Can anyone please let me know to set authorization to Table and Reports in SAP .

Hi Ravi,
Give access to transactions:
SA38 for Report programs
SM30 for Tables.
The 2 main objects cheked mainly are:
S_DEVELOP
S_TABU_DIS, respectively.
<u><b>S_DEVELOP:</b></u>
This contains the following fields:
<b>Development class for transport system</b>: Development class for which a user is authorized.
<b>Development object ID</b>: Object types for which a user is authorized.
<b>Node name</b>: Name of the programs or other types of objects, for which the user has authorization (also generic).
<b>Authorization group with ABAP programs:</b> Valid authorization groups for ABAP programs and associated objects. If you are not using your own authorization groups, you should set this field to the value *.
<b>Activity</b>: Operations that a user can perform.
<u><b>S_TABU_DIS</b></u>:
The object contains the following fields:
<b>Authorization group for DD objects</b>: Authorization for tables by authorization class according to table TDDAT.
Enter the name of the allowed classes. Table classes are defined in table TDDAT.
<b>Activity:</b> Allowed operations.

While executing the program S_ALR_87013105 (Detailed Reports
For Sales Order : Plan/Actual Comparison ) system showing the selection log.
"Have no authorization for the report/table 7KU6_001 and 7KU6_002".
But for the user the authorization check through SU53 was successful.
Pl can any one suggest on this issue.

Contact your basis consultant to provide the missing authorisation. This is one of the authorisation object.

I have made one report, I needed to check the authorization for the report, how to do it.
Eg. One employee is executing the report, he only needed to select his transaction
If somebody from one sales organisation, they only needed to take the data belongs to the sales office.
SELECT-OPTIONS: p_vkorg FOR tvkot-vkorg.
SELECT-OPTIONS: p_pernr FOR pa0001-pernr
for example two selection parameter is displaying. if my employee no is 100, while trying to enter execute the report for 200 employee no. no data should show. like that vkorg filed also should work.
Please let me know how it possible.

This code does an authorization check at company code level and removes all the company codes that user has entered but is not authorized to look for. After that we pass the filtered list of company codes for which user is authorized to in the select query and fetch the results. You can first select all the records from database for PERNR and VKORG. Then filter them and prepare new list of VKORG and PERNR after performing authorization check and pass it further to select queries in your program.

Data Modeler : Modifying the Table Report layout

I used the File -> reports option to generate the reports on Table and in the report
1) I couldn't see the column data type ? (Refer below table ) , Is there any options to bring on the Data Type in the Report ?

2) In options to manage the Table report (Reports -> Manage). Currently I can only remove a heading (like Descriptions Notes ,columns,column comments.). Is there is any way to customize the report in such a way that I can remove some columns (mostly the empty ones) from the report and add the column comments along with the column table than a new column comments table.
Please let me know ,is there is an option to customize the report .
Note: I even tried generating the report using the search then report , but it doesn't give a complete report (i was only able to generate a report on column or table name or constraints , not all together.)

I checked on the DM again, the report comes good for the one which has the data type . But now all my data type changed to UNKNOWN and lokks like ,due to this my table report is coming without the "Data Type".
Can you please help me in fixing this unknown data type issue ?

I have created a Pivot Table report (I use them all the time in Excel) as one of my rows...I am using a field that is a formula. When I look at the pivot table results there is a sum by this "row category"...all total 1726 items (correct # of total items' but the sum by each of the 4 items is wrong...when I drill (I can only drill from a higher level)...I get the detail of the 1726 items correctly...but if I do a pivot in Excel off the detail I get a different number in the 4 categories (actually the correct summary data)....HOW do I fix this...we really want to use the power of the report...but with such a large error it is difficult to trust the results of the report.

When you drill down...for instance...the data for 2007 Unspecified is 358 NOT 838....
Please assist!!! ASAPIt is very difficult to troubleshoot a report without seeing it, but it looks to me like you have a problem with your aggregation rules... each column has an aggregation rule, and a pivot table measure can also have an aggregation rule... sometimes, depending on the formula and columns that make up your formula, the aggregation rules can cause seemingly incorrect totals because the data is aggregated on the table and then re-aggregated on the pivot table.

i have many reports created by someone else on his own machine using same database file i use
my application use Visual studio 2013 win form with crystal report pack 9
i use rpt files provided to me
connect database use OLEDB
to show form i use below code

it's not working and formrpt shown but asking for database login
I noted that in database login window : server name refer to ORIGINAL DATABASE USED BY Report Creator not to my local database

Click on remote comparision button.

How to I find out the calling tcode of a transaction other than using SE93?
e.g
ABUM 's original tcode is AB01.
Is there a table/report that shows a list of the original tcodes vs tcodes?Table TCDCOUPLES gives a list of called tcodes for a particular tcode.

For parameter tcode 1KEF , called-tcodes are :

BUT this table does not show which called-tcode is the original tcode.
Using se93, I see that 1KEG is the original tcode.

I have installed on SAP Business One SBO 2007 SP00 PL49 the Crystal Reports Basic 2.0.0.7.
i have defined two users, manager and supervisor.
I have defined two groups, M and S.
Manager belongs in managers (M), and supervisor is assigned to the supervisors (S).
i enter to one report, disable the public option to enable group authorization, and then check M group.
Manager can see the report, but Supervisor is not allowed. So far good.
Then i uncheck M, then check S in the report properties, and Manager cant get in, supervisor opens the report, So far good.
But when we check both Groups or more, only the M group authorization appears to work, and S group users cant acess, even the report is allowed for that group, also happens with all the groups appart the first (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.).
It seems that a report can manage a single group, but i have to be shure to tell this to the customer.
So far we have included all Manager users to the S group in order that only S group is used and authorized users can use, but this is duplicating user participation in groups, and it would be much easier to check the desired groups for a single report.Cant use more than one authorization group per report with SBO CR Basic.

Adding authorization objects to Report Painter reports
Hello Everyone,
Is there way to add authorization objects to report painter reports ? I know it is possible to add auth group at the header level but I need to limit access at run time to specific objects, say for example, Cost Center. Is this possible ?
I have seen the Get_Reporter.pdf document and it seems to discusses adding auth group but not auth objects.

The only logic, i guess, that could be used is either defining the join fields or some restriction put in the selection conditions tab of the view. for e.g. if the view should only return Doc type XYZ, the same could be implemented in selection conditions tab. for transaction to check the view, it was already posted above.
