Authorization for Plant in component overview in CO02

I would like to know how I can restrict access to the plant of a component in CO02 ?

Hi
The user exit PPCO0008 ( Enhancement in the adding and changing of components) can help you restrict any changes of the component in CO02, please go to the SMOD to read its documentations. This is called befor saving the production order then you can check if any changes happened in the component, if yes, you can reject the changes through your own shource code there.

There must be a reason to add an empty line, which causes the silly authority check. As far as I understand Note 124769 you have got to add plant ' '. See Note 408003: ."Create an authorization for the authorization object M_IS_WERKS which contains the value WERK = . Refer to Note 124769."

QM: Authorization for plant, insp type and transaction

Hi,
I haven't found a way to solve this problem. Maybe you know better.
I would like to create an authorization profile that allows a user to view inspection lots and results in plant A and B for certain inspection types. Furthermore, the user should be able to edit these lots and record results to these lots in plant A, but in plant B he should only be able to view them.
Any idea?

Hi ,
Please activate inspection type 08 stock transfer ..
If this inspection type is active then during stock transfer lot gets generated.
Also check QM active for this perticular movement in custamizing setting.

User Authorizations for Plant & Material Type

The requirement says
Get all the users having authorizations to transactions - QA11, QA12, MSC1N, MSC2N & MSC4N.
Then filter out the users to those who have access to Plant & material Type which are entered on the selction- screen.
now how to get those users who have access to Plant and/or Material Type entered on the selection-screen.

Create authorization for storage Loction for tcode ME21N

Hi All,
     My requirement is to create authorization for storage Loction for tcode ME21N and ME51N.
     There are standard authorizations for Plant, Document type Group and Org for ME21N
     M_BANF_WRK, BSA,EKG, and EKO which i checked in TCODE SU24.
    But there is no std authorization check for storage location.
    If this is possible then please help me with the procedure and steps.
    Please guide me with all the steps that i need to take care abt..

For PO : M_BEST_LGO for palnt/Storage location
For PR : M_BANF_LGO for palnt/Storage location

All authorization for only PM/FI from SAp_ALL

if i wnat to create all authorization for Plant Maintainence(PM) can i copy from SAP_ALL and deactivate everything(100%) except only one auth obj- PM or do i need to keep any thing else?

doing that would probably not give you the result that you want. I would start by looking for a SAP delivered role that does what you are asking. Then make a copy and work from that.

PS an example would be SPOOL. That is in the Basis section not in PM so the person would not be able to print.

CO02-Component Overview-Batch Qty

Dear all,
This is a requirement in CO02 - Components overview screen.
Before releasing the Order , the Batch will be manually assigned in the CO02 - Components overview screen.
But to facilitate the user to select the correct batch from a set of available batches for the component ,
he needs Batch No, Vendor, Batch Qty.
While pressing F4 in Batch field, we can see only the Batch No & vendor. (Batch Qty is missing)
Is it possible to pullout the Batch qty along with the Batch No here in this screen?

Hi,
It is possible to do by Batch determination in production order, create batch search strategy (MBC1),
Create sort sequence by CU70.
Assign you sort sequence to sarch strategy.
Now when you create production order by dubble clicking on plan order, before release go to "component overview" tab,
select the line item and click on "batch determination" tab (at footer side) it will show number batches available for the material with there quantity,storage locations.

Plant level authorization for Notification Change

Hi All
We have 7 plants and person belong to one plant is able to open and change the notification of other plants.
In the role we have given restriction for the plant for the Tcode IW 22 and for the object SWERK .In the Notification only Workcenter and Plant fields are mandatory.
How can we restrict for a user belong to a particular plant can only change his plant notifications using IW22 only ---not IW28

Dear gangs,
Check in all the roles of that user in orgnozation levels maintenance plant and planning plant.
It may happen in one role you have ristricted for that user, but in other roles it may be having the t.code authorization for IW22 and with other plant also.

My doubt is will the authorization will check the plants in between 1001 and 2001..suppose i have pplants 1001,1002,1003,1004,2001..Now will the above code will check for all the plants or only 1001 and 2001 if i specify in the select-options.

First no need to LOOP AT s_werks and check s_werks-high as it will always be present only once in the table s_werks.
Do this
SELECT werks FROM t001w INTO li_werks
WHERE werks IN s_werks.
LOOP AT li_werks.
*check your authority thing here and fill the range

Presently we can restrict authorization at Purchasing organization level but not at Plant level.
Any pointer please!

First of all, this is not the right forum to post such a question. Coming to the requirement, this can be achieved by creating a role in PFCG where you can restrict plant and assign this role to each user id. Your basis team can do this.

when i am publishing the query in web, the following error message is displayed!
"No authorization for the component (query name)!"
i had installed and configured everything here, so the person responsible for authorization is none other than me. what i shud do now? shud i add any other authorization profile to the username created? or still any configuartion is required?

thanks for the info.
i had assigned SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles to the user.
let me say clearly that when i am executing the Query in the designer it is working fine,no issues in Bex browser too. but when i want to publish safely exexuted query in web (clicking the button publish the query in web) i am getting the above mentioned error!
do suggest me what is the authorization profile that is needed to serve my purpose?

/nsu53 doesn't return any object. Why?

It is a standard message. SU53 should show the exact authorization object which has been blocked. Or you can also try to check this with T code ST01.

No Authorization for Planning plant in MIGO

Hi Gurus,
I have an issue for the Goods Receipt for multiple line items of account assigned( F) PO.
When user try to receive goods thru MIGO, system throws an error (dump) saying "NO AUTHORIZATION FOR PLANNING PLANT XXX" even though roles are assigned to the user.
I went thru the OSS note 385830 but it hardly helped me.
Pls throw some light on the issue...

Hi,
Check for the Authorization Object that system is referring for the error in SU53 transaction. You may process the transaction and once the error comes, go to transaction SU53 check for the Authorization object there.
You can check the roles available for a given authorization object in SUIM transaction.
