Authorize via email ?

Hi everybody,
I have noticed that the messages that the SRM send to the authorizators include a feature for authorize via email.
How does it work ?
I get a error message because the wf-batch users doesnt have a valid email account, so I put a valid email there.. but.. now what ? =( When I click that link it seems to be like a "mailto" link.
How does this feature work ?

Hello Diego,
Many things to adjust to enable the offline validation:
First on SRM side, for the approver who to receive workitem by mail, set the attribute "forward workitem" to "X". Ensure he got a mail adress and default communication method set to "email" (INT is the internalm code).
Run RSWUWFMLEC with option "one mail per workitem". Depending on realease, there is an option in the report to definbe the return mail mail adress, it should correspond to the mail address of the user wf-batch.
In the user wf-batch setting: set a correct mail addres and ensure that NO default communication method is set. The field should be blank.
Customize Sapconnect to send mail.
If you got a WAS, active the node, Sapconnect.
Now The mail should go in the outlook inbox of the manager. Approving or rejecting consist in sending a mail back to wf-batch in srm. Ensure that SRM can receive mail from outside. Check this point with basis/system people
If response mails comes in the wf-batch sap inbox, it is almost done. You only have to schedule the report RBBP_OFFLINE_EVAL that have to be executed with the name of wf-batch (this report read the sap inbox of the user who is executing the report).
In this report, select "check user" so that a check will be made on the approver mail address. If not check, workitem will be approved by wf-batch.
A trick: to test the return mails. You can either set wf-bacth as a dialog user, so simply check his inbox and execute the rbbp_offline or Define a auto forwarding of mails from wf-batch to a dialog user (if you choose this otion, keep the otion "leave message in inbox").
I guess too you are in a test system. So be carefull that the mail address of the approver is unique ! The option "check user" in rbbp offline use the sending mail address to check the user ...

Only the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. Sounds like the phone was hacked to unlock it originally. Find out what carrier it is locked to, and look up their contact information using google or the search engine of your choice.

Query Distribution via email

Hi Gurus,
Iu2019m preparing a proposal for query distribution via email and have found the following as the steps involved
Prerequisites:
1     Enable web functionality in BI server     Basis consultant      1 MD
2     Setup mail server                             Basis consultant      1 MD
3     Maintain email address for users             Basis consultant      1 MD
4     Create broadcasting setting for queries     BW consultant              0.5 MD * (Number of queries)
Please advice if I have missed out anything
Iu2019m also curious to know how the authorization concept will be applied (i.e. specific company code report for specific user based on the users authorization)
How to configure this?
Is there separate task involve for this? how do I include this on the above effort estimation.

I have recently created a website for my family's business. When we bought the Macbook the guy in Apple said the best way to send an email campaign to our mailing list was to publish a hidden page, find it in the browser on Safari, then share it via email, so that is what I do. For most of my customers this works fine, however I have a number of people each month who cannot see any of the content of the email. I have added an 'If you can't see this email properly...' link at the top of the page, with no shapes or images etc near it, but even that does not appear for them.
I am a self-taught novice unfortunately, so haven't a clue what the problem is. I'm not sure of the operating system, but we bought the Macbook in May and it has all the recent updates installed. I have just had a new baby so can't get into the store fdor a one-to-one, so if anyone could explain why this happens / what I can do about it, I would be very grateful! Thanks!

If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

I cannot send a Pages document, Word format via email from my ipad if it has a picture in the the doc. I can send a Word doc if it does not have a pic in it or pdf with a pic. Any thoughs why a word doc with a pic in it won't email in Pages? thanks

I cannot send a Pages document, Word via email if the doc contains a picture. If I email a Pages doc without a pic in Word format or pdf with a pic it with go through to sender? Not sure why Pages won't send Word doc with a picture in it. I check the security on the email recipient and the email doesn't get blocked or throw in the junk box?

If you have upgraded to Mountain Lion, Save As… has returned to the File menu when you hold down the Option/alt key. But you don't really "save" as other file types, you translate & export as Word or RTF or text or PDF & that is easily done by going to File > Export or Share > Export.
Also, please do us all a favor & don't use all capitals in your posts, either the body of the post or the title. All caps is the internet equivalent of shouting & is very hard to read.

The file format used by the iOS versions of the iWork apps can only be read by the new iWork apps on your Mac - i.e. Keynote 6, Pages 5 & Numbers 3. Those versions for the Mac require Mavericks, OS X 10.9. The "too old" error on a Mac comes if you are trying to open an iWork '08 or earlier file in the newest apps. If you do have the newest apps you can open the files from your iPad.
If you can't or don't want to upgrade to Mavericks & the newest iWork apps your best option would be to export/share the files from the iPad to a type an older version of iWork can read such as Word, text, Excel, etc.
Or contact AppleCare. They made this mess, let them fix it.

I transferred some photos to my iphone via email and they have very low resolution. First I sent them from iPhoto with highest resolution, then I transferred them to my desktop in highest resolution and added them to an email, opened the email and saved to my Camera roll. They all look like low resolution photos.This is the exact method I have used to transfer photos in the past with my 4S and never had a problem. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bad camera? HELP please! Thank you!

My husband has the same phone, we purchased them at the same time. I sent him the same photos in the same email that I downloaded them from and on his phone they show up with the normal higher resolution. Is it possible that there is something wrong with my iPhone or is there a setting that can be changed? I'm still learning to use it. All my other photos are of normal resolution. Does this make any sense to anyone?

Try sending them via the Messages app as opposed to E-mail.
E-mail shouldn't normally be a problem, but Messages will do as a soloution.
To do so:
. You need iOS 5
1. Go to your Photo Gallery
2. Open up the album/ images you want to send
3. Press the share button (top right hand corner)
4. Select 'Send as Message' (not e- mail)
5. Select your friends Apple ID from your address book for his iPad
6. Voila!
- it's something along those lines...... my iPad is downstairs atm, but the actual way of doing it will be similar...... !

DUNNING(Reminder to vendor via email)

Hello All,
I need your help in one issue. I am working on Dunning(Reminder to vendor via email).
I have maintained output type as MAHN with medium 'external send'.
In Delivery tab 1st reminder , I have set as 1- i.e. 1 day before delivery date.
I have released the message via ME91F.
Suppose PO qty is 100, Vendor has send 75 qty. Now if i release second reminder after 15 days of delivery date, whether the reminder will go for remaining 25 nos? Currently I am trying it on standard output .
Also please explain me this whole process(Dunning-Reminder to vendor) in detail as I'm trying this for the first time.

Yes reminders will be sent to the vendor only for the open quantity, not the total. The whole process for reminders is based on what you have maintained as reminder days.
This can be set in the PO itself, PIR or in material master via the PVK.
Example is below on concept.
You have defined the following reminder/urging levels in the PO item:
1st urging message: 10 days
2nd urging message: 20 days
3rd urging message: 30 days
The material is to be delivered on 14.05. If the reference date (in ME91F) is 23.05, the PO item is not selected. If the reference date is 24.05, the item is suggested for the issue of a message urging delivery (expediting).

Dunning letter via email with invoice attachments

Hi Experts,
We have requirement where in dunning letter should be send to customer via email along with invoice attachments.
We have copied standard script F150_DUNN_02 to custom one as per requirements and configured it in SPRO. We are using BTE 1040 to fetch the customer email address and assign it to structure c_finaa-intad.
This serves the purpose partially. The email goes to customer with dunning letter as an attachment properly.
The question here is how to send additional invoice attachments in the same mail? For example, if dunning letter contains 3 line items, then email should have 4 attachments( 1 dunning letter and 3 invoices).
Is it possible by some config steps? or please suggest me suitable approach to solve the problem.

Hi Partha,
Here are the steps that you can follow :
1. Using following SPRO path assign the dunning form.
Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business Transactions > Dunning > Printout > Assign Dunning Forms
2. There is standard BTE (00001040) that is provided by SAP which is called when dunning is run. SAP has also provided sample function module SAMPLE_PROCESS_00001040 to indicate how to use the BTE. The FM imports I_KNA1 strutcure and pass back structure C_FINAA.
3. Copy the standard FM to custom Z-FM and using I_KNA1-ADRNR fetch customer email address. If email is maintained, set c_finaa-nacha = 'I' and c_finaa-intad - <email>.
4. You can also set the title of PDF file in email by setting c_itcpo-tdtitle as per requirement.
5. Goto transaction FIBF. Settings-> Process Modules-> of SAP Application
6. Add new entry with Process 00001040, application FI-FI and function module as custom FM created in step 3.
Above steps are enough if you want to send dunning email to customer. If there is a need to send invoices as an attachments along with email then there is a need to enhance the standard FM PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE. I used following approach to achieve the purpose.
a. I created another custom FM to send invoices which I am calling from PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE. For this, I am using implicit enhancement option to modify standard code. With this option, I am able to send 2 emails back-to-back one with dunning letter and other containing all invoice attachments with respect to dunning letter.

Notify via email upon concurrent request failure

Hi,
I would like suggestions on the best way to solve the problem of being able to notify user(s) via email upon the failure of a concurrent request. Apps has the built-in ability to notify upon completion, not just upon failure. I want to limit the need for any user/passwd info being exchanged.
So far, my best bet I think is a dbms_job.
Any suggestions other than writing a shell script to login to the database and check on fnd_concurrent_requests?
Seems like this would be a good feature to add for Apps.

Sending 'Dunning Letters' via Email ? - -has anyone succeeded ??

Has anyone had any joy with sending Dunning letters via email at all
We can get it to work via FAX , but get the following error when trying to send via email
'connection error on node'
even tho, there is nothing wrong with the node at all
via SCOT , we have the default conversion as 'raw text to txt' which works with everthing else
If we change to 'raw text' to 'pdf' we actually get two PDF's - one is blank however
When viewed via SOST, you cannot open it straight up, you have to open an attachment
when we queried this with SAP, they say that dunning letters are set up to open as attachments
The function module is almost identical to that used by statements and remiitances, which works absolutely fine
I have posted this on a more technical forum as it is not an FI issue, it is a technical problem, which i hope someone has come across and able to resolve for us

Have you see SAP Note 1042992 - Dunning by mail w/ SAPscript: Introductory text w/ attachmnt? Please, check the steps that this note suggests. At a release 46B I did with the enhancement F150D001 (at ECC 5.0 it is too), and you have a demo coding in include LX150F01.

PD: I forgot, according your coding check what is the email address for the customer, if the customer doesn't have email, then the letter goes to the SPOOL order. Check it in the include ZX* or in the BTE.
