S-S evaluation path (you may need to create a new evaluation path)
Then select scenario definition (hier. framework).
Select OME0.
Double click request definition.
Create a new entry service for 1st interface object is to be the service name you've created above. (SERVICE1)
Select the entry you've created and double click Req in scenario for each obj type.
Enter the object types in your evaluation path.+

Structure Search-PPOME

Hi,
I assigned a new object type A (Work Center) in Find By area (left hand side of PPOME) of PPOME.
I configured Structure Search using table T77FSEAT. When I click on Structure Search( in PPOME) I am getting a message u201CNo Structure Existsu201D.
Please Help in making the Structure Search functional.

Hello Jack,
If you have restricted access to use PA20, then you would also have some restrictions for using transaction PPOME.
If you search for PPOM / PPOME then you will find some more information on them to assign roles to positions.

Probelm in Visual Composer config in developer studio (NWCE7.2) for R3/BI

I have installed the NWCE7.2 for pilot and having problem in configuring the Visual composer in developer studio to connect to Backend R3/BI

We can view the services by creating a logical destination in the NWDS.
For this purpose we need to do the following steps :-
Window > Preferences > Destination Configuration > R/3 Configuration - For ECC destinations
Window > Preferences > Destination Configuration > Web Service Configuration - For Web service.
Please try it and let me know if successfull.

I need an install for Windows Server Enterprise 2008 32bit. I am taking over a contract and the previous techs did not setup the licensing site to download the software. When I go to the licensing site to setup the account and retrive our software
it is asking for a license number and authorization number. I called microsoft and they are asking for the same. I called the vendor we purchased the software and licensing and they cannot track down the transaction. What I have is the product
key and have confirmed with Microsoft this key can be used for both 64bit and 32 bit. All I need is the Windows Enterprise 2008 32 bit install CD or iso. Please assist.

In terms of your Licensing portal and agreement/Auth number, Please visit the below website and call your local licensing provider, but this time request a site name search for your site name (Company Name or Client Name) for all License agreement information,
this will require the client company (customer) to put this on a letterhead page and signed by an official and faxed to microsoft before they will authorise the search, Its lengthy process but worthwhile if there are lots of licensing agreements in the balance.

Vendor search by matchcode - account group authorisation

We have various vendor account groups including one for paying employee expenses. We are finding that users with access to vendor matchcode search can see vendors for all account groups (including employees) listed in the search even though we have restricted them by authorisation object F_LFA1_GRP to specific groups. Whilst they are not permitted to view full details of the employee the list does show address details. Does anyone know how we can restrict this?

Can I filter search by authorisation group?

We have 5 sales orgs e.g. Z001, Z002, Z003, Z004, Z005. Each employee belongs to one sales org only. When the user searches on accounts I want to filter the search by the sales org the employee belongs to.
To test this I maintained the business partners and assigned the authorisation group Z001 to 5 of our customers in one sales org. I have also assigned the authorisation group Z002 to 5 of our customers in another sales org that I do not want displayed. For others I have left empty. I did this because it is not a practical solution for us to maintain an authorization group for every customer.
In transaction PFCG I have maintained the authorization group B_BUPA_GRP with the entry Z001 as this is the sales org I want displayed for this role.
When I search for the customers (with no search criteria) it does not appear to do any filtering at all as more than 5 records were found, which is not correct.
When I run the trace (ST01) I find that for the 5 customers that have the authorization group Z001, it is allowed. This is correct. For the 5 customers with authorization group Z002, it is not allowed. This is correct. However for the customers without any authorisation group assigned it is allowed. This is not correct.
How is it possible to not display customers without an authorisation group?

Well Declan..you have to note this thing before going for this solution.
The field you want to add as a hidden search parameter , should not be available on UI.
Otherwise controlling the user will be very difficult.(Nevertheless, you can achieve it, but have to take lot of pains.)
For example if you want to display partners belonging to a particular country say 'US',then add a record to GT_HIDDEN_PARAMETERS.
DATA: ls_params   TYPE genilt_selection_parameter.
    ls_params-attr_name = 'COUNTRY'.
    ls_params-sign      = 'I'.
    ls_params-option    = 'EQ'.
    ls_params-low      = 'US'.
    APPEND ls_params TO gt_hidden_parameters.
Implement this code in EH_ONSEARCH and then call super class. Standard code by default reads this gt_hidden_parameters.
This is proprietary to BP_HEAD_SEARCH Component. If you have to implement this for some other componet then you should create an attribute gt_hidden_parameters and then read this internal table manually and manipulate the search criteria as is being done in standard code of method EH_ONSEARCH of BP_HEAD_SEARCH/SearchHelp.
As I mentioned earlier COUNTRY attribute should not be available on UI.
If Country was available on UI, then imagine a case if user enters 'UK' as country and you have hard-coded inside to get only 'US'
Then the result list have partners of 'US' despite user entering 'UK'. I mean to say the hidden parameters should not be available on UI.
This way you can any valid hidden attributes by looking at the search object of the serach page in Model Browser.

you can assign the infoset in table view T77OMAHQ_FUNCAR. There for the scenario (for PPOME it is called OMEOO0) and the object type you can assign the infoset.

HT203163 I recently had to replace my laptop and now when I try and sync my phone to my laptop I am asked to authorise the laptop, but after I enter my login and password, the search for itunes fails with a message that itunes is not currently available

I recently had to replace my laptop and now I can't sync iTunes and my phone - the message is that the laptop is not authorised and when I try and authorise it it says that the itunes store is currently unavailable - but it is available on my phone, and I have been trying for over 24hrs - it should be available by now.
I have checked my firewall settings and they are ok
How can I remove old PC's that I no longer use and make sure that this is the only computer that is authorised for my account - and how can I access the iTunes store so that I can authorise it?

Does de-authorising reduce the authorisation count?

I have heard rumour that de-authorising previously authorised PC/devices doesn't actually reduce the activation count for ADE.
I this true?
I got a bit carried away when I 1st started and authorised 3 PCs at home and my bebook reader. My bebook reader had to be returned due to fault - unfortunately I didn't de-authorise it before it - adobe support tells me that there's nothing I can do about that (so that's one activation gone) and when the replacement reader turns up another activation will be used - that will be five in total - so if de-authorising does nothing to the count I'm left with one authorisation till the end of time - I've asked suppoort about this and haven't had an answer - I'm a little wary of buying more ADE books if the authorisations run out (due to pc failure or reader failure or uprades of either) and being stuck with a library I can't access.
I've checked around the forums and it looks like exceeding the authorisation count is not an uncommon problem and there appears little progress on fixing the problem on Adobe's part.
I am still waiting for a reply to the last post.
Following is my discussion with support -
Ok I understand that I can't de-activate the reader now it has been returned but assuming I keep using digital editions for years to
come, as PCs die or need the hard-drive replaced/reformated and the breakdown usually occurs without warning (ie I don't get the ch
ance to de-activate the PC) won't I eventually run out of activations? (I've already lost one to the returned ebook, one on the PC I
download with and one to the new reader when it arrives)
Under those circumstances do I have to then create a new accounbt and lose access to all my previously purchased ebooks?
I would have thought the record of authorisations would be held by adobe and therefore able to be removed/reset by adobe.
I'm just trying to understand the authorisation process before I invest too much in digital edition ebooks.
The number of authorisations is something else I'm little confused about I read in one place that I could have 6 PCs AND 5 ebooks de
vices but I think I reade on the adbode site that it is only 5 PCs or devices in total.

Yes, you only want to deauthorize when getting rid of a machine (as a step remove your personal information), or when directed to by a competent tech support person.
If you run out of activations you will need to contact tech support by going to http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions and clicking on 'Submit a web case'

I have recently downloaded MacKeeper. It ran OK for a bit, but has recently stopped allowing Internet security updates and switching on of the internet protection options.
Asked for help at MacKeeper. Their initial advice did not work, so a very nice technician was going to remotely attempt to fix the issue.
He however needed/still needs access to Terminal, a to me unbeknown Utility feature of my MacBook pro with Mac OS X 10.6.8.
While attempting to open Terminal the following came up
You are not authorised to run this application.
The administrator has set your shell to an illegal value.
Did do a diskverify permission and repair and restart.
Did check my admin settings in advanced options and have the /bin/bash.
Any advice anyone.

After finally localing private/etc/shells through Go>Go to folder and replacing the empty shells with the shells~orig I have permission again to open Terminal. Thanks. Another step.

Should work but the file or folder needs to exists to access it. If you typed in /private/etc/shells and the file wasn't there there's no place to access. Certainly /private/etc was there so that would have worked.
So what will happen by inputting the lines
ls -Fvl /bin/bash
ls -Fvl /etc/shells
more /etc/shells
into Terminal?
Basically to find out what you already seemed to find out. The first command was to display owner, group, and permissions of /bin/bash and to tell me whether it still existed.
Similarly for /etc/shells.
And the last command would have just displayed what was in /etc/shells.
By the way /private/etc and /etc are the same folder.

Lots and lots of authorisation checks in a listbox and a report

I have an usual situation in one page here (Apex 3.0, Oracle 10g r2). I tried to find a solution for it searching the forum but no luck.
It is a very simple page with an HTML region with some parameters and a plain report region below it. In the HTML region there is a list box based on a LOV, and when I turn the debug on what I see is:

See the reference to pkg_cel.is_authorized('NEC'). This is probably calling apex_application.public_role_check which invokes the authorization scheme logic.

How do I authorise my Imac for Itunes after replacing the hard drive?

Apologies, but I am new to forums and understand that the issue of "Authorisation" of Itunes purchases and rentals has been done to death! However, I have tried everything and have exhausted normal research on the Net, there doesnt seem to be standard sollution to my problem. I have replaced the Hard Drive in my Imac 2008 with an SSD which makes the Imac very fast and effcient and completely clean of the usual trash in an old computer. So before renting my first movie, I did the following:..................................
Formatted the hard drive and downloaded and upgraded to OSX to 10.5.8 (the latest I can go on this Imac (I think) Intel 3.06Ghz 2 core and 4GB SSDRAM)
Upgraded Itunes to the latest available
Upgraded Quicktime to the latest available.
I rented a film which will not play and initially I got the "not authorised on this computer" message which kept repeating despite saying it was "waiting"
So I did the usual apple support search and tried the following:..................................
I checked that my apple User ID and password where up to date and that I was purchasing on the right ID
Tried the standard.....Itunes/Store/Authorise this computer - tried unauthorising and then re-authorising No luck
I tried deleting the (/Users/Shared/SC info) file No luck
I tried the Terminal based solution "sumo chmod -R 777 /Shared/Users" fix It didnt work either
I don't get the authorisation warning any more but just get a black screen with a grey horizontal stripe across the middle
I would be very grateful if somene could give me another sollution to try............................
