Authorization control for cost analysis/itemization view

Can we control the access to cost analysis/itemization report in CO03 by authorization control ?

Most probably it may not be possible.
moreover, Why do you want this? Cost analysis will be in display mode only. Infact it benefits the user. They can analyse and correct the master if required.
Think once again before making control. Because, everytime people has to come to authorised person to see the cost difference, which will disturb the authorised person.
This is my personal opinion.

I found that there is no authorization control for actual price calculation(KSII), this means user can calculate actual price for all cost centers, even this cost center belongs to other company. Is there a way to control this?

By SAP standard we do not have the control. we also have the same situation. We are venturing in to Realisation phase and we decided to have some kind of program (development) to control this.

Authorization Object for Cost center

Hi Experts;
We are using SRM 7, classic scenario.
We are copying SRM tcode: BBP_BW_SC4 to a Z report and modify it. The users will be given the access to display the status of thier SC.
How can I restrict the user from displaying the SC of other department's? Is there an authorization object for cost center in SRM? is there any other away to restrict the users from displaying SC related to other depts.

by the way, why are you not using the standard SAP powl queries? they anyways restrict you from viewing others SCs except your team

Authorization objects for transaction, one to view, and one to maintain

Hi all,
My requrement is to create two authorization objects for transaction, one to view, and one to maintain.
I know how to create objetcs vai sm21, but i donot know how to crate objects with activity codes.
Please suggest how to create object where i can asign activity codes.

The Authorization Concept
R/3 uses authorization objects to assign authorizations to users. An authorization object is a template for an authorization. For example, authorization object F_SKA1_BUK - G/L Account: Authorization for company codes requires the specification of two field values: Company Code and Activity. To allow a General Ledger supervisor to create a general ledger master record, he/she must be assigned an authorization to create (Activity 1) accounts for a specific company code (eg. Company Code 2000). Such an authorization is created using the object F_SKA1_BUK by assigning these field values and naming the authorization following an appropriate convention (eg. Z_SCC20001).
Authorizations may be classified as general authorizations, organizational authorizations or functional authorizations. General authorizations specify the functions a user may perform. Authorization object F_SKA1_BUK has been assigned to the function for creating general ledger master records. The system checks for the useru2019s authorization to create general ledger accounts (Activity 1) in at least one company code. The system then checks whether the user is permitted to create accounts for the specified organizational unit (company code) and has the required functional authorizations. Authorizations in this case may restrict the user to certain Charts of Accounts. In addition, an authorization group may be defined in certain authorization objects to protect individual master records.
Profiles relating to an organizational role (eg. General Ledger Supervisor) are defined consisting of a list of authorizations and other profiles. Such profiles are then assigned to users with that role and stored in their user master record along with other data (eg. password).

Authorization control for "Revoke Status Closed"

Dear Experts,
We are trying to restrict the authorization of business transaction u201CClosedu201D & u201CRevoke status closedu201D through authorization control for transaction COR2.
For that I have included authorization objects- K_ORDER, K_VRGNG, I_VORG_ORD in the user profile.
I have also added these objects in SU24 with check indicator u201CChecku201D & proposal u201CYESu201D
Through authorization object- K_ORDER I succeeded to restrict business transaction u201CCloseu201D.
But I am unable to restrict u201CRevoke Status Closedu201D.
I have also tried for this with user status but through user status also I am unable to restrict u201CRevoke Status Closedu201D.
Can anybody help me for this.

Dear ,
You can do it through two option :
1.Apply Screen variant -SHD0 at user level in which you can switch off menu path of TECO/REVOKE etc.

2.You can try User Status at Production Order level .Refer : authorization for TECO
You can also check by User Exit : PPCO0007 (Exit when saving Production Order)

Authorization for Cost Analysis in Production Order

Hi,
Can I maintain the authorization for displaying cost analysis in production order.
I try to create transaction variant....into ZCO02 and ZCO03
but in COOIS it is still branching to CO02 when changing and CO03 when displaying.
I want to disable the cost analysis view in production order so PP people can not access it.
is there any idea?

Hi,
as i know K_ORDER is authorization for internal order.
We have activate the check in SU24,
but when we tried to trace the authorization when CO02 -> GOTO -> COST _> ANALYSIS
this auth K_ORDER is never check.
Did I miss something here?

Authorization Control for Quick Viewer

Hi,
I have create a quick viewer using table join and I notice that the authorization when I execute the program is only at table authorization level.
Question: Is quick viewer authorization be down to the field level. For example, if I join MKPF and MSEG and RESB to view stock movement with reservation information. Can quick viewer check the plant authorization object (M_MSEG_WMB) to make sure that the person execute the report is only able to view his/her own data?

Authorization control for batch master

Hello Experts,
I have a special requirement from client on authorization control on batch master. The requirement is user should not be allowed to change the batch header details but allow to change selected characteristic values. For e.g If I have a batch A, the header values such as prod date, country of orgin etc should not be allowed to change. In classification view few characteristics only should be editable, rest all should only be displayed.
Is there any option to do this. Either through authorization control or exits. We dont want to create a custom transaction to achieve this.

How could i get the material description in cost esti itemization view?

I have created the process order (T.Code COR1) and calculate the cost & get the material costing details.but i required to see the material description (Packaging material) rather than the material code (PK01-1204) in costing itemization view.
E.g.
SAP Material Code: PK01-1204 - Description - Packaging material.
while checking the costing view i had see the Material code PK01-1204 in itemization.but i required the material description (Packaging material) in itemization view.
Please help me to overcome this issue......

Dear Dhananjay,
You can have Material description in Itemization by following way :
Go to Itemization screen -
> Change layout ( On top you will find icon for this , below Display Itemization text)
In change layout you will see Filter icon ---> select Plant / Material Text by dropdown in it and save it so you will find material description in itemization.
Try above which will resolve your issue.
Revert in case any problem.

My requirement is that,during material master creation/change,my user can change only certain characteristics in a class.What is the purpose of Authorization group field available in CT04.This what comes with F1 help,but I am not able to relate to it.I have assigned this authorization object in user role with relevant value,but nothing is happening.I am able to maintin all charac.

This key defines whether a user is allowed to maintain this characteristic.
This authorization must be defined in the user master record.
The authorization object is C_CABN_GRP.

The object and values what you are taking about is to restrict the charectristucs change,,,This will not restrict value assignment in material master classification view.
This is required for not to allow chages to that chateristics in CT04.
If you want the material master chareostics value assignment restoction then you need to restict material master claasification maintaince view through the auth object - M_MATE_STA

We have an issue in providing MD61 -Create Planned Independent Requirements to the users
By standard authorization objects available , Plant level authorization control only is there
if we have to give authorization for many users in the same plant based on teh VERSION , REQUIREMENTS TYPE etc... is it not possible ?
can the authorizations objects be created manually for these and assign to teh concerned user's roles ?

Authorization objects can be added for an individual T Code also in SU24.
Check with your Basis consultant,Also i think its possible to give the authorization for versions as well
as requirement type also.

Plant level authorization control for Internal Order

We create Internal Order using tcode KO01 and being a multi plant scenario , we want to have an authorization control on Internal Order creation/change so that plant or profit-center level authorization rights can be given to the users .

Sonia-
It can be done. You have two options.
1. SAP security - when your security person can limit a user by plant, profit center etc using authorization objects.
2. Validations - Here you can create a validation where you define you logic. In your logic you can restrict set of users who can access a set of fields (profit center, plant etc). If he deviates, the system can issue error messages which is maintained in validations. Use transaction GGB0 to create validations.
