Auto recording from Radio

Is it possible to set up my iBook to automatcially record a Real Player stream at a set time?
I have Real Player and Audio Hijack Pro on my system and wondered if I could set Automater to load the programs and record then switch off when finished?

or if you want to just put the machine to sleep just replace the "shut down" in the AppleScript with a "sleep" command.
However, how do you get this AppleScript to run after the Audio Hijack Pro session?
This is where it gets interesting. Depending on your needs you could:
1) include both the Audio Hijack session and the shut down AppleScript in an AppleScript/Automator action so that it would be called immediately after your recording session;
2) Have an iCal event call the shut down AppleScript/Automator action;
3) What happens if your computer is off when the recording timer is expected to run? With OSX you also have the ability to start-up and shut-down at set times. Press the Schedule button under the Energy Saver Panel of System Preferences. However you will notice that there is only one start-up and one shut-down time available.
4) If you have multiple sessions or they occur at inconvenient times i.e. 2 AM, you might want to check out Power Manager which gives you the capability to start-up and shut-down the computer at multiple times.

Hello, i need help plz, i like to record something from radio FM when i connect the earphones of the phone but the problem is the noise and if any one talking or the sounds of anything will be entered, so what should i do to turn off the mic to record a high quality from the radio and be clear without another sounds ???????

In some countries it is illegal to record radio due to copyrights so the system radio app will not have this function so you may have to use a 3rd party app to accomplish this

Recording from itunes radio into Logic

I want to be able to record from iTunes or just internet radio into Logic....I know there are some programs to down load that do this...Don't remember what the links are or the names of these programs...Can anybody help ? Thanks

Soundflower or Jack OSX - you install a virtual audio driver, set the system to output to it, and in Logic, record from it.
However, using Rogue Amoeba's Audio Hijack is probably a nicer way of doing this, as you can set up presets and timers and hijack the audio output from lots of different applications without having to do all the virtual audio driver stuff.

Recording from DAT using SB Conn

Long time ago I have recorded DAT tapes using my Denon DTR 2000. I used digital recording from CD for that.Now I am considering using SB Connect for burning CD's (DAT?is such an old stuff?don't want to loose my recordings). Anyone has tried anything like that? Any problem with SCMS?

Which input on the back of the card did you use? The Line-in is the stereo input. Ensure that you have the cable fully inserted on both ends. Also check with another source such as a CD player or personal radio. This will tell you if the tape player may be sending only the left, or if the input jack is failing.

Has anyone tried to match music-files from Radio.fx?

i have a lot of my MP3's recorded with the software Radio.fx from Tobit-Software.
Radio.fx records internet-radiostations and automatically cuts it into mp3's including ID3-Tags, naming and so on.
MP3's obtained this way are 100% legal (at least here in Germany) as long as you pay your fees for the broadcasting-stations (in Germany GEZ).
The Files are 128 kBit/s or even better quality.
If i try to match my iTunes Library, which contains about 95 % Songs from Radio.fx i get almost no matches?
Has anyone else tried this? Any suggestions?
Updating Cover Art in iTunes and Genius-Scanning works fine with this songs... but Match doesn't seem to work.

So if anyone has a real technical advice for me, how i can change certain parameters of my songs to make them match better, i will greatly appreciate that.
Nobody will argue that the matching process can't or shouldn't be improved. Certainly not me. Certainly not Michael. I expect there will be improvements in the coming months, but that does little for people like you and I who are trying to get iTunes Match to work for us right now.
As I believe Michael mentioned, there are some things you can try, and at the end of this post, I'll point you to a discussion that you might find helpful.
First though, I want to say that I've read many, many postings that Michael has replied to and he really has been very helpful to people like you and I who have been wrestling with some of the inadequacies and quirks of iTunes Match. There are a lot of people who are having difficulty with iTunes Match - many, many more than there are people like Michael who donate a considerable amount of time every day to helping. I, for one am very greatful for all he's done for me and many others.
I fully understand why he would want you to know up front, that no matter what you may do to try and alter your files, the chances of getting the success rate you desire is slim. That is not to say you can't improve your results though.
But, one only has to read through the numerous postings related to problems getting all kinds of source material to match to know you are not alone. Internet radio has its own specific set of issues (I worked in radio at one time, for what that's worth). The truth is, even people who purchased songs directly from the iTunes store, regardless of country, are finding that some of their songs do not match.
Now with that, I'll give you some background that may be helpful as you read through the link I'll send you.
Several of us using iTunes Match have a great deal of music that was obtained from vinyl source material. We take great care to obtain the best possible quality recordings, meaning we have a fair amount of money invested in our equipment and have taught ourselves quite a bit about the recording process. We do what we can to get the best vinyl, spend considerable time processing the file to remove noise, and generally record at 96/24. Many of us keep masters in FLAC or other lossless formats and tend to avoid lossy file formats if at all possible, though the final output files for iTunes may be lossy. We do our work with our eyes on a waveform, and some of us have gone so far as to load a copy of an iTunes version of a song and compare it to the waveform of our record.
Now some of us really don't want our precious vinyl recordings to match, simply because we prefer the sound of vinyl. For some of us, having Apple give us an option to force uploads, to buy more storage is more important than getting matches. Yet, we've all been intrigued with the matching process, since initially we did not expect much to match and were surprised when it did. So we've been experimenting.
Some of us have managed to get a 100% match on some albums, all but one or two tracks on others. Albums that were pressed fairly recently and are in good shape may or may not match. Albums recorded in the 1960's sometimes match, though the albums themselves may not be for sale in the iTunes store, so instead of our entire album being matched, we get a match to three songs one one album, one or two on another, and so on (compilations). The point here is that while we have been able to improve our success rate, we've certainly not cracked the matching code - though we have uncovered quite a few clues.
My guess is that if you read through the thread, you will see some things that you could try to improve your own success rate. In this thread, I believe you will find most of the experimentation that has resulted in improved matching can be attributed to a fellow who goes by the name robeet.

Anyone know of a device perhaps from Radio shack that can plug into my cell phone and go into my mac so I can record scratch track VO?
I need to hear the Scratch track with an ear piece of my own as it enters my mac.

Well I went off to Radio Shack to to ask them about an adapter because I saw one online once. They had not heard of it. So we began to go the put a bunch of connectors together route but I wasn't sure if the level out of my cell phone would be strong enough to go into a my macs line level input. Once I realized no one in the Radio Shack knew what a line level in was so I decided to look online for a solution.

We can fetch the data by using the views concept.
Go throuth this info we can know the how to create view and same like database table only we can fetch the data.
Views conatin the data at runtime only.
Four different view types are supported. These differ in the
way in which the view is implemented and in the methods
permitted for accessing the view data.
Database views are implemented with an equivalent view on
the database.
Projection views are used to hide fields of a table (only
projection).
Help views can be used as selection method in search helps.
Maintenance views permit you to maintain the data
distributed
on several tables for one application object at one time.
step by step creation of Maintenance view:
With the help of the table maintenance generator, you are able to maintain the ENTRIES of the table in SM30 transaction.
It can be set in transaction SE11 - Tools - Table maintenance generator.
Table maintanance Generator is used to manually input values using transaction sm30
follow below steps
1) go to se11 check table maintanance check box under attributes tab
2) utilities-table maintanance Generator-> create function group and assign it under
function group input box. Also assign authorization group default &NC& .
3) select standard recording routine radio in table table mainitainence generator to move table
contents to quality and production by assigning it to request.
4) select maintaience type as single step.

SM30 is used for table maintenance(addition or deletion of records),
For all the tables in SE11 for which Table maintenance is selected , they can be maintained in SM30
Sm30 is used to maintain the table ,i.e to delete ,insert or modify the field values and all..
It creates the maintenance screen for u for the aprticular table as the maintenance is not allowed for the table..
In the SE11 delivery and maintenance tab, keep the maintenance allowed..
Then come to the SM30 and then enter the table name and press maintain..,
Give the authorization group if necessary and give the function group and then select maintenance type as one step and give the screen numbers as system specified..

Then u will able to see the maintenance view for the table in which u can able to insert and delete the table values...
We use SM30 transaction for entering values into any DB table.
First we create a table in SE11 and create the table maintenance generator for that Table using (utilities-> table maintenance generator) and create it.
Then it will create a View.
After that from SM30, enter the table name and Maintain, create new entries, change the existing entries for that table.

Auto record meeting/ class and view/ share the recording.

I have integrated my adobe connect account to be able to trigger the meeting from moodle. Any idea how I can get my students to have a recording of their class session once it is completed and view the recording inside of their moodle account? We are an eLearning company.
Preferably, the meeting/ class session should be auto recorded without the users (teacher or student) having to manually record the session. Our account only has one host enabled. Both student and teacher will enter the class as presenters (classes are 1 on 1).
Apparently only hosts have the ability to record the class and it would be abit of a bother if I would have to enter every class and record it. Any auto record class/meeting session function?

Using java beans to store records from recordset

Hi there,
I have been stuck on an issue with Java Beans in JSP for the last few days and cant get my head around it.
I am basically trying to retrieve all the records out of a resultset which pulls records from a table through a JDBC connection and store the records in a html table using the java beans getProperty tag.
Problem is that the first row of the recordset is being applied to every row in the table. I have tried implementing for loops to iterate through the result set but without any luck.

I have added the JSTL 1.1 library and used the Foreach components and data source components which now totally eliminate the need for beans altogether. :P

When using FMLE how does the DVR auto record functionality work?

Hi,
Im using FMLE to send a live stream to my FMS. I check marked DVR Auto Record on it. But I am uncertain if its recording, for how long its recording, and whether I can control this functionality though my FLASH application. Do I edit an xml file in FMS directory to manage where the file is recorded to and for how long its recorded? Can actionscript from a FLASH app in the webroot dir access this file and play it back then return to the live stream? Has anyone found a tutorial on these matters.

I am generating a file that contains different information for a business partner with the aid of datasets. I want my records to look like this ...

Delete Null value records from 0BPARTNER

Hi Experts,
For 0BPARTNER info object we have 40 attributes. My requirement to delete the 0BPARTNER records which have all the attributes are NULL. I tried to delete the NULL records from master data maintenance, but those records already loaded to upstream targets.
Can anyone please suggest me any other solution to delete the NULL records from 0BPARTNER master data.

Start SOUND BLASTER LIVE recording from the command li

Hi everybody!
I have a Sound Blaster Li've card and have installed Creative Wave Studio ver 4.06
I leave the computer turned on all night long. What I would like to do is find a way that
the Sound Blaster Li've card could start and a way to stop recording automatically at
a set time; for example start recording a radio show at 4am and stop recording at 5am.
( For now I am using Windows task scheduler to call up a program I wrote to begin
the recording by issuing keystroke: "control r" but I am having problems stopping it by
issuing "control t")
Could someone tell me if there is a way through command line to start and stop?
Perhaps just writing a batch file?

Well, I found that one of the problems was the screen saver kicked in and would
keep certain software from getting its Windows Message through to the acti've
window. So now I am experimenting with no screen saver.

"Enable auto recording" question

When I turn off "Enable auto recording" in the recording
options dialog, then start recording, captivate still grabs screens
when i type on the keyboard. How do i disable auto recording
completely? I want to be the only one capturing screens, with no
intervention from captivate. I am capturing activity in a standard
dos window - typing in commands, hitting enter etc. Captivate seems
to capture all that activity. I dont want it to.

You need to also uncheck "Record Keystrokes" (and sub-menus)
in "Options > Recording Options > Recording Options (tab)".
Then open the "Full Motion Recording" tab and disable
"Automatically Use Full Motion Capture For Drag And Drop
Operations".
Also, on the "Recording Options" tab, on the "Recording Mode"
selection, open "Edit Settings" and de-select automatically adding
"Text Captions" and "Highlight Boxes" (for mouse-clicks).
