Auto-grading (text-answer type questions)

I am making a form which include a number of questions that test the students.
I've looked at how to set a numerical value to questions but how about questions such as
"What does NASA stands for?"
Is there a way to set a numerical value for a text-answer type questions such as the one above?

Thanks for your quick feedback.
On a similar note, is there a way to insert an answer key for multiple choice type questions so that a user who puts down an incorrect option cannot proceed without getting the question right?
For instance, suppose I have a question "1+1=?"
a) 1 b) 2 c) 0
A user cannot proceed to the next page without getting the question right. (in this case B).

We are in the process of setting up Service Desk for Solman 7.0 (SP 19) for which we have created a custom user status profile ZSLFN001 and attached to SLFN transaction.
Now we are able to create a new message with the customized dropdown for user status (fast entry screen), but when a message processor is assigned to the notification an error is generated with the following details.
Message type : Error (Red traffic light)
Ref object : Header Data
Message Text: "Answer the question for the current sap component.".
I feel this has something to do with the action "Answer to app-specific questions" but am not sure what i am missing here.

Try downloading something from the iTunes Store on the iPad and see if that solve the password problem.

Read the HT5312 page that you posted from, it has instructions for how to reset them i.e. if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 half-way down that page should give you a reset link.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

i had the same problem and i fix it installing ccleaner, it is free and an excellent program. You can download it from: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download
Once installed, in the tab "Herramientas" (sorry but i have it in spanish) you choose "Inicio" and them you pick CS5ServiceManager then you pick in delete option. Basically you are removing of the startup programs...

I use spry to create an autocomplete form that works great across browsers that have javascript enabled. You can store info in a database and parse the info to xml for a dynamic approach. Take a look at the filter examples in spry.

I tried AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(val); in the back end using setter method of input text field.

Always mention your JDev version.
The valueChangeListener would fire only when you set the autoSubmit property of the field to true. Can you elaborate your requirement? What do you mean by related data? Are you performing some sort of search?
If you want to get the value you entered on the field, just set autoSubmit to true and get the new value from the valueChangeListener. How do you remove or change auto generated text in returned form e-mails?

I am currently using Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional (Version 8.1.3) to create a form that will be sent to a group of people. When testing it, I've noticed that when the end user presses the "SUBMIT FORM" button and a new e-mail opens with the completed form attached, the following text is automatically added to the body of the e-mail:
Form Returned: XXXXXXX.pdf
Instructions to add this form to a data set:
1. Double-click the attachment.
2. Acrobat will prompt you to select a data set.
What I need to know is whether or not there is a way to either prevent this auto generated text from appearing or revise it so it gives a custom message instead.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you are getting a basic message that is telling you submitting the PDF is unnecessary and asking if you want to submit the data instead. I have not seen this one before, but that is my guess. If you are using the form fields created in Acrobat (not Designer), then just select FDF or XML for the data type to be submitted, not the form.

Question Pool Manager text not matching question.

How can this happen? I'm using Captivate 5 on Windows XP. In the image below, the text of the question in the pool does not match what it says in the Pool Manager. Note the highlighted line on the Pool Manager. It says "Type the question here" while as you can see the actual text was edited to deal with crates and foam. I have several quizzes with the same problem. When you take the quiz, all of the questions display fine. When you look at the quiz result data, several of the quiz questions are listed as "Type the question here." Anyone got any ideas?

OLM || Issue with Image-type questions

This is with reference to an issue regarding the import of " Image-map " types questions in OLM.
The legacy system which the client uses allows creation and assignment of 'Image-map" types questions to the learners.
As far as my limited understanding goes, these types of questions are not supported in OLM.
How to handle such types of questions in OLM , any pointers ??
Also , what exactly are QTI standards and how to convert the existing question banks to QTI standards and then import them to OLM ??

There is one method to support these types of questions by using HTML code in the question text, but it is definitely a workaround.
1. Use an HTML editor like Dreamweaver to create the image map or other type of interactive question. Save the html and any related images, javascript etc and upload to a content server. If the user gets the interactive question correct, provide them with some code to enter that will be used later.
2. Select a question type like fill in the blank
3. In the question text, use an IFRAME to embed the HTML page that contains the interactive question
4. The correct response for this question will be based on the "code" you provide users in the interactive question if they get it correct. They would then enter this code in the fill in the blank area and get credit for answering correctly.
Other options include building the assessment using a content authoring tool and offering the assessment as a SCORM or AICC learning object, or integrating with a third party assessment tool such as Questionmark.
Also,
Metalink Note ID #295865.1 contains the import/export API tech specification (this was originally written for Oracle iLearning but applies to OLM for the most part as well) and has info on the QTI spec that OLM and iLearning support.

However I am extending a system which stores dynamic SQL within an MDM column to facilitate a generic extract and load process. I am sure you are already aware in this type of scenario the business rules behind a piece of dynamic SQL defining a generic
extract process could easily exceed 4000 characters.

Auto replace text option?

Any way of auto replacing text?
I'm forever typing "form" instead of "from" and can't seem to train my mind out of it. Real pain when writing SQL since from is used quite a bit. Usually I set up an auto replace to correct this automatically as I type but doesn't seem to be any way to do this in SQL Developer.

I also tried playing with the SQL Editor Code Templates but they don't really to the same thing. They seem to be text you can add to the auto complete menu.
Any clever ideas to help me with my stupidity?

At the present time, the only way to clear that is to restore the phone as new. Perhaps a future iOS update will give us the option to clear that cache.
